Your birth was viewed as a new beginning, of sorts. The Omatikaya had gone through so much loss, so much pain in the years that the Sky People had inhabited their planet and planned to make it their own, in hopes of replacing their dying Earth with the beautiful and brutal Pandora. Many Omatikaya had lost their lives as a result of the humans greediness, leaving many orphaned and physically scarred from the destruction they caused. It was hard to see a bright future with the humans constantly taking and taking from the People and the planet they resided on. But, it seemed to get a little bit brighter once Jake Sully, the great and mighty Toruk Makto, had lead the clans to victory against the Sky People in the Great Battle. The humans had no choice but to leave the planet, finally allowing a peaceful and bright future to form itself for the Omatikaya and the rest of the Na’vi living on Pandora. Many celebrations were held in thanks to Toruk Makto’s as well as in triumph for the humans finally leaving their home after thirty years. But another one was celebrated after it was announced that Neytiri te Tsahka Mo’at’ite was with child, marking a new era for those who were succeeded after the Great Battle.  You were the new stepping stone for the bright future of the Omatikaya. An omen of good fortune to come to all of Pandora.
Being the eldest child of Toruk Makto had been difficult, especially growing up. Much was expected of you, duties upon duties being put onto your shoulders from such an early age. You had to live up to such high expectations, something that came with being the first child of Jake Sully, a once Dreamwalker, and the clans most fiercest warrior, Neytiri. Constantly training to one day stand in front of your people and be recognized not just as Toruk Makto’s kid but as their leader as well. Although you had the typical features a regular Na’vi should have, four fingers on each hand and no traces of hair on your brow bones, children are still cruel. They constantly called you names that most definitely shouldn’t be repeated, pulled on your tail and hair, spit at you, told you that you’d never be good enough to be clan leader one day, and bothered you during your trainings. You’d cry to your Sa’nok about it once you came home from training, sniffling into her neck as you repeated the awful things kids your age said to you. And even with your parents butting in and demanding the children to stop, you couldn’t help but believe the words they uttered, plagued by the possibility of them being right. So, you pushed and pushed yourself to be the best you could be. Spending whatever free time you had from archery training in your Grandmother’s tent, eager to learn what every herb did and what technique she used when applying paste onto an injured Na’vi, watching her every move. And spending whatever free time you had from that practicing your tracking skills. You did a lot to prove yourself and tried your best to look unfazed by the little amount of sleep you received daily. But as the words that you and your family had to potentially leave your home and clan, everything that you knew, spilled from your Sempul’s mouth, the only thought that came to your mind was Was it all not enough?
Adjusting to your new life at Awa’atlu was extremely difficult. You were a foreigner in a foreign place and your title meant nothing to these people. Sure you earned a little respect and street cred from being the eldest child of the Toruk Makto, but it still wasn’t enough to earn you place amongst the Metkayina. So, once again, you trained and trained until your muscles felt utterly useless from the amount you swam and your lungs felt numb from continuous breath holding. But, as every day passed and the sun rose in signal for a new start, you slowly got the grasp of the way of the water. And you actually found yourself relaxing in the oceans water as you silently floated there once you were excused from your training, a small smile on your face. It was nice to finally relax for once, the feeling a bit foreign to you. Back home, you never got a chance to relax, always busy with pleasing your parents and everyone else in the clan, leaving you without any room to simply breathe. The whole thing kind of felt like a vacation almost. No longer having this weight on your shoulders to become the next clan leader and live up to your clans expectations of you. That is, until the humans find your family in the one place you were supposed to be safe.
You grew up with the stories of the Sky People and their selfishness, how quick they were to claim something that wasn’t theirs and how quick they were to fight over it, not caring for the blood that they spilled in the process. Growing up, you’d have nightmares about the humans coming back to Pandora and slaughtering the ones you loved right in front of you, not being able to move quick enough to stop them. Your Sempul often pulled you into his arms and rocked you in comfort, trying to whisper sweet nothings into your ear as you fell asleep in his hold. He’d then lay you back down in between himself and Neytiri, placing a soft kiss onto the crown of your head before quickly falling asleep as well. As you aged, they became few and far in between, dreaming of flying your beloved ikran or messing around with your youngest siblings. But once the humans returned to Pandora a year before leaving for Awa’atlu, the came back in full force. Your family were awaken many nights by your crying or screaming, rousing you from your sleep to comfort you, sobbing into their gentle hold as the dream kept repeating in your minds eye. You were terrified of having your family be taken away from you and, perhaps, that’s where your fear of disappointment came from and not the cruel children you had encountered early on in your life. You wanted to be a protector and protect the ones you loved, and protect you did.
The sting of the salt water is what drew your attention to the middle of your aching chest, looking down to witness the crimson red leak from your body and mix itself into the clear water you were submerged in. You hadn’t even realized you were shot in the process of jumping into safety, barely even processing the whizzing bullets flying passed you as you dived feet first into the water. All you were focused on was getting your little tsmukans, Neteyam and Lo’ak, to safety during their mission to rescue their human friend, Spider. Your personal safety was the last thing on your mind, demanding that your brothers and Spider go first jumping into the moon pool, shooting back at the fake Avatars. There weren’t many times where you saved your brothers asses from the things they managed to get themselves into, that job being put onto Neteyam by your parents. So, this being one of the only times that you saved both of their asses and were going to die as a result, put a gentle smile on your face. At least I would go out protecting those you cared about, you thought to yourself.
Your struggle was noticed by Neteyam, halting him in his celebrations with Lo’ak and Spider. “Are you alright, tsmuktu?” He asked, making his way towards you as he glided through the water. His eyes didn’t clock in on your hand over your chest yet, too busy watching you nearly drown as you struggled to keep your head above water. It was as if once you registered that you were shot, your body began to shut down at the realization. Your once strong legs forged by the oceans unpredictable current were now struggling to keep yourself up and lazily kicking, your left arm desperately trying to make up for your legs inability to work at the moment, making crazed movements underneath the water to stay upright. You lungs and chest also burned, not accepting any of the air you tried to suck in from above the waters surface. “I’ve been shot, skxawng,” you uttered, spitting out the water that managed to make its way into your agape mouth. Everything burned, even within the oceans cool water.
“Fuck,” Neteyam whispered, grabbing the arm that wasn’t covering the open wound in your chest and wrapping it around his shoulder, trying not to openly sob at your cries of protest in pain. It was now Lo’ak’s turn to notice your current state. He tensed at your cry and found himself praying to the Great Mother that it wasn’t what he thought it was. Neteyam’s following statement only solidified his fear, “(Y/N)’s been shot! Help me get them up!”. Both the brothers and Spider helped you up onto the back of Lo’ak’s ilu, Neteyam settling himself behind you as Spider gripped onto the side of the ilu’s saddle. The four of you raced to the nearest piece of rock that was in direct eyesight, Lo’ak calling out to your Father once he notices him atop the rock they were aiming for. Fear had instilled itself into the younger Sully brothers, hoping that whatever was happening was not the last time you would take a breath.
“Watch their head, bro!” Lo’ak called out against the crashing waves, rocking his, and everyone’s else’s, body up against the jagged rock they were trying to hoist you up on to. You coughed up a mouthful of water in response, gasping for air once the wave that splashed you pulled back and granted you air. “What happened?” Jake hurriedly asks, pulling your body into his arms before gently setting you down onto the rough surface of the rock. He swiftly moves you to your side to assess if whether or not the bullet that pierced you also came out the other side. His heart dropped once he saw the exit wound, even more of your blood gushing out from it. Jake could only close his eyes as he gently shifted you back onto your back, dread making its way up his stomach and into his heart. Jake had witnessed a many of deaths during his time in the marines on Earth. And although he had gotten used to the feeling those deaths gave him, nothing would’ve ever prepared him for the feeling of losing one of his children before his time. Jake found himself thinking of his twin brother, Tommy, at this time, wondering if his death had been like yours, painful, or had been quick and peaceful. Jake quickly shook his head at the thoughts. This is no time to think of your late brother, Jake, he thought. Your child needs you.
