Another day, another journal entry

Nothing much to add about yesterday, I fell asleep soon and fast, only woke up to clean my bed and shut the light and pass out. As I wake up, I'm happy to be greeted by nothing and no one and no deadlines. Though I, as always, have tasks to do today and things to obviously get done. I needed to get to those as soon as I could. First things first however, as soon as I woke up and sent out my (early) morning texts, I get a phone call from a friend, and usually I don't mind, but I did just wake up and you are just video calling, but I'm happy to talk, I took a massive dump during the conversation and I feel refreshed, vitalised and I wash, I don't wipe.

I light up a joint left over from last night. I need music, I need conversation in the background, I play Youtube to keep my thoughts and give my writng some companionship.

I have somehow mustered the strength of going for a shower and as I type this, have still much cleaning to do, but half a joint left to smoke to motivate me. It is a sunny day however and I lobe and enjoy days like these for sure.

I truly believe I have lost the ability to physically write down things on paper, and as much as I say so, I still sometimes will pick up a pen and paper to write but Im much more consciousof what I put on paper. If used well, I can really use my typing skills to mybenefit.

Especially and after and becasuse of work too. I still must go ahead, nourish my skin, drinking 3 glasses of water as I speak, proceeding to apply mango and passionfruit lotion and scent to go with it, i shall proceed to dress myselff, brush my teeth, comb my hair out, eat almonds and fix myself some soymilk and oats, along with oat milk and cereal and some good oat and honey bread to go with it, Too much oat, dont you think?

I have myself had two bowls of cereal with chia seeds and two chocolate au pain, or chocolate embedded bread. I'm thinking of more eggs and bread, eventually. I continue watching Youtube videos. I haven't even begun my tasks for the day. I want to roll another joint. And just like that, it is afternoon at high noon, 1pm on 1st April, 2023.

As I write this, it is now close to 8PM, how the time hsa passed even I have no clue. I have smoked too many joints to keep track of, I have eaten a bunch of things incluidng a pizza and two cheese sandwiches. I took a shit twice today which is also a good sign since Im definitely bulking. I plan to make ice in coconut milk tonight and eat it with yoghurt. Tomorrow I intend to cook some pasta and clean out my fridge. I even went online and ordered myself a few things I needed. I wish to save some money now since I have none left but it seems that savings shallhave to wait. I have a few essentials i need to buy first. I watched a movie, a new hindi romantic flick and it was horrible no story no plot, new actors and terrible acting and backdrop. Even te characters appearance did not strike me as too appealing. im now watching Taxi Driver made by Martin Scorscese in 1976. I might make myself a cup of coffee and go downstairs to pick up my newly arrived Stylus pen for my new tablet that shall arrive tomorrow. More on this later.

Unforeseen Chasm (Part 27)

Prompt: Two sisters fall for men that are absolute enemies. The love they have could tear all of them apart, or it could bring them together.

Note: This is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written (including my novels). It’s a collaboration with the amazing @mrs-dragneel-stark-solo​. It started as a funny “What if…?” and it evolved and got huge. This took two years to write. We are both proud and happy and we hope you enjoy it. It follows from Thor 1 to Endgame in the MCU. Some of the timelines may be off in order to fit certain people, and some characters may show up earlier or in different ways than they have in the movie. But for the most part, it follows the MCU. It also has a bit of crossover with some other Marvel characters throughout the story.

Fury arrived at the Tower just a few days later, giving Shannon an opportunity to discuss allowing you out for a day. 

“Ms. Shannon, Director Fury has entered the building and is headed up to Mr. Stark’s office,” the Al alerted her of the current situation.  

“Thank you, JARVIS, redirect him to my lab, would you please? I have some things to discuss with him,” she asked the Al while continuing her notes from the study she was working on with Bruce. “If you could please have Charles’ number ready for after my meeting to proceed with my visit to the mansion as well that would be great,” she added. 

“Of course, Ms. Shannon,” came from the nearby wall tablet. 

Fury was actually here to see Tony about something for the Avengers and things of the such, the last thing on his mind was the prisoner down in the lowest level. Getting into the elevator he proceeded to head to the top floor where Stark had his office.

“Mr. Fury, I’ve been asked to redirect you to Ms.Shannon’s lab she would like to discuss some things with you,” The Al system told him as he was reaching her floor. 

