Homelander: so? They play good music
Deep: …. What about our trip to San Francisco then?
Homelander: I wanted to go shopping.
Deep: b..but you made love to me-

I'd love to read you breaking down Dimi/Rhealeth :)
Oh thats interesting, I'd love to do that. I will predominantly use she/her pronouns for Byleth just for ease, though I acknowledge that Rhealeth is a bi-ship for both Byleths.
Starting with Dimileth, its plain and simple, as a feminist and lesbian I just dislike the overall ship-dynamic of it, but I get the broader appeal of it. I mean, its basically a sizable portion of the contemporary published het-romance genre in a nutshell, you have a dangerous and unstable psychologically haunted men who hides a sweeter core and pair him with a kind and loving women who through self-sacrifice, selfless nuturing and tenderness fixes him and cures him of his ills. Its a super basic het dynamic and I personally really dislike it because of the very heteronormative, gendered patriachal dynamics involved in it, especially since the ship ingame strongly contextualizes Byleth as tender and fragile, in opposition to her characterization as a famed mercenary and powerful warrior.
I would argue that the ship is probably more favorable with Byleth as the PoV and Self-Insert character than the other way around, where it kind of can have incel-esque vibes and plays into issues of male entitlement towards a nuturing woman who acts as both a caretaker and a lover to a man. From a queer feminist standpoint, I dislike it either way, but there are individual pieces of fanart I can enjoy more than others, when they lean more into a physically strong and trained Byleth who appears as more of Dimitris equal. I guess I personally also get more behind it with Dimitris Post-Timeskip design in mind, which is one of the few male designs I find genuinly appealing, than with Pre-Timeskip Dimitri who is super bland in terms of personality and design for the most part. When I want to mock it, I call it 50 Shades of Fire Emblem, but I think there is not much more that needs to be said about the ship and my feelings on it.
I'm actually more fond of it when it involves Male Byleth being paired with Dimitri. I'm usually really not invested into m/m ships, being a near exclusive w/w shipper myself, but I think its a good example of how even with genderblind writing, a narrative can't really escape strong contextual and subtextual differences due to changing gendered dynamics, explicitely in a game like 3 Houses, that has at least implicitely alot to say about gender. There is also the difference between vibes in F!Byleth and M!Byleth, M!Byleth coming off as much more serious and reserved in comparison. I think this really helps to recontextualize the scenes between M!Byleth and Dimitri and the potential ship dynamic, there being more of an element of tenderness and nuture that M!Byleth displays despite his more reserved vibes which I prefer, similar to me liking the dynamic between F!Byleth and Edelgard much more, because I think this social Awkwardness and kinda autistic vibes f!Byleth has match well with Edelgards openness and interest in her. For a while I was more in the camp of wishing Claude was also bisexual and viewing Dimitri from a more unfavorable cishet perspective, but I think nowadays, if I could only one of those two romancable by both Byleths, I would go for Dimitri, especially since I think that with the culture of Faerghus in mind, there are some interesting headcanons for queer Dimitri. I recently saw an interpretation of Dimitri as transmasc in the Edelgard server lol and that was one that really captivated me, so Transmasc Dimitri x M!Byleth would be a ship I really would find interesting and I kinda grew on the idea of both Byleths being present and f!Byleth going with Edelgard and m!Byleth going with Dimitri, lol.
When it comes to Rhealeth, I think I have less to say about those two. I really personally don't feel it and I think the ship is just too inheritly problematic for me to enjoy. It is another ship that is canonically Bi, but I personally really dislike both variants of it. I think with the entire context in mind, there is a very uncomfortable vibe between Byleth and Rhea in their supports and it reads strongly as grooming and lovebombing, especially since Rhea doesn't seem exactly interested in Byleth as a person, but more in them in relation to being the child of people she was close to and her being the vessel of Sothis. The former already makes she ship kinda yikes, because there is a clear incestious element in it all that goes far beyond even Fates Step-Sibling kink. For all intents and purposes, Rhea is Byleths grandmother. She created Sitri, raised her and openly expresses that she viewed her as a daughter, while also being close to Jeralt since he was a young man or outright boy. Her ending up marrying their child, who she helped to deliver, is really messed up on a level where its just plain problematic and I don'T see much room in looking past it or viewing this as something romantic.
Then there is the fact that Rheas behavior if you chose Crimson Flower puts into question how sincere she is during all of their supports. Edelgard and Byleth also can end up in opposing sides of the war and fight each other, thats sure, but Edelgard still never expresses outright hatred or malice towards Byleth, she always treats her with respect and adoration, them fighting because they chose different sides in a war. With Rhea its very different, its an immediate snap into outright malice and dehumanization in a way that is very ugly and uncomfortable. At best thats outright toxic and unstable BPD behavior, to immediately dehumanize and devalue every aspect of a person because you feel rejected. I saw people here actually encourage and support this kind of behavior, which is a massive red flag on those people for me. At worst, its basically just Rhea spending the first part of the game purely lovebombing her and when Byleth doesn't conform, she expresses immediate malice.
