A Tale of Two Earpods
Tumblr media
Have you ever sat on a train while listening to music, and while you're watching the landscape, you feel heightened emotions? There's probably a name for this occurrence. It's almost cinematic even. When you're listening to music, it enhances this wonderful sense of detachment as the world passes you by at high speed.
That's probably what jikook were feeling, too, traveling past the pretty and snowy coastline. A little detached from the world inside the train, yet grounded in the music they're listening to together. We are invited into that bubble through the sounddesign as it gently invites us to come into their mindset.
There's a reason why this scene stands out. Something beyond the fact that when Jungkook gently laid his head on Jimin’s shoulder, he crushed the last dregs of sanity I had left, I mean.
----
The actual music we hear is considered a 'non-diegetic' layer. It's not something Jikook can hear, but it's added in later in post-production. This way, it functions as a guide for the audience to feel something. BUT, there is a very important physical element at play in this scene that gives an extra emotional entry into the minds of our main characters. The earpods.
Jikook are cutely sharing a pair of earpods 🥺 This places them inside a little auditory bubble separate from the audience: we can't hear what they're listening to. Luckily, Jungkook provides us with a genre: anime music.
So when Jimin remarks that it feels like they're in an animation (little did they know the scene would include actual illustrations), it was all those elements at play for him as well. The music is giving him the feels.
The soundtrack tries to let us in on their earpods by overlaying this moment with violin music, but it doesn't quite cut it tbh. I'm sure copyrights prevented them from sharing the actual music they're listening to. When Jimin starts to get playful and pretends to be a crying dog!?!?!? the cutest little flute/accordion piece starts playing. It's adorable and kind of folksy.
Then suddenly, the music switches to this soft electric guitar piece we've heard before in AYS, often at the end of sentimental scenes, like at the end of episode 4 when they're on the catamaran. It's a very melancholy yet hopeful piece, promising that this is not the end but a new beginning. At least, that's what it makes me feel.
In the train scene, this piece isn't used to end the scene, but it surprisingly builds towards something, a high point.
Here the music is reflecting not only their emotions: the train ride is amazing, they're really enjoying themselves, and it feels like another core memory being made, but it's also a guide for US watching THEM in THEIR moment. Like a little snapshot made for the audience. This is also OUR core memory now. Again, linking us directly to jikook, but also keeping us at a safe distance.
This concept feels foundational for AYS. Truly a show for them AND for us.
The actual highpoint of the scene ends with a beat of silence as JK puts his head on Jimin’s shoulder. After all the music, the silence at this exact moment is VERY LOUD in order to emphasize this gesture. A WORLD STOP.
Tumblr media
And that's what I felt when I first saw it. That little beat of silence was an exclamation point, a silent scream. Your heart stopped beating for a second there, right? The sound design danced us right up until that point, swaying us gently from side to side and then suddenly it dipped us and made everyone take note. The shot fades out, the diegetic noise of the train can still be heard, and almost like we had to take a breath to clear our head, ... we're back to reality with JK's voice. Sigh.
If you're still reading this, I don't know what to tell you,...you too are obsessed with jikook 😮‍💨 send help.
----
I rarely travel on trains anymore, but next time I do , I look forward to emptying my mind of real-world problems, and I'll think of this little Jikook snapshot instead.

not to be emotional about people i’ve never met but like. there’s something so special about team starkid
theatre as a medium is something that you are only really exposed to in its biggest possible form. it’s larger than life - loud, bright and brilliant, with 100 dollar tickets and famous actors on the stage. and then some college kids in michigan were like. that looks fun. let’s do that. and then they DID?!
i live in a place with a pretty limited arts scene (very little community theatre :() and so growing up i kinda saw theatre as an art of the other. theatre is for millionaires with british accents, not for bored groups of friends. it was broadway or bust.
they started out doing a thing for fun with their friends. and then other people liked it. and then they kept doing it. and then more people came. and now there are millions of us and they’re still doing it and we still love it and i really think that they do too
ostensibly this was not supposed to happen. joe walker thought that voldemort would be the last character he ever played. they were making props out of cardboard boxes. darren criss wrote voldemort is going down like a week before opening night. they changed the name from harry potter: the musical because they were scared of copyright. the show was supposed to stay between friends and family. there was practically no budget and everything was thrown together with scotch tape and a prayer and it worked. people fucking loved it.
and now, 15 years later, many of the same people are still just as passionately creating. shaky phone cameras have been replaced with cinematic proshots, but the same heart has always been beating underneath it all. it’s not unusual to see starkids on broadway. darren criss starred in motherfucking glee. there is just so much heart in this group and somehow it’s been latched on to and spread like wildfire.
it is so rare to see a group of talented and kind people being able to share their art successfully at the scale and quality that starkid has. there has been so much growth in the company, but it’s still a group of college aged friends who are having fun and being in love with the world and are showing no signs of stopping and it’s all because people saw their harry freakin’ potter parody musical and decided that they liked it.
tl,dr - baja listened to starkid homecoming and cried so much