“Is-Are they going to be okay?” Spider asked, keeping his distance from Jake and the rest, guilt crawling up his chest and settling into his throat. He tried to gulp down the feeling, but that seemed to only make it worse. No one answers the human boy, too occupied with their dying loved one in front of them. You never made an effort in befriending the boy, your Mother influencing your thoughts on the boy as well as being too terrified to. If all Sky People are said to be what your Mother told you as a child, then you didn’t want to interact with one. But, as you lay dying on the small piece of rock, you couldn’t help but feel bad for not giving the kid a try. One conversation wouldn’t have hurted, right?
Neteyam had put both of his hands over the wound in your chest, as demanded by your Father, in order to slow the blood from further oozing out. “You’re gonna be okay, okay?” Neteyam comforted, although it seemed to be more directed to himself than you, “You have to be. You’re my big tsmuktu. You’re invincible.”. Neteyam’s words only caused more tears to leak out from your eyes. You hadn’t even known you were crying. Whether from the pain or the realization that you were, in fact, dying, you did not know. Neteyam always looked up to you growing up. Although you were only a year older, he still viewed you as his role model. You carried yourself with such grace and confidence, he often found himself trying to memorize your strides and how you pulled back a bow effortlessly, practicing what he could remember whenever he was alone, desperate to be just like his older sibling. As the both of you grew older and drifted apart, he still viewed you as someone to look up to and strive to be like. A much younger Neteyam also viewed you as invincible, untouchable by the bad things that lurked within the depths of the dark corners of Pandora. And now, as a teen, he still viewed you as invincible. Even as you lay bleeding out in front of him, he still thinks you are because you protected him and Lo’ak and Spider from the soldiers on the ship. You gave up your life for him, and for that, he doesn’t know what to do with it.
“You still have to finish that bracelet for me, (Y/N),” Lo’ak sobbed out, grasping your free hand into his as he knelt in front of you, next to Neteyam. You only shakingly smiled at your brother, trying your best at squeezing his hand in response, but your fingers only gently fluttered at the attempt. You had begun to weave a bracelet for your youngest brother the night after he was abandoned at the Three Brothers, hoping to cheer him up from the hurtful words your Father spewed at him. You were never a good weaver so it took longer than expected, even with the help of your tsmuke, Kiri. Upon hearing of your struggle from the complaints of Kiri, Lo’ak felt warmed at the nice gesture you were doing. Growing up, Lo’ak always loved the things you made, even if they were a total disaster and halfway down. He still cherished them in his heart. He often found himself ‘accidentally’ breaking a bracelet he or someone else made and asking you to fix it for him or make him another one, excitedly waiting behind you as you did so, tail furiously wagging behind him in joy at his successful attempt at getting you to make him another bracelet of your creation. You pretended to not notice Lo’ak’s continuous purposeful breaking of handmade bracelets he received, happy to make him another one. It made you feel wanted and useful, especially if you had another encounter with one of the child bullies within your clan that day.
“D-Dad…” You weakly called out, turning your head and gaze towards your Father. Tears were running down his eyes as his gaze shifted back onto you, smiling down at you the best he could, putting on a front so you wouldn’t worry. “Yes, angel?” He asked, taking your right hand into his large ones, resting it against his cheek in hopes of comforting you. “I-I did it. Y-yeah? I pro-protected them, D-Daddy. I tried. R-re-really hard. I did. Got th-then t-to safety,” you responded, struggle evident in your voice as you stuttered over your words. That’s all you wanted to do back on that ship. Protect your brothers and get them to safety. You were glad to have achieved your goal, but at what cost? You were only sixteen years old and had so much ahead of you. Even before being forced to leave your home clan, you dreamt of becoming a fierce warrior and leader for your people and possibly having a family of your one day. But that all was ripped from you by a single bullet. Jake found himself cursing Eywa and all the other higher beings for taking his child’s life away far too soon to actually experience it. It wasn’t fair at all. But, nothing ever if fair is it? The Great Mother only gives and borrows energy, having the power to take it away all in one breath. And Jake is learning the hard way of what the Great Mother is truly capable of.
“Yeah, yeah you did, angel. You protected your brothers and brought them back to me,” Jake answered, brushing some matted flyaways from your forehead, the dried up seawater making the hair cling to your skin, “I’m so proud of you.”. Upon hearing that statement, you felt contentment settle itself between your bones. You longed for those five words for years, especially if they came from your Father. It wasn’t very often that either of your parents expressed their feelings about your accomplishments to you. Sure they might’ve bragged to other clan members about how you claimed and bonded with your ikran in little than two minutes, setting a new record for young Omatikaya, and they might’ve put you on a golden pedestal to others, highlighting how nearly perfect you were at everything you did. But they never said those kinds of things to you up front. A few “Good job”’s here and there, but nothing too impactful as those five words that your Father just uttered.
It seemed as if the constant battle your body was engaging with had came to an end, numbness spreading to your entire being as the only thing you could do was continue to breathe shallow breaths and look up at your Father. Your heart was tired of pumping blood throughout your body only to be pushed out of it. Your lungs could only take small breaths at a time, not having the energy to fully expand at your inhales. Your head began to feel fogging, all your senses dimming as you barely registered your Mothers ikran harshly landing in front of you. “What-” the question that Neytiri was going to asked for stuck in her throat as her eyes fell into the scene in front of her. Her eldest child, the light of her life, was limp and covered in blood, who she hoped wasn’t yours. “My baby,” she whispered, quickly falling onto her knees in front of you, Neteyam moving out of the way so your Mother could see you in your final moments. Flashes of her giving birth to you, feeding you from her breast for the first time, playing with you as a babe, teaching you how to walk and talk, and all your other firsts you experienced throughout your sixteen years of life on Pandora raced through her mind once she saw the bullet wound settled into the middle of your chest, draining all life from you. You had been her first child, her pride and joy, and to see you like this, pale and sticky with your own blood, made her want to trade places with you. In an alternative universe, she would’ve.
“Oh, Great Mother, please. No!” She shrieked, grabbing onto both of your biceps, trying to hug you closer as more of your soul and life slipped away at each passing second. You wanted to comfort her, to tell her that it’ll all be alright, but you physically weren’t able to speak, too fatigued to open your mouth. So, you just laid there as your Mother brought you close to her chest, seemingly trying to share her life force with you, to spare you from the cold grasp of death. Jake could only watch as Neytiri pleaded for the Great Mother to spare you, heart strings tugging at her desperate wails. He knows that Eywa always has a plan, but does that really include taking his eldest child’s life away? He began to doubt the entity that breathed life into everything on Pandora, just like he did back on Earth with all the other ones. Would she really be that cruel?
Lo’ak was the first to notice you completely go slack and relaxed, your eyes focused on the eclipsing sun in front of you. He didn’t want it to be true, calling out your name in hopes for your eyes to shift from the sun to him. But, it never came. Neytiri pulled you back from her chest, gently shaking you in hopes that you’d awake. But, you didn’t. Upon the realization that the eldest Sully child had finally passed and was reunited with Eywa, everyone broke. Neytiri let out multiple screams and wails, begging for you to come back. Jake had only closed his eyes once again, tears escaping from his waterline. Neteyam looked down at his blood stained hands, feeling like his palms were on fire. Even then, years after your death, Neteyam can still feel the weight of your blood on his hands and the sticky feeling it left behind, no matter how many times he scrubbed at them. Spider continued to stand in his spot, motionless. He couldn’t help but feel as if your death was his doing. Maybe if he didn’t get kidnapped by Quaritch, you’d still be alive. Maybe if he didn’t need Lo’ak’s help in rescuing him from the ship, you’d still be alive. Maybe if he was able to go into cryo and be shipped back to Earth, you’d still be alive. And Lo’ak felt his body go cold. He slumped back in the spot he was sitting in, bringing his hands up to his face as he sobbed into them. He felt as if he was at fault too. Maybe if he didn’t insist on going to get Spider, you’d be alive. Maybe if he didn’t get caught in that net, you’d still be alive. Maybe if he didn’t go to that stupid broken down lab and get held hostage by Quaritch, you’d still be here. But that’s all the Sully family can do. Think of what if’s and only pray that your soul makes a safe return into the afterlife and that you only stay blissfully ignorant to the fact that you died and are no longer living. They can only hope.
