i have this fic series i'm still working on where mihawk sort of becomes rayleigh's kid and spends ages 11-17ish on the oro jackson.

shanks and buggy imprint on him (bugs considers him a sort of older brother figure/sparring inspiration and shanks has a crush that eventually turns into full-blown love) and this is how i imagine they're like on the day mihawk sets off on his own haha.

So. The graphic novel, huh.

The artstyle is pretty good, I can’t deny it. Joey’s design is beautiful, very dilf-coded. Buddy looks… young. VERY young. He’s supposed to be 17 in Dreams Come To Life but somehow manages to look 12 ? Plus, I don't know how to describe it, but he looks very...angry ? Upset ? I don't think his bubbly, awkward personality appears much in the graphic novel, with his gaze being very...severe. He just looks weird, like a 40 years old in a child body. And Norman… Deep breath. His design is…no. Absolutely NOT it. I didn’t expected much but I still managed to be disappointed. I’ll wait until we get to see Sammy and Tom (especially) before expressing what I think is wrong with these designs but… yeah. I’m so sorry, Norman.

what I personally think makes the entire old/new demo so funny is that D really did change. personality wise they're still more open and flirty but they haven't been this nice before 😭 so I'm glad that you're giving them a chance lmao the trust issues I've witnessed are entertaining but wowie.

I like the new ssktjl Joker, and I think it’s a refreshing take on the character these days. I’ve always found it more interesting when he’s not the literal devil, embodiment of pure evil and nothing else. Seeing a younger Joker that’s not just snowed in by writers just putting whatever the worst thing they can think of to paper with no thought on his actual characterisation was nice enough but like…a Joker that tries to control himself? Damn. There’s a line when you do some of those rescuing hostage quests that really made me think, he says something like, “I can smell their fear, it makes me want to… wait no I’m supposed to be saving them.” Pretty interesting tbh. And I’m not someone who hates a really dark Joker, DOTF and Endgame are some of my favourite comics out there, but it’s nice to see that DC remembers there are other ways to do Joker, when he’s not at the very end of his rope

man it's weird how httyd 2 is the only sequel to the first movie. you would think they would make a third movie where they find more nightfuries and hiccup proves that he's a good chief and the berkians and their dragons grow stronger together and prosper. too bad there's not a third movie.