“Alright. Let her know I’m on my way there now,” he replied, not sure why exactly she wanted to speak to him, everything discussed came directly from Stark.

Upon arriving to her floor he got out of the elevator and followed where Bach’s concerto no.1 in C major, Op.7 was playing. He had to give her credit for the type of music she played. Getting to the lab he could see that she was hard at work on one of her extensive studies. He knocked on the door so as not to startle her.

She looked up from her paperwork and saw that Fury was at the doorway. “Come in, come in Director Fury,” she told him waving him to one of the other tables. “I’m glad to see you here. Was the flight here okay?” she asked trying to keep things casual. 

“Thank you, yes. I will have to ask Stark what airline he uses for his trips,” he said looking rather calm.  “I was told you wanted to speak to me?” he asked, looking around the room. 

“I could give you the number for the private jet company we use on your way up to see Tony after.” She told him while going to take a seat. “Yes, actually I was hoping to discuss about one of the two prisoners we have down in the lowest level.” She winced while saying ‘prisoners’ because she didn’t really feel like that’s what you were.

“Have there been any issues with them?” he asked, sounding concerned. “We could have them relocated, if that's what it is.”

“No! No, actually they’ve been rather compliant,” she said looking to one side of the room. “What I wanted to ask was if you would consider releasing Y/N from the cell a few times…?” she asked, sounding nervous.

“Now why the hell would I do that?! They are considered Terrorists to the U.S,” he said loudly. “Have you gone mad? The moment you let one of them out they’ll wreak havoc on the city,” he stated as if he knew her. 

“That is where you're wrong, Director Fury. I know what they did was unforgivable, but the reason I ask this is because I would like to take her with me to see Professor Xavier about getting her powers under control so that they are no longer considered a threat to the lives of civilians.” She started explaining everything that had happened and how the powers you have aren't something you can fully grasp and keep on a leash. She also went on to explain how her mutation had taken a different route and would like Charles to take a look and see if there’s anyway that it can be handled and seen that it will not take any negative effects on her anymore. 

After a long debate about whether or not it would be safe and logical to have you leave the cell twice a week, Fury relented and said he would allow it so as long as they made sure that no one can see you leave the building and headed to the mansion. 

“Listen the only way I can say yes is if you have Captain Rogers be an escort to the prisoner all the way to the mansion and if you find a way to get her out of the tower undetected,” he stated. He also added, “Is Stark aware of any of this? What has he said?” He felt as if though Tony would never agree to such a thing.

“Tony is completely unaware of the situation. If he were, there would be no way I would have been able to speak to you at this moment,” she explained the situation to him. “And on getting her out undetected from the tower I’ll have a fellow mutant friend come and take her to the car we will take to the mansion. As well as have Steve come with us,” she finished hoping that it would be enough to please him and to give her the green light on this, she hoped to help you, to regain your life and not let those powers of your get the better of you. 

“If it goes as I state then you may take her only on the conditions established at this time and nothing more,” he stated, making his word final and began to get up. “Now if you’ll excuse me I have to speak to Stark about the new plans for the Avengers, I’ll have the information relayed to you.” 

“Thank you, Nick. I truly mean this, you won’t regret it!” she said sounding really excited to tell you and hoping to get to the mansion as soon as possible. 

“I sure hope the hell I don’t!” With that said, he left, making his way to Tony and remembered to keep this quiet. No need to worry the man anymore than he already was. 

“Ms. Shannon, would you like me to call the professor now?” The Al system asked having been waiting for her to finish with Fury. 

“Ahh yes please, JARVIS, and send a message to Nightcrawler about meeting with me today, please. I need to speak to him as well,” she replied being immediately connected to the mansion’s system. 

“Right away, Ms. Shannon,” he responded and went to do as requested. 

“Hello, Shannon, it’s so good to hear from you again,” Charles said while going around the mansion keeping an eye on the students. “I was hoping to hear from you,” he added 

“Hi, Professor, it good to hear your voice too, it's been very busy here in New York,” she said sounding a bit tired. “I was hoping to see you about my mutations it seems there’s a problem and I don’t know how much more I can take of this…” she said.

“My dear child, you’re always welcome to come and see me, when would you like to come? I can have the training room set up and the equipment for the testing there as soon as possible,” he said sounding very calm and reassuring.

