He tries to be so suave about how he's pulling you in, like it's some genius master plan of which he's pulling the strings behind the scenes. But, let's be honest with ourselves here, it's just kind of patchetic. If he's truly as charming as he attempts to portray himself, why would he even have to hypnotise to you in the first place? It's absolutely a 'him issue. Because even if you were to fall for him hook, line and sinker, prostrating yourself in utter adoration every day, he'd still put so-called 'safeguards' in place.

Vox would prefer to start with some smaller triggers. Sure, it'd be possible to have you immediately believe you're in love with him... But that doesn't feel like it's a victory well-earned. It leaves a bad taste in his mouth. Instead, he starts more subtle, leaving triggers through temporarily taking over the screen of your phone.

You think your screen is just glitching out for a moment when it flickers from red to white for a couple of seconds. What you don't know is that you simply don't remember the message left for you in between. He'll plant a seed in your mind, something small, like making you think of him every time you see the colour blue. To you, the association between him and the colour doesn't even register, so, perhaps you'll start to wonder as to why you're thinking about him so often- Perhaps you'll start thinking you have feelings for him.

He'll put you in a trance while you're around your friends or your partner, all because you do something as simple as checking your phone for directions. You end up coming to, alone, vague memories of snapping at your friends and saying horrible things to them flickering through your mind... But why would you do that? It doesn't make any sense! You hadn't been upset at all. But yet, you'd done it, and you keep pushing away everyone around you further and further.

You start to become paronoid, starting to lose your trust in your perception of reality. Memories start slipping through your fingers like sand, and you return to your senses to a long string of texts to nearly all of your contacts, that ends with you blocking them. You know you're in Hell, but your life was already shitty enough. This seems to be a bit too much. You think you're losing your mind.

Of course, it's when you are about your absolute lowest point when sweet, sweet Vox swoops in to save you from yourself. Perhaps you can't trust yourself any longer, but you can trust him... Can't you? A mere snap of his fingers is all that it takes to have you mindlessly nodding along.

once again, the time has come where more videos have been uploaded with the internets favourite youtube couple. and you know what that means? more compilations of them together with even more worthy moments.

the first video had blew up, making the publisher wanting to make more content about the pair. and boy did they get their fun when “the group” had uploaded several new videos on their website. so now we buckle up, and get ready to watch the second best video of cuteness.

bigt and y/n being the it couple, part two; a continuation.

the group had gone to japan for a trip and we’re currently walking through the entrance of japans nintendo world. yumi and nick were talking to the camera about a water ride when the footage zooms in on tanner excitedly talking about something behind the boys. he was moving his hands and walking sideways all the keep his eyes on y/n, who was watching him with a big smile and nodding their head to his words.

the video cuts to the group walking together when larry asks nick to buy him bowser. “wait, i want bowser too” tanner says.

“if you’re bowser can i be your peach?” y/n grins. tanner looks at them confused. “that way you can keep me all to yourself!” they say with a teasing tone. larry laughs, having being beside them, and tanner slides an arm over their shoulders.

“i already have you all to myself.” he flaunts proudly.

the group had split off into two groups, but thankfully tanner and y/n were still together. their group had bought turkey legs to eat as a starter meal to fill their empty stomachs. the camera panned to show tanner holding the leg to y/n’s mouth, to which they took a simple bite out of the side. chewing, they took the leg from tanner and did the same. holding their hand under the leg incase any dropped from tanner’s large bite, he thanked them with a simple kiss to the hand.

“the waterfall is so pretty” y/n said to the camera as the group stopped to eat. “i would love to live here and experience more that japan has to offer. it is so beautiful.” they ranted as they were filmed. without notice, tanner had came in and wrapped his arms around their shoulders from behind, pressing their back into him. he brought his turkey leg back up to their mouth, which they accepted with a smile and pat on the forearm.

“eat up, pretty thing. cant have you fainting on us, can we?”

“the only reason i’d be fainting is from your love overload, silly.”

“omg, they have a peach hat!” y/n said excitedly, having remembered the conversation from earlier. although tanner ended up getting a luigi hat to match with nick, y/n was thrilled to get a hat of their own.

“how do i look?” they asked the guys as they put the hat on. the guys all nodded their head and told them it was definitely their hat.

“here baby, i’ll but it for you.” tanner suggested quietly but loud enough for the camera to pick up. he took the hat without hesitation and brought it to the cash. y/n smiled with red cheeks as tanner brought the hat back and placed it gently upon their head. tucking away any loose hairs and snugging it on the best he could, he backed away. “man this is cute!” he happily pulled out his phone and took a photo.

