Paper: Canon Montval A5 size cold pressed watercolor paper
Pre acidify:
12 drops of 10% citric acid solution in dist water on A5 size paper.
Brushed and air dried for 20 mins.
Coating:
12 (6+6) drops of sensitizer on A5 size paper brushed
3 minutes air dried in dark
Hair dryer blowed for 1.5 to 2 minutes for complete drying
Exposure:
22 mins under 30W light
Development:
3 times with 50ml of 1% citric acid solution in RO water of 2 mins each with constant agitation.
Post development:
Pat dry withing 2 layers of soft towel and then hair dryer till the print is dry. (No hanging to dry as it drains out all the colors. No use of Peroxide after development)

I like the look and the feel of this method a lot.#In case anyone out there was wondering what the original doodle the Cowboy Wizard Jousting comic was - it was this!#I had indended it to stay a sketchbook doodle but I kept thinking about it - and figured 'why not also use it to do an art experiment?'#The funny thing about using existing characters for this is that this isn't even that far off from what they actually are.#The original pitch for the setting of FFS was 'Cowboy Exorcists'. Which sort of just makes them Cowboy Wizards in a way.#Design wise all I really did here was give them sillier hats.#Fitch isn't boy enough for the boy to be more than a carry over from 'cowboy'#But our Nameless Nobody? Yeah. They earned that Coward Badge good and true.#I have a few more doodles from this (AU? I guess?) That I may post if I'm low energy this week.#I missed drawing these little fellas. I should budget my art time to draw them more often...

trying new coloring methods. 0/10 do NOT recommend, but hey at least i got something kinda okay out of it
#this was based on a sketch i posted a few days ago cuz i didnt have any ideas for compositions#-and i wanted to try a new rendering method i saw on youtube#the method btw is to start in greyscale so you can get the values right before using the curves tool to adjust colors#i ended up hating it though because my colors always wound up feeling basic#i think it works better in lighting situations where the light’s color is neutral#i used a bunch of gradient maps and overlay layers to try and fix it bc it was looking VERY muddy and weird#and i think i did successfully save it after a lot of frustration#but i will likely not be trying this method again cause i like using funky lighting and colors#art#fanart#digital art#dc comics#tim drake fanart#tim drake robin#tim drake#red robin fanart#robin fanart#dc robin#robin#red robin