“Thank you. I was planning on going there in two days actually, there's also another thing, Charles…” She got quiet for a moment 

“What is it, my dear? What's the matter?” he asked a bit worried something might have happened. 

“My friend could use your help too. It seems that she’s acquired some powers that have gotten out of control and we were hoping you could find the cause of it and how to help her take control?” she asked him hoping he had positive news for her. 

“Well that sounds unfortunate but of course she’s welcome to come. Will you two plan on staying at the mansion?” he asked so as to have the room she used to use prepared for their arrival. 

“Actually no, seeing as she’s not exactly allowed to be left free we will be traveling to the mansion a few times.” She was adamant about not telling him the events of New York were your doing. She didn't want him to see you in a negative light. “It’s best if I explain in person,” was all she said. 

“If that's how you would like it then I shall have everything ready for when you come, see you soon my dear,” he said before ending the call. 

Now that those two things are out of the way the only thing left was to get ahold of Nightcrawler and see if he can help her get you out of the tower without Tony being aware of it. She had JARVIS send the text out to him in hopes to get a quick response. 

“Ms. Shannon, Mr. Nightcrawler has agreed to help you with getting Y/N out of the tower” the Al read the response text that was sent. “I would advise against it however, Ms. Y/N is under no circumstances to leave the tower without Mr. Stark being aware of it,” The Al had said as a matter of factly. 

“JARVIS if you so much as say a peep of any of this to Tony I’ll personally make sure that your Al system be changed with FRIDAY’s chip, Im aware that Tony wouldn’t like this but this is my responsibility and I'm choosing not to let him be apart of my choice.” She said in a serious tone. 

“Of...of course, Ms. Shannon I promise not to say a thing to him.” He seemed to sound nervous; as if an Al could get nervous. 

“Thank you JARVIS! You're the best,” she told the system in a cheery voice.

 Episode 7: “Evolution”

“Aliens once again threaten the Earth, but with the Justice League split and scattered, only Earth’s first and greatest hero can save us!”

Any guesses? Alan Scott, maybe? “First” would indicate a member of the Justice Society.

 “You’ve come of age, Cassandra. As the daughter of Vandal Savage, these are the things you should know.”

I only know of two Cassandras in the DC Universe and the one onscreen isn’t Wonder Girl.

The other Cassandra is Cassandra Cain. She is the daughter of Lady Shiva and David Cain. Cassandra begins as a mostly mute character and continues to have language difficulties.

Vandal Savage has one daughter (that we know of) in the DC Universe. Her name is Scandal. She was a member of the Secret Six and had a romantic relationship with Knockout. She would eventually marry Knockout and another woman whose name I can’t recall.

Is Cassandra supposed to be Scandal? Is she a Cassandra Cain/Scandal combination? It’s an odd choice to give Scandal the civilian name of Cassandra if the writers are going to introduce Cassandra Cain later in the series – as far as I can recall, Scandal was never given a civilian name in the comics – the writers could have given her any name – why Cassandra?

Vandal’s minion is named Olympia – why the focus on Greek names? Vandal predates the Greek civilization by thousands of years.

It turns out Vandal is earth’s “first and greatest” hero. Only in his own mind.

September 8th: An alien armada heads toward earth.

Conner, Artemis, Brion, Forager, and Violet are chilling on the beach at Happy Harbor.

The group listens to sport news on a tablet. The show writers use the opportunity to mention some DC characters:

“Hank Heywood of Detroit” aka Steel – best known for his membership in the Detroit era of the Justice League

“Victor Stone” – Cyborg. I’m sure every viewer caught this reference.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love the writers’ love and knowledge of the DC Universe.

Dick arrives with outfits for Halo and Brion. Violet is adorable in her appreciation. Brion isn’t appreciative of the “form-fitting” aspect of his uniform.

Conner admits he’s not fond of form-fitting uniforms either.

Dick mentions Fire designed Brion’s uniform so it wouldn’t be destroyed by his lava form. Fire is most famous as a member of the Justice League International and Ice’s best friend. She was a member of the Global Guardians and Checkmate.

Brion thanks Dick for the uniform as “naked was not my style”.

Forager doesn’t have a problem with nudity: “What is wrong with naked? Forager is naked now.”

The newbie trio continues to be adorable.

Forager puts on his helmet so “Forager is no longer naked”. Way to miss the point, buddy.