(he ended up posting it on twitter captioned; cant wait to take princess peach home with me)

“today we’re playing hide and seek and a 5 million dollar mansion. nick is the seeker, we’re all hiding, we have 30 seconds, we gotta go now!”

y/n had agreed to be in the groups hide and seek video and fans couldn’t be more happier with it. the video was just starting, and members were already running away as nick started counting. from y/n’s camera, it is seen that tanner grabs their hand and brings them along with him, wanting to stay together.

as they run inside, tanner leads them upstairs. “it’s me and you baby!” opening a door leading to almost nothing. y/n’s laugh can be heard as they usher him up the stairs to find a new hiding spot.

in the process, tanner, larry and y/n ended up together and had sat down on the fancy couch to turn on bluey. sadly, the trio couldn’t watch as there was no disney plus account. y/n laid back, gathering all their stamina for the next few hours. tanner’s go pro suddenly has turned black, and from y/n’s perspective, you can see tanner laying down on y/n’s chest already played out.

“tanner, i love you, but I just heard somebody and we gotta go” they say, patting his head as he groans.

“don’t be scared baby, I’ll protect you!”

the pair were running down the stairs, hoping not to get caught before tanner had rounded a corner and ran straight into nick. tanner’s recation was quicker than his feet, letting himself scream before getting tagged and yelling, “y/n, run! save yourself!”

y/n didn’t need to hear it twice before running off, not before shouting “I’ll avenge you, sugar! i’ll be back for you!” they could hear tanner screaming in defeat has he walked to the couches to be met with the rest of the out players.

y/n ran upstairs the the blue room and wiped their hand on their sweaty forehead. they set the camera down, panting as they took off tanner’s sweater. “fuck chat, tanner’s out.” they heaved. “I don’t even know where the guns are, i want my man back i miss him.” they pouted.

(how dare softwilly split the pair up, outrages!)

it wasn’t more than minutes later when grunk and a nerf gun, ready to get nick frozen and y/n had a tennis ball. they ran the opposite way of the two, and quickly ran the ball to the couches. “guys! i’ve got a ball!”

“that’s my baby!” tanner yelled standing up and picking y/n up by the waist. he spun them around once before setting them down on the floor. “way to go, hot shot!” they high-fived. as y/n was running away once again, tanner landed a small smack on their ass as a congratulations. from the room, y/n can hear yumi yelling.

“oh gross, get a room!”

“gladly” y/n winks to the camera.

y/n’s time running had stopped when she noticed nick going after grunk. they made a decision and ran next to nick, getting themselves out for grunk.

“you just got yourself out!” nick shouted, confused. y/n laughed, along with grunk who thanked them and ran. nick looked back and forth between to two before running up the stairs. “i’ll be back for an explanation, y/n!”

y/n took a deep breath and looked at their camera, “anything for grunk” before walking slowly to the couches. there, they saw tanner sitting down on a single chair and out of no where, plopped on his lap.

tanner grunted, “you out?” to where y/n nodded. tanner couldnt even be upset as he got to have his partner back. he gave them a squeeze and a kiss on the cheek, quietly whispering how good they did. it was safe to say the couple was ready for a long nap after filming.

when the next round started, tanner was talking to the camera about their new skill. the pair had taken off their shoes to appear more quieter to the seeker. y/n high fives him for his smart idea.

they had ran upstairs into a bathroom, where a tennis ball was sitting in the sink. “oh tanner, look” y/n whisper shouted, pointing at the ball. “you take it, sugar”

tanner gratefully took the ball and thanked y/n. “i want you to be our reason we win, we’re gonna find you all the tennis balls we can!” y/n says happily, pointing their camera at tanner. he was over the moon with their response, and for his, he leaned in for a passionate, small kiss.

from there, the cameras cut to the pair making silly faces in the bathroom mirror, which were taken as photos and posted on instagram.

although they didn’t win, and both got out, y/n had an amazing time with their friends and tanner. as they filmed the outtro, y/n handed tanner a bottle of water. he guzzled it down and tiredly leaned his head on y/n’s. they wrapped an arm around his hips, keeping him up and they all said goodbye.

the main video ends with self promotion, concluding the second part to worthy moments. fans never thanked the publisher enough over the second video, loving every crumbs they get of the couple.

-a small part of me believes that a bree vs shadow king battle is probably in the fourth book butttttt a nick vs shadow king, or sel vs shadow king is possible depending on who reaches there first. i do feel like nick would somehow find out that erebus is not erebus by maybe his newly found abilities and knowledge, so maybe nick vs shadow king is inevitable.

