"Ah wait, Naruto-san." she pleaded, her voice sounded so desperate she thinks, but her blonde crush immediately turned his body as he heard her. His body facing towards her, and his chest so broad even at this distance that Hinata just secretly likes it a lot. Likes to appreciate the physical attributes that her crush have attained during his life.

It was nice. Hinata thought.

To call him like this, and give him the most important thing to start their day. It was astonishing that she could experience this occasion. She should relish this feeling, she knew she should be.

A gentle hm left his lips yet it struck the indigo-haired woman's heart, that's right now starting to thump a little louder than before. Her hands started to sweat, especially the right one, to relax herself a little bit..she found her pencil skirt to clutch onto to gather some strength, at least

May god help her to not mess this up or else-!

"Hinata-san?"

His voice snapped her out of her reverie, adding to her lists of embarrassment that she might just remember again tonight before she slept. She smiled timidly to him, as her eyes fluttered, gazing at him.

Yes.

She can do this.

It's quite easy, isn't it?

Hinata prepared herself, clenching her fists to calm her annoyingly loud heart that's quite stopping her from making a move from her crush. This was getting dragged on! She doesn't want to waste his time.

"Ano.. Naruto-kun..," she started, and then what now? What should she say next? Her eyes gaze downwards, finding some strength and then.. and then suddenly she stared back again to his azure eyes.

Those eyes she adored the most.

Quite frankly, it was hard not to get hypnotized by such beautiful eyes, but Hinata has some other stuff to focus on. "I want to give you this before you go, " her right hand immediately acted upon, finding something in her blazer's pocket and rummaging through it swiftly.

"Before I go? Okay!"

"Is it a candy or wha—" Naruto freezes right on his spot when he makes out what Hinata actually wants to give to him.

Her fore finger bends a little to meet her thumb, forming a heart shape. A finger heart, while her whole face is beaming with joy and love. Soft cheeks were stained by the usuals rosy pink yet it added to Hinata's cute charm.

"My heart." she finished it with a wink that can make even a blue haired pale skinned man blush and faint!

Naruto froze in his position, jaw slacked with his eyes wide. Earning some weird glance from the people walking. It took him some minutes to gather himself, dumbfounded at this sudden move from his co-worker. His mouth felt too dry for now, not trusting his voice to come out and question Hinata, what the hell just happened?

She however is almost near malfunctioning, her face so red it can rival Sasuke's favorite tomatoes he always ate every hour, every minute and every seconds. Her hands were already on her side, trembling furiously. "GoodbyeNaruto-kun!" She then dashed immediately in the opposite direction, leaving Naruto on his own, in the middle of the hallway leading to the floor's elevator.

Wh-what's that?!

His right hand then covered his face, before crouching unconsciously on the ground.

My heart, her voice echoing on his damn mind. Soft timid voice that started to enamored him right away.

Hinata's heart, huh.

She's giving it to him, that recklessly?!

His face sets to a crimson color, the sound of his heart palpable even at a far distance. He mumbled to himself, "Why did I think it was so cute?!!"

Later that night, Naruto had barely any sleep because his mind continuously replayed what happened during the afternoon. Hinata's voice and face looming over his mind.

He's doomed.

-I check this one for updates so often. at least once a week, but more like multiple times a week.

Eight years flown on by and Naruto makes his return to the city where he once fell in love, only for him to leave hollow and broken after she was persuaded to leave him. Plagued by her memory at every corner, a chance meeting changes fates, minds, and hearts. Thus he tries to silence the memories. Inspired and based on Jane Austen's Persuasion.

-ahhh loving the yearning angst of unrequited love (but it's actually requited) in this fic.

"Amaranthine" by @opttagoyeo - Rated T, Various AU, Series of unrelated one-shots. A few drabbles/ideas ranging from fluff, confusing, humor, and angst regarding the most iconic and popular canon couple of Konohagakure, Naruhina.

-just started reading this! Full of cuteness.

