[The distant sound of quiet humming, and footsteps clad with wooden sandals echo through the usually bustling halls. Accompanied by the smell of faint burning incense, and foreign wine.]

[Could it be a visitor of some kind?]

[In one of the main halls, stands a man seeming entirely calm for the situation- almost nostalgically observing the surroundings with a smile on his lips. Hairs gray at the sides of his head, yet he doesn't seem much older than 30.]

[Something about those grayish-gold eyes is familiar.]

“Mmh?” Wuzhi enters the hallway, followed by Binx.

Both of them agree that they definitely know this person. They share a look, one that conveys those exact words. Their intuitions are screaming at them, but…not in a way that says “danger”…

Rather, one that says “friend”.

“Hello…”

How were you introduced to roleplaying as a whole? My first RP experience was in high school where we had a binder we passed around in the hallway between class lol I went on to forums, docs, email, mmos, and at some point tumblr and discord.

How were you introduced to TOA? I'd been missing the Tumblr RP experience and decided to search for an FE group and bam

Do you have any pets? I do! My black kitty, my baby boy who drools and meows a lot, Binx

What is your favorite time of year and why? Autumn when it's cooler but not too freezing and the leaves are pretty

What is your IRL occupation? QA tester for a video game company

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? Besides writing, playing games, reading, occasionally drawing, music, comics, collecting figures and such

What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? Tales of, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Zelda, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Persona, Harvest Moon, farm sims in general, Metal Gear Solid, the list honestly just goes on and on and on

Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon? ahahaha ok the list doesn't actually go that far. I didn't get that into pokemon. I do think they're cute but I just didn't get into the franchise. That said, I have plushies of chimchar, vulpix, and eevee so that probably says something

Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! - When I worked at a dental office, I almost set the place on fire. The dentist was really nice about it tho and eventually he even wanted me to stay and get trained as a dental assistant - I have a low spicy tolerance but I'm really good with cajun spices (likely from growing up in Texas) - I'm in the credits of games that you've heard about (I won't say what) - I have a horrible sense of smell

How did you get into Fire Emblem? My friend was actually really into PoR but I didn't get into it until Awakening came out.

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? It seems like…tsundere types tend to get me, or the ones that have lived a long time and have complicated pasts. but I have others that don't fit those trends too

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? tbh my indie has a wide range of character types and I try to not write characters that are too similar. However, I guess I tend to not write types that are Too extroverted

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? I enjoy all types but I suppose very emotional scenes are fun for me, whether it's angst or positive emotions

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? for Mikoto, I just want to write her with her children and also, tbh, finding a new love haha I'm in no rush for it but it'd fun if it happened. I'd also love to see her on the battlefield protecting others

Favorite TOA-related memories? Happyland was a blast to write with everyone and I adore the connections it brought so much. I can't wait to throw Mikoto into an event, she deserves it

Present or past tense? I think my habit is past but I try to match others so I go for present. if you see my flipping tenses I'm so sorry haha

Normal size text, small text, no preference? I default to small text but I'll match my writing partner, or use regular in case I'm concerned about readability for others

Got any potential muse delusions to share? 😉  ahahaha uhmmmmm if I can, Eirika, but if not then probably Peony or maybe even Rhys or Mozu. I write so many FE characters that I will never run out of ones to pick lol I've also written all of these characters at some point so I love to see how others write them too

New Muse

Meet Maia Karasu

She’s 6 years old girl and part raven.

She’s a smart, energetic, playful and optimistic child who’s very passionate about her interests.

Maia loves learning about witches because of her hometown’s history with them. She always reads books and surfs the web for magic tools and spells she can cast to help those she cares about, but she never uses them for evil because she is a good witch.

Maia lives with her mom and grandmama in a small apartment, above her grandmama’s tea and herb shop in Salem, MA. They like to indulge her fantasies, with the latter offering herbs and stones for her rituals, but maybe there’s some magic in her after all…

Her favorite toy is a stuffed black cat she named Binx. Her favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus.

Muse List

I got a little bored today so I figured I'd fill this out in earnest.

It's all below the cut- Note, I'm not going into heavy detail simply because I feel like some things need to be found out organically.