Intro 0:00
Parte 1 - Impressão errada da sexualidade do Luo Binghe 6:59
Parte 2 - Quem é o Shen Jiu e Yue Qingyuan? 10:37
Detalhes:
"Shizun" significa mestre/professor
Bingmei é do Violão Escroto.
BinggeJiu - Bingge e Shen Jiu

Important Information for the four sister-wives: @santinihoudini - copyrights owner. @laetitiacasta - Founder. @rihanna - Co-founder. @itsgabrielleu - Co-founder.
Hey sister-wives!
Read this useful information.
Which field is more lucrative, Music or Cinema?
I think it is Cinema, movies make more money than music.
Question:
Between The Beatles and Stan Lee, which of these two entertainment superpowers produced the most wealth with their creativity?
ChatGPT Answer:
Comparing the wealth generated by the creativity of The Beatles and Stan Lee involves looking at their respective contributions to the entertainment industry and their financial impact.
The Beatles:
Music Sales and Royalties: The Beatles are one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Their album sales alone have generated billions of dollars.
Merchandising: The Beatles' brand, including merchandise like clothing, posters, and memorabilia, continues to generate significant revenue.
Concerts and Tours: Although their active touring years were relatively short, their concerts were highly lucrative. The legacy of their live performances continues to generate income through documentaries and re-releases.
Licensing and Rights: The Beatles' music has been licensed extensively for films, commercials, and other media, bringing in substantial revenue.
Cultural Impact: The Beatles' influence on popular culture and music is immense, indirectly contributing to various economic activities related to their brand.
Stan Lee:
Marvel Comics: As the co-creator of numerous iconic superheroes like Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, and the Hulk, Stan Lee's work laid the foundation for Marvel Comics, a massive entertainment empire.
Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): The MCU, which began in 2008 with "Iron Man," has become the highest-grossing film franchise in history, generating over $28 billion at the global box office as of 2023. Stan Lee's characters are central to this success.
Merchandising: The Marvel brand, including toys, clothing, and other merchandise, generates billions in sales each year.
Licensing and Rights: Marvel's characters are licensed for use in a wide range of media, from video games to theme park attractions, contributing significantly to revenue.
Cultural Impact: Stan Lee's characters have had a profound impact on popular culture, influencing generations of fans and driving economic activity related to comic books, movies, and related merchandise.
Financial Comparison:
The Beatles have generated billions in revenue through their music, merchandise, and licensing over the decades.
Stan Lee, through the creation of Marvel's superheroes, has been associated with a franchise that has generated tens of billions in revenue, particularly through the MCU.
Conclusion:
While both The Beatles and Stan Lee have created immense wealth and left an indelible mark on popular culture, the financial impact of Stan Lee's creations, especially when considering the revenue from the MCU, arguably surpasses that of The Beatles. The MCU alone, with its extensive box office earnings and associated merchandising, has generated a staggering amount of wealth, making Stan Lee's contributions particularly significant in terms of financial impact.
Approximate Earnings of The Beatles and Stan Lee:
The Beatles:
Music Sales: Over $2 billion from record sales (adjusted for inflation).
Concerts and Tours: Though they stopped touring in 1966, their performances and live shows have generated substantial revenue, estimated at around $300 million.
Merchandising: Estimated to have generated over $1 billion over the years.
Licensing and Rights: Licensing of their music for films, commercials, and other media is estimated to have brought in approximately $500 million.
Total Estimated Earnings: Over $4 billion.
Stan Lee and Marvel:
Marvel Comics: Revenue from comic book sales over the decades is estimated to be in the range of $1.5 billion.
Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): The MCU has generated over $28 billion at the global box office.
Merchandising: Marvel merchandise sales are estimated to bring in over $5 billion annually, with cumulative sales over the past decades likely exceeding $20 billion.
Licensing and Rights: Licensing for video games, TV shows, and other media is estimated to have generated over $5 billion.
Total Estimated Earnings: Over $50 billion.
Conclusion:
Stan Lee's creations, particularly through the Marvel Cinematic Universe and related merchandise, have generated significantly more wealth than The Beatles, with total earnings estimated to be over $50 billion compared to The Beatles' estimated $4 billion.