And, along with your death, the new peaceful beginning that was prophesied and hoped for at your birth, died as well.

You stared at your reflection in the clear blue pond, and you hated what you saw. The small eyes, the hair on your eyebrow bone, the five fingers. The familiar pang of hatred filled your chest and spread all over your body like a forest fire, burning you. You hated the Sky people's features your Avatar body had. You hated how you looked so different from your clan, your people.
“Bro, you coming? Or are you too obsessed with yourself?” Lo’ak jokes from his place on a tree branch and Neyetam laughs at it. Right now you're tracking your Sa’nok for hunting practice with your Sempu and tsumkans.
“Hey,” Jake scolds them, “stop messing around and get over here.” He continues further into the forest, light on his feet and not leaving a trail.
“You heard the sergeant. Let’s go.” Lo’ak says mockingly and follows their Sempu’s path with Neteyam.
So you do what you do best and pretend that these feelings do not exist. Like they don’t keep you up at night or creep into your mind when you're at peace. You pretend to be okay. You pick up your bow and arrows and slowly walk into the forest.
By now, there are not any signs of your family but you see the slight messing up of rocks that weren’t there earlier. Even though you’re supposed to be tracking, you can’t help but marvel at the beauty of Pandora’s rainforest. The big lush green plants and canopy of towering trees surrounded them, the animals scurrying around them.
According to your birth parents, scientists turned warriors, back on Earth, tight spaces and skyscrapers were all that there was and most rainforests were either man-made or photos. Your parents…you missed them a lot. Every time you crossed a milestone, your mind wanders to them. What it would’ve been like, should've been like.
You heard something, instantly snapping you out of your thoughts. Muscle memory makes you grab your bow and arrow, and silences your heart to better your hearing. You hear the crunching and rustling of leaves from two different directions.
You slowly walk to a vantage spot where you can see both of the animals. Or ambushers. You ready your bow and take aim at the spot. You speak with a clear and loud voice, “Whoever you are here, come out right now.” In case it wasn’t an animal.
You waited but silence greeted you, and it stretches to the point where you wondered if you was imagining it from being on edge. But the sound of soft snickers hit your ears and you tried to not growl in annoyance. It wasn’t the deep voice of your Sempu nor the soft one of your Sa’nok.
“Lo’ak, I know that it is you,” you grumble and put your arrows back into the satchel. Lo and behold your tsumkan pop out from the bushes along with your Sempu, surprisingly.
You tilt your head to the side in confusion, “I expected this from Lo’ak, but you Sempu?”
Your Sempu gives you a teasing smirk and shrugs, “Made for a good test on your reflects.” He comes closer and put his warm hands on your shoulders. “You passed, good job ma ‘itan. Now let’s go back, your Sa’nok and Neteyam are already there.”
You walk back to High Camp. It was more a fortress than a village since the Sky people came back with their war and destruction. Led to a massive forest fire, many older Na’vi said it was reminiscent of the destruction of Hometree. That’s when the side eyes and comments began.
“It was totally so he can sneak up on you, dude. Shoulda saw the pout he had when you called our buff.” Lo’ak informs you, slinging an arm on your shoulder as the both of you stroll back to camp.
The walk was mostly silent, each lost in their own world. But you could feel something was off with your tsmukan. He kept biting his lips and not so sneaky glancing his way before hastily avoiding eye contact whenever your eyes met.
Fed up with this, you abruptly stopped the walk and asked, “Okay, what’s with the looks you keep giving me?”
“The better question, is what’s with you?” He asked accusingly with his arms crossed around his torso. If your heart wasn’t thundering inside of your chest from nervousness, you would’ve commented on how much he resembles your Sempu.
“With me? Lo-” You tried to deflect but Lo’ak wasn’t fooled.
“Don't give me that bullshit, dude. It may work with our parents but not with me.” He pressed on, backing you into a corner, literally and metaphorically.
“I’m fine, okay. Just drop it, you won’t understand,” you say in irritation, fed up with your tsmukan usual pesky persistence.
Maybe Lo’ak would understand. The accusing stares whenever they walked around the camp. People became bolder when you weren't with your parents about their distaste for your existence. But maybe at the same time, he wouldn't.
He was Na’vi, more than you ever would be, and his hairy eyebrows and five fingers will never take that away. No one can ever take that away. With you it was different, you was like Jake, an Avatar, a sky person, a demon. And unlike Jake, you did not prove yourself worthy of being there, your parents did.
You were allowed to stay because your parents, brilliant and brave scientists, gave their lives to protect the Na’vi. And Jake is the Toruk Makto, they can’t deny him.
But they can deny you.
“Dude, hello?” Lo’ak shakes you out of your thoughts. “You’ve been really in your head lately. So something must be wrong. C’mon, you can talk to me.”
“Please, Lo’ak, just drop it.” You hang your head in shame.
How can you be a good chief if you can’t even reassure your own little tsumkan? Bet Neteyam never has to do that.
Thankfully, Lo’ak does drop his questions and you make it back to dinner just in time. Sa’nok and Sempu were setting the plates on the table while Tuk was talking Kiri’s ears off again.
“That was a long walk,” Kiri notes, looking them up and down with suspicion in her eyes.
“At least they are back before Eclipse. Sa’nok and Sempu would’ve had you guys’ heads”, Neteyam jokes.
“Yea,” Tuk, ever the annoying little sister peers up at the two, “what were you two doing?”
You made note of your parents' ears tilting in their direction, yet they made no move to ask either of their sons. He had to be careful in his answer.
“Why are you guys so nosy?! It’s bad enough we gotta share a room,” Lo’ak huffs in bitterness. Made sense, he was a frequent victim of Tuk’s “jumping on you for my enjoyment” attacks.
Sitting down next to your Sempu, you answer, “We were just talking about guy stuff.”
Instantly, Kiri and Tuk became disinterested and began eating their food. Neteyam was only half-listening to the conversation. Too hungry to care or tease his tsmukes. This however got the attention of your parents though.
“What exactly was said?” Jake presses on, a glimmer of mirth in his eyes. You could see a slight smirk forming on Netyiri’s face as she chewed her food.
“Sempu,” you looked tiredly at him after realizing that this was just a joke for their suffering. Sometimes parents can be so cruel.
After dinner, you headed out to practice your aim some more. It wasn’t really practiced but more of a way to keep your mind from wandering to those thoughts. Those ugly thoughts drowned you and took away your air.
“Are you going out again?” Your Sa’nok questioned looking at your bow and arrows in hand. When you nod, she shakes her head and tsk. “You have been practicing too much lately. Go take a break, now.”
“But Sa’nok-”
“No.” She takes the weapons from your hands. “You can go out on your ikran but no training.”
“Oh, you’re going out,” Lo’ak comes out, looking suspicious. Almost like this was planned. “Mind if I go with?”
This was clearly a setup with Lo’ak’s terrible acting. Despite this, you nod and mount your ikran.
You remembered when you made the bond with (ikran/name), there were many times when you felt like you would die. But you made the bond and took off with your ikran. For a whole month, your Sempu bragged about how his amazing son broke his record. The Toruk Matko’s record.
The memory warmed your but immediately grew cold. You can’t help but recount some of the looks of the older Na’vi. They did not look proud or delighted, more like with irritation and disbelief. The same Na’vi, however, wore a look of pride when Neteyam got his ikran. When Sempu bragged about Neteyam.
It was then you saw the differences in how you, Kiri, and Lo’ak were treated when compared to Neteyam and Tuk. And it was clear as day as to why.
“Rioe is such a bitch,” Lo’ak groaned. He flew his ikran closer to mine and gestured widely with his hands.
