Taryn Riggs - Sims 3 (May 3, 2012) and Wade ‘Dub’ Banks - Sims 4 (October 10, 2023)

I have screenshots that go back further than this, but Taryn was the founder of my Maxell family (the first legacy posted on Tumblr). She was so much fun to play with because she worked as a ghost hunter and was also a coward. She was just bursting with character. I played that family until the middle of generation 4.

Control Any Sim Mod Question...

Has anyone taken a chance and used the 'control any sim' mod lately? If so, does it still work? Or is there an updated version somewhere? I desperately need it for my next few sim play sessions.

I feel like I'm drowning in "follow" bots. I'm up to 20 or 30 a day! I go through and block them all, but I hope I'm not accidentally blocking real followers and that something is being done about it. What are they (the bots) trying to accomplish because most of them are blank??

Fallout - Official Trailer | Prime Video

First, Fallout is in my top five all-time favorite video game franchises (and I’ve played tons, so that’s saying a lot). I was nervous when this live-action trailer was first announced, but now that I see it, I’m not mad at all. They captured the games’ feel enough to make me want to pull out my old Fallout games and replay them (not Fallout 76, though🤢)!

It's about that time again - another school year is ending, so we must return to Miami to pick our son up from school (look at this place, I'm not complaining 😊). That means there will be no Banks Dynasty updates for the next week and a half. But, I will have access to my phone and the Tumblr app, so I’ll be checking in when I can.

Yay! It’s my birthday month! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve / Day. 

I’m way behind on everything, so I’ll be spending the beginning of this month playing catch up - and that includes reading simblr posts, playing/posting the Banks Dynasty, and getting back to my story Dark Form. But just a heads up, I’ve been working on new crochet projects and homeschool will be starting back up, so no promises or timelines!

It's that time again...we're off to take my son back to school. I'll hopefully have new posts up when I return next week. I wish you all a great weekend!

So - I misspell a word on a post, but do I realize it immediately? Never! I realize it several hours (or days) after it’s seen and reblogged. Then, when I’m doing something completely unrelated to writing (or I’m half asleep), my story crosses my mind, and intuitively, I say to myself, “Dammit, I think I misspelled (insert word here).” I check, and sure enough, I’m right. 

No - English is not my second language. It’s my only language and I still mess it up at times, so there’s that.

Oh well, even the best selling, published writers need editors. 🤣🤣🤣

Anyway, I had some adulting to do today, so posts will be coming late.

So, I took a few days off to update a build for some new Banks Dynasty posts, but now I’m just staring at my computer - unable to write a darn thing. We’re getting a new roof today, and all the banging has my nerves on edge.  🤪🤪

Maybe I’ll get something up tomorrow, but I just received a commission for a crochet doll that I need to finish by Valentine’s Day (somebody actually wants to buy something I created 🤗), so we’ll see how motivated I’ll be to do anything sim related. It looks like I’ll be taking an unplanned break this week, focusing on other projects and catching up on some of your posts. Be back soon!

I recently decided to learn a new hobby - crocheting.  100 mistakes later...I have a doll. She's not perfect, but I didn't even know how to hold a crochet needle two months ago, so I'm proud of myself . Thanks to My Pretty Brown Doll for the beautiful pattern book that inspired me to give this a try! 

Vest, shoes, and bag made by me. The dress was created by my daughter.

By the way, I named her Valerie.