Storm Dragon, Amatsumagatsuchi
“ A legendary Elder Dragon spotted on Sacred Pinnacle. An avatar of storms in the folklore of Yukumo Village, Amatsu's appearance is accompanied by furious cyclones and horrific storms. Its fearsome power is said to outscale that of natural disasters“
Been a while I wanted to paint Amatsu ^^
There so must Okami vibe in him. Not just by his desgin, but also his lore, background, story, music etc....
In my opinion, like Alatreon he is Nature in all her Beauty and Danger. Can both destroy and spare lives. Look his ecology intro. Yes he destroy the air-ship but the two guy in it are save and sound and see, in the storm, the Elder Dragon briefly appear like somekind of divine vision.
And his music theme ! It’s so powerfull and yet so peaceful unlike other Elder Dragon’s theme. Like a autumn rain storm or a mountain waterfall above clouds...  Just the cycle of season and time carring by winds...

Fanfiction: Let's Read Into It
Have you ever read something, or watched something where you felt like the story should have ended differently? Have you ever been dissatisfied with the way the plot went in a book, movie, or even video game? If you have ever had this feeling, don’t you just wish you could take the story into your own hands and write out exactly what you think should have happened? Over 12 million people have had this same exact feeling and that same exact idea. Those 12 million people are registered users of the online writing platform called Fanfiction.net, and this website only has one form of media: fanfiction.
So let’s read into it, what exactly is fanfiction? According to the Wikipedia page on fanfiction, it is fictional writing written in an amateur capacity by fans, unauthorized by, but based on an existing work of fiction; these writings use copyrighted characters, settings, or other intellectual properties from the original creator as a basis for their writing. However, some people even go so far to say that fan fiction writers are textual poachers, according to Henry Jenkins in Encyclopedia of Consumer Culture, "Fans "poach" their favored texts to create a variety of new analytical and creative works. These works include message board and blog posts, self-published zines, fanfiction, art, films, "filk" songs, and fan "vids" - clips from television shows or films set to music." I do believe that fanfiction and fan works are not a corruption of the original source material, but rather a celebration of it. It is important to note that these fanfiction writers earn no monetary or financial compensation for their work due to copyright laws.
Some of the most popular fanfiction websites beside Fanfiction.net are Archive of Our Own, also known as Ao3, Wattpad, and LiveJournal. The most popular fanfictions out there today are being written about some of the most well-known pieces of media in pop culture, and people who call themselves a fan or identify with these groups belong in what is called a fandom. A fandom is defined to be all the fans of a group, or the state or attitude of being a fan, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Popular fandoms such as Harry Potter, Twilight, Supernatural, Sherlock, the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and many others serve as inspiration for the millions of fanfiction that are out there.
Tumblr media
Personally, I myself am highly involved in the world of fanfiction. Although I am a little bit embarrassed to admit it, I read fanfiction on a daily basis and I even write and publish some of my own stories. Here is a link to my Archive of Our Own profile where I have some of my work published: https://archiveofourown.org/users/notestellaespresion/works. I decided to start this research blog on fanfiction specifically because I am so passionate about it and I wanted to investigate and learn more about something I spend so much of my life on. This blog will explore a multitude of topics surrounding fanfiction and the fan community. I will analyze the psychology behind why fanfiction is so popular, copywrite laws that allow fanfiction to exist, and the restrictions of those copywrite laws to name a few.
I hope that throughout my journey with this research blog you guys can stick around and learn more with me about the amazing world of fanfiction. If you guys have any topics that you would like to see me investigate, please feel free to send them in my ask box. Thank you!

M (1931)
M is a 1931 German thriller film directed by Fritz Lang and starring Peter Lorre in his breakthrough role as Hans Beckert, a serial killer of children. An early example of a procedural drama, the film centers on the manhunt for Lorre's character, conducted by both the police and the criminal underworld. The film's screenplay was written by Lang and his wife Thea von Harbou and was the director's first sound film. It features many cinematic innovations, including the use of long, fluid tracking shots, and a musical leitmotif in the form of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" whistled by Lorre's character. Now considered a timeless classic, the film was deemed by Lang to be his magnum opus. It is widely considered one of the greatest films of all time, and an indispensable influence on modern crime and thriller fiction.
Badlands (1973)
Badlands is a 1973 American neo-noir period crime drama film written, produced and directed by Terrence Malick, in his directorial debut. The film stars Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek, and follows Holly Sargis (Spacek), a 15-year old who goes on a killing spree with her lover, Kit Carruther (Sheen); the film also stars Warren Oates and Ramon Bieri. While the story is fictional, it is loosely based on the real-life murder spree of Charles Starkweather and his girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate, in 1958.  Badlands was released in 1973 to positive reviews from critics, who particularly praised its cinematography, soundtrack—which includes pieces by Carl Orff—and the lead performances. At the 49th British Academy Film Awards, Spacek was nominated for the Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles award; at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, Sheen won the Best Actor award. Badlands is often cited by film critics as one of the greatest and most influential films of all time