Your brother goes on to vibrantly describe what Rioe Te Rewui Rärä'ite said to him and how they got into their daily arguments. This Rioe girl has been bothering Kiri for a while about her non-Na’vi features and then when Kiri, in true Kiri fashion, didn’t give her the satisfaction, Rioe turned her eyes on Lo’ak. Who would gladly return the fire, with zero hesitation.
You give your tsmukan the same advice you’ve always given him. Go tell your parents to clear this whole thing up. But like always he refuses the advice with pride. So much like Sempu would’ve done.
“Really? You're not gonna ask for help because of your pride? Talk about shallow.”
Lo’ak gives you a side-eye that can rival Neteyam’s. “You're a real hypocrite. I hope you know that.” He flew his ikran higher into the sky with annoyance. The sky was cool against your face and the stars were beautiful tonight. Clouds were sparse.
You guide your ikran to follow after him, so close that the creatures nearly touch and give soft growls in response. Clearly sensing the growing irritation of both their owners. “We are talking about you, not me.”
“Well, maybe we should talk about you. You seem...to be y’know,” he falters a bit and doesn’t finish his sentence. Clearly at loss on how to say whatever he wants to.
You both fall into an uncomfortable silence that doesn’t often happen with you guys. Mostly because there was never silence, always talking or laughing, frequently both.
Lo’ak was the first to break the silence, his voice soft but verging on breaking, “We used to tell each other everything. And now, you tell me nothing.”
You sit with that information. Replaying it in your head, latching on to each word, and dissecting it. He was right. You don’t tell him much or anything anymore. You didn’t even notice it, you can’t even pinpoint when you stopped telling him.
And like a coward, you couldn’t even raise your head to tell him you were sorry for it.
“Lots has been on my mind, Lo’. I am sorry though,” you deflect instead. “Eywa, the sky is-“
“Don’t”, his voice is low and agitated. “You are suffering. And you won’t let anyone in. Why?” He demanded of you.
“This…this is just different, Lo’ak. I don’t know, but it feels different, and I don’t think you’ll get it.” You said all of this without even the courtesy of looking into his eyes.
You heard him scoff at your flimsy excuse and heard the flapping of wings. You looked up to see his figure getting smaller and smaller as he headed back home.
You slowly exhaled and inhaled to calm your nerves. You knew that this was a setup to get you to talk, and you knew that it would end badly. But you didn’t think it’ll end this badly. When it comes to Lo’ak, if he walks, or flies away in this case, you and he are not on speaking terms. Just what you needed.
The tension between you and Lo’ak was present even though you tried your hardest to be normal about it. But it was hard to when he would stubbornly refuse to interact with you, for even the smallest of things.
Like you would ask him to pass your knife and he’d tell Tuk to do it and leave. It was rather aggravating but two can play this game.
“Okay, so now you take the knife and slice it through here, slowly, Lo’ak,” Sa’nok instructed.
Right now, Neytiri was teaching them to cut the meat they just caught from their hunt. The game was in the middle and all of us were in a circle surrounding it.
Lo’ak was cutting into the side of a Yerik, and he was obviously struggling. The cut wasn’t clean straight down, instead, there were jagged lines from his continuous stopping and starting. It was a sad sight to see, honestly.
“Oh, Eywa, how could he be this bad?” Kiri whispered to you, causing you to snicker. He really was horrendous at it.
“Come hold this done for your tsmukan,” Sa’nok ordered you. From the way her eyes were fixated on yours, this was something you could not refuse.
So you got up and slowly walked towards Lo’ak. His displeasure with what was happening was evident in the way his jaw tensed and the increased gripe on the hunting knife. But he didn't verbalize it, fearing the wrath of Neytiri.
You both worked together, you holding down the animal and Lo’ak cutting it. The silence was uneasy and made the time drag slowly like a snail.
“Y’know, if you would just tell me-” Lo’ak began to whisper. You cut him off with a deadly look, you were tired of having this same endless conversation with him.
“No, and acting like a child because I won’t tell you will not get me to tell you.” You growled at him.
He huffed and kept quiet after that. You caught Sa’nok looking at you both in the corner of your eye, and you had no doubt that she saw and heard that entire exchange. Just great, another person on your case.
After the lesson, Sa’nok pulled you both aside for a “chat”. There you sat in front of her, it was terrifying, I mean who wouldn’t be terrified at being stared down by their Sa’nok? But this was Neytiri we were talking about here. A fierce warrior in her own right and the dead silence with prolonged eye contact made you unnerved.
“Well?” She asked, leaning against a tree. We were a far way from our home, in the jungle. Little creatures ran across the ground and the wind flowing provided some breeze to cool you down. Unfortunately, it couldn’t calm your heart. You felt trapped, and it’s funny because all of the walls you built to keep your family out are coming down. And you feel trapped because of it. Isn’t that ironic?
“We just had a disagreement, Sa’nu,” Lo’ak lied through his teeth easily. Maintained eye contact and didn’t think too hard about his answer, but that wouldn’t fool Neytiri.
“Try again, Lo’ak,” she replied, “and try to not lie to me this time. You two are close and now suddenly, you treat each other like strangers. Something is wrong and you refuse to talk about it. So talk, now.” She got up from her spot and climbed the tree with expertise. She went up far so that she wouldn’t us but not too far so she could see if we tried to run.
“Have I done something wrong?” Lo’ak asked. It was..it was unlike his previous questions, full of accusations of mistrust. “We used to go to each other for anything, everything. And now you shut me out. You shut everyone out, (Y/N).”
“But, Lo’ak you wouldn’t get it…”, you protest weakly, you don’t even believe the words coming out of your mouth. At least you don’t fully believe them, you just say them hoping they’ll work. They never do.
He scoffs at this and narrows his eyes at you, “You keep saying that. I won’t understand this, I won’t understand that. But you never tell me what I’m not understanding so just tell me. Tell me so I can understand and help you, tsumkan.”
“You can’t, Lo’ak! You can’t help me with this, no one can help me with this but myself. It’s like you said, ‘If go to our parents then what does say about me?’ And I know what your gonna say, hypocrite, and your right I am one. But this issue...it’s…it’s more than just bullying or alienating. It’s different, and I don’t think anyone can fix it but me. Besides, how can I lead our people if I cannot handle this on my own?” You argued against him, frustration swells into your chest. This argument is going nowhere at all.
“Gah, you skxawng! Why do you act like being the Olo’eyktan means that you would be alone with all of the clan duties on your back! Sempu gets a lot of help, he’s never alone. So why do you assume you would be? That makes no freaking sense and we both know it!” He screams at you, becoming louder and louder with every word.
You didn't realize either of you weas moving until your back came against the tree. Just great, you were trapped yet again.
Lo’ak’s face crumbles and the anger he exhibited earlier is gone. “I just want to help my tsmukan, that is all I want to do. I see that you are hurting, and it might not be exactly the same way, but the reason is the same, right? Because we are not full Na’vi.” He chuckles dryly looking at his hands, his five-finger hands. “Because we are part Demon, right?”
Your head hangs low in shame, “Yea, it is. But like I said, Lo’ak, I got this. You don't gotta worry, okay.”
But despite the smile you plastered onto your face, you didn't believe a word you said. And honestly, you got the feeling neither did Lo’ak.

I’m Sorry I Wasn’t Enough
Neteyam x reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Neteyam Sully x Reader Mate
Warnings: Mentions of Arranged Marriage, violence, blood.
Summary: A year after your marriage you are looking back on things, more specifically your non existent relationship with your mate. When something happens and you’re in danger how will Neteyam react? Oh and you’re injured?
****************************************************
Today marked the one year anniversary of your bonding ceremony to the future oleykten of the omatikaya. One year and one month since your life had changed forever
Neteyam te Sully, son of Toruk Makto… your husband. You remember it like it was yesterday..
The war with the sky people had gotten increasingly difficult, Toruk makto had been meeting with your Grandfather to discuss a potential alliance between the clans to aid in the fight against the sky people.
It was a shock to all when your Grandfather said they would only help if there was a blood alliance. Meaning you, the sole heir were to be married to Neteyam, there clans heir.