Cassandra reads more of Vandal’s history. Vandal’s origin is consistent with the comics: a meteor’s radiation/energy grants him immortality.

Vandal warns Lex of the incoming armada.

Olympia is quite the Vandal fangirl.

Vandal and Lex realize the Justice League and Green Lantern Corps are otherwise occupied due to their machinations. Klarion is involved in Project: Rudapaega? Vandal will have to deal with the armada himself.

Dick trains the newbies. Forager gains the upper-hand against Dick because he “fights dirty” – using towel snaps and sand to the eyes.

Artemis trains with Halo and Brion works with Conner.

Vandal, Cassandra, and Scandal head into space with the War World.

The War World and the armada engage in battle.

We flashback to Vandal’s origin. The unidentified man who stabs Vandal would later become the Immortal Man.

Brion and his siblings were quite the fans of DC’s trinity as children. Brion was a Superman fan, Gregor supported Batman, and Tara was a Wonder Woman supporter.

Vandal contacts Darkseid for resources to fight the armada. Darkseid grants this request.

We discover Darkseid arrived on earth in the 13th century. Vandal, posing as “Genghis Khan”, battles Darkseid’s forces. Darkseid wins but forms an alliance with Vandal Savage.

Jace and Jeff go on a date.

Dick tells the newbies to choose their code names.

Brion wants to be called “Hot Lava”! It’s rejected as it’s too much of a stripper name. Dick goofs on the Tigress code-name and gets punched for his troubles.

Artemis reminds Dick that she didn’t take her name “from an 80’s mullet rock band.”

Dick denies the claim “Not true.”

I love the writers’ reference to Dick’s infamous late 80’s/early 90’s mullet!

Forager is…Forager.

Dick begins training on team maneuvers.

Darkseid sends Kalibak to assist in the space battle.

Olympia: “Kalibak has daddy issues.”

Olympia – the master of understatement.

Vandal spots a Starro fish attached to one of the dead aliens.

We flashback to Vandal’s time as Marduk. He, along with Doctor Fate, battled Starro in ancient Babylonia.

“Marduk’s son, Nabu, fell to the carnage.” This is new to cannon but an interesting choice. Will modern-day Nabu even recognize Vandal Savage.

Ishtar was Vandal’s daughter.

Present-day Vandal battles the main Starro while Cassandra directs War World.

Jeff and Jace spend the night in a hotel room.

We flashback to the Babylonia battle – its revealed that the Vandal and Ishtar emerged triumphant and became known as “the Light”.

Dick gives the newbies props for today’s training. Conner adds his kudos and Artemis teases him over sounding like “Big Blue”.

Artemis offers s’mores as a reward. Halo is so excited a new ability emerges: the green aura causes holograms.

Dick: “We’re starting over.”

Starro is imprisoned in War World alongside Mongul and Despero.

Throughout the episode, the writers have shown Olympia was suffering from memory loss due to dementia.

The episode ends with Vandal calmly approaching Olympia, asking why she recorded his exploits when he had told her not to. He asks Olympia to name her favorite story. As Olympia names the “bear story”, Vandal snaps her neck.

Vandal orders Scandal to take care of her sister: “Any daughter of Vandal Savage deserves a funeral worthy of the gods”.

The end credit scene is Wolf sleeping on the couch.

My second favorite episode of the season. An intriguing look into Vandal’s history. Consistent with comic book cannon but with new additions for the Young Justice universe.

Odd choice to use “Cassandra” as Scandal’s name. As I said earlier, Scandal’s birth name is unknown in the comics – why use “Cassandra” when Cassandra Cain will presumably debut at some point in the Young Justice universe?

Viewers are smart enough to differentiate between the three Cassandras but why use the same name for a third character when you have other options unless the creators are merging Scandal/Cassandra Cain into one character? The offspring of Lady Shiva and Vandal Savage would be a terrifying force but this Cassandra has no language difficulties. Cassandra’s struggle with verbal language is one of her defining characteristics – I wouldn’t be happy if it’s randomly removed.

As for Vandal’s other offspring…assuming Nabu is one of the two sons Darkseid was intrigued by…what happened to the other son? Is he still alive? Did he travel to Apocalypse as part of Darkseid’s pact with Vandal Savage? Darkseid is fond of stealing other men’s sons – ask Scott Free!