"After Office Hours" by Pandora_Imperatrix - Rated M, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Naruto is lonely after Sakura and Sasuke left the village to travel together, he keeps leaving the office later and later, things start to change after one night when his secretary Hinata and him share a couple of vending machine beers. In this AU Naruto becomes Hokage a lot earlier than in the manga and The Last never happened.

-It's been years since this was updated, and recently Pandora updated and just finished it!!!!!!

"Friends with benefits" by @pastillesch - Rated T, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. "I'm dumping you" --Naruto blinked once. Twice. "But we're not even together". It was more a stress relief than anything romantic, really. A hobby one would say. And now it was time to search for a new hobby. Or at least a new partner for this kind of hobby.

-Another one that I was super excited to see updated again!!!!

-Since I'm really feeling Luna's style, I checked out this story, too, and it's super cute. Love it.

-I am a total sucker for this type of size difference au. Like, it's just such a weird trope. It's just so weird. I love it. Makuro767 does a wonderful job with it!

"Love Is Not A Cage" by @nightowl27-writer - Rated E, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. When Naruto comes back to his senses after the battle with Pein, the first thing he remembers are those baffling words she said just before she nearly died for him, and he NEEDS to hear them again. Will the truth set them free? Or are some confessions too much for the soul?

-that recent update killed me. In a good way. but oh man.

"Hinata (Mirror, Mirror)" from "Chicken Ramen for the Pervert's Soul" by @wickermayne - Rated E, Canon-Compliant, One-shot. Naruto rolled his eyes at the purchase asking why she needed it and complained about how much room it took up, but Hinata enjoyed modeling different dresses in front of it, loved how it let her see all the many different angles. And that seemed to keep Naruto quiet enough about the mirror.

"Prey" by @sessakag - Rated E, Modern/Gangs AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. Following a midnight chance encounter with Hinata Hyuuga, a smitten sociopath, Naruto Uzumaki, tries his hand at romance, determined to make her fall in love with him the only way he knows how.

-it's the mystery of Hinata's background that really fuels this piece for me. Icing on the cake is Naruto as a wonderfully sexy and dangerous stranger and the sexual tension between them that is absolutely exquisite.

"Paper Rings" by Its_Levioooosaa - Rated E, College/Soulmates AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. In a world where soulmates are found after a touch and after a brief moment of pain, resulting in a red loop circling the first knuckle of each person's pinky finger. Fating the two people together and leaving it up to them to decide what their relationship will be. Hinata had just stopped at her friends for a piece of pizza, little did she know that she'd be leaving with a soulmate.

-It's a cute premise and I can't wait to see what happens next! I love a good soulmate AU!

"Wanting More Than A Poolside View" by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated E, High School AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. Just a Sukumizu fetish scenario where Hinata is the target of a panty thief and recruits Naruto to investigate himself.

-I've been loving all of Bunny's updates this year, but I'm really hoping for an update on this one....or Narutoland haha, but I dunno what it is about High School NaruHina and their immaturity, it's just so fun!

Compounds by Midnightrain19 (Highschool AU)

"By definition, it means when two or more chemical elements bonded together that - wait, are you even listening Naruto?" Hinata paused looking up. A lazy smirk etches his face and shivers go up her spine, face warming. Leaning in, his grin widens. "Of course, I'm enjoying this talk on heat dynamics; especially with you!" She stutters and he beams, chemistry just got interesting…

Surprisingly this is the first naruhina highschool au fic I've read, and WOW. I really like how the characters are written, and this story will definitely catch you by surprise in the middle. It seems like an unassuming fluff fest, but it really hits you with the angst and the action. I can't say any more about it because I might spoil it. A MUST-READ.

21 Days by BunnyHoodlum  @bunny-hoodlum (Modern AU)

Hinata answered a simple post from a flirty, and blatantly horny guy. She thought that might break her out of her shell, help her practice establishing her boundaries and all that stuff.

She never would have known that the flirty anon on the other side was someone she actually knew.