It was a smart move for all parties involved on paper. A decision that would strengthen everyone, combining resources, combining armies, combining… well everything. But happiness for everyone else unfortunately meant the sacrifice for you and Neteyam.
Toruk Makto had asked you many times if you were alright with it, to which you politely said you were ready to do anything to aid the cause against the sky people.
It’s not like you could have said anything else.
Your parents were not alive to defend you, your grandfather was a good leader but couldn’t care less about your happiness. “Good leaders need to make sacrifices for the people.”
Neteyam understood the same thing. He also wanted nothing more than to prove himself.
So you both agreed without so much as having more than one conversation together.
Within a few days you had packed all your belongings and were mounting an Ikran. Your new life awaited you.
A month later you were mated before Eywa to Neteyam. Bonded in every way except the heart.
Neteyam wasn’t cruel no but he was… serious. The heavy burden of war on his responsible shoulders. He was civil with you. Spoke when nessesary to you but other than that… you barely ever saw him.
His days were either filled with preparing for raids or the raids himself and he would enter your home pod late when you were asleep and leave at first light.
The only time you ever felt any sort of emotion from him was during your first and only mating bond. Connecting your queues forced emotion to flow through the both of you, and he had been gentle and caring. But you realized soon after that that was a one time occurrence and that warmth was not a thing your mate was capable of.
Well at least not with you. He was caring with his family, you’d watched him interact with them from afar. He was careful not to show this side of him to many but you did manage to see it several times before he noticed you were there, then he’d swiftly mask his face.
You really didn’t understand his coldness. You were mated for life shouldn’t you both make an effort to at least be friends?
You tried to be someone he would proud to call his mate. You helped around the village, especially with the wounded, you made sure not to fight with anyone and keep a cool head. You did everything you could but he never saw you.. never saw your efforts.. even though you saw his.
Over the year you watched your mate. You grew to admire his strength and character. Perhaps that is why it hurt so much. You had feelings for a man who barely acknowledged your existence.
You let out a deep sigh. The trees of the forest were the only ever witnesses to your sorrow. You adjusted your net covering around you. It was getting colder, your old home never reached cool temperatures so you were not prepared for it.
You really didn’t have friends save for Neteyams siblings. And even there you didn’t spend that much time with them seeing how much trouble they liked to get into. You didn’t want to risk upsetting your mate.
You would admit that you were lonely however. When you weren’t needed in the village you spent your time exploring the never ending forest that was your home. You weren’t raised in one so you were always venturing out and exploring.
Today however due to your more than usual sadness, what with it being your anniversary and all you had walked further than you intended.
You paused your steps hearing several voices up ahead, what were Navi doing all the way out here?
You slowly crept closer to the sounds but made sure to stay hidden behind the trees.
Your eyes widened when you caught sight of the Navi- no Avatars that were clad in military gear and holding AR’s.
You carefully moved backwards until you were out of earshot.
You knew you had to tell your mate. They were clearly dangerous.
You felt for the weird contraption around your neck, you never had to use it before. You pressed down on it,
“N-neteyam?” You spoke shakily.
A few seconds passed before you heard a click. “Y/n…? Is that you?”
You could hear the slight confusion in his voice. At least he recognized you.
“Y-yes um, I’m out in the forest and there’s these Avatars… but they don’t look normal, they are dressed in camo and are holding AR’s…”
“What’s you pos?”
“W-what?” You furrowed your brows.
“Your position, where are you right now?” He spoke a bit more sternly.
“I’m-“
Wait where were you?
“Y/n?”
“I’m not sure but they were standing in front of an old worn down building..like a shack… something from the sky people I think..”
You could hear an intake of breath, “Y/n listen to me carefully, you’re going to get out of there without making a sound ok? Get back here immediately.”
You nodded before realizing he couldn’t see you, “ok I’m coming” you released the button and started to run as quietly as you could back the way you came.
Adrenaline coursed through you, you looked back several times to ensure you weren’t being followed.
You stopped to catch your breath, hopefully this was far enough-
“Ah!” You cried out falling backwards seeing a fresh bullet lodged in the now smoking tree beside you.
You quickly regained your footing and started barreling forward.
A round of explosive pops rang from behind you, debris grazing your back.
Oh Great Mother help me!
You cried out as another bullet whizzed right by your ear causing you to lose balance.
You heard shouts but they spoke in a language unknown to you.
You moved to get up when suddenly your queue was yanked back forcefully.
You hissed at your abuser, but he only smiled. Again he spoke in a language you didn’t understand.
“L-Let me go!” You tried clawing at his hand but he only yanked harder causing your vision to go white in seering pain.
Was he going to kill you? You wish you could at least understand what he was shouting at you.
He used your queue to turn you harshly around. You hissed again now able to fully see your attacker.
He only rolled his eyes said something that again failed your understanding and swiftly backhanded you into the dirt.
While you lay on the ground in pain he held a hand to his ear saying something into his comm.
You had to do something, he was going to kill you or take you back to the others…
Your eyes perked up seeing something glinting strapped to his boot.
You figured it was best to attack while he was distracted…
I guess it’s now or never,
You swiftly grabbed the knife and plunged it into his stomach.
“Gah! You bitch!”
You didn’t stick around to see his reaction, you were already darting away. You heard the cocking of his gun and immediately started weaving through trees.
*POP* *POP* *POP*
It was a miracle you avoided all the bullets.
You made the mistake of looking back for a split second and found yourself tumbling over a root.
You gasped and tried to right yourself but he was already there pointing his gun.
Your eyes met his murderous ones and you knew this was it.
You let out one more frightened hiss and watched his finger start to pull.
*POP POP*
You couldn’t help the cry that left your mouth but- why weren’t you in pain?
“Y/N move!” Suddenly an arm was yanking you up onto your feet.
“N-neteyam!?” You couldn’t believe your eyes. He was about to speak when moments later more gunshots rang out. You gasped seeing more avatars emerging from the trees.
“Neteyam get her out of here! Move!” Jake jumped in front of you both and motioned for you to run. A few Navi warriors aiding him shooting their own weapons.
Neteyam pulled you through the trees at record speed, he quickly pulled you onto his Ikran before mounting it himself behind you and flying away. His eyes scanning the trees to make sure no one was aiming anything at them.
“Are you injured?” He asked in that raw tone he used in the middle of battle. Serious and to the point.
You shook your head, not trusting your voice not to crack. That was the last thing you wanted to do was cry in front of him.
He sighed before adjusting his reins. His silence was like poison. Slowly seeping into you making you feel ten times worse then when you were just under that guys gun.
You were breathing heavily when he landed the ikran on the mountain ledge.
He dismounted first then held out his hand, you let him help you down thanking Eywa that your legs didn’t give out on you in front of the entire village who were currently staring.
“Neteyam!” Tuk ran up and hugged your mate tightly.
The silly siblings all ran up to you guys asking what happened.
“Are you hurt sister?” Kiri eyed you up and down wearily.
“I’m alright, don’t worry…”
“Y/n!” Tuk was quick to switch to you and you embraced her warmly wanting to ease the fear on her face.
“Everyone is alright Tuk, please don’t cry…” you stroked her back calming her down, or maybe you were using her as a buffer.
You hesitantly glanced up to where Neteyam was speaking to his mother. He looked pissed. Neytiris eyes met your worried ones for a split second, softening slightly before turning back to her son. Her eyes widened in some sort of threat before sighing and coming to you.
“Are you alright daughter?” She placed a hand on your shoulder.
“I’m alright…I’m sorry for all of this I-“ she shushed you quickly.
“Don’t, it’s alright, everyone is alright…” you sighed and nodded to her thankful that she wasn’t upset with you for putting her family in danger.
“Y/n” you sucked in a breath and met your mates eyes. You wanted to let out a whimper at the anger they held.
He motioned for you to follow him. Every step felt like someone had placed a stone in your heart.
He pulled aside the flap of your tent and looked forward waiting for you to enter.