Omg thank you for asking!!! :D I've written a little about the series here and here, but I'll discuss more below! Specifically Reader and Jade's relationship! (please forgive me for rambling. orz)

Originally, their relationship was going to be complete strangers! The early concept for DRU was a story that followed serial killer Jade as he looks for his next victim at speed-dating events (like a charming wolf eel in sheep’s skin). At one particular event, he meets Reader and the two of them click. From there he decides he’ll make her his next meal.

This was a concept I quite liked and it almost became the foundation for the story. But the more I considered it, I realized it might feel like a hollow plot without much dimension if it focused solely on Reader and Jade. I kept thinking, someone out there has to care enough for (Name) to want to look for her, right? The world may be stagnant when she’s trapped in Jade’s home, but beyond that it will inevitably continue. So surely someone will notice she’s missing. I want to portray that side, too.

Additionally, I wanted to write a story where readers can care about and root for the MC’s successes while actively hoping for Jade’s failure. I thought it would hurt more if Reader was on friendly terms and knew Jade before the kidnapping. It is said that many kidnappings are often someone you know rather than a stranger, so I thought it would be interesting to explore Reader’s fear and betrayal as she realizes her “friend” was never a true friend to begin with! And with this I considered dynamics and relationships outside of the main pairing (Jade x Reader). In the early plot, Reader wasn’t acquainted with any of the Octavinelle trio, but I eventually changed this factor when I began to write the improved version of the plot (which would also include the slow burn elements).

The early plot looked something like this: serial killer Jade kidnaps (Name) after connecting at a speed-dating event -> (Name) is terrified and lies about being pregnant to survive -> many terrifying things happen -> death of (Name) -> Jade gets to feast. Initially, I was content with this plot because it was sickening and thrilling, but it felt like something was missing. ^^;;; I worked hard to rewrite many aspects of the plot until it became a completely different version from my original imagining of it. :O

I thought it would be fun if Azul had an involvement with Reader. At first I wondered if they should be in a genuinely romantic relationship, but I liked the tension of a fwb situation much more. I like that Reader’s able to use Azul as her scapegoat in this situation. His presence is as useful as it is burdensome in her life. >:) it’s a transactional relationship that will make you wonder if there’s actual love there or just lust in disguise! Also, how else could Azul pull off his fake proposal if it was a real relationship without any strings attached? I really wanted to write a scene like that, but it would be more tense if Reader was constantly walking the tightrope of love or not love! Their relationship feels like the deep sea to me. What you see in the story isn’t even part of it. So much has yet to be explored… :)

As for Cater and Riddle, they were added as an afterthought. When I sat down to write the first chapter in summer of 2022, my mind blanked and I had no idea how to begin. Prior to plotting DRU, I was working on a wip in which Reader works part-time at a diner with Cater and Riddle. That (now abandoned) wip is where The Devil’s Delight comes from (as well as the Cater/Riddle/Reader friendship)! I was so attached to the aesthetic and the dynamics between the trio that I couldn’t just let it wither away into oblivion. So I worked it into DRU’s plot. It fit wonderfully with my vision, and so I could write smoothly from there! As a result of that, I’m very fond of DRU’s first chapter. :D it sets the mood I was hoping to convey perfectly!

Here are some notes from the (abandoned) wip that made it into DRU (aside from that note about the Mostro Lounge hehe):

I wanted Reader to have unique relationships with each of the side characters (not just Jade), as well as the characters themselves to have interactions with one another. I like portraying two sides of a thrilling crime story such as this one. There are plenty of exciting things planned, and a lot of relationship lore is set to be unveiled gradually. I hope you can look forward to it!!!! ( ´ ▽ ` )❤︎

It's hard to narrow it down to a digestible size, but in my little HC expansion on Grey, I really love how he makes and maintains his relationships with others.

From my own interpretation of his canon content I get the feeling he's just someone who tries to find moments of relatablility with those around him, especially those he cares about. In my own writing, that's looked like bonding over a shared hobby, teaching someone a skill (or sharing knowledge of said skill), encouraging via shared past experiences, or looking for new opportunities to gain said shared experiences together.

For someone seemingly very busy, it's really important imo that he makes those connections with the people around him in whatever ways he can. It's not like the poor man has all the hang out time in the world, and we know they don't get weekends and holidays guaranteed like a regular job- so fighting for those moments of relatablility to connect with others (in sometimes rather esoteric and unique ways) is definitely one of my favorite parts of HC lore-expanded Greyson.