I think it can be interesting potentially, but not in this romanticized way people on this website would probably advocate for it. Rhea has strong groomer and cultleader vibes, her behavior towards Byleth is a good example of grooming and the same can be extented to everyone else she is in close contact with, who isn't an actual Nabathean. People get enarmored alot with her motherly, benevolent persona, but I always felt like it comes off as more uncomfortable, very superficial, very thin. And in the end, with her behavior in CF also taken into mind because as much as ArchFireemblem and his Tradcath gang want to deny it, its also part of Rheas canonical characterization, She comes off as an unstable womanchild who does play at the motherly figure, emulating t his flat and infantile idealized and flawed vision of Sothis she has constructed in her head, which just does not exist.
In this vein, I think Rhealeth can be interesting in the way Makima/Denji from Chainsaw Man is fascinating and one of the most captivating and gutwrenching toxic relationships in contemporary media, as an analysis of a toxic and abusive relationship in which a powerful and mentally juvenile older woman grooms and manipulaties a socially isolated and impressionable younger woman she has a high level of power over into fulfilling her needs and constructing them into an idealized vision of an entirely different person.
So yeah, thats it. I think ultimately I'm really much more favorable and positive about Dimileth, even Het!Dimileth, than I'm to either version of Rhealeth. With Dimileth, I get the appeal and I can see how it is just a very popular and common fantasy which I personally dislike. With Rhealeth on the other hand, I just really can't see it in any other way but a very abusive and toxic instance of grooming and so far I personally found the kinds of people to whom that ship would appeal so far to be more than uncomfortable, which isn't necessarily my experience with Dimileth.
And hey, on the offchance that somebody reads this and gets Trans!Dimitri as a headcanon out of it, no matter with what kind of ship, just hit me up, I'm happy to read it.

𝚂𝙴𝚇𝚄𝙰𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚈 𝚂𝚃𝚄𝙵𝙵 ::
Alright. Here we go. Sewed together old posts I managed to find ! Apologies if anything is repetitive, again, this is two and a half separate posts I managed to find. Couldn't find my big ol' posts about Mimzy and Als other relationships except for what was mentioned in one of my previous HC posts that I already recovered and posted so I just added a nutshell/recap of those below. Al's sexuality is very funny to me because yeah I'm a horror writer its hard for me to not use cannibalism as a twisted allegory for love / desire bc I love that trope. Yet I know that's not entirely accurate for Alastor because his cannibalism is very much exocannibalism, meaning it comes from a place of extreme aggression and likened heavily to predation.
So we're here with this "I Love Women. I Eat Men. I Fuck Nothing." Confusing, demented bullshit and I've mentioned before that as far as sexuality goes, in my headcanon, people have a very hard time figuring Alastor out and the man really doesn't help anyone, not one little bit !
He has no concept of the ace spectrum so he wouldn't know to relate himself to anything on it. When I say this, I need to be clear, this does not mean Alastor is "innocent", "naive" or anything like that. Alastor doesn't have a concept or grasp on the aspectrum for two reasons ! One: it wasn't a thing in his time the same way and Two: He doesn't care enough to look into it today and even if he did he'd likely reject it as true for him because he just likes to stay playing. Which is funny to think about because his reasoning for this would be because he's a product of his time and in his time asexuality would have been looked at as being broken in some way but more than that, the "proper way" to behave romantically and sexually in his day was much less forward, so to speak, than today's standards, so Alastor has always just seen himself as mostly normal and looks at his sexual desire or lack-thereof as just knowing how to conduct himself in a dignified and proper way, which is something he seems to think others around him lack. In a lot of ways, to Alastor, he isn't aspec, the rest of you are just way too fucking horny !!! Yes, theres a layer of insecurity here that is masked with the godly amount of self-confidence this mother fucker projects but I think in some way... Alastor kinda likes fucking with people as well. Like to say its complicated is an understatement. Another amusing facet of this being that Alastor doesn't entirely have the same feelings towards homosexuality or bisexuality which he also sees as mostly normal and even possibly LESS shameful than any implication of being a 'flat tire', again due to his time period and this might come as a shock as I know the fandom claims Alastor is from the 30s but he isn't. He died in the VERY early 30s. Alastor is actually from the 1900s-1920s. Thats his time period. And the 20s were very special times given they were the times of extreme sexual exploration and experimentation coming out of edwardian era. So the 20s are this batshit little capsule of Victorian prudishness and simultaneous outlandish whoring from men and women alike. A place where gay culture thrived, was largely embraced and exploded in a way that wasn't seen again until really todays time. And Alastor was in fact, in every way, at the club. He did not miss out on any of the apply named roaring 20s. He was indeed party rocking. Don't let his cheery grin and bespectacled face fool you, he could out drink and out dance even the crunkest clubbers of the 2000s. Further, he defiantly "preforms" romance with women, but still keeps people confused because they stay hanging as regardless to this, most things beyond the courtship stage develop to friendship with him rather than an actual relationship. Read; Queer-platonic relationships with Alastor but the problem here being this isn't actually communicated so a lot of people completely miss it and so they sit in this weird really good friends, maybe lovers, but suck on the will we/wont we "go further" stage which often ends in heart break and confusion.
