what about a suddenly got powers! snack au? i'm just chucking spaghetti at the wall rn but i'm imagining sirius having a moment like scott summers does, in which his mutation just manifests in the middle of nowhere, outing him to everyone and effectively rendering him an outsider.

Halloween Headcanons 2023: Mutant!Maneskin Au: Thomas Raggi as Nightcrawler

A/N: This is heavly inspired by the X-men saga with some of my original twists, so it will both be very similar but also different from the Marvel version. Click here to check out the other mooboards: Victoria, Damiano, Ethan.

-Thomas is raised by his aunt Manila in Rome. His parents abandoned him at birth after discovering he was a mutant due his blue spots, which will make his life among humans very difficult. 

- One day the ringmaster of the circus where Manila worked decided to hurt her in her tent, while Thomas was hidden under the bed. He decides to come out and takes his aunt’s hand. For a split second he thinks about the woods not far from the circus and by magic they both end up there. 

-He seems quite stunned but not too hurt, while his aunt warns him to use his power only if necessary. They change cities and find a new circus to work at.

- His powers are:  Ability to teleport himself and within limits a certain amount of additional mass which is in contact with him. (Teleportation), however he typically teleports only to places he has been to before or knows, to avoid any injury caused by an unknown solid object. His teleportation is accompanied by a *BAMF* sound and a cloud of smoke.

- Thomas wants to work at the circus with his aunt, to help her with the money, but she accepts only on the condition that he continues his education. 

- He gets bullied because everyone thinks he is a freak or a monster. He tells everybody his blue spots are a rare skin condition but some people still suspect he might be a mutant. Over the years, he learns to conceal his spots but not always successfully.

- Thomas has tremendous natural agility which makes him an acrobat. The circus audiences don't suspect he is a mutant and just assume that his blue skin is makeup.

- During his teenage years, a big crowd of protesters storm into the circus and interrupt the evening show. Their leader, a man called Matteo, accuses all of them of being filthy mutants and to hide between them to slowly kill all the humans.

- The confrontation turns into a brawl and the protestors set the circus on fire. Thomas tries to save Manila but the police are too close.

- “ You have to go, piccolo. But we will see each other again, I promise you.”

- Thomas starts to live on the streets, scouting for several jobs and hopping from shelter to churches. He manages to find good people but also lots of bad ones, especially once his blue spots or his history comes to surface.

- Even under lots of stress, his power still seems to fully be under his control, however Thomas discovers that the longer is the distance over which he teleports himself, the harder and more exhausting it is for him to make the teleportation "jump".

- While sleeping in a church, he gets approached by Ethan who promises him a safe place in a school for mutants. He is hesitant at first but Ethan’s gentle manners and the fact he didn’t attack him make Thomas accept his offer.

- During his first meeting with the principal, he tells him his story and asks for news about his aunt, without any results.

-” By the way, you don’t have to hide your skin here. I can assure you, you’re not the first blue mutant your classmates have seen.”

- Damiano proves to be just like Ethan described him but he is also incredibly protective and supportive of him, while teasing him all the time. Thomas confesses to him that he always wanted to play guitar but has never been consistent due lack of money and a house.

- A week later both Ethan and Damiano show up with a wrapped guitar for Thomas.

- “ Well we need a guitarist for our band, Puffo!” “Dam, c’mon don’t call him that.” “ Nah, he knows I’m kidding, Popsicle.”

- Thomas seems to be the main attraction of the younger students, he is used to having all eyes on him since his circus days but the kids are nothing but respectful towards him.

- He works on building his endurance to be able to teleport further without draining himself too much, in the hopes of finally finding his aunt again one day.

- During the holidays, he and Ethan receive a text from Damiano to meet him at an unknown address. After a while they get there, Damiano arrives with a confused Victoria and a key for the garage behind them. 

- “ Hello raga, you already know Vic but you don’t know that she’ll be our bassist. Let’s practice, I’ve set up all the instruments here.”

Halloween Headcanons 2023: Mutant!Maneskin Au: Ethan Torchio as Iceman

A/N: This is heavly inspired by the X-men saga with some of my original twists, so it will both be very similar but also different from the Marvel version. Click here to check out the other mooboards: Victoria, Damiano, Thomas.

-Ethan lives with his parents and his younger brother in Northern Rome. He is a very quiet kid until he trusts someone then he gets loose.

- Since he was a child he always loved snow and he really wanted to do ice-skating but his parents prohibited it. As a protest he asked them to play drums but ended up loving them.

- He discovers his mutant abilities in his early teens, when he froze a small pond while visiting the Alpi with his family. He keeps his condition hidden from everyone, especially his family.

- Ethan’s powers are Thermokinesis (ability to lower his external and internal body temperature, projecting intense coldness from his body), Cryokinesis ( ability to  create ice and to shape it as he likes) and even turn himself into ice.

- While at a party, a big fight breaks out. In the general chaos, Ethan’s younger brother gets involuntary punches which makes Ethan create a big wall of ice to save him.

- “Who did that?” “ I don’t know, but we need to get home, Michele.”

- The police start a manhunt to find all the mutants involved in the beating at the party, since several people end up injured. Ethan fears more and more for the safety of his secret and of himself.

- Eventually he decides to be honest with his parents, trusting their love for him and also to help them be ready in case the police come. However his parents seem disgusted and disappointed.

- “Have you tried not to be a mutant? Maybe if you try hard enough the powers will go away.” His mother said. “I don’t think it’ll work.” Ethan responds. “Then I think you should get out of this house.”

- However before Ethan can pack up his belongings, the police’s sirens echo throughout the house. Michele still holds the phone in his hand and his face is full of rage.