(I think this is a pretty well known fic? But I don't really see enough people talking about it.)

This is one of those fics where the tags would either frighten or intrigue you.

Something about Naruto being a military brat lights a fire in me (a very hot, smokey fire). I really love how Naruto's brain works in the fic. We dive in so deep into his own troubles with his family life, with his relationships, and with himself. Hinata's troubles are so well written, and I love how even if she's meant to be a bit closed off, she doesn't come across as meek and mild. 

The team 7 dynamic in this is adorable, and the smut is smutty.

Don't let the fact that it's incomplete sway you the story is so SO worth it.

Hinata Hyuga was trapped. Her relationship with Toneri was leading to nowhere and she wanted to find a new Dom. Naruto Uzumaki seemed to be the answer to all her prayers, but her fiancé wouldn't give up that easily…

There was a time in my life where I would go onto AO3 every. single. day. hoping for an update on this, and by the grace of the author, it’s been recently updated. (July 29, 2022)

Again, the tags would either frighten or intrigue you. It’s definitely not for everyone (there’s one-sided sasuhina in this) but everything that might sway you is what’s going to keep you reading. The fluff is tooth-rotting. The tension is gripping. The smut in this is what 50 shades wanted to be. 

The author included warnings for very explicit scenes so I think you can just skip over those if you need to.

👻 Have you written holiday-themed fics? If yes, which is your fave? If not, what’s one holiday you’d want to write for, and which character(s) would the fic be for?

I guess I've written two fics that could be Holiday themed. Consume which is a NaruHina smut oneshot about Vampire!Hinata. Technically I don't mention Halloween or anything, but it was inspired during that time.

The other is The Rinne Festival which is a NaruIno fluff oneshot about the Rinne Festival from Naruto, which I sort of made into a hybrid of Christmas and a typical Japanese summer festival, which my knowledge comes from manga/anime lol. I was even going to write a scene about Naruto and Ino wearing yukata's and flirting but after doing some minor research realized those are summer time wear, and the fic I wrote takes place in the winter, basically Christmas, so I scraped that part.

Between the two I prefer Consume, I was just hitting on all cylinders when I wrote that. I wrote The Rinne Festival for an event and rushed it more than I would have liked to meet the deadline.

🤔 What’s one genre you’ve never written that you’d like to try?

A psychological horror fic, maybe not exactly horror, but I like the idea of making the bijuu something more sinister and corrupting, so it makes Naruto ill just to interact with Kurama.

funny, we had nh fair idea + plans wayyy back feb 2022.

it was supposedly for nh week (april) but considering we just finished nhmonth2021 and sunshine siblings week (jan) we thought creators needed a creativity break.

we were also considering the possibility that someone might host nhmonth2022 around may. bc last year, we had a backlash setting nhmonth2021 in december. some ppl told us it's overshadowing hinata's birth month and told us to move it around november instead or may since they told us it's naruhina's wedding month. but our main concern was for the participants bc they were the ones needed more time to prepare their entries for we announced it last september.

this year, that one anon ask ignited this to happen.

tbh i was hesitant at first to host again bc of last year's experience. it was fun but it was quite nerve-wracking bc i thought no one will participate considering there were ppl boycotting nhmonth2021. i was afraid it may happen again. very grateful for ate @quirrrky uplifting my spirit to continue hosting this event.

this year's celebration was a BLAST

i literally had the time of my life.

i did mention earlier that i experienced emotional stressed. it's bc of some internal fandom conflict but it wasn't related to the event. but some misinformation happened and the event was thrown in between, so i had to put myself in the situation and mediate. i didn't expect to be this emotionally attached to this fandom. i don't like seeing my mutuals fighting and it was quite hard for me to deal w the situation. it somehow got into me and derailed my momentum, so i took a break.

very grateful for all the entries bc it has kept me going every day. my heart swells w pride and joy seeing everyone's work. i enjoyed seeing and reading each one knowing the creator put their heart and soul into making it for naruhina. i wish i could express myself better w words and tell everyone i truly feel. i just hoped u feel our gratitude and our love and respect through our thank u cards.