So Alastor ends up with a bunch of "girlfriends" but I'm pretty sure none of them really know what they are to him or how to categorize him, because he's certainly not a 'gay bestie', but then he feels to be more that than "a guy friend" yet he's not really a "boyfriend" so what is he ? Then you have the fact he has no desire to eat women and according to him, in my headcanon, he only eats men and thats the only kind of lust Alastor claims he feels and he's really happy, if not over-eager to embrace this. Alastors also kinda sadistic and draws a type of arousal/pleasure from inflicting pain, specifically on men.
As far as men go its not really uncommon for them to mistake him as gay, either. My man is out here prancing around and limp wristing it like its no ones business and apparently Alastor's self aware enough to make unsettling jokes that allude to him being bisexual or gay but are actually wholly in reference to his horrible habit of eating dudes. (And by preference, only dudes. Editor note: this was in reference to a thread that has since been deleted with my old blog rip !!) Also mentioned in an older post, he does have this concept of the fact he just hasn't found the right woman yet and he'd settle if he did but... Theres also the fact if anyone actually met Alastor's "standards", he'd be more likely to just move the goal post and being in hell has kinda removed this idea he had in life that this was something important but obviously rather than giving him freedom in the sense of sexual liberty, he just doesn't feel like he needs to have serious intentions with women anymore, romancing them is something he can easily do with no obligation for anything serious or to even take the relationship to a sexual level which is what he would feel pressured/expected to do if he was alive, like he's truly just playing all the time, with everyone, forever.
Thats Alastor's problem. Never can stop playing. He flirts and leads people on but if he's not luring them to a gruesome death he's luring them around in circles. Like I imagine Al has a lot of broken and confused hearts behind him because of this but its also complicated because very few of them are particularly scorned or feel the right to feel that way because the men end up dead and the women usually feel more benign toward him regardless because he always treated them so kindly even if he vanished out of their lives with no obvious reason.
Along with the constant idea of "what even are we" in the first place because despite the flirting and the moments of intimacy Alastor never made any attempt to put a label on it or go further. In fact if there ever comes a point in Al's relationships where it seems its time to "take the next step" it often just wont happen and if anything developmental wise does happen its in the sense that he pulls away and the other party ends up kind of "abandoned." If Alastor goes further the relationship is instantly doomed because he will up and dip. In spirit he's the father who goes to shop for milk and never comes back. Back to the lusting/cannibalism/predation towards men which leads one to wonder is Al a very deeply closeted gay/bi man ? Did the attitudes of his time period and thus possible social/emotional/mental trauma cause things to be so twisted for him ? The answer isn't clear to anyone and Alastor wont label himself any kind of bisexual because his "affairs" with men almost always end with him killing and eating them.
He has, however, actively seduced men, and this was something he started doing almost as a habit when he was a human. Chatting up usually very drunk guys and luring them away from social gatherings was a thing for him and this being before he started cannibalizing them. ( No doubt these men would have the idea they were getting lucky. None of them would have thought they were going on a caste friendship stroll, so the intentions were not just "friendly", Alastor knew what he was doing. ) I can tell you there was a thrill in this for Alastor. Not just in the killing them sense. Tbh I think Alastor's been as confused with himself as everyone else as been but at the same time ? Alastor likes hurting people and doesn't take a lot of the love/romance/sex stuff seriously so he's never deeply reflected on any of it. There is also one guy Alastor killed that Alastor couldn't really justify. Maybe the murder of this guy is the one that landed Alastor in hell because usually Alastor killed and specifically targeted complete scumbags who "deserved" what they got. But there was, as far as my hc goes, one poor guy that didn't match Alastor's usual victims. He wasn't a bad person. Didn't really do anything wrong and Alastor didn't kill him for any sense of revenge. He seduced this guy and maybe actually liked him but when it came time for all the flirtation to go somewhere it somehow ended in death. He wasn't brutalized like most of Alastor's other victims. Its a single stab wound and, tbh, Alastor still doesn't really know why he did that ! He wont talk about it either. Was it a moment of some tragic internalized homophobia ??? Was he worried about performance because he'd never been with a guy before ??? Or did he just get excited and forget the human body isn't meant to be penetrated with knives ? Again Alastor's a bit of a sadist. All the above ??? He can't tell you what he was thinking because he doesn't really know, he was lost in a moment and he just knows he regrets it and didn't intend to kill that guy.
Plus we again have that concept of Alastor being very vain and just finding that no one really measures up to his level of expectation. I just don't know if he really knows what the expectation is because of all this convoluted neurotic shit. He's ultimately best defined in my HC as gray-aspec, and calling him a dandy cannibalistic misandrist playboy feminist is somehow way easier than unpacking any of all that shit. Oh and on this subject, I think I mentioned before, but no, I don't depict Alastor as a virgin. He rarely fucks but he can and has in the past. Despite finding himself kind of adverse to it. Like. I would not call Alastor a "sex-favorable" asexual despite his rare and occasional engagement.
