Shiny Like Dirt & Don't Touch Me: One Year Later

So, it's technically a few days away from now, but as of November 6th, it'll have been a full CALENDAR YEAR since I and Brian's Cheekbones/Zebradiah sifted through nearly 400,000 MP3.com links that had gone from encrypted to accessible for Ramsay Fiction tracks. Right as I saw that Shiny Like Dirt had been posted to MT's Reddit page, I made immediate contact with Zeb in the hopes that he had located a CD. Finding out that wasn't the case sucked, but I started sifting through information and resources I knew we had, like the MP3.com skeleton (which gave me more insight on a lot of things!). And then, I found it... Don't Touch Me, the song Sara Ramsay had hinted at on Twitter all those years ago when she said parts of Alibis were from an RF track. I was overjoyed and started trying my best to share it around. Eventually, Josh found out... and sent quite a nasty DM my way via Twitter, but I understood his stance on the matter. I don't agree with him on it, as I feel these songs showcase how talented he was even back then (the issue here is production quality mainly as well as lyrical clunkiness, but it's not egregious!). If anything, it made me want to dive deeper into the band's history pre Fix Me. How was it that we had a full early copy of Skin & Bones, a song recorded as an extra track after the Self-Titled EP, but not a full copy of it's sister track, "Fix Me"? Why was it that Still Angry got recorded and Shotgun never did? When did the band drop down from 5 members to only 4, and was there ever a reason given as to why? Where did the rumour that Skin & Bones was allegedly titled "Push You Up" come from? I have answers for some of these, and ideas for leads in regards to asking if anyone has demo content from this era still, but there are nerves too, as I don't know who still has connections to Josh and if the demos would even be allowed to be dumped. I've also come up with a lot of dead ends, and a lot of possible leads leading to nowhere, such as early fan sites and the OG host of Trench's original website (diepopstar.com) having no recollections on the internet anywhere and no way of finding anyone who ran it.