- He ends up running in the streets, followed by the police and their bullets. That's when Ethan meets Damiano and his mom and gets accepted into the school, leaving his old life behind. 

- He is a good student, he likes to learn but this doesn’t mean that I’ll spend all this time studying. The younger children trust him and he helps them when needed, the girls love to play with long hair and experiment with all sorts of braids.

- Sometimes he misses his family, even if they hurt him. He misses the good memories and taking care of his younger brother but he can’t forget that his past happiness was built on hiding his true self.

-Ethan’s more rebellious side definitely comes out while staying at the school. Damiano likes to take credit for it, however it’s probably the fact he has found supportive people and he doesn’t have to please his family anymore.

-” Ethan Torchio, drinking vodka lemon? The world is ending!” “It’s water and lemon but the ice makes everything look like a fancy cocktail.”

-Speaking of Damiano, their different personalities and opposite mutations make their friendship quite interesting. While Ethan manages to hold back some of Damiano’s rage, the other man makes sure Ethan learns to speak up and demand respect.

- He gets to have new drums and to play them in the music room. 

- Controlling his powers was never an issue for him, however he had to train to reach his full potential due the inability to explore his abilities in his younger age.

- His first mission consists in helping collect a teleporter and  Ethan’s job is to lower the temperature in order to weaken him, without hurting him too much. 

- However once he manages to slow down the teleport, he decides to talk to him instead of freezing him. 

-”l don’t want to hurt you. We have a school for people like us, you’ll be safe there. The guy seems to accept the offer. 

- “My name is Ethan. What's yours?”  “I'm Thomas.” “Nice to meet you Thomas, be aware that Damiano is a bit crazy.”

- That was the day the third member of the band was adopted.

Mutant!Afton Children AU:

So uh… I have a mostly developed AU idea that I partially got from FE3H and X-men that I’ll call the ‘Mutant AU’ where the Afton kids have a “remnant mutation” that grants them superhuman abilities pertaining to the integral elements of time, energy (power) and space. Originally it was a crack AU, but like all my AU’s, it slowly starts to transition into not a crack AU anymore-

The Bite of ‘83 happens, but at the EXACT PINTPOINTED MOMENT/MILISECOND IN TIME where Evan’s head gets crushed/bit, a ‘dormant power’ laying within him suddenly awakens and triggers itself, and time stops.

His spirit temporarily sort of ‘astral projects’ ascends to the plane above the mortal/physical world, and after learning of the situation, he uses his newfound power/essence and rewinds time to before Michael and his friends confront him- it is a steadily evolving ability since it has just spawned within him, triggered by the enhanced/mutated remnant in his body manifesting as an ability symbolized by a crest- his crest depicted as a triskelion.

When Evan reawakens back in his body, he’s shocked to learn that it actually worked- he’s back in the moment where he’s sitting on the floor cradling his Fredbear Plushie to his chest. However, he also learns that no one but him remembers that he ‘branched’ the timeline, as he still sees Michael and his friends snickering at him from across the Pizzeria and walking up to him. 

BEYOND pissed and rageful, and realizing with a newfound flame burning within that he’s not going to take his cruddy life circumstances lying down anymore- especially now that he has the knowledge that inexorable predestined fates NEVER existed- Evan basically tells them to screw off if they don’t have anything nicer to say. When they try and grab him, the kid basically bites down as hard as he can on Andrew’s arm, shoves Dorothy and Elijah away rather roughly, and kicks Michael in the crotch as hard as he can muster the effort to do so in his attempt to escape.

Both Michael and Evan are grounded after that. Ooh, boy, who would’ve thought, eh?

Well, there’s also the fact that Evan literally falls asleep and doesn’t wake up or even stir until the next evening due to the amount of effort he exerted by, y’know, LITERALLY performing chronokinesis.

Evan thinks he’s going crazy afterwards and doesn’t have a firm grasp on his powers, having really bad memory lapses, accidentally rewinding back or speeding time up forward a couple minutes when he doesn’t mean to, etc- this means his nights of fending off his nightmares go differently and are screwed up as well, and as a result of time itself being altered, his nightmares and hallucinations begin to weaken and distort, much to his shock. There are also more amusing symptoms, such as flowing water in the shower occasionally stopping in time. His perception of time becomes really screwed, and he becomes a bit concerned and occupied with buying clocks and experimenting with them to see if he really gained a newfound, mayhaps slightly overpowered ability out of the blue, all while trying to keep this madness a secret from his family.

But what NOBODY knows is that Evan awakening his power would prompt the power laying dormant within his siblings to awaken as well, affecting them in a catalyst-type fashion. His brother Michael would gain the ability symbolizing raw power, such as monstrously superhuman strength, a noticeably unusually robust constitution, and energy manipulation (being electrokinesis as well as the manipulation of potential and kinetic energy). This power would consolidate into the form they take today and would be awakened by remnant, as well as a crest within him resembling that of an Eye of Horus.

Meanwhile there’s Elizabeth with astrokinesis consolidated into form by her crest- a scarab beetle. There's her, who literally can warp through space, send objects into zero-gravity and ‘teleport’ to anywhere depending on the energy she exerts- and in the beginning, all three siblings can’t control their abilities and try desperately to keep it a secret from one another and everyone around them, while trying to figure out what’s happening to them as well. Michael and Elizabeth also discover their powers via eventful and shocking ways as well.

William is heavily suspicious, while Eleanor and the rest of Hurricane remain blissfully unaware of the fact that, possibly because of all the half-supernatural, half-sci-fi shit going on beneath the surface, they’re accidentally housing three spiritually mutant superhuman siblings that are panicking so hard because oye, they don’t know what the everloving fuck is happening to them either.