Alastor's main gripe with Sex is.... A) He doesn't ever like loss of control, Alastor likes to feel like hes in control of situations. This doesn't even speak to his preference on giving or receiving, either, just in general. Alastor's disinterest means he usually takes whatever position the other person doesn't want so he usually tops with women and almost bottoms with men *y'know, if he ever got that far without killing and eating them. Sex almost always comes with some "loss" of control which is actually why some people get addicted to it or even use it to self harm, but also B) its just... Not that great. Its a lot of work for a few moments of ecstasy to him, and yeah while thats not really a thought in the moment it often hits in the aftermath LOL. Like this man does not have the modern porn brain or social conditioning to think sex is the be all, an orgasm wont change that, he's fully on the reality that its really just a thing best enjoyed at personal leisure if you're into it or maybe someone you like is into it, and its not something everyone ( especially he ) needs or an essential to life. Again he kinda doesn't understand why everyone else is so obsessed and kinda thinks theyre all faking it. Like yes ! You cum ! Big deal !
So yeah, once again, do not try to talk to Alastor about Asexuality, he'd be inclined to see it as an impotence thing and not only is that not allowed due to toxic social constructs surrounding masculinity and his era of living, but along with that for him its also like. His shit works. He knows it works so he'd be inclined to think that means hes not ace. Its an awkward convo he just wouldn't want to have and generally he's just very set in his ways and wouldn't really care to learn about asexuality or aromanticsm and how those things actually do apply to him. But yeah like I mentioned before, when you've accepted you're a freakish serial killing cannibal that may or may not be into both gore and pain thats as queer as you need to be according to Alastor. And maybe he's not entirely wrong ?? Hes fucking hilarious. As for Alastors personal relationships my posts mostly got deleted but in a nutshell : Mimzy and Alastor were a thing at one point in there human lives and this worked purely because they both had severe issues. They enabled each others darkness disturbingly well. Their relationship has always been very fond but it has almost always entailed enabling each other in the sense that Mimzy was a crude, loud mouthed manipulative get-about in a time when this wasn't considered normal for women, or rather, there was a huge push back against women for acting this way, and Alastor always had a proclivity for extreme violence and a deep dislike toward men who treated women as lessors.
Mimzy behaviors would get her into trouble and she would run to Alastor for protection, which she'd get. And not really because Alastor was being strung along by her as other men were, like he defiantly cared about her and wanted to protect her, but it was also largely because he enjoyed having an excuse to be violent and Mimzy brought him many great excuses. As I also mentioned before in my personal HC, Alastor's first murder happened because of protecting Mimzy which really unlocked pandoras box as far as Alastor becoming a serial killer went. This has carried on into their lives as demons. Alastor and Rosie have a less ""toxic"" and yet similar relationship in the sense that Alastor makes a great attack dog and he's fine to play that role as long as he has massive power and influence which is what he gets out of it. In a lot of ways Alastor works for her but they're also friends and in somewhat of a functioning QPR because Rosie is one of the only people who understands whats "wrong" with Alastor and knows how to work it for herself. Shes not one the ladies who'll find herself confused or abandoned, she's got Alastor on the hook rather than the other way around. She took Mimzy's craft and fine tuned it to maximum efficiency, though of course Rosie isn't the damsel. Shes the boss. In my headcanon Alastor deeply admires her because she is beauitful and deadly and highly powerful. He'd like her power for himself, though, in honesty, so theres a sense of duplicity there but he wouldn't actually want to harm her, if that makes sense. Rosie, however, is super lowkey as an overload, unlike Alastor. Alastor's more the grinning sadistic face of the operation while Rosie's the heart and head of it, if that makes sense. They really embody the saying behind every great man is a great woman and they're also an amusing counterpart of Alastor's own relationship with Niffty, with Alastor being in Niffty's place and Rosie in Alastors.
And Vox. Oh Vox. Theres so many unknowns about these two but at this point I hope its toxic yaoi but like sad little meow meow style. That is to say I wouldn't really like Vox and Alastor's relationship to be as clean cut as Vox hit on Alastor and Alastor rejected him and that was it.
To me they seem to have too much history and I know Viv said their relationship IS suppose to be sad and complicated so to me that suggests a lot more was going on. Obviously, as explained throughout this post, I personally portray Alastor with a lot of his own issues. I wouldn't depict this as Vox overstepping with Alastor and Alastor cutting him down outright. I kinda rip inpso from the Song "video killed the radio star", less in the sense that Vox hurt Alastor and Alastor's the victim and more in the sense they had a more mutual relationship going on which resulted in a more mutual harm and sense of mutual "betrayal". That is to say I don't think just one of them is the "bad guy". They're both the "bad guy", so to speak, but I have an inclining that maybe Alastor is more to blame for how things went then I've personally seen imagined in the fandom and that's especially true of my HCs and the way I depict him. I will say though, I do think Alastor cared about Vox, too. Maybe he still does in a weird, bitter, vengeful way. But idk if Alastor wanted what Vox wanted at the same intensity in the same ways, so to speak, and the only way I really know how to explain that is to say yes, Alastor is aspectrum and Vox isn't. I think Vox craved intimacy more than Alastor and Alastor craved power more than Vox. Alastor is less inclined to share and is more insecure about his situation while Vox on the other hand is polyamorous and is a free demon (no contact on his soul) so theres just a lot of awkward incompatibilities here that caused pain despite what I think was a genuine mutual closeness. Vox would also be one of the first men Alastor didn't kill and cannibalize despite the fact he would have had multiple chances to do so. But I digress, I hesitate to go into them though because yeah we have no idea what actually happened and more importantly, I dont wanna give any impression of demonizing one over the other because to me thats a very tired trope no matter what side it favors. Whether on the side of "weird sex havers crossing boundaries by being sex havers" or the side of "aroaces are cruel/callous/sociopathic/only care about themselves." Etc. I don't wanna validate either narrative even there are some elements that ring true on both sides.

