Argo had been.. frankly manic.. the past month. Depressive, taking risks, getting hurt.. coming back and- uh, the situation surrounding it, has clearly caused him stress.

You were.. a bit worried when you couldn't find Argo in his room. You searched, but it didn't take long to hear his screaming.

You find Argo tearing up the training room, wielding a.. hammer. Huh. That's new- something he's gotten from the weapons rack. Not his normal dagger.

He doesn't notice your enterance- set on destroying the dummy in front of him.

Muse: Javier Borbón (Carlos Sainz FC), 30, Driver for Jaguar TCS Racing Team in Formula E (Career mirrors Mitch Evans).

Despite a chaotic quali, Javier had pulled off a perfect first race to the new Formula E season. Now that he was back home from São Paulo, he was eager to see his favorite person and, hopefully, follow through on asking them to finally step out in public as more than friends. As an avid golfer, bicyclists, and boxer, it shouldn't have surprised anyone that he would plan an outdoor date. One of the perks of his job, luckily, was that he could buy privacy. Renting out an entire rooftop put-put facility, he swung by their place to pick them up. Once they'd settled in his car, he looked over at them with his megawatt smile. "Don't ask where we're going. Es una sorpresa."

i've been quiet and doing a lot of resting up and healing... playing games, watching stuff, and also chattering away on discord. consider me on a sorta soft hiatus as i sleep and sleep and yap my days away!! i will try loading up my queue with ic stuff before i make an official return <3

Ok fuck it. Fuck it I need to rant. I'm disappointed to the high heavens. This just looks like X and Y again. It just looks like they finally bothered to get off their asses and make Pokémon Z like everyone begged for 10+ years ago and they're trying to relabel it as a Legends game. You know what the word "legend" means? It means OLD!!! It's a fantastical tale of days long past! PAST! NOT FUTURE! Why are we in the future!!! There are no legends about the damn future, only the past!!!

How cool would it have been if we were in the Pokémon equivalent of Napoleonic France? If the protagonist was from a lower-middle-class family (maybe even lower, a genuinely struggling protagonist would be interesting, especially within this time period), who set out with their Pokémon to earn money to help out, only to end up caught in the middle of a nationwide shitstorm? What if you ventured throughout the region, through the beaches and mountains and beautiful French/Kalosian countryside, all the way to Paris/Lumiose, where the societal rot is at its most obvious and damning? What if the "evil team" wasn't evil at first, just a band of revolutionaries with their hearts in the right place, seeking change and justice for the broke and starving public against the laziness and corruption of the self-absorbed elite? What if the villain was the king at first, because he and the other royals really are as awful as they're stated to be? What if there were (optional, because not everyone was against the French monarchy) side quests to help spread revolutionary propaganda or help the rebels earn money, gather resources, toughen up their Pokémon in preparation for future battles against the royals? Hell, what if there was a rival group of royalists who acted as the rebels' foil, whom you can also help and hinder as much or as little as you liked?

What if there was an honest-to-God violent coup where people and Pokémon stormed the royal palace and destroy everything in sight (and you could be there, battling guards or something)? What if the king was challenged to a battle and lost miserably, proving once and for all how weak and pathetic he is, and thus overthrown and exiled (can't execute him, this franchise is too cowardly to evolve past being milquetoast kiddie shit)? What if the rebel leader, with his dear Empoleon beside him, took his place and crowned himself emperor right then and there, to the overwhelming joy of his followers and sympathizers, dismay of his opponents, and whatever it is the player chooses to feel, because there should be a genuine undercurrent of historical, political and philosophical discussion about all of this throughout the story that encourages us to form our own thoughts and opinions about the situation?

Only for the rebel leader, the Napoleon figure, to turn out worse than the king ever was, and his close subordinates immediately going mad with their newfound power and practically destroying the country. Then they really ARE the evil team for real this time, because they became the tyrants they sought to destroy, and depending on the player's past actions, it might partially be their fault that they succeeded. Imagine the Pokémon equivalent of the fucking Reign of Terror. People and Pokémon being attacked, imprisoned, exiled (again, they're too chickenshit to kill people. Tens of thousands died during the REAL Reign of Terror). Imagine your new mission going from trying to flee Lumiose and go home (only to fail, because they won't let anyone leave outside of being formally exiled out of fear/paranoia about uncontrolled dissidents) to taking an active role against the new regime, battling police to bust innocents out of jail, reuniting families and friends torn apart by fear and force? Imagine a heated battle against the stand-in for Maximilien Robespierre to help put an end to the madness!!! What if you went to libraries and picked up newspapers and listened to the telegraph and discovered everything has been censored in some way? What if you went into houses and found depressed wives and mothers and sisters and daughters, and opened letters from the men in their families (and their Pokémon, too) who were conscripted into the Kalosian army because the Emperor is trying to wage wars against neighboring regions to fulfill territorial ambitions (which actually did happen, Napoleon's France was constantly at war, which majorly tanked the economy because all the men were sent off to die or be horrifically injured. Remember when they tried to invade Russia? Over half a million troops went, barely 1/6 of them came back)? The climax of the story + defeat of the Emperor in battle can be a nod to the Battle of Waterloo!!! The post-game can have the player looking for runaway rebels like how you hunted for the Sages in post-game Black and White! What if there was a limited time mystery gift event where you could win a ferry ticket to the island the former Emperor is imprisoned on, JUST LIKE THE ACTUAL NAPOLEON, and there was a final cutscene between you and him where you discuss everything that happened and he asserts that he did what he had to and he still believes that he was acting in Kalos's best interest!!! Because many of the revolutionaries really did think that way, they believed they were doing right by France!!! Even when they jailed and murdered thousands of innocent people!!!

