dandelion is indeed the worst but if he’s not present in the next book i would legitimately be sorrowful as the whole thing will become a slog . you basically cannot have the “short stories” era-of-the-timeline iteration of geralt without dandelion, it would be like eating unbuttered bread.

though it’s not like season of storms did them dirty, i wasn’t disappointed with it (… with regards to them), but since it’s literally been over 20 years since the saga was finished i’m trying to prepare for any potential reality

What's your favourite saiki headcannon / fun fact?

im not really a headcannons person (i am not very creative unfortunately T_T) but i a head canon i have is that if (hopefully its more of a when for me at least) he reveals his powers he takes his friends cool places that he wouldnt otherwise like in space and stuff.(letting kaido live out his chunnibiyou dreams lol) i just think it'd be neat ya know? I'm not sure how his powers would make it work out but i think it'd be fun for them to go on sci-fi field trips and stuff

I also think that if he ever did decide to do a power reveal about it too i think he'd have the psy kickers help him out too. Before he was all alone and didnt have anyone else to talk to about his powers (besides his family). and its just like hey you dont have to do this alone? you dont have to be so worried about it? because they already know and try not to make a big deal of it so its like oh yeah. and of course the guys that dont know accept him for that but i think the fact that he has other people supporting him to make that decision is just. really important to me ya know?

tdov was like a week ago already but I just wanna say when I came over to vacation slash help my sworn brother move flat he told me, "ever since you said you wanted to get top surgery I've been thinking about it. it's straight up number two on my bucket list"

I think I was worried abt like. idk. something #but one year past looking back Im fully like that was a stupid move you shouldve gotten meds. youve once again fucked urself baku #but yeah with that kinda realization Ive also come to realized I've somewhat? accepted. that I'm just gonna be. like this #this in light of a number of likely chronic stuff too (hence my balloon-like constitution lmao) and #that's kinda bled into the rest of me without me really noticing #but him bringing that up fully unprompted... kinda jolted me out of it #its just. really incredibly sweet. that someone doesn't want me to settle for what I make do with #and like. preps for that work. just kinda held my hand and told me it's possible to do this actually #I didn't really express how I felt very well in that moment I think my brain is very bad and I process emotions with like a day of delay #but. well. not sure if this is a hot take but. imo. Fire God Liu Kang kinda sucks and it's the worst direction NRS could've taken his character in tbh

#i would elaborate but im at work waiting for a playblast to render so all ill say is #it contradicts what he had going on since mk9 and I know his character was never very consistent #and you could argue he was even a lil bland #but even then there was Something but then they kinda killed it in Aftermath and man.#and now i feel like his mk1 self is the Embodiment of the 'he's just a good guy and nothing more' criticism #Bc it truly does feel like he left behind everything and everyone who made him a deeper n more interesting person #idk i just think that Liu. if he'd been well written. would've never accepted that offer of divinity #and seeing him as the fire god and even harnessing the hourglass' power leaves a sour taste in my mouth #and i don't see a good character i see someone who had so much potential #but ultimately became completely defined by the 'Good Guy Protagonist' trope rather than embracing the nuance he used to have #ooooh yeah he became a benevolent almighty god!!!!! a perfect ending for him!!!!! #the worst of evil #ranting #idk how to articulate how juicy it is #junmo's fierce protectiveness of his wife - he trusts her but can't help his jealousy fear or frustration while trapped in the situation #euijeong hurting but putting her own life on the line worried for her husband while unpacking the memories of her first love #she can't help but sympathize with kicheol and what he's endured; haven't seen much of how she feels rn but it must be c o n f l i c t e d #(not necessarily even in a romantic way but wanting to root for a person chasing their goals who was once so important to you)#(all while grieving her mother without the support of her literal goddamn spouse by her side)#and kicheol. also grieving and trying to establish a place for himself and his crew yet drawn to junmo despite the red flags #his panic and desperation when jungmo bled out on him which must have triggered his own memories of losing taeho #junmo who has every reason to despise kicheol barely concealing his general rage but protects him like it's second nature at every turn #all while conflicted as a bystander to atrocities (and now willfully leaving another cop to die to protect himself his wife and the mission #getting mentally and physically pummeled left and right just bc his superiors demand it from him #all to please euijeong's family by using the promotions to prove himself and get rid of the stigma weighing him down #like !!!#and haven't even touched on kicheol wooing euijeong against his buddy's wishes and in such a pure heart fluttering way #accepting the risk for a second chance to bathe in the bright light she used to shine on his life #OMG AND BIBI'S ENTRANCE!! junmo realizing her interest gives him leverage and agency but struggling to use it to his advantage #it's soooo messy and i'm obsessed #that funeral arc is gonna haunt me for years #as is the tension during the pat down which def was supposed to be like a gang pride/dignity/lack of power against the jp folks thing #also testing their relationship and responsibilites as leader subordinate #but felt charged around whether kicheol would protest or junmo would accept the manhandling in totally different 👀 ways #goddamn i wrote an essay and this doesn't even scratch the surface of the meat of the show #tldr; i have many many feelings and for once the 'love triangle' isn't making me gauge out my own eyeballs #it's about power it's about raising the stakes and revealing things about the characters w/o dominating the plot