Vesuvia Weekly: Apprentice and LI Dynamics
Decided to throw my hat in since I came up with so much material in my head about my apprentice, Venere, and then realized I never posted anything, poor girl has been sitting on the bench for so long like “Am I a joke to you?”
@iliveforyouilongforyouvesuvia Thank you for coming up with these prompts, I had fun doing this!
(I also mixed a bit of poetry in these hcs because I love it so much. Unfortunately, I suck at it, so don't mind too much of what I call my wordy farts)
VENERE x JULIAN – In a nutshell? The overly flirty, bisexual disaster that we all know meets a very practical and unimpressed girl (also, tall lanky man x small menace). What could go wrong?
A whirlwind. She’s swept away by it. Masks and play, it’s easier that way. A feverish dance, a push and pull, like sea waves. Backtracking, pacing, restlessness. The mind never stops and thinks and thinks and thinks. Where do you see value? You should leave but you are under my skin. Chasing shadows, facing gallows He can only be a martyr, the guilt takes its toll as the bell tolls The rope is made of faults and the executioner is called love. Now there are more hurts, and another love turns into flaming anger. How can she make him see? Gentleness, understanding, calm. We are in this together. Always.
Julian enters her life like a hurricane and turns it upside down. She is swept off her feet by his energy, but she is also sharp enough to see through him.
They have a rocky start. Julian is kind of intimidated, kind of intrigued, obviously his answer is to double down on the flirting.
Venere is… You guessed it: unimpressed. Don’t be fooled though, she is actually quite charmed, she likes Julian, but she needs her time to feel comfortable around new people. In the meantime, she has one of the biggest resting bitch faces ever.
Most of their early interactions involve Julian aggressively flirting and Venere blushing internally while exteriorly maintaining a deadpan expression.
Julian inevitably starts to question everything; does she find him so ugly? Does she find him annoying? Should he hide in the hole and never come up again? The poor man doesn’t know what to do.
Once they clear the air and Venere feels more comfortable, is when her true character starts to shine. She is passionate and has a fiery temper, which is good most of the time, but also means she tends to react with anger to upsetting situations. Julian is much better and practiced at controlling his anger and is a good counterweight to Venere.
This is also when the table turns and Venere starts shamelessly flirting with Julian. The poor doctor is a blushing mess.
She is ready to give him an earful whenever he is acting foolish, and she is not afraid of calling him out on his bullshit, but she also learns to be very patient with him. She is determined to make him understand that he is loved, and she is always there to remind him of what an incredible, beautiful man he is.
He teases her about her magic jargon, calling it her whimsical gibberish, she teases him for his medical fancy terms and most of all his unreadable writing.
When it comes to their respective work fields, they had to learn to communicate effectively; Julian is more comfortable with tangible and concrete things, while Venere tends to think in more abstract ways. Over time they learned to come together and communicate clearly.
They are actually a very good team. Venere is trying to implement Julian’s extensive knowledge of medicine with her magic, making medicines more effective and trying to come up with spells that can accelerate the healing process.
She is much more introverted than him, so she is always happy to let him handle social situations and let her full glorious resting bitch face shine while he charms his way out.
Their differences in social battery also mean that Venere needs her moments of solitude to recharge. The first few times it happened Julian panicked; was it something he said? After a much-needed conversation, he understands. Now, when she needs time alone, he goes to the Rowdy Raven or stops by to see Portia and Mazelinka.
Venere loves singing and dancing and Julian often accompanies her with his vielle. There's always music in their home.
After a period of travel, they settle down in Vesuvia and adopt a dog. Venere takes over her magic shop and Julian opens his clinic.
Their favourite moment is in the evening when, after a day of work, it’s finally time for a long, relaxing cuddle session. Julian wraps his arms around Venere and gives her one of his all-encompassing hugs and they snuggle on the sofa. They always say they’ll go to bed early but end up falling asleep like this.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER CHARACTERS:
ASRA
Complicated. Abandonment. Hurt. Mistakes. Easier to run, easier to avoid. She doesn’t understand. He doesn’t know how to explain. The past is a heavy burden of memories forgotten and others that would have been best to let rest. Only a half of what once was whole, but what has been broken cannot be repaired, you learn to live with what remains. You learn to live again.
Her relationship with Asra is very complicated.
There were a lot of hurt and misunderstandings. He kept disappearing without explanation and she never understood.
But the truth runs way, way deeper.
After everything is out in the open, they have many conversations.
