Slide Sorter View
Slide Sorter view is one of my favorite tools in PowerPoint. I use Slide Sorter view to easily copy a slide from Power Point to MS Word. By doing so, the slide can be sized to your liking without losing any clarity.
I also use Slide Sorter to save a particular slide(s) as a JPEG or PNG picture, which can then be used in all Social Media Platforms. Social Media like posts usually use JPEG’s while book covers for Self Publishing type efforts need to use PNG files because they can cover more ground with clarity and are less apt to pixelate.
I like to do ads that have everything I am trying to convey on the one slide and the resulting JPEG gives me that flexibility to have a self contained clear ad for Social Media purposes. Some call that method a meme.
In legal firms, the slide sorter provides you with a quick way to take particular slides and use them in other software such as MS Word and saves one the time of not having to recreate the essence of a slide that was used in a particular Power Point Presentation.
Grabbing A Slide(s) From The Slide Sorter for Copying Purposes.
1. Go to the "View Tab" and choose Slide Sorter".
2. Select the Slide(s) you wish to copy. If more that one slide, hold down the Control Key as you select each slide. Once you select what you need, you can right click and copy. You can then go to MS Word and paste the slide.
Saving the slide as a JPEG or PNG Picture File.
1. Under Slide Sorter, select the Slide you want to save.
2. Go To File, Save As, give the JPEG a name and instead of leaving it in Power Point go to the listing of all the file types you can save it as and choose JPEG. Right before you complete the process, the system will prompt you as to just deal with the currently selected slide or all of the slides.
3. Once done, you now will have the ability to upload/Insert the JPEG into word under Insert Picture, the same JPEG will look great on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Websites and on and on.