With shakey breaths you ducked under and stepped into your home.
Your fingers pulling at your netted covering as a nervous distraction.
You had seen Neteyam angry countless times before, at warriors who disobeyed orders. At his brother for causing trouble, at anyone who seriously stepped out of line.
You shivered in place now that for the first time that anger was directed at you.
He yanked the flap back down and rounded on you.
“What the hell were you thinking!?” His eyes shooting daggers through you.
“I-I I’m sorry I didn’t mean-“
“Do you know how much danger you’ve put everyone in?! They could’ve followed you back to our village and done who knows what!”
“I never would have-“
“What were you thinking wandering around there!? That areas off limits for a reason!”
“I didn’t know- Neteyam I-!”
“Enough! I don’t want to hear your excuses.” You felt the tears running down your cheeks and it seemed to trigger Neteyam to at least bring his anger down a notch.
He turned around letting out a sigh,
He hated you, that was evident now. He may have hidden his distaste before but now that you had finally angered him his true colors showed.
It only made your tears come faster. The adrenaline finally wearing off, you realized just how scared you had been. Your body ached, craving nothing more than to curl up and rest.
Not to mention an annoying pinching feeling on your abdomen that was getting increasingly more painful. Like a sting from a beertus beetle.
You ignored it focusing on the man before you.
He held a hand up to his neck, you could hear his father speaking on the other side.
They talked for a minute, you released a breath you didn’t know you were holding when you heard that everyone was alright.
Neteyam ended the line and his head turned towards you. He seemed a bit calmer now that he knew everyone was ok.
Your eyes couldn’t handle his glare at the moment so instead they landed on the mat beneath you.
It was quiet for several moments, the air thick with tension.
“You are never to go there or anywhere near that area again understood?” He spoke to you like you were one of his soldiers.
“Understood…” your voice was hoarse but at least it didn’t break.
He nodded before turning to leave and meet with his father to discuss this new threat.
Your heard his footsteps start to fade which meant he was going to leave. Of course he would. Why would he want to stay with someone like you?
Your eyes were still glued to the mat. A beautifully woven mat that was a gift from your Mother in law. It was dyed in beautiful colors.
Huh? Did something spill on it? Your eyebrows furrowed seeing red droplets. Hopefully that wouldn’t stain.. was it juice? You hoped it-
Another drop, forming right before your eyes. You looked up at the ceiling, frowning when you didn’t see anything. Then something clicked and you moved your netted cover to the side, you expected to see a cut or deep scrape from your falls. But you felt like a bucket of ice had been dumped on you when you saw it.
Why Great mother? Why were you testing me like this?
You let out a distressed whimper. Your eyes shot to the entrance where your mate had just stepped out of seconds before. You could still hear his footsteps.
You could call to him. He would hear you. But you didn’t. You couldn’t.. your mate already hated you. You would not tell him this and make him even angrier.
You would not tell him you had been shot…
****************************************************
You cursed realizing quickly that that was probably the dumbest mistake you had made. Because moments later you were too dizzy to stand and were sprawled out onto the floor clutching your side.
How could you get help now? Was this how you were going to die? It certainly looked like it..
You thought of your mate. He hated you, maybe it was…. You whimpered at your next thought.
Maybe this was for the better. He would find a new mate and be happy.
Yeah, you could do this for him… why should such a good person be miserable..?
But wait… would this damage his reputation? That he let sky people kill his mate?
Was this actually going to hurt him?
A Navi males reputation was everything. If he couldn’t protect his family who would trust him to protect the people.
No, you couldn’t be selfish. If you died, he would suffer in his position.
For the second time ever you reached up to your neck, fingers slippery from the blood.
“N-neteyam…” was that your voice? It sounded so different…
Would he even answer? He probably thought you were trying to make excuses for what happened. You tried calling out a few more times.
You felt your heart sink at the silence, it looked like he had shut the line off.
As your vision began to blur at the edges you realized that it looked like his reputation was going to suffer after all.
Even though you knew he wasn’t listening you held the button down once more, one final time…
“I’m s-sorry Neteyam.. I really tried to be a w-worthy m-mate.. I’m sorry I couldn’t do b-better mmh, p-pl.. please tell the p-people it was m-my fault not yours…I… I really did love you N-Neteyam, I-i h-hope your next mate will make you happy-“
Your fingers slipped from exhaustion and your vision failed you completely.
Goodbye my Neteyam…
****************************************************
Neteyam had never moved so fast in all his life.…
Ooooh a cliffhanger hehehe, also is anyone actually reading this? Should I do a part 2👀❤️

“You what?” Lo’ak asked with his brow raised, both brothers stopping in their tracks.
“I wanna see what you guys look like under your loincloths, I’ve heard other scientists talk about Navi anatomy but I wanna see one for myself.” You state plainly, both of them staring down at you with their brows raised and jaws slightly dropped.
Neteyam is the first to break the silence, walking over to you and crouching down at your level. “Babygirl..are you sure?” He asks gently while placing his hand on your shoulder, his fingers almost touching the middle of your back.
You nod your head quickly, sending him a reassuring smile when you do. “Yes teyam I’ll be fine. I can handle it, I promise.” Both of them smile devilishly at this, their gaze on you turning lustful. “Nah mama, I don’t think you can” Lo’ak says gravely, making Neteyam chuckle softly.
“Can’t promise you’re gonna be able to even walk out of here once we’re done with you.” He adds on, standing up to his full height to take off his loincloth slowly. Lo’ak walking next to him to do the same.
Your stomach was filled with butterflies as they were standing in-front of you, watching the last knot on their loincloths come undone before they fall down to the ground in sync.
You stare at them confused for a second, looking back in front of you to what seemed to be a very well lubricated slit of some sorts, which you assumed is where their cocks were.
You’ve heard the other scientists mention this thing called a knot that’s on the base of male Navi’s shafts that swells the closer the he is to his climax so when he pushes it into his desired mate, she’s sure to get pregnant. But they never talked about how their cocks were when “at rest” essentially.
They both look at you with the same smirk plastered on their faces, tails swaying excitedly behind them. “Can I touch?” You ask innocently, looking up at them with curiosity in your eyes.
Lo’ak bites his lip at your expression, while neteyam places his hand on your head. Rubbing his thumb back and forth on your skull softly. “Mhm, that’s why we’re doing this in the first place right, babygirl?” He questions lowly while tilting his head to the side, braids falling in-front of his face.
You nod to acknowledge his question before reaching out to the both of them tentatively, tracing the outside of their slits with your fingertips. Making both of them flinch and buck up into your hands softly at the soft touch.
After a few more minutes you see something coming out from inside both of their slits. And immediately after that, their dicks come out in front of you. Both of them basically the size and length of your forearm, if not a little bigger.
The thought of those going inside of you makes you nervous, but the ache in your core says otherwise. Making you rub your thighs together tightly.
You still keep your hands on the base of their dicks, not fully touching them but still too busy admiring them. Lo’ak has this knot at the base of his shaft just like neteyam, both of them slightly flat but swelling the more aroused they got.
Lo’ak looked more like a human than anything, but was just blue and fucking enormous in length and girth. Neteyam on the other hand had these ridges on the sides, which looked more like the diagrams of Navi anatomy you’ve seen before.
You look up at them with doe eyes, shuffling uncomfortably before wondering what to do. They both laugh at you hesitation,“You can touch mama” lo’ak says softly, rubbing your head affectionately.
You grab both of them firmly, the slick from where they were before aiding you in stroking them fluidly. They both groan at the feeling of your soft hands wrapped around them, both of them reaching down to touch you to reassure you.
They were both twitching and leaking all into your hands, the pre that came from their tips almost looking shimmery and shiny. As if it was glowing. You swallow thickly at this, scooting closer to them to observe them more.
“You wanna taste, yawntutsip?” Neteyam says thickly, his baritone knocking you out of your trance. “Mhm” you mummer quietly before taking his tip into your mouth, whining softly at the stretch it gave you. He tasted so…sweet.