After clearing up everything they share one of those incredibly rare and deep friendships.
They are family. They will always be there for each other and always root for each other happiness.
NADIA
Loneliness. The princess is trapped at the top of the tower, but the dragon is in her head, the dragon is everywhere around her. Judging eyes, power struggles, impossible expectations, who can you trust? Elegance, perfectionism, strength, intuition. She is many things, but most of all she is Nadia. Most of all, she needs someone to see it.
Nadia is… Well, she is Nadia! She is awesome!
Venere’s first impression was of someone very lonely. Although a bit intimidated, she took a liking to her very quickly.
In time, they cultivate a very profound friendship.
They chat about magic, and Venere always knows who to ask for fashion tips.
Most of all she knows who to turn to when she needs sound advice.
She has deep admiration for Nadia, she doesn’t know how someone can always look so perfect and in control and make appear so easy everything she does. But she is also there to remind Nadia that it’s okay to slip occasionally, and letting go sometimes feels good!
MURIEL
Gentle, coy, reserved. Violent scars on a delicate soul. Does a tree make noise when it falls in the forest? It’s easier to forget but if everyone forgets, were you even ever there? Long silences can become deafening in loneliness. And yet, when you start to listen you realize there is so much more life around you. Small details you usually don’t catch. It’s always in the details.
Muriel and Venere have one of those friendships that don’t require many words. They are content to spend time together, enjoying each other company in a relaxed silence.
When Venere needs some reprieve, she knows she can accompany Muriel on his walks around the forest and she loves being immersed in nature.
Venere adores Inanna, she gives the best belly rubs to the best of girls.
They spend time enjoying the quiet of Muriel’s hut and he allows her to feed the chickens! One of Venere’s favourite activities.
If someone bothers Muriel, despite Venere being much, much smaller than him, she is the one to fly into a rage and put the offender in their place. Has anyone never told them not to provoke a magician?
Venere often comes to visit him and brings him lots of baked goods to taste. She is still learning to cook decently, so not everything comes out exactly as intended. He still eats everything without batting an eye, probably to be polite.
PORTIA
Bubbly energy. Movement, flow, a tidal wave. Hunger for adventure, but she is always left behind. There is worth in the work you do but sometimes the work becomes all you are worth. There is more under the surface, you are allowed to slow down. You always have value.
Portia is Venere’s adopted little sister. She loves her energy and positivity and is always happy to pass the ball when Julian needs a good kick in the shin.
They have a book club now. They take it very seriously and religiously make time each week to sit down together to discuss stories and characters.
To the delight of Julian, Venere teaches her magic. He has a small panic attack when she accidentally sets a tree on fire. Luckily, Portia is an eager student and recovers very quickly without further fiery incidents.
In return, Portia tries to teach Venere to bake, with varying degrees of success. She is trying, okay? Luckily, most of her culinary experiments are still appreciated by Julian, Asra and Muriel.
When Portia feels like going on an adventure, she always knows who to call for.
LUCIO
Cold metal spikes all around. Hurt others before they can hurt him. Mistakes, regrets, there’s much to learn. Pride is always the mask shame wears, covering itself with sparkly meaningless.
Let’s say that she doesn’t take well of Lucio hurting her loved ones. When she discovers what he did to Julian she is furious.
In an alternative universe, she would be more than happy to be his friend. She believes in second chances and respects his willingness to be better.
Lucio ends up relying a lot on her when he makes an “Opsie” and needs someone to help him fix it.
With time, he gets better at handling his mistakes and learns how powerful accountability can be.
She isn’t one for big parties, but the rare times she needs some tips on the subject she can always count on Lucio.
When she needs to let out some steam, she knows he is the guy to go to. He has always a good monster on the list ready to chase, or some other adventure to go, Portia can come too!

I’ve wanted to say this for a long time, so here goes.
A little about myself.
Although I keep to the gay male side of life, I am not a gay man. What I am is complicated for most people to understand so I’ll often allow people to think I am gay, or bisexual even.
My sexual orientation is complicated. LOL Just like every other aspect of my life really! 😝😂
Yes, I am sexually attracted to both men and women. YET, I am actually Asexual. In a nutshell, I have always had zero interest in the sexual act. When I was younger I thought that something was wrong with me, or maybe I just hadn’t found “the right one” so to speak.
So that’s me. Love me or not.

