But she certainly was no Klyntar, nor -- as far as They could tell -- did she seem to have any experience with His species, else she might not find Him at once so objectionable and so approachable.

But the true game changer occurs when she scampers away, notwithstanding an injured leg, and returns with Eddie's crappy kitchen broom… floating beside her. In her mouth was his Dodgers ball cap -- a throwback to his upbringing in Brooklyn -- which she deposited on the floor at almost the same time the broomstick clattered to the wood beside it.

Her purple highlights are glowing again, his Other noted, as though it were something to observe clinically and not the least bit alarming.

And for a moment, Eddie wanted to chalk it down to telekinesis -- what sort of mutant were They dealing with here? -- until it occurred to him the particular items she'd chosen. A light went off in his head.

"You're tellin' Us you're a witch." He blinked. "Ooookay. Well. That would explain a bit. But not exactly the part about why or how you got stuck as a cat. Does this mean that you're gonna turn into somethin' more, like, human-shaped once you're able? An', uh… should We just keep feedin' you like a regular house cat? Wouldn't wanna insult ya if you prefer somethin' else."

What's the deal with Leif in the Venom AU? Is he a modern bug or did he get time travelled some other way?

He's a modern bug! He was raised by his grandparents which is why he talks like he's a hundred million years old.

He's married to muse and is a researcher! He studies languages and knows quite a few! He actually knows quite a bit of roach, while not fluent, he is the foremost expert in bugaria.

When Kabbu and Vi go to snakemouth den, instead of getting trapped, they get chased out by the spider. Kabbu knows Leif, and that he's interested in roach stuff and mentioned what they discovered. Leif of course, like any sane person with a special interest, immediately demands that he come on their next incredibly dangerous excursion.

Which of course, is how he gets venomed lol. And yeah, he's red btw. If i made him blue then I'd have to make all of team snakemouth blue.

The fact that angels can kill eachother that they have weaknesses , their blood can possibly be deadly to eachother ,was reveled to Lucifer thanks to Roo , and Heaven did their best to hide it , it’s why the exorcist had no idea they could be killed .

They couldn’t risk another Lucifer .

Off topic but I'm strongly considering retconning Copperhead's type of venom? In Suicide: Path to Hell, it was shown to be acidic but it wasn't natural venom, rather being a part of Sameer's body modification. In the comics, Copperhead's venom was a powerful neurotoxin capable of paralyzing victims and causing death within 30 minutes of envenomation but again, it wasn't natural because the venom was part of the suit so I'm thinking that as his venom is natural, it shouldn't be acidic but WILL fuck you up and very quickly if left untreated?

ah yes, hello edge lord. it is lovely to see you again. you my dear, are the incarnation of duality, and you might think of claws and venom mixed with grace but alas, nothing near as poetic. you my friend, are mixture of what is seen as right, and what is questioned. you follow the path of your own two feet, you know the twists and turns of life's forests quite well if I do say so myself. and you can meander along them wonderfully.

you strive to stay true to a certain sense of principles you might call your code, but whereas in reality, those would be your morals. people tend to see you as strange. sharp edged and glinting you hide behind a cloak of chain mail but really you just prefer to show off your imperfections first. unlike many who scramble to make it as if their flaws never existed, you proudly raise yours up. saying, "this is me, this is the worst of me, now you know what to expect." and might I say, it is quite an intriguing mindset, for truth be told, the ones that love your spikes and craters are the ones who appreciate your softness the most. you wish not to be loved as something lovable, but as a monster. for aren't we all just beasts in human skin?

you are brave, but you are lonely. you know quite well how to scare off most, making even the heroes with the boldest bravado creep away with their tails between their legs. you are not a villain, sometimes you play the part a bit too well. but nevertheless you are no hero either. you put yourself first, but if one wins your trust then may the gods have mercy on those who might wrong them.

you long to be a poetic mess of sorts, and well, if the ink sets in long enough you might just become that sooner or later. but for one who is so dead set on truth you sure do hide a lot don't you? please, step out of the shadows, there is a difference to not making your flaws visible and to simply acting as if you're the most despicable person in all the realms.

it's because you're afraid of attachment is it not? well let me tell you a little secret, everyone is. you say you wish to be left alone for eternity but then why are you craving connection? you wish to be known and understood truly, but you snarl and push the ones that might be trying away. please little wolf, accept you are lovable. you are not some ravenous beast that terrifies the multitudes, sure, you are not for the faint of heart but that does not make you an inkling less perfect as you are. young antihero, step into the sun. you would do better actually reaching for the things you want rather than pining for them in the darkness.

"Hey, Urs... Are you feeling alright? You've seemed kind of off since the other day."

"It's nothing. I just thought I saw someone following me when I was on my way home from the Turf War lobby."

"Ugh, that's so creepy. If it happens again, let me know okay? I'll make sure whoever it was stops."

"Thank you for your concern, but--"

[Suddenly, there's a knock at their door. Ursula gets up to answer it, looking through the eyehole on the door... And immediately takes a few steps back, eyes wide and heart pounding.]

「N-No... It can't be...」

「Ursula? What's wrong?」

「It's my... my parents...」

「What? Really?」

[Kori gently moves between Ursula and the door and looks through the eyehole. Sure enough, there are two older Octolings standing outside -- a woman with hot pink tentacles and a beautiful face, and a man with blue rings spotting his deep purple tentacles. She can definitely see the resemblance between them and Ursula. Her voice then lowers to a whisper.]

「Okay... Okay. Let's just. Not answer it. Maybe they'll leave if they think we're not home.」

[She then moves to lead the terrified Ursula to her bedroom.. Until their door is literally kicked open.]

「Hey! The hell do you think you're doing?!」

[The two ignore Kori completely, their focus on Ursula as they approach her.]

「So this is where you've been.」

[Ursula nervously nods.]

「And your brother?」

[Ursula remains silent, much to the ire of her father. He forcefully grabs her, digging his venomous claws into her arm.]

「Answer me when I'm talking to you, traitor!」

[He slaps Ursula across the face hard, before pushing her to the floor.]

"U-Ursula!"

「Now tell me where your brother is.」

「I... I haven't seen him since I last visited Inkopolis.」

「And where exactly did you see him?」

「Like that's any of your--」

[Ursula shakes her head at Kori, effectively silencing the yellow Octoling before she hangs her head a little.]

「There's... a sweets shop he frequents, near the plaza...」

「Good girl.」

[Ursula's mother then gestures for her husband to follow her out the door, only looking back to give Ursula a wicked smile.]

「Don't get too comfortable. Once we've given him his just desserts, we're coming back for you.」

[Ursula's parents exit the apartment, leaving Ursula and Kori stunned in their wake. After a moment, Ursula shakily stands up and makes her way to the table where she left her cell phone.]

"Wait, you're father's a blue-ringed, right? We need to get you to a hospital!"

"I'll be fine. But I... I need to warn my brother..."

Wondering if I should toy around with the idea of certain parts of a Chryssalid just aren’t salvageable for meat due to how toxic their venom is. “…individual specimen storage in reinforced caskets…”

But may depend on how the bug gets killed. But also their young and where ever that is stored in their body. Probably don’t want to ingest those eggs.

The worldbuilding I can toy with…

May just say sustained heat for a certain cook time can neutralize the venom.

It's not his preferred modus operandi, to be so heavy-handed in his deeds but after last night he knew that time was of the essence to start laying a false trail of his own. A trail of warm blood, gore and ichor.