Really quickly before I continue, not listed here are a few muses that I have yet to do a full work up on but am completely capable of writing for! All you need is to ask <3

These muses are: Tripitaka, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, Bai Gu Jing, Hong Hai'er (and his fam), etc. etc. I can be asked to do more, just rustle me a little.

Wukong

-Multiple AUs available, and willing to look into more.

-Normally playing up the Himbo/Dad angle

-My version, ooc is typically referred to as 'Skittles' because I can't draw him with less than three colors.

There's not too terribly much to say about the Monkey King that hasn't already been said. Depending on the setting, he can either be enduring a lot of trial and tribulation, or he could be living the good life. No matter the setting, however, he has a bit of baggage, suffering from hudreds of years of PTSD because he didn't think of that when he decided Immortality was the best for him. Rarely does he show this little nugget of complexity, and when he does it's usually because all the emotions he's bottled up have finally fizzled up to the surface and the bottle is broke.

Liu'Er Mihou

-Played up as a Lich or a Vampire Lord as a result of having died and come back (explained below).

-Must have blood, qi, soul essence, emotions or nightmares in order to sustain himself. Yes, this is his diet.

-Missing an arm and covered in scars, but that doesn't take away from his overall appearance.

The Six-Eared Macaque (mine has been dubbed Gossip in my friend group) was slain as a result of some heinous, less than great things he did in the past. However, after Sun Wukong obliterated him, he was brought back. By the Heavens and the Underworld, it was decided that should Wukong not be 'tame' by the end of his journey, the world at large would need a failsafe. That failsafe is Mihou. As a result of what has been done to him, he can freely be killed and simply die in reverse to come back (think Binx a la Hocus Pocus). In a modern realm, he is more or less a cosmic babysitter dealing with the world's biggest bullheaded all-powerful being. He's somewhat cold, catty, and has the habit of doing things specifically to annoy Wukong when he's pissed at him-- otherwise they're semi placid towards one another.

Yao

-Works for Ao Guang and was hired to kill Wukong shortly after he got the Ruyi Jingu Bang.

-Plays a long game

-Probably the most laid back person one will ever meet.

-Tigershark Demon

Yao was hired to do one job, and incidentally, she's horrible at doing it. After Wukong raided Ao Guang's palace and took his shit (Armor, weapons, etc), the Dragon King hired three assassins to deal with the monkey. After watching her comrades felled by the Monkey King, Yao took a different approach. She came on like a friend, encouraging Wukong to chase his dreams. She fed his ego and dropped little nuggets of information to tempt him on his journey to immortality. This went on until Buddha introduced Wukong to the ground, and buried him under a mountain. When he was released and they met again, for a time, they were enemies. Hell, he wanted her dead, and she would have been were it not for the Monk.

She's not a villain per se, but she is The Consequences for dumb actions.

Genji

-Alligator Demon (Descendant of Dragons)

-A rather dominant woman with something of a territorial edge.

-Deathrolls are a promise, not a threat.

Genji has many brothers and sisters, but all of them serve different dragons on the various rivers and waterways of China. Genji's own master lives in a palace situated on a wide river, tucked in the treeline and seldom ever seen or approached by humans. The dragon is something of a hermit, and while Genji is supposed to be a body guard, she's more or less made to go get groceries and then some. In a modern era, her dragon master has passed on, and so she wanders about somewhat aimlessly, wanting to go back to the routine she had of coming and going on the whims of someone who absolutely NEEDED her. She enjoys feeling needed.

Mimi

-Snow Leopard Celestial (thinks she's a demon)

-Giant Woman, big softy. She's very gentle, and a touch shy.

-MomFriend

Mimi is the youngest daughter of Bai Hu (more famously known as Byakko). As she is the daughter of the White Tiger of the West, she is notably a celestial being. However, at a young age she was kidnapped by demons and held ransom, but stupidly did not leave the ransom note behind. So, ultimately, the demons ended up raising her, making her think she was one of their own. Word got out among the heavenlies that she should be found, and a great reward be upon anyone who found her. In a modern setting, she's slowly reconnecting with her actual family. She's met the Monkey King and is absolutely terrified of him. Monkeys in general are scary to her, but with a gentle hand and a delicate touch, she's very likely to calm down. Otherwise it wouldn't be too shocking to find her a mess of tears and anxiety, ringing her tail like it's a safety blanket.