My apolocheese for never posting content on here I’m usually more active on twt, but I wanna change that so here’s a master post of a bunch of Bi Han x Rain content I’ve been making for the past couple of months + a small summary of how I see their relationship / dynamic
In a nutshell, it’s Bi Han having these conflicting Bisexual Thoughts about the mage he and Quan Chi allied with, assuming that he admires him simply for his power and how it could benefit lin Kuei but over time he realizes he feels a lot more, but that’s not until after he actually begins to realize the damage he’s done to others
As for Rain, he has a thing for pretty men so he definitely saw some interest in Bi Han at first. But after the flooding he wanted nothing more to do with those people, until he was forced to deal with them again in hopes of getting his name cleared once and for all, and over time fell in love with Bi Han
In a more serious and personal manner I see it as, like, Bi Han hides his inner feelings through anger and a rebellious attitude, when those inner feelings are truly confusion
He’s confused by why Rain wants him so badly, why he loves him for more than his body and how he looks, because he’s only ever been loved conditionally. He hadn’t felt unconditional love in any way ever since his mother was around, even Sektor begin to lose her spark with Bi Han. Bi Han literally can not process the fact that someone would rather be in Netherrealm’s pits of fire than not be by his side, but he pretends like he does to hide his fragile insecurity
Rain has literally flooded a whole city, killed so many people, he’s seen it all, anything Bi Han has done could not be as worse as what Rain did. If anyone deserves to live it’s Bi Han, because at the end of the day Bi Han still had something to live for, which was his clan. Rain didn’t have much else other than his magic, he pushed away everything else in his life because he was so blind by a hunger for power it turned him into a monster. He would never imagine Bi Han loved him for his good traits. He believed he loved him because of the awful things he has done, but he learns that Bi Han loves him because he was the only remaining person willing to give him a second chance, because Rain had a heart full of guilt and insecurities that have never been healed, and he wanted to turn them into something better. Rain soon grows to love Bi Han when he sees through the icy walls of his heart, and dig deep into what no one else had found in there - a fear of dying alone, something the both of them share.

WELL! I have just concluded the game that i bought on impulse bc i was hyperfixating on some of the characters (guess who!). I have A LOT of thoughts, but i'll start with some nutshell character thoughts and pairing shenanigains. Spoilers below!
That 4th tier deserves a bit of elaboration
Juro: He is, at his core, a blank sheet of paper. A mild sandwich with no seasoning. And I like how this game handled that fact bc he was someone more prior to this, but he's given a new personality so he can rest from being so self-sacrificing (if he's anything like the juro izumi from 2 loops ago). He's in the "they're there" tier for a special reason, bc he's kind of meant to be just There.
Renya: Despite being there just to help the audience answer some questions regarding the fucked up narrative of the story, I think what gives him a leg up from the "They're there" tier is his lowkey hilarious relationship with Ryoko. He is perplexed and lowkey salty about how short their relationship lasted no matter how hard he tries. He tries to not gaf as much as Ryoko does but he still does. Ei calls him out on this. Its so so funny.
Megumi: HER NARRATIVE ON GRIEF WAS VERY WELL DONE and if it werent for the spaghetti bullshit of an ending the epilogue was, I would be soooo so intrested how she'd handle moving on from Izumi. I find the concept of Juro/Megumi much more bearable with Juro now having one sided feelings for Megumi while Megumi considers giving him a chance or not. That wouldve been a great closing to their relationship instead of. just getting toghether with no qualms! yeah juro i totally wasnt mouring a dead version of you in that simulation. lets kiss.
Miyuki: I KNEW YOU COULD SAVE THOSE KIDS WITHOUT INFLICTING SEVERE TRAUMA. Sadly aside from "saviour from above" themeing with her, theres nothing much outside of that. While im greatful she was there, she is just there in the end. But her efforts give her a leg up from that tier.
Chihiro: The concept of a very peeved elderly woman stuck in a pre-schoolers body is a funny one and im just extremely glad that 13SAR is not big enough that sobposters arent using her at large to fufill their degen fantasies. Aside from that shtick though, nothing else. Thats literally a baby
Moving onto the canon main pairings!:
I saw someone calling HijiOki queer-bait and i can kindaaaa see why when basing it off the epilogue. Yeah they havent seem to progress much past 5 years and are at best still at talking stage while some of the others are literally married with kids (oh i'll get to that.) But I like to see it as the only pairing with realistic progression past. everything thats happened. Aside that they're just very funny!! Love their dynamic, will be rooting for them no matter how long it takes.
I did not expect myself to like SekiFuyu this much!! I do agree that Iori ESPECIALLY deserves more story outside hanging with gals and crushing over Sekigahara (not to say i didnt like it!!), but im very glad that the story subverted my expectations! I want them to be happy first and foremost, but i feel like the added angst from Iori realisng that she was a clone of THE Chihiro Morimura wouldve made this ship just a little bit more peak. Aside that, I support Iori shoujoisms and Sekigahara finding love and happiness.
I think my rating on Nentomi will change the more I ruminate on it. MeguJuro would be bumped up above RenRyo IF they didnt immediately fall in love after those 5 years and have Megumi still "thinking about it" while Juro goes "pleaaase :(" bc i think Megumi deserves to tease him a lil and think more about What the hell happened. ShuuYuki is the worst case of comphet between a lesbian and a looser bisexual ive seen.
Now.... the elephant in the room.
Ive talked to moots about how much i abhored the ending at first. Aside from the Darling in the Franxx-esque cop out, you expect me to believe that some of them just. got toghether after everything?? without any processing of What The Hell just happened?? nothing at all?? god
Im not the one to usually complain about comphet bc yeah its something i hate, but it usually doesnt sour my experience of consuming media so much. But god this is where its one of the main reasons why an ending is ruined for me. I hate hate HATED some of the epilogue scenes, esp with Nentomi and Shuuyuki bc of the straight people "my wife sucks but i love her" humour it radiates. ugh.
