London Carter had plans.  She had plans for graduating Magna Cum Laude with a double major in political science and international relations.  She had plans to work on Ellen Claremont’s reelection campaign, to help make another four years of Claremont-Holleran a reality.  She had plans for winning her senate seat, and for becoming Secretary of State.  She had plans to be Vice President in the Claremont-Diaz Carter administration of 2032-2040 alongside her best friend, FSOTUS Alex Claremont-Diaz.  Her plans did not include Alex causing an international incident with the Prince Of England.  Her plans also did not include having to use every bit of her upcoming international relations degree to clean up his mess.  And her plans definitely did not include Alex falling in love with said Prince Of England, especially in the middle of Ellen’s reelection.

International relations between New Zealand and Europe needed to start somewhere. Portugal looks like a promising country for the beginning of New Zealand's political journey and nothing better than a diplomatic visit to the country to formalize it.

Some members of the Portuguese and New Zealander governments are about to be reunited with Portugal's former Royal Family. This meeting was not an obligation, since the Portuguese Monarchy ceased to function a long time ago... but this meeting had to happen.

Why? Maybe because it's important to know the country's past to se if it's worth continuing the relation... or else to join the destinies of Mitch, the son of the New Zealand president, and Antonio, the youngest son of the monarchs Felix da Costa.

Who would have thought that, months after a make-out session in a night club and some morning bed talk in the Maldives, both would be politely shaking hands, in a political meeting that would be the union of two countries and the temptation of two hearts.

sooo for inspiration saturday part i decided to post the banner for my rwrb au + a tiny lil snippet. (kels, look away)

"Shouldn't you be, I don't know, doing royal duties or something?"

"Royal duties?" Eddie chuckles and raises an amused eyebrow at him. "And what would these duties entail, according to you?"

"Make a poor employer miserable, count your gold, play some boring sport like golf or something. Walk around having no fun at all and think everyone is beneath you." Buck shrugs. "Clean your crown for the hundredth time. How would I know?"

Eddie laughs ruefully. "I think the miserable employer would be cleaning my crown in this scenario you made in your head."

"Why are you talking to me?" Buck bites the bullet, not wanting to go through any more fake niceties.

"Well… Sophia and Philip are shaking hands with pretty much every member related to royalty or people in politics, which is boring and dull and not something I'd do unless I absolutely have to." Eddie shrugs. "And Chim is flirting with your sister, so I thought you and I could talk and kill some time."

"We're not friends."

"I know we're not friends. I'm just trying to have some civilized conversation, Jesus Christ."

and for the fuck it part, i'm gonna share a bit of reincarnation au bc i've been thinking about it lately. so here, have some moodboards and a lil teeny tiny wee snippet under the cut.

Buck's heard the legends and the stories about soulmates. About how, if you find the person you're destined to be with, at the first touch you will just know it.

He remembers in fifth grade, his history teacher talked about how, if you're lucky enough to have a soulmate, the first time you touch that person you will remember all of the lives past you experienced with them.

At the time it felt like this sweet and amazing fairy tale— but just that. It's always been this kind of myth, this sort of fairy tale that people tell but no one has really experienced so far. A kind of distant thing that Buck never ever thought he'd experience.

Until Eddie reaches for his hand.

The moment their fingers touch, it's like a big lightning strike going through him. It's fireworks and a rollercoaster and magic, all mixing and brewing inside his heart.

Caroline Henrietta Alexandria Theresa Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor.  Princess of Wales.  Britain’s sweetheart, the tragic princess.  If her life were her own, maybe Caroline could have followed her dreams, could have followed her father’s footsteps and become an actress, the first female James Bond.  But her life belonged to crown and country, and Caroline’s free will only extended far enough to choose which media smile to use on any given day.  Caroline Fox had dreams, hopes, ambitions, secrets.  Princess Caroline was just a doll, a piece in her grandmother’s never ending game of chess.  This time, Caroline’s job was simple: to clean up the mess caused by her older brother and her dearest friend, to make the so-called Cakegate look like a silly misstep between best friends and not like an international incident that could determine the fate of American politics for the next four years and beyond.  In theory, it shouldn’t have been too hard, after all, Henry and Alex were quite possibly her two favourite people in the world, and Caroline had never not been able to charm her way out of trouble.  The only problem is that her grandmother’s plan involves a staging a relationship and eventually an engagement, possibly even another royal wedding.  The only problem is that this relationship would be between Caroline herself and Alex Claremont-Diaz.  The only problem is that Caroline knows that Henry has been in love with Alex for the past four years.

DEARLY BELOVEDS once again I have no new Tarlos content for you (only RWRB, maybe if enough people are keen I can post some of that on Wednesday or something). So, I must regretfully force you to accept this additional snippet of ALTA (this one is from chapter 2). I will also post a moodboard below of ALTA chapter 2 for your appraisal and (hopefully) general confusion. Please provide feedback.

“How did you get here?” Carlos asks, tugging his keys from the pocket of his jeans with his free hand. It’s a bit of a struggle, his left hand isn’t his dominant one, and these jeans are very tight. He isn’t sure why he chose to wear this particular pair, but it maybe wasn’t the most practical option.

“Gene dropped me off,” TK says. “God, Carlos, why are you running?”

“This is walking with purpose, TK,” Carlos retorts, a smile itching at the corners of his mouth. “You should try it sometime.”

“I’ve lived in New York City for the better part of the last six years,” TK points out. “I know what walking with purpose looks like and this isn’t it.”

“Maybe it’s because your legs are short.”

“My legs are one inch shorter than yours!”

Carlos throws caution to the wind and laughs, finding a soft pout on TK’s flushed face as they step in front of the Camaro. “Here,” he says, pushing the paper bag into TK’s hand as he opens the car door for him. “You’re in charge of the precious cargo.”

“You know, I almost can’t believe this is your car,” TK quips as Carlos shuts his door and slides into the driver’s seat. “What happened to that absolute bomb you had in college?”

“Upgraded,” Carlos replies breezily, throwing the car into reverse and then manoeuvring them through the parking lot and onto the main road. “I had to save for ages on a government salary, though.”

“It’s nice,” TK says, cradling the paper bag and leaning back against the leather seat in Carlos’ peripherals. “You deserve nice things.”