You lick and suck at his tip hungrily, addicted to the taste of him. He groans at the feeling of your mouth on hip, watching how you struggle to get just his tip into your mouth.“Fuck babygirl, that good?” He chuckles breathily before tightening his grip on your hair. Trying to resist the urge to fuck your face and use you until he’s done.
Lo’ak groans needily at the sight in front of him, closing his hand around yours to fuck into your fist the way he wanted. You take a couple more licks of neteyam before switching to lo’ak, wrapping your hand around neteyam instead.
“I didn’t forget about you baby, don’t worry.” you tease before taking his tip into your mouth, letting the taste of him just dissolve on your tongue.
He hisses at the feeling of your tongue on his sensitive tip, instinctively bucking his hips into your mouth. “Fuck mama..” he groans lowly before throwing his head back when you roll your tounge in circles around him.
He places both hands on your head before fucking your mouth softly, making you whine around him and your eyes water. While neteyam was thrusting into your fist tenderly, not wanting to harm you at all.
You tighten your hold on neteyam and suck lo’ak harder, silently telling them to use you. They both pick up on this quickly, giving you exactly what you wanted.
Your the tears finally spill over your eyes as lo’ak uses your throat, causing little whines and gags to come from you. “You look so fuckin’ pretty like this mama,” Lo’ak growls lowly as your throat squeezes him every time you gag. “Such an eager little slut for us, so perfect.” Neteyam coos at you deeply as he fucks your fist roughly. Making you moan around Lo’ak desperately.
The nosies coming from the three of you made you squeeze your thighs together tightly, being used by these two gorgeous men and their dirty words making your pussy throb.
You rub your thumb up and down neteyams tip as your moan around lo’ak again, the vibration making him moan softly.
“Must want us to cum all over that pretty face huh mama?” Lo’ak teases, cocking his head to the side as if he was waiting for you to answer. Neteyam hums in agreement, hips stuttering slightly as his orgasm approaches. “Come one yawntutsip, be a good girl for us and let us make a mess on your face. We promise we’ll make your feel good after…”

𖠗 LO’AK — ༉‧₊˚.
loves physical touch. it is an act of trust and affirmation in his own catalogue of body language. he likes to slip his lithe fingers between your own to engraft the two of you together from the hip up — his hands are often pebbly and coarse from days of practice in the salty sea waters and bussed with fronts of ‘friendly banter’ with the other boys occupying the sea; scratches, bruises, even cuts. his day is often better when you’re treating his misgivings, soft skin melting against his own patch of skin. sometimes, when he feeling braver, if brave at all, he will slather his presence into you. that starts with rubbing your knuckles, index finger or even pinkie till you’re red and confused at the inundation of physical touch with him. your reactions are his catalyst. other days, when he’s heckled by jake or overriden by the boys, you will come to understand his pattern of touch — he’ll want you close. closer. touch his ears for him to crawl deeper into you. rub your knuckles against his cheek to keep him grounded. enclose your feet around his hips to keep him reminded of your subsistence of his trust — he’ll probably cry in your arms later.

loves when you listen to him. this mustn’t be mistranslated to him being a deference freak — if there is anything he hates, it’s bossing you around. having you feel controlled. he loves when you’re most comfortable around him. but, when the time calls for it, he requires your time, your patience. this comes in the form of compliance to his word; jake instructed the two of you to stay out of battle? keep in the air and he will see the depth of his appreciation for you. sky people spotted raiding the meter ahead? stay touching toes with him in the foliage of the forest and he will learn of love, compassion. the golden fruit that is you, born from eywa. other days, when there are no baleful missions or pernicious members of earth filthying the land with bullets and spit, he loves when you just listen to him. being the oldest comes with its share of predicaments. swipe the hair out of his eye whilst nodding and he will pulse in your hold. maintain eye contact and he will meld with you. press your lips to his knuckles when his eyebrows furrow and he will riddle your skin with kisses.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 | 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐦 & 𝐋𝐨'𝐚𝐤
Tumblr media
notes: i had a dream that neteyam and loak were my older brothers so i just decided to run with it and make a bunch of headcanons, i may make more of these just cuz theyre so fun xDD hope u all enjoy ! :3c Neteyam & Lo'ak headcanons
Neteyam and Lo'ak were extremely protective over their sisters
and that includes you!
they just feel an overwhelming amnt of responsibility and love for their sisters hence the protectiveness
you were younger than Kiri by 2 years (meaning that they deemed you a mere toddler)
But it also means that you get an unnecessary amnt of attention from the both of them
tho u dont hate it. . . it can get overwhelming sometimes
the pair always insist that atleast one of them goes along with wherever ur going or whatever ur doing
you tried sneaking off once to hang out with a boy and it didnt end well
"Baby bro where is Y/N?"
"I thought she was with you bro"
". . ."
they go around the hometree and the forest that surrounds it looking for you
once they do spot you they dont approach you immediately
youre in the clearing with a boy, talking about something
and no way in hell is their little sister gonna get a boyfriend already
so as you speak to the boy, they very quietly stalk up behind you
they catch the attention of the boy youre with who looks behind you nervously
"Hey baby girl!" Lo'ak wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you in close
"Hey baby sis" Neteyam grunts, crossing his arms over his chest
you greet them happily, unaware that your brothers were glaring daggers at the smaller boy you were with
it was an intimidating sight, no lies, so soon enough the boy scurries off, "I think my mom is calling me!"
you sigh, "man I thought we had a thing going on"
the pair hum dismissively, pulling you away from the clearing
"he doesnt matter, how about you let your big bros show you how a real man is supposed to treat you huh?" Lo'ak flexes his arms obnoxiously, earning a snort out of you
the three of you end up flying on ikrans for fun, landing in a random clearing
"Here baby girl, best fruit ever in this area" Neteyam tosses you a fruit, and you take a bite gratefully
as you eat, Lo'ak braids a flower crown for you, picking random flowers from the bushes
at the end of the day you come home happier than you thought you'd be
and your brothers do indeed prove that any man would need the effort of two for you

the mighty twins
Tumblr media
sully family x neteyams twin brother
angst, a lil rushed wc: 543
They are two mighty twins, y/n and neteyam. They experienced everything together, Their first breath, their first words, first steps, everything.
“Dad i wanna go home,”
“I'll take you home, just stay with me”
“I-i-” his body went limp, his breathing ceased, his pupils dilated.
His twin brother couldn't cry, all he felt was anger.
Anger at his father, anger at himself. He was the first to leave the rock.
Hearing his mother scream for eywa to bring back her first born.  You were enraged, how could ewya take your beloved brother? He was everything, more than anybody you knew.
He was brave, caring, responsible, the perfect brother. But everything changed, having to save the damned human.
y/n felt his blood run hot, He felt as if the world had split apart. His world did.
His best friend for life, his other half, had died, in his arms.  Nothing could stand in his way, he had to avenge his brother.
Without thinking, without a plan;
He threw a knife towards the fake na’vi standing in front of him. miles quaritch, the one who had stolen lives of many. He had your sister in his hands. A knife on her throat.  Threatening to spill blood at any given moment.  Y/n threw a random rock at the demon, he had let go of Kiri, due to the sudden pain on his back.
Jake and Neytiri had appeared, Jake took kiri and tuk into his arms. y/n ran, feet first, he kicked the demon.
They both fell, quick to stand up y/n had pulled out two daggers, hissing at quaritch.
They circled around one another waiting for the other to make a move.
y/n took notice of the small gun he held, He also took notice of the stray gun, by a lifeless body.
y/n backed up by the gun and picked it up with his tail.
He easily took the gun out of the grasps of his thin tail.
While he had shot the demon right in between his eyes,
He felt a pain right in the middle of his chest, there was a small human, with a gun pointing at him.
The human was shaking under the gaze of the na’vi. His mother, Neytiri, had snapped the small human's neck.
Black spot had entered his vision, he couldn't feel his body Not even after he had fallen on the hard surface beneath him.
Jake hooked his hands underneath y/n's knees. Another hand underneath his waist.
