Well, @heretherebedork was right: it's all Leo trying to get ahead of Fiat being hurt again.

And incredibly stupid.

(The thing is, I don't blame Leo for having hurt when Fiat was with other men even as he realised he had no claim on Fiat. And it makes perfect sense for Fiat to feel guilty about playing a part in hurting Leo for so long, even accidentally. So, while I'm pretty sure this aspect of the plot would qualify as slutshaming, it makes more sense to me than any alternative reactions?)

(The surrounding events are still stupid, but this part tracks for me.)

Oh, you know I love them- they’re so well developed with Anzu in the beginning not being sure how to handle his whole mafia family business, before she begins to get involved to help him protect his brother from his parents and them bonding to the point where she gave him her house key??? That’s true trust, giving your mafia friend a key and trusting they won’t murder you. There’s the bonus of their snarkiness and soft moments- I just,, love them, even if they’re not together- I could see them getting together at some point and it’d STILL be a cute relationship.

Anzu’s verdict: 💔

I mean, he bites me all the time, we co-parent racoons, I can only imagine we’d both be in more trouble if we actually dated- plus, I’d have to meet his parents, and with what their job is: both me and Elliot would have to prepare to be the leaders of a criminal family and I don’t think either of us want that.” She wouldn’t actually mind that much, but the reasons not to were important and she knew Elliot wouldn’t want her involved more than she already is.

Natsume and Anzu have a cute relationship- he’s canonly incredibly worried about her health to the point where from the moment he was introduced, he wanted to ensure she was alright ( minievents eh ) and even though she brushes off his flirting, they do seem to have a good relationship with her scolding him, wanting to have a sleepover with him and the rest of the class. I like em.

Anzu’s verdict:  ❤❤
