It’s so cliche since everyone has been on the going home bandwagon, but I may be the next one to take a little break. My mom and her husband invited me to go spend some time with them in Colorado and can’t really think of any reason why a weekend trip would be a bad idea. Her husband seems pretty cool so maybe getting to know him better isn’t the worst idea in the world.

So me and @harleyislive are gonna be heading to Texas on Saturday, then roadtripping back here, and if I don’t leave him by the side of the road somewhere in Arizona, I’ll be real surprised. Listen. When your tattoo artist instructs you not to pick your tattoo once it starts to scab, no matter how tempting it may be, no matter how much it itches or how much it’s just begging you to go dig your nails all up in there, you listen to your tattoo artist. Or you buy coconut oil and just keep covering it in that whenever you have the urge to touch it. I just had to do a touch-up of this sick piece I did the other week, and I’m so sad because the first time around was a total masterpiece! I mean, it looks fine now too, but come on, kiddos. Listen to us.

Also, who’s going to let me ink them? I’m feeling creative right now, so throw your design ideas my way and I’ll totally make them a reality. Just don’t pick them after. But it’s my birth-month, which means y’all have to humor me.

So for Mother’s day I was planning on calling my mom and talking to her for awhile, but she ended up facetiming me early that morning. She woke me up actually. I was like half asleep talking to my mom and trying to be quiet cause someone was still sleeping next to me. Then Regan woke up and my mom saw movement in the corner of the screen and insisted I show her whoever was with me. And after introducing Regan as a friend who needed a place to stay cause her apartment had a busted pipe, she had the nerve to ask for embarrassing pictures of me. I mean, can you believe that. Smh. Anyways, if you didn’t get to see your mom yesterday I hope you at least got to talk to her. And I hope everyone’s off to a good week.

It’s a Sunday which means that I’m going to be spending it at home, relaxing. I might need some new Netflix suggestions, I dunno. I’ve already made myself pretty comfy on the couch with Queenie, I even let myself skip my morning jog. I might come to regret that, but I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Weddings always get me in my feelings, but in the best way possible. Shout out to @lovelylilolita for being my date and for dancing with me all night long, as well as take care of my drunk ass. So at the massive risk of being cliche I think it’s about time to do those introduction things that people do when they move somewhere new. Things are finally all set up - never packing that much again - and I’m reasonably happy with the aesthetic of my new environment so that’s cool. With that, I’m Mia Karofsky, KrazyK if anyone is into the clubbing DJ shitty home mixes scene and may have seen my work, and pretty stoked to be here.

PSA, from your friendly neighborhood veteran, Memorial Day is NOT, I repeat not just a ‘long weekend’ or an excuse to have a cookout, I know, crazy right?

Lemme give you a little history lesson; 

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. ... Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. 

So, be respectful-- light a candle in remembrance, or you know-- just treat Monday like a Monday, if you’re one of those folks that don’t agree with the whole army thing, totally okay 

BUT, if you want to volunteer, I’ll be working in L.A for the day with a non profit that organizes this huge dinner for families of fallen heros, to celebrate their lives, so if you wanna hop on that with Xavier and I, Im more than okay taking my mom van with some people.

So I was at the doc office, routine checkup and whatnot, and mentioned getting frequent headaches, figuring it’s probably stress or dormant superpowers finally activating, you know the usual. After a bunch of tests and struggling not to check Web MD to freak myself out, I get a call from the nurse. Sadly, no superpowers but apparently I do need reading glasses. I can practically hear my Pops’ “’it’s ‘cause you’re always starin’ at that dang phone’ lecture from here.
