Los Angeles, CA -- Jazzy soul trio Moonchild released their new single “The List (Acoustic)” earlier this month. Accompanying the release of the single is a visual postcard music video dedicated to the band’s time touring in the last 10 years. “The List (Acoustic)” is Moonchild’s reinterpretation of their track from the 2017 album Voyager and also showcases the way they’ve developed as a band. The minimalistic interpretation maintains their delicate snazziness whilst giving listeners a more intimate sound.

On the video, Moonchild’s Andris Mattson shares: "Reflecting on our time touring as a band, the places we've been and the ways we've grown, we wanted to represent that in the video as a visual postcard. In brainstorming, Amber came up with the idea of playing around with that old vintage U.S. National Park poster-style animation. We felt so lucky to get to work again with director Phil Beaudreau on this one. Not only is he an incredible director and animator, but he's a phenomenal musician and producer that understands each world on such a deep level. He took the bare video of us playing music in a downtown LA warehouse and transformed it into a beautifully nostalgic animated postcard of our decade as a band."
This is why I say African music is SUPREME. Although we were stripped from our countries on the continent of Africa, stripped from our cultures, stripped from our religious traditions, and stripped from our families, we created an abundance out of nothing but our souls. The chart below stops in 1992. Think of all we have created from 1992 - present.