Was Nabu the first Doctor Fate? Was his soul captured in the helmet of Fate at the moment of his death? Have Nabu and Vandal encountered each other since Nabu’s transformation into a Lord of Order?

Is Ishtar still alive?

The non-Vandal parts of the episode were simply adorable. Brion, Violet, and Forager are too precious for this world.

Documentary tracked down from a new universe, tonight. They spent less time analyzing the state of the war and what they glimpsed of the major players than they did critiquing how the humans interacted with the Decepticons.

After the movie, Prowl and Soundwave totally banged.

It quickly drowns under a wave of fresh excitement when he feels the fingers moving over his sides. Prowl knows by now where Soundwave's own panel is - and if he's forgotten, the pulsing of the lights will be glad to remind him.

Are they getting ahead of themselves? He has no idea. He isn't inclined to care. The way Prowl's going, Soundwave doubts this is going to be a short one-and-done session. There's time for more tonight. Lots more.

Layer after layer of complex, footnote-laden construction plans peel off Soundwave's collection. Floor after floor, room after room, every screw and bolt and seam and plate and wire and button going toward that damned metal behemoth laid out in excruciatingly precise detail.

Soundwave's feelers are just as methodical in their investigation. The tendrils are thin, but the leads at their ends are thinner still, and slide just beneath the panel's edges to run themselves along its sides, offering the tiniest of jolts  while they search for a switch, a hinge, or some other blessed thing willing to grant them entry. Prowl (verdigrisprowl)Yesterday at 11:46 PM Prowl moans into Soundwave's mouth as the data pours through, all hard lines and numbers, from the vast sweeping curve of the hull to the individual wires directed to each little switch. His fingers twitch with overeagerness as his fingertips, far blunter than Soundwave's tendrils, run along the edge of Soundwave's panel; open up, let him in.

He's had the plans only a few seconds before he pings Soundwave back, smugly, with one layer and one spot on it circled in a neat red line. «Weak spot.»

His panel snaps open, crackling with electricity as it drags under Soundwave's leads. Soundwave (Slenderwave)Today at 12:07 AM The sound immediately becomes one of the highlights of Soundwave's collection. He'll develop a habit of playing it back to himself on future nights, biting his own arm to keep from matching the noise. For now, it spurs him into biting Prowl instead, wishing more than anything he could draw energon - that he could actually taste something other than flavorless light, and always know that it belongs to his amica.

Something to look into when he's not focused on tracing the ridges in Prowl's throat cabling with his tongue.

He'd meant to tease Prowl, to keep his panel closed a while yet and see if he could make Prowl beg. The speed with which the neat red line appears completely spoils that plan. The panel pops open like a safe door at a burglar's convention, inviting Prowl to do as he pleases, and Soundwave doesn't bother trying to shut it.

He shivers and pulls to the side, meaning to knock Prowl down onto his back - all the more room for those tendrils to better angle themselves against Prowl's valve, twisting together as they rub upward and fanning out to trail over empty ports when they drift down again.

It's asking a little too much of his balance just then.

That's all right. The floor's nice too, and he can have just as much fun on his own back. He inhales sharply in surprise, then lets out a wheezy laugh. Having Soundwave pinned under him is a comparative rarity, but one he thinks he'll enjoy quite a bit for the moment. And Soundwave will have his turn on top soon enough.

Arrival: I arrived late around 8:15pm. I was picked up by Alex (the taxi driver). Alex is 22 and believe he is aspiring to be a planter or something. But for now he is a driver.The drive from the airport to kisieran was about 30-40 minutes. I passed Mama Ndinda house and it brought back so many memories. I am excited to see them soon. From Ngong to Kiersian is about 20 miles give or take I’m not sure. When I approached the green gate, I believe it was Steven that was there at the gate ready to greet me! He welcomed me with a huge smile and a Karibu. I then met Jenny, the incoming director who was waiting for my outside in the cold. She was very welcoming and gave me nothing but smiles. Once I entered the guest house I met three ladies from Erie. Stacey, Katie, and Jennifer. They are in hopes of starting their own Non-Profit. They are donating tablets to the girls for educational purposes. This is suppose to help them with their studies and accesses where they need help. Hekima Place is the first home they visited. Day 1:

