meet Mx. Master Abacus, or just Abacus for short. they use supercharged mycelial brainpower to practice physics by day and predict street racing outcomes by night! he also loves sour apple flavor 🍏 (also, bonus fishnet vest ⬇)
My partner and I started a session recently; thought you guys would enjoy!
Basically, my character (Falcor) and theirs (Morel) are co-owners of a falling-apart tavern/inn, and are on the verge of losing their business due to lack of money. When the mayor decides to address the growing monster problem in the most reasonable way (a cooking competition), the prize of 7,000 gold is too much to pass up.
So, our chaotic duo enters the competition, and are sent to the library to hunt down a bookworm to cook for the judges. Thus far, we have gotten past a door guard that shot lasers at us, and a pair of fire-breathing salamanders.
A bit about the duo:
Falcor is a dragonborn ranger that tends to be rather quiet, often letting their fungal companion do most of the talking. When they do speak, many are off-put by their bluntness(my charisma roll was crap, ok?). Also, yeah they definitely had nothing to do with the dead body outside the tavern...
Besides this, they love to read fantasy and romantic novels, and yes they have heard every tall joke out there, so don't even try.
As for Morel, they are a mushroom person with a rather surprising amount of gall. As a Druid, they love throwing people off by transforming into something like a black bear, easily quadrupling their size. They have a love for horror novels, and is far more outspoken than their reptilian friend.
They also probably have a multi-page criminal record, but they don't pay Falcor to judge.
The question is: Is Morel really that small, or is Falcor just really big?
You're low on health, out of food and at the bottom of the mine, and this wonderful little guy is tucked behind a rock, ready to be consumed and give you life. What a pal!
Stardew has so much replayability. I'm on my 6th file. I love.
Week 1: Weird!