The family slowly retreated back to where Neteyams emotionless body lay.
“Do not miss me too much” y/n held a smile looking at his family.
As y/n took his last breath, pupils dilated. Lo’ak seeing this before with his oldest brother, looked above, praying that he would wake up and spend another day with the both of you.
When y/n went limp, not responding,
It almost looked like y/n and neteyams were protecting each other.
They mighty twins of Toruk Makto and neytiri, y/n and neteyam. They experienced everything together, Their first breath, their first words, first steps, everything. When neteyam died, so did y/n, brothers for life, even after death.
Nobody thought they would share their last breath together;
but they did.

neteyam sully x fem!omatikaya!reader
main masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary ; as a shy, reserved artisan for the omatikaya clan, your days consisted of crafting and exploring in the forest by your lonesome. on neteyam's rare days off from training, he liked to go into the forest to fish. when he meets you on one of those days and he doesn't catch your name, he is determined to learn it.
warnings/notes - fluff, slow burn, lowercase intended, no smut but neteyam is aged up to like 17/18 and hasn't gone through dreamhunt yet, the characters are always speaking na'vi unless it is stated otherwise, i don't own any of the gifs unless stated otherwise, and divider creds to shifterium.

Every night
Tumblr media
Pairings: Neteyam x Y/n, Fluff
Every night he would watch you walk away from him, heading towards your home to go to sleep after an evening full of laughter and sea shells. Neteyam would stand every night at the same place, his feet rooted to the ground and his eyes glued to your disappearing frame.
He was scared of you. You were something so much more than what you seemed. You were better, stronger and a better fighter but you were also gentle, kind and full of life. He wasn't prepared for that.
But that made it all so much better.
Once again night fell upon you as you were collecting shells. Neteyam walked to his place but quickly stopped as he noticed that you sat down in the sand, face towards the sea legs crossed. He slowly walked back to you and found himself sitting down towards you.
You smiled at him, "Close your eyes."
Neteyam watched you close your bright eyes. He took this moment in and sighed as his eyes travelled you. How your hair fell around your face, how you breathed in and out in a calm rhythm, how your ears twitched at the smallest of sound that was heard. You were Eywa to him.
"Neteyam, close your eyes." You said once again as you sensed that he did something completely else.
Finally Neteyam closed his eyes at your request and focused on his other senses. He heard the birds chirping, your steady breathing and the sea which lapped against the beach, he felt the moist air, the sand between his toes. It all united to make a symphony of life, nature, Eywa.
You reached out into the darkness and took his hands into yours as your eyes remained closed. His skin was warm and lived. You felt as he gripped your hands back, soft but firm. It was physical touch but to you it meant more.
"Listen as the sea whispers to the moon." You quietly said as you opened your eyes, only to find Neteyam looking at you. His lips were parted as he breathed, steady but sure. You don't know why but you felt the need of more. As if Neteyam read your mind, he lifted you hand up and placed it on his chest, on his heart.
A whisper escaped from your lips, "Right in front of me."
Neteyam leaned to you, his forehead gently touching yours as he whispered back to you, "Right in front of me."
The sea whispers to the moon, how the love is right in front of them.

A girlie is ovulating rn and ik yall know ab ovulation horniness so i was js thinkin..🤭
Smut under the cut‼️ MDNI‼️
Neteyam and Lo’ak being able to smell how horny you get when you ovulate, so every time they come to the lab and they notice you’re not out in the main area like you always are, they alr know you’re in your room “handling yourself”. Which was one of the things you said while explaining why you smell so different to them.
Both of their large footsteps make it to your door, but you’re too lost in the pleasure your vibrator was giving you to notice them. “Mama, you in here?” Lo’ak asks politely, but neteyam was already opening the door because of how strong your scent was even through the door. You slam your legs shut once you lock eyes with them, immediately feeling embarrassed. “What the fuck are you doing here?”
Ignoring you they both storm over to you, tearing off the small amount of clothes you had on. Neteyam made quick work of getting behind you and holding you in place while lo’ak dove into your pussy like he hasn’t eaten in days. “Tawtute, why didn’t you come to us? You know we’d love to help you out with your little human problem” neteyam says in between his kisses and bites on your shoulder, making lo’ak let out a muffled giggle at his comment as he continues to draw circles on your clit.
“I-i didn’t wanna bother you-mhm~ you guys..” you say in an almost silent tone, not trusting your voice with how loak was demolishing your pussy. “Awh mama how cute, you know we don’t mind when you ask us for little favors” Lo’ak says before leaving a few kitten licks to your clit and inserting his middle and ring finger into you and rubbing your clit in tight circles with his thumb instead of his tongue, setting a pace that was driving you to the edge.“Mhm! Lo’ak!” You say while throwing your head against neteyams chest, giving him more of an area to mark. Effortlessly they both find your sweet spots, making you scream out both of their names and let out almost pornographic moans. “Fuck! I’m gonna cum! I’m- please don’t stop!” Making both of the brothers continue their attacks to your sensitive body, causing you to squrit all over lo’aks finigers. Coming down with soft whimpers and moans, you lean back into neteyams chest. “Awh tawtute, don’t get sleepy on us now. We aren’t finished with you yet.”

# 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘’𝐑𝐄 𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒 — SULLY BOYS + KIRI
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— (avatar : twow) -> drabble !
⠀࣪. ᨳ — synopsis. sullies and their jealousy.
cw. contains no spoilers ! gn + non sully + navi reader
auth notes. wanted to write a jealousy trope w the sully teens, because they’re highly emotional and i love them for it. i barely see any kiri works on my feed (˃̣̣̥ヘ˂̣̣̥) !
characters. neteyam, lo’ak + kiri sully (♡⃕)
warnings. slight angst , but no real warnings
Tumblr media
: LO’AK — ꒷ ᵎᵎ ₊
claims that he is hardly ever jealous. covetous when you join aonung further in the surf than you’re supposed to? sure. bitter when you pitch a friendly arm around neteyam after a close call with jake? fine. but jealous? noooo. he’ll sulk and lodge into a hole with himself all day, eyebrows intrenched and mood sullied with grime. he will confide with payakan and let drop the secret of his jealousy — but it will take weeks for you to converge him in his free time. dwell deep into his bones, skin and soul. feel his jealousy, his bitterness. stipple his knuckles gently whilst he belts his honesty out — “yes, yes i was jealous” — in the stretched out darkness of you and him and the stars — he is bound to love you endlessly.
: NETEYAM — ՞ 〃 ᩙᩙ
thinks he handles jealousy well but its an adversarial clockwork in that head of his. a ticking time bomb. although it takes more to will him, it is not wholly avoidable — lo’ak will lackadaisically mention that you’re hunting with rotxo or seen with aonung, bickering as you usually do, not to get a rise out of his brother — the older’s ears are erect and twitching on their own. but it’s not jealousy, but mere inquisitiveness. it’s in the later frills of the day that he hears from you less often or sees you as a piddling dot. expect him to laxly appear by you, take your hand in his larger one. he will glare more and talk less, just dragging you here and there, with just four footprints — when you nest deep in his warlike head, he will sigh and tell you “i missed you” with his fingers melting on your own and your lips are already on him.
: KIRI — . ˚ 𖧷 · °
its less like a flame with kiri, and more like melting wax: the sting of jealousy will persist in vexing her in the comfortable welt of the sun or silent brooklet with sand and stones at her feet like a candle weeping: she hears her heart, thumping, with the beat of eywa guiding her. but her body is hot and brambly when she spots you awkwardly cackling with her brothers or the boys of the main. she sticks her head beneath the foamy waves and attempts to entrance herself with the rhythm of eywa. she thinks it is because of her difference. her ‘weirdness.’ but her leer and concentration is razed when two blue feet dig in the sand in front of her — water is lodged in her hair and lashes as she gawps at you and asks you “what are you doing here?” and when you tell her how much the boys bore you and how much she doesn’t, she’ll curl her fingers around your palm and giggle as she descends into the nippy waves, knowing no one will intrigue you as much as she does.