I was given some personal time so my body could adjust to the time difference. I woke up to Katie, one of the volunteers, cooking us breakfast. After that we walked around the compound and I met baby hope and baby Mercy Medivia. Mercy has never seen white people before so when they approach her she begins to cry. I introduced myself to her she liked me and let me hold her. The mum said I was a lucky one. Then Katie and stacie showed me their tablets that brought over. They brought over 25 tablets for grades 5-8 to play on and get help tutoring. I played the games and they seem great. I think the dilemma is two things: 1. We cannot push western culture onto a group that has not asked for it. And 2. Kate the director does not want to introduce a new element to the program that might deter the girls from the goal. In the US I believe girls and boys in low income neighbors and even unemployed neighborhoods could use this program. But after watching them be engaged with it they loved it. I hope that it goes well. Today I got to meet most of the girls. They are extremely friendly and well mannered. At dinner they danced for us. I believe it was a Somali dance. They sung a prayer too. I hope to better my Kiswahili while I am here.

Day 2.

I woke up at 6am to get ready for 7:30am prayer and staff meeting. I made myself a sandwich and cleaned the dishes. I don’t like bugs so if the kitchen stays clean that means less bugs. I went to the staff meeting. We began with a bible verse from James 3:1-4 afterwards we prayed and started the staff meeting. Mum Kate said today will be going to Smith Hotel with the Mums and the Laura and her daughters will be left behind to take care of the children. Baby Mercy does not like Muzungus (white people) so I would like to see how that goes. I hope that the Smith Hotel has wifi so I can in contact with my family and friends here in Kenya. I talked to Lucy and she said she would come by on Sunday.  

Day 3:

We did not go to the Smith, but we did go out to the Hub. Which is a really expensive mall for tourist and people who have money (so not me). Yesterday I was frustrated because the visitors here from GW keep asking the girls to speak English. This frustrates me because one: the language of the country is Swahili. And they are mad when they girls speak the language of their country like I think when visitors come they should try to learn their language.

Day 4:

We taught the 4-8 how to use the LeapFrog tablets.  I normally get up at 7am for the staff meeting then I ask the mums if the need help with chores. On weekends the girls wake up later and start chores for the house. They do things like clean the kitchen and bathroom, sweep the floors etc.  Like today I washed the dishes with the red house. Then I played soccer with some of the girls. Then in the afternoon I pealed and plucked corn my thumb started to bleed. The other volunteers did not come until the chores were finished. The girls expressed to us how they were bored. Laura one of the members on the board suggested a dance party. This was especially nice because all the girl were home. Some of the girls from university were here and most of the girls from high school were on break. It was a Huge celebration! We had a chocolate Party everyone danced and laughed. Day 5:

Today was long, It began with mass at 11am. we set up the cafeteria like a church and the priest flew in from Tanzania. The sermon itself was not long but the formalities were long, like prayer and the songs. After that we had some time to relax but not much because we had to transform the cafeteria into a celebration ceremony. Some of the Kenyan board arrived and almost all of the staff was there. Once we began, it lasted until dinner time. all the house sung songs and the older presented speeches. They even choose me to speak and I've only been her for five days! I was really nervous. After the ceremony we had dinner and finally went to sleep. Day 6:

I woke up early to teach preschool. Todays lesson was about recognizing number. After that we had to train the house mums on how to use the tablets and set the child protection settings. At the end of the night Laura and her daughters left there were only here for about 3 days it was not long. But they have been to Hekima before.

Day7:  

Today was relaxed, I woke up late then went into town to one of the local malls. I had KFC which probably wasn’t the best choose for my digestive system but at least I had a taste of home (sort of). Then I came back to prepare the actual tablet pilot to allow the girls to see them. One of the volunteers had an emergency at home which caused her a lot of stress. Jenny friend also had an emergency which caused her to leave the compound. But Laura (Hekima board member) said she would write me a recommendation letter so thats nice. I’ve learned that networking is not that hard. Ms. Laura just saw my work ethic and pulled me to the side and told me how impressed she was with me.