i also loved seeing ppl commenting to the creator's post. sending their love. some got inspired to write or draw based on ones entry. i also love seeing ppl giving ideas according to a specific prompt and maybe someone will took inspiration from it.

how i wish i could have more entries. i only have 12 prepared before the event started. i wanted to draw the remaining days on the same day to challenge myself like i did last year, but i failed this year lmao. i was also anticipating some random things to happen that may inspire me to make art.

well, it turns out it did. one for the dilf thread and one from my crazy interactions w ate @bornonthebreakofdawn and @keycipo. i was just innocently scrolling through twitter, i did not expect to see that underwear huhuhuhu. i always send ate born anything naruto related and when i saw that post, i immediately sent it to her. didn't expect senny's posts abt giving naruto little hats. then suddenly both random ideas merged KLASHFKASHFSALKFA IT WAS CRAZY. i was smiling the entire day. i wasn't expecting @wickermayne to join in and write something too hahaha thank u sm for that wonderful, smutty fic. it was such a treat!

my total entry count is 16 but i have +2 more pending bc it's a collab w @keycipo. +2 more i didn't release; one is i decided to delayed posting for personal purposes. the second felt like it didn't fit the prompt. but i'll post these soon at the right time.

suddenly without any sounds, a tight weight settled on his wrist that caught him off guard- almost losing his balance as he's about to go to his another class, thinking it was one of his friend he grumbled and used his other hand to grasp this soft wrist (?) who's holding him like there's no tomorrow before he turned his heel to face this specific person disrupting his walk- "what the hell kiba—"

but for the not so first time, naruto was again, infact wrong.

So sorry for anyone that may be offended by this, rest assured I am a Hinata multishipper and love NaruHina as well, but I just noticed there is like 0 GaaHina fanfics that fulfill this niche. So here it is.

Idk if anyone has said this before but I just wanna thank you and some Naruhina writers for writing/exploring the morally gray and dark themes in NH fics. We don’t see that a lot bc NH is usually fluffy and I love it but other times I just want stories like Butterfly, Prey, Secrets of the Hidden Leaf, A Cure for Love,etc.

So thank you for writing them! I love that you don’t shy away from it. I always look forward to any stories you put out. Like the recent one and that one shot where Hinata is grieving from a loss and gets drunk and meets an equally broken Naruto. Or your fluffy ones where Naruto want to surprise Hinata on Mother’s Day while the kiddos help. Or when you explore poly relationship between Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke. There’s not a lot of fic of these trio so I appreciate that you write them!

Honestly your power to switch in making us hella sad, hella horny, and hella happy needs to be studied😩🫦🫰🏾 love it!!

Awww, thank you!!! I feel the same, I love NaruHina fluff, but I wish more fics would branch out beyond just that. Or even better, keep the fluff but add the other morally questionable, soul rending darkness along side it. Like, I need flavor, I need some variety, I need stories that are gonna make me experience the full scale of my human emotions; from dark to light, high to low, wtf to omg yes! 😂

The sterility be killing me 😭 but luckily I'm seeing more NaruHina writers dabbling in the dark arts and I am behind all of you 1000000%, thank you for bringing us some color in this fandom!

Lol, my ass be running head first into the chaos for sure. From my first fanfic ever, I decided I wasn't gonna shy away from anything. Life is beautiful, but life is ugly af too, you're getting the whole range with me. I'm not much of a tip-toer for a lot of topics. It is what it is and I make no apologies. I want my readers to be happy, sad, horny, annoyed, enraged, devastated, uncomfortable and offended reading my stories. I want readers to experience LIFE in my fics; good and bad, ya know?

Don't even get me started on the lack of NaruHinaSasu poly relationship fics!! 😭😭😭😭😭I hope more start cropping up and I plan on adding at least 5 more myself. I love that ship! 🥰
