Sometimes ADHD likes to throw you a curveball, and in my latest "I do not control the hyperfixation" development: I was suddenly possessed, at FOUR IN THE MORNING, to buy myself a tamagotchi out of literally nowhere, and now all I want to do is play with it and look at tamagotchi content.

I just found the Tamagotchi codes that i wrote down in like 2004 from gamefaq on my mum's work computer inside a church because my mum was the prayer request database accountant or something.

Anyway if anyone needed these codes i'm sure they still work

apparently igusa matsuyama worked on a bamco ip, specifically Papipu Pet (a brand started by Kenji Watanabe! yknow, the tamagotchi guy?)

cool guy igusa did a set of adventures for it, and some of the pages even include GB3 artwork that was thrown in for the magazine it was produced for!

my very well loved tamagotchi that i’ve had since 2005 :) i’ve moved so many times in my life and somehow this guy is still with me! it still works too, it just doesn’t have battery

Imagine... your familial F/O getting you little trinkets and whatnot you enjoy that they've noticed with you mentioning it or not (keychains, bracelets, necklaces, tamagotchi, etc.).

Especially when it comes to, like, stoic/reserved and/or villain familial F/Os finding one and giving it to you, "I found this when I was coming home. I knew if I gave you this, you would stop bothering me/yapping about it so... here." Even with their closed off nature, they still want to try this.

just watched episode 35 of changerion and i kind of love that akira is like 'i'm mr coolguy sexy detective and all the girls love me' and then all his girlfriends are just like 'yeah he's like our collective tamagotchi basically'. like the miles wide gap between how he sees himself and how they see him jkbfdsg

that episode is SO FUNNY. like all the girlfriends being "oh this man will NOT survive the winter" vs hayami WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS WASN'T A BIT AND YOU HAVE SO MANY GIRLFRIENDS!!!

When I was a child I was obsessed with cats after reading warriors and the only thing I wanted in the universe was a cat. My mother wouldn't allow it because she was a. Allergic (valid) b. An animal disliker (not valid) so to prove to her that I would be a responsible cat owner I did so much research and studied cats obsessively, I even drew diagrams of cat anatomy and different systems I would implement around the house to prove I would be a responsible cat owner. I was so dedicated to the feline agenda

I don't know why she never caved and at least got us a hamster or something. I would constantly beg her for a pet, like I would have been happy with any kind of animal even a fish. Unfortunately I was an animal-obsessed child born to an animal averse mother lol. When my brother and I trapped insects she would say in Spanglish "Este es tu pet!" (This is your pet) 😭 and that fills me with rage to this day lmao

To cope I pretended the various animals around the house like a fox or a hedgehog we saw in the garden were my pets. We even had a rat infestation when we lived in London and I considered them my pets, penning my first book entitled "My Rat" which I think my dad still has. I was obsessed with any kind of pet simulator like Nintendogs or neopets or tamagotchis. I think she was worried she'd be saddled with all the responsibility after I got bored which I can understand but also I was so dedicated to my imaginary pets for so many years that I don't think that would have been the case.

WELL. I guess Someone's Getting Shanked given Yokoyama did say the demo features scenes that wouldn't be in the actual game LMAO I absolutely thought of KH too 😭😭ON TOP OF HAVING TO FINISH THE ENTIRE GAME TO GET TO IT... I imagine you could manage it over break though, it's supposed to be maybe 20 hours long or so!
