uuhh, hypothetically, asking for a friend, let's say you have bought a ton of really shitty yarn. Like the worst acrylic you ever touched because it was really cheap (not actually that cheap actually) and you have no impulse control. it's 2kg of yarn, one color (charcoal). what would you make? Debuted my crochet Zagreus at Otakon on Saturday!

This is my first crochet sword! (it lights sup and has a sensor to change the lights and play sounds when it moves, but the battery died the Saturday morning 😭)

Notes, breakdowns, and pattern info will be posted as I get a chance to edit the footage and notes I took. (I'm also starting a new job tomorrow, so patience is greatly appreciated 👍)

after 15 freakin' months, i've finally finished my mosaic blanket 😭 i could not be happier with how it turned out. it's soo heavy, and so warm and soft. i've got it draped over the back of my couch now.

it's made up of 32 skeins of dk weight 100% merino wool. the pattern is "norway spruce blanket" on ravelry, and the yarns i used were a mix of estelle dk merino and urth harvest dk.

I want to brag about my latest crochet project for a second

I’ve never used store-bought straps before, so sewing them on was an adventure. But that’s not (entirely) why I want to brag. Let me show you another picture

Look at the side. Notice something?

That’s right. I’ve managed to hide two rainbow flags and two bisexual flags

So there’s a pride flag on top of one side

And a bi flag on top of the other, with a bonus rainbow flag around the bottom

The other bi flag is on the bottom of the bag because of a miscalculation

There were some mishaps along the way but I’m very pleased with the result!

Hey hello!

Here are some colored doodles of the fun little DHMIS bodyswap idea thought up by the very fun, very smart @escargon! I did them way back when and wanted to finish them up to add to the fun lol.

It was sooo much fun to draw and I hope I made it clear whos who by the body language/dialogue but if not! I put a helpful little diagram in there. Also,as well, I think if Duck had access to a relatively-normal sized body like Reds’ that duckman is dressing up and NO ONE can stop him. So that’s the last two.

Not me as somebody who crochets on the reg getting criticisms/unwanted comments about everything I make:

"You always use the same colors" :/

Me: can't help it I'm a thalassophile and therefore I must always use beige, khaki, turquoise, teal, aqua blues, whites of all shades. Let the coastal creations commence!

"Nice bag. You know, that looks perfect to use only for holidays like Easter"

Me: ...my coastal bag is to be used every time I feel like it. What are you talking about.

"Those oceanic colors don't match with your current outfit so don't use it."

Me: it's not about what looks nice TO YOU but what feels right and fun to use FOR ME.

"Why don't you add (whatever) to your creation. It'd look great if you add (whatever). And, how about next time, you actually use a leather bag bottom instead?"

Me: I don't want to.

"You sure can't take a comment or a slight criticism. Why are you like this?" :/

Me: you sure can't mind your business.

"Why are you doing 2 projects at once. Finish one and start the other I don't get it."

Me: oh you sweet summer child ohohoho...you just don't understand the mind of a crocheter do ya?

"You know, if you make something for somebody it sure won't be coastal themed or whatever. You have to try something different."

Me: who said I'm making anyone ANYTHING? They don't want to pay the correct price for a hand-made creation so that won't be happening. Anyway, ONTO THE COASTAL THEMED SCARF!

So ima be honest. I do like. Art stuff and writing a bit. Or a lot. But I've never like posted it? I was too shy... but maybe I should post some idk scribbles and stuff- what do yall think?
