Hey so I have really horrible anxiety and I'm generally really awful at talking to people even online but I wanted to let you know that I always like seeing your posts on my dash, even if it's just to talk about what's going on in your life. I've always felt too nervous to reach out but you seem like a really cool person. Sorry to hear about the car accident and I hope your recovery goes well.

Hey, don't feel nervous. I was a little emotional, high on pain killers and just wanted my twin with me. (I honestly have no one here with me and I'm just alone)

I didn't mean for you to feel like this and anxious to talk to me. You can always put it on Anon if you're ever worried and anxious. I promise. I just love to make new friends on here and it sucks when nobody really interacts with my stuff, y'know? 😅

I do apologise for the recent posts on my life goin downhill for me, but I'm pretty sure things will get better soon.

And my recovery is slowly goin good. I get pains every now and then, it's still tender on the incision and my left arm and leg just hurts from the impact.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope you didn't feel rushed or pressured to talk to me. Cause that was NEVER my intentions. I don't EVER want to force people (especially my followers) to do somethin they're not comfortable with.

I REALLY do try to post every now and then, life really just does get in the way with my two jobs and little time to slow my ass down and actually relax. Basically, like a really busy Tim Drake.

And don't worry, I have the same thing and I'm honestly quiet terrible at replyin back to messages from people online as well, my friend. You're not alone. 💜

I am going to say that my absolute favorite is the framed one with the mermaid scales! That gradient fits it so perfect!

AND OMG IS THAT METALLIC THREAD?!😱 Okay, that makes it even more my favorite because, it gives it such an awesome look.

And I am filled with such glee and dopamine. Seeing my love and justice pattern stitched up! I'm still working on mine.

Daily Commute.

I’m looking at FB again. A few friends on my news feed are reporting that they are already stuck in traffic in various places. One on the M25, one on the M5, one on the M1. It’s only 0730 people! What’s going on? How early do you need to get up to get to work before your alternative hours to beat the traffic start?

Me: I’d better get a shiffty on... along the hall, down the stairs turn right. Arrive at my destination...Enter password...Hmm...It was a bit busy in the hall as the kids are on school holidays and there was a bit of conjestion at the bathroom exit but it soon cleared. Think I’ll pull into the kitchen and get a cup of tea while they, my dear collegues that is, get into the office.

It’s the way ahead folks...🚦🚘

Willie Jones III, My Point Is…

The drummer quite deservedly landed an article in Down Beat in the January 2018 issue. It’s fitting that such a stalwart jazz advocate should be prominently featured—he is giving so much to jazz, through his relentless grooves as well as his knack for producing impeccable albums. His latest offering is a marvel. Crisp and inventive, without any of the conceptual tinsel that the industry expects to market jazz, his latest albums focuses on the essential: the compositional material and the expressive interaction between creative players. In the same spirit as his previous album dedicated to Cedar Walton (Groundwork), this is about making the most of great tunes, including three by the leader. There’s a clever funky reworking of Hancock’s “The Maze”, Buster Williams’s superb ballad “Christina”, his swinging compositions “The Wind of an Immortal Soul”, a deft original by Eric Reed (“Manhattan Melodies”) and Horace Silver’s “Peace” to add another touch of sensitive introspection. This aspect of the leader’s musical world is especially prominent here with his splendid “Early Morning” and the title track, clearly anchoring the date in a somewhat grave ambiance. The balance between hard blowing and more contemplative moods is a delicate affair based on the players’ personal commitment. One can only enjoy the subtle drone and conversation of Buster Williams’s lines, the drummer’s tasteful accents, the colours provided by Eric Reed and the lyricism of Moore and Henderson—two deeply original voices— all of this merging into a refined and intense set of deep and determined musical declarations. Each outing by Willie Jones III is a statement, one of devotion and passion—this one particularly vivid and heartfelt.

As a Kaylor shipper It’s not like we don’t support or love taylor . But this is showbiz whether u like it or not it’s 80% business .and they need to make money . Like Taylor’s fear she doesn’t want all her hard work to burn and being into a relationship with a girl that she knows some of her fans wouldn’t understand , or may feel betrayed because a lot of people know her songs are about her ex boyfriends . And I’m not sorry if I truly believe in kaylor because we have more valid realness about kaylor . The more they hide it the more it shows . But don’t you all think that talvin is a bit sketchy ? 1. Pure Sunday morning bliss. The morning after the night before, which consisted of three glasses of Chardonay and a large g&t. (Is that excessive?)

The windows are wide open and i’m listening to the rain soaking into the parched earth while the parched me sips tea and dreams of far flung places. In my head i’m serious planning a year out to travel. America, India, Thailand...

The realisation: My beautiful eight year old, and my youngest, slumbers softly in the next room. Is 10 years too long to hold on to my travel dream? Will I still want to?

I missed you BlooD MooN. I was too dog tired to stay awake to look at you. I know I have missed seeing you forever! I will languish in bed past 9 o’clock looking at everyone elses photos on FB of you, wishing I’d stayed awake.

Jam Fest!

After spending my waking hours with my eyes fixed a 18 inches away from a screen all week, how do I spend Saturday? You may ask?

So the working week ticked on and there was no time for jaming. The fridge is heaving with my prepared wild fruit. Unable to fill it with anything else I knew Saturday was J-Day!

3kg so far with at least another 6kg to process! Beautiful yellow and red jars full. Dark ones next. Then back to red but may add some ginger for a twist.

A local expat woman said to me; “Why do all Engish women feel the need to make jam when they come to France!” (Less of a question more of a statement with a ‘tut’ on the end).

Well I have and I did! It’s food for free(ish), It’s fun to foridge with my girls, it graces my B&B breakfast table and it tastes bloomin’ lovely. That’s why!