Day 8:

I went into town with Edith and Ruth we took about 6 Matatu altogether. Things I noticed was that gas is 99 cents here but really lower than that because of the conversion. Once we arrived into town I got touched like 3 times, once I was called a Muzungu then one guy tried to touch my arm to get my attention. It made me quiet angry because I’m use to having my own space and for the most part being respected. In town we attended a play.Of course we missed the one in English so I watched a Play in Swahili, I was surprised because I understood some of it. I managed to follow along. It was really intense. It was about abortion, domestic violence, college. Several pressing issue that plague this country. Afterward it started to rain and we needed something to eat. So we went to Big Square. I got Fish and Chips (fries) . The others got chicken and chips. After, while walking in the rain we Sam (the driver) and he didn’t pick us up, that was unfortunate because I was cold and it was raining. But Jenny picked up us in Ngong at the mall. This morning I taught Preschool and they are learning to spell their names. Since that cut short because of the trip to Nairobi. I gave them biscuits. They were so happy.

June 23-25:  

This weekend I went out with some friends I met from my last trip we went to a rugby game. I ran into some of my friends I made last year. It was like a reunion. There's some days, I never want to leave this place. Its truly a paradise. The only things I would change is the convenience of little things like reception wifi everywhere. Knowing the lay of the land. But I love Kenya. Im learning more Swahili everyday. I could see myself living here. Sometimes I consider it. The other girls. Katie, Stacey and Jess left for Uganda but there are coming back! June 26:When I returned to Hekima Place I was. Welcomed with many arms. I also met Aku and Bravon they are Jenny friends! Afterwards Maddie, myself and the girls went on a hike and you could see EVERYTHING even the city. It’s so nice. I also braided Tracey’s hair everyone was impressed I knew how to cornrows here they call shiku or something like that.

June 28: 

Today is really cold and rainy, I was to work in the office but because Jenny is working on policy paper work and mum Sophie is gone it looks like I will be doing my own thing today. Dilemma, I really want to make a trip to Mombasa! We shall see I’m not sure the next time ill be able to come back. Time goes fast here I only have 3 more weeks. It was uneventful today. I mostly colored. It was also very cold like winter almost. I might work in the kitchen. Today they have slaughtered chickens. But I did not want to see. Tomorrow we are suppose to do the inventory for clothes and donations. Which should be all day, at least it’s not the shamba or animals so I’m kind of happy. Although I was suppose to have personal time Friday we are going out to elephants and bead factory. Id rather just be allowed to roam myself.  Sometime you can get such tourist aspect of Kenya. I also felt like the house mum I helped with homework made sure some of the littles ones were to bed. Little grace and I even did homework that was ahead so she is free tomorrow.

June 29: 

Today was FUN. First I sorted clothes, there were so many clothes then I helped Maddie cook vegetable pasta. I do not think I introduced Maddie she lives near Pittsburgh and goes to Penn State she is an aspiring doctor and has traveled a lot. After Pasta I read Sisters Solidjah Im at the part where winter loses everything and is pretty much alone. Reading has been so exciting when you have nothing else to do but kill time, I feel like such a book worm. After I read I took a nap. Thought about the movie La La Land and how the couple did not end up together but it was for the best because they would not have lived out their dream. After Rabin, Bravon and Maddie we all cook chapati with egg. Rabin and Bravon are around 27 and 28. It was probably the best thing I’ve had in a long time. It was not soon after the girls were home and we ate dinner. I have pimples, and everyone asks me what's wrong with my face. I think for the most part everyone's skin is here pretty much perfectly smooth like no blemishes. The know what pimples are but I guess they don’t show often. They ask are they mosquitoes bite is it rash. At this point I don’t even get angry over it. I just play it  off. Soon Ill be helping with homework again! Last night I was not feeling well. My stomach was very upset from all the food I ate but it turns out it was just gas

He loves the water, and loves people. He is very bored sitting in his kennel most of the day, so he's been getting some extra play time in the yard to help him unwind. It's great to see him lounging in the pool on a warm spring day. Shortstop doesn't even wait for the pool to be filled up when he gets outside. He just poses in the frog leg position. But I think we've uncovered a little secret between these two lovers. Shortstop and Jules are kennel neighbors on the inside. Who knows if they talk at night when no one is around! Shortstop is friendly and outgoing. Shortstop spent time at finder's home with 2 children ages 7 and 10. He was relaxed and playful. Shortstop displayed aggressive behavior with finder's dog, who is a German Shepard. Finder stated that Shortstop would not stop barking at their resident dog. There is no known bite history and according to the finder Shortstop might not be housetrained. The finder describes Shortstop´s energy level as high. Other Notes: Finder stated that Shortstop destroyed items in their home and is not house trained.