But no, we don't get cool shit like that, we get AZ running a fucking inn for whatever reason and an "urban redevelopment plan" that's literally just "let the Pokémon trash half the city with zero repercussions or any consideration for the homes and businesses in the areas they overrun". What the fuck man

While the chaos was brewing over, Ash hasn't forgotten the sweet little list of special requests from a certain somebody just a day before things went south. While he wasn't allowed to leave anytime soon to do full runs, he might be able to ask for quick trips nearby, certain he can scavenge at least a portion of what June wanted. But if not and this has to wait, he might as well help plan and bulk up the list into something more substantial (not that he'd ever tell June hers so not substantial).

Ash poked his head around the floor until he found who he was looking for, "hey, Hannah?" Calling out from the door to the media room, Ash waited a beat for approval before coming inside, explaining himself, "June, and Birdie, had wanted a few things to see if we can find them during supply runs, and I thought it might be good to get your opinion as well, on what the kids need." He amusingly showed the adorable handwritten list from June, but after discussing with Zach, might as well check what else they might need, and who better to ask than one of the girls' mother?

I think I found a new love for thinking and designing my character's weapons to make them as relevant to their story.

considering the book I'm writing is a character driven story, I should have found the love for that a long time ago, but figuring out weapons is hard as shit.

for Kim it was clear as day tho, considering she is a Shielded Soul "sky blessed" with the power to control the wind, a set of fighting fans were a no brainer for her.

anyway, this is going to be Kamari's first year in art fight, so excuse me for not putting het on my art fight (foggy_froggy) page yet, I still need to make her page an all that jazz📻

Nolybab was always a place that Kyung had mixed feelings towards, and even after scouting the streets of such a metropolis on missions, she never knew what to expect from it at times. However, the day had gone accordingly thus far, with only a few odd encounters with the locals due to how she stuck out among the many khanzumer-class inhabitants. Although, it worked to her advantage since her whole facade relied on being nothing but a frequent tourist to Mudos; and just like any typical foreigner going sightseeing, the Jimseomi looked like she was doing nothing but roaming around and sightseeing. Rather than being dressed in her usual all-black and rather tattered field attire, Kyung wore a much more trendy red ensemble as her disguise. All she had to do was not give away too much, stay walking on her two back legs no matter how much she wanted to sprint on all sixes, and act natural.

During that day, the Jimseomi had picked a popular spot to visit in order to take pictures, and gather more information on it. At the forefront, her thoughts were on her objective, as they normally were. On the other hand, ever since she had her phone call with Pat about him being in the Nolybab area, the impulse to look around for any signs of the dancer persisted wherever she went.

This was exactly what Angel had been afraid of. This was exactly why he didn't want to go back to the hotel and face the music, to own up to his abhorrent behaviour in the name of doing the right thing. In one fell swoop, he had found himself shunned by the only people he truly considered family, and he couldn't stand it. He deserved it, he knew damn well he deserved it - but that didn't make it any easier to swallow.

He could live without Vox's forgiveness. He suspected he would - being framed for drugging and assaulting someone wasn't exactly the kind of thing that could be patched up with an apology. He could live with Charlie's bare-faced disappointment, with Alastor's hatred; he could choke it all down, soothed in the knowledge that he had it coming.

But Husk?

Husk was Angel's solace, his sliver of something real in a world that worshipped who they wanted him to be. Husk loved him for who he was underneath it all, every flaw and blemish, every dark secret and every terrible truth.

Almost. Not every.

Not anymore.

Now, Husk wouldn't even look at him. Angel reminded himself that he had been the one to insist he and Husk talk this out after he had shown up at the hotel following his two-week disappearance. Having confessed his sins to the audience of his horrified friends, he needed time alone with Husk to fully explain, to conjure up something that excused his actions and exonerated him from blame. He could win Husk's favour again if he just gave him the context, the details, the nitty-gritty of all his reckless and heartless behaviour. Angel could talk his way out of anything.

He stared at Husk in silence.

What could he say? Sorry I blamed a grieving man for a violent crime just so I wouldn't get caught using? Sorry I didn't tell you that I was grieving Valentino, I feel lost without him? Sorry I cheated on you with Vox, it's just he's the only link I still have to Val? Sorry I stole from Charlie and lied about being sober and slept around with strangers, sorry I didn't tell you I was in withdrawal from Val's pheromone, sorry I didn't tell you that I actually loved the man whose death you thought I was celebrating?

It was ridiculous. It was futile, he couldn't say all that, it was ludicrous to even try. It was messy and ugly and Husk should wash his hands of it, of him. If he had any sense, he would.

And yet, Angel couldn't bear to let him. Arms crossed over his body as though he were hiding behind them, he gazed stubbornly at his shoes. Get them before they get you. Tell him you're through with him.

Fuck, he couldn't do that either. What could he do? Why the fuck did he ask Husk if they could talk? He had nothing to say.

Scowling, he bit his lip as hot, angry tears pricked the inner corners of his eyes. There was no saving this. He had to take it on the chin.

"Are you finishin' with me?" he muttered, eyes still fixed on the floor. "Cuz, uh, might help ta know we're ova' before I do the whole beggin' yer forgiveness thing. Save us both the headache."

With a goofy grin on his face, Paul stepped out of his shower and shook out his dark curls like some sort of wet dog. When he wiped of his phone he saw the notification from them immediately. That grin melted into a smirk as he prepared to send pictures or invite them back over. The message he found instead had him shaking with laughter. Hitting the FaceTime button, he propped his phone up on the bathroom counter, unabashed as he prepared to give them a show and tell them that he was only marking his territory and that he'd do it again tonight if they wanted.