I would've loved a much more... bleak? more bittersweet?? outlook on the situation? after realisng everything is not real and you are basically the 15 adam and eves left to recreate human civilzation... that would be a pretty fucking huge thing to grapple with. I just wished that they had more complexity with this ending. Or! just stick with the fact that they're forever trapped in space colonies left to deal with the horrors of their situations and the mistakes of those in the past. Sorry for bring a tragic yuri enjoyer, but the overbearing dread and loom from the simulation story was what really made me intrested in 13SAR. To see it just solve itself with little drawback was so lame.
I read the George Kamitani aimed for 13SAR to have a mecha and shoujo hybrid story. While that's honestly an awesome concept, im sad it means that he can miss out on more complexity when intepretting the narrative when it comes to certain relationships (shoujos can be complex too!) I also heard that the game was meant to be at least 3 times longer that it is curently which is. wow. Its a shame that so much content got cut out 😭 bc i feel like a bit more time with these characters is all i need to make my verdict more positive.
As a bonus, i'll include a crackship tierlist too! Alot has changed
I miiight need another few days or even weeks to compile another thoughts post bc theres definitely more things i wanna talk about (the narrative structure, Tamao, 2188 theories, themes of japanese imperialism-). But so far, im gonna let it ruminate for a bit before picking it back up to analyse
#i will give 13SAR this. nevet has a game made me think this hard about lore so far#it was engaging at least. i have to respect that#13 sentinels: aegis rim#13 sentinels#13 sentinels spoilers#corr.txt

Another Song Analysis!
Little Illusion Machine – Analysis
Disclaimer – as always this is my assumption. I’m not saying it’s fact! But I am working with the assumption that Alex and Miles’ sexual relationship began around the recording of The Age of the Understatement in 2008 and continued on and off from then on.
Little Illusion Machine was a B side to Hellcat Spangled Shalala by Miles Kane and the Death Ramps released in August 2011
Verse 1 (sung by Miles)
Swinging room to room
Planting something new
I’ve ridden the riddle, I’ll do it again
Back to the Wirral where it all began
Wirral ridder
Okay I am assuming this part of the song is from Miles’ point of view seeing as he is from Birkenhead which is on the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside. So given that I think this song is about coming to terms with being gay/bi we can assume his first sexual experiences would have been in his hometown. Swinging from room to room, could be referring to going from men to women.
[Chorus: Miles Kane]
Send a letter to me, baby
I'm on the edge of my seat
Send a letter to me, baby
Little illusion machine
I think this is self-explanatory. By this time, Alex was in his SIAS era cute boy next door, perfect boyfriend image. Which given that I am working under the assumption that Alex is bisexual, this is of course an illusion and Miles is desperate to see him.
Verse 2:
(Miles)
Riding through the gloom
Something beautiful
(Alex)
He’s ridden the riddle, he’ll do it again,
He’s going back to the Wirral where it all began
Wirral Riddler
I think this refers to Alex having sex with Miles. Interestingly Alex sings the line ‘he’s ridden the riddle, he’ll do it again’. Like he is talking about himself and the riddle is Miles. The line ‘riding through the gloom, something beautiful’ could have many meanings. Just that the experience is beautiful, or for the fact that when they perform it live, Miles points to Alex – it’s kind of obvious!
(Miles)
I tried it and I liked it
But it just never gets close enough
Send a letter to me, baby
I tried it and I liked it, but it never gets close enough, I think is sung from Miles’ point of view and is talking about heterosexual sex, especially when the next line is him asking Alex to contact him.
So, a short and simple one. In a nutshell, Miles prefers gay sex which he first experienced when he was younger. Alex has been on the Kane Train and likes it and they’re both looking forward to their next hook up.

(putting it here because we really need stop highjacking gifs sets)
Okay first of all Legends of Tomorrow:
This show is amazing, you have to watch it.
It's a superheroes who time travel but it is very wacky and queer. The first season is my last favorite because it is more cliché and boring and less gay, so don't judge the show on this. It gets crazier after that.
There is a bisexual woman who hooks up with lots of people through history and especially historical figures.
They beat the villains with the power of friendship, love and violence or gets them to join the team.
In a nutshell, it's amazing, one of my favorite shows of all times. If you want to see a bit more of that craziness and don't really care about spoilers, watch legends without context videos.
About Warrior Nun :
You're right, I forgot it was Bea driving when she picked up Mary. For some reason I mixed them up and thought it was Mary.
That means that we didn't see Mary drive expect for her motorcycle. She can probably drive cars too but we love cliches and since she's a lesbian who can cook... Well she probably can drive well but it's fun to pretend that she can't.
Legends -
I know that legends has a lot of overlap with the rest of the arrowverse. But I only really know Supergirl S2-forwards.
Does it suffer from the same writing degrade that Supergirl did in it's later seasons when they forgot that their characters were good people and just forgot Nia existed at all?
Warrior Nun -
I like to think that she's the 'good driver' with her and Shannon, but she can only drive her bike. Shannon Should just be a maniac on the road.
That's why they taught Bea, and maybe Lilith. That way they can actually get home on a timely basis.