Even more so when thinking about him romantically and how he flirts??? Like normal men would just tell you they think you're cute and maybe they want to take you out sometime. But Grey? No no.

Grey found out your grandmother used to make these particular cookies growing up and you no longer have the recipe. All you remember is they tasted like shortbread, looked pinkish, and had raspberries in the dough. Cue this man spending 4 of his non-consecutive days off scouring the internet baking forums for ideas, trying out recipes, and finally getting something he THINKS is close, just so he can go "oh hey, so I made these yesterday when I was thinking about those cookies you were talking about." Like he just ~happened upon them~ all so he can watch your face light up when you say "oh my gosh these are PERFECT!"

I also adore the teasing. I admit that one is sooooo self fulfillment because anyone who can go tit-for-tat with me on the daily is just my kind of person, and way he just "You know nothing John" at the intern made me laaaaaugh. He probably didn't even mean it to be funny, but the later follow-up of him laughing so hard he almost got carted off to psych? Like, please, his sense of humor is so ridiculous I neeeeed him. I can't imagine him without the teasing and banter anymore if I'm being honest 😅 just lighthearted, friendly ribbing- nothing mean or harsh.

Couples that can joke around with each other in the most loving and wholesome ways are just UGHHHH I LOVE THEM 😩🥺 and I just see Grey being the perfect half to a couple like that.

i have two unfinished acotar vampire au fics that are kind controversial...

The first one is just a one shot I posted from a bigger (but with many things i didn't think about yet) story in my head: it is just nesta drinking blood from eris, he is chained in her basement, she calls him blood bag, then baths him and before leaving the basement she tucks him in a blanket because it is cold....

The second one I stopped writing, it is also a vampire au but kinda different from the first one, i wanted to make dark archeron sisters and especially an older feyre that wouldn't be easily influenced by an 500 yo, and also like a dark fic kinda tragedy... It has the vampire thing starting as a virus that affects only humans, and they fed best from faerie blood. The contamination starts in early book one, when tamlin sends Andras the humans are already contaminated/early vampires, and feyre does shot him an arrow but she bites him and he is back to his normal form, yet she doesn't kills him, she brings him home and her family plus the entire village starts biting him (in this one vampire also can eat faerie flesh and be fed, they are also kinda the anti-magic like so faeries poisoned temporaly looses their powers); and humans starts to develop some technology and the fucked up part also starts bc like, with Andras' death by not feyre but an entire village (the bite that took his life was from a men so tamlin couldn't simply go there and take anyone as even there were women "helping" to kill andras it was them who directly killed him, idk if it is clear sorry) amarantha won, then she finds out what rhysand was hiding from her and gets mad... And like, in this one he is miserable miserable, no plan, no master mind beyond suffering like the book is written even as there was r/p thing, here he lost...

O: omg... loaded question. i'm definitely a multi-shipper at heart (aside from the otp/ot3), so the line between actually shipping and just going "hmm. NICE" is pretty blurry for me.

you could consider zoluna an underappreciated ship simply because there are only 20 fics on ao3 for them, although thankfully platonic romance dawn trio does get a lot of love from the fandom.

i also love nami/wanda and nami/wanda/vivi!! strong women who are weak at the knees for nami... *chef's kiss*. don't get me wrong, i adore namivivi... but neeeeed more wanda content!!

thinking outside the straw hats, i really like deuce/ace, law/bepo, and barto/cav. and especially kid/killer!!! auuugh i have so many kid/killer feelings. if zolu (and the straw hats in general) ever let me have more than 0.2 seconds of peace, i would absolutely be writing kid/killer.

LOKI/SCOTT:

Loki/Scott is such an underrated crackship and the fact they're Kang-connected gives such a great in for it. Asgardian magic + street magic, Scott's unwavering loyalty and family theming vs Loki's search for stability/love/family; the endless bickering/snark/jokes and eye rolling...idk I think there's so much potential for them to strike a great balance. Science/magic combo is always top tier and what a statement for the little guy to net himself a norse god lmao.

S2 better give us some good content for the ship stg >:U I feel like these two have such a fun dynamic and there's so much to be said for seeing someone unrelated to Loki manage to break the barrier and get him to have some sincere conversations. I feel like Loki's trust in Mobius also says a lot and they just idk they have such a fun vibe and really seem to want to help one another and I neeeeed Mobi to remember him. It's great as platonic friends but the ship is just fun and snarky and unexpected in the best ways.

Adding in an OT3 tag this time becuase LokixMobiusxSylvie is also A+. Who doesn't love a "two troublemakers and their tired partner" vibe :U
