A new sculpture! Finally... I feel like I never sculpt anymore since I'm always sick or have some 500 other things going on or projects to finish, but I'm trying to schedule time to do it more often this year hopefully..! Just a generic fantasy creature as usual, but did try making the eyes a little more sparkly this time.. hrmm..

Here. this is $50. or more. or less.#negotiate. the worth is whatever you feel like it is so i personally dont have to make that decision. etc. lol... But etsy doesn't let you #do auctions or like pay what you want type stuff so.. then I was thinking ebay? but idk.. ANYWAY.. I want to set things #up so I can sell stuff again hopefully. I still haven't fully recovered from the costs of when I had to take my cat to the vet and put #them down last year and etc. So it'd be good to sell a few things. perhaps.. maychance... perhamble... so on and so forthe... ANYWAY #I was going for whiter more milky sort of hair that blends in closely with the skintone but after the paint dried it seems more yellowy kin #of. which is fine. But just not exacltly like my mind vision lol..#Also it's like... wow... someone with face spots and elf ears and a half open mouth with a gap tooth and wavy hair and kind of downturned #eyes... revolutionary... never been seen before... every sculpture I have ever made surely doesnt look licherally exactly like this... LOL #but maybe it's just a style. so what. People have their motifs lol.. Im just getting back into sculpting. I shall sameface in peace. huzzah #Just like the only thing I ever carve out of avocado pits anymore is eyes. Because that's just whats fun to do. I'm going to accumulate lik #25 similar avocado eyes and have nothing to do with them. I was thinking of stringing some together into a necklace of eyes or something li #like that but.. hrmm... ANYWAY.. Love to do the same things repetitively. :3c

I see from your URL you are a fellow lad of taste.

There's a couple things going on in the epigraph for Book 1. On one level, it's a lyric from the first muggle song I picture Draco listening to on his walkman at the end of the book, so there's a cute full-circle thing there. The second layer is the theme of change and redemption, which, in Lionheart, doesn't so much come from major moments or self-sacrifice, but from the slow, grueling, everyday work of living, and living better. It's a nice day to start again because every day is. You always have the opportunity to start making better choices, no matter what lies behind you. That's the thesis of any Draco redemption arc, right? You have to imagine that he could have chosen to be better.

And then thirdly, there's the audacity of doing a full Hogwarts canon rewrite, a good 30 years after the original books came out, millions upon millions of words of fanfic later, and basically asking everyone to read the same story they did the first time around, only different. So it's a kind of winking entreaty. It's saying to readers, many of whom are understandably wary of doing it over, zeroing out the characters to starting positions, and starting from the beginning with 11-year-olds all over again. It's going: "hey. That was fun, right? Why not do it again?"

AND killing really giant monsters #and it takes itself JUST seriously enough to nail all of that without getting mopey or goofy #movie of all time. someday i will kiss guillermo del toro on the lips #in my (delusional) world his oscar win was actually a belated award for pacific rim.

No matter what, I think that season 2 of The Penumbra Podcast (talking about Junoverse) will always be peak for me. Anytime I think about I’m just like. AAGHHH. It’s just SO good

the problem of the matter is i did internalize so much of what ex friend believed about me. even though i knew he was wrong and knew what was happening and tried to stop it and if i took more action to stop it would have been abusing power i held in a way i couldn't live with myself for.

#A BAD PERSON TRYING TO RUIN YOUR LIFE WOULD'VE GOTTEN YOU FIRED AND EVICTED IN WINTER IN ALASKA YOU MOTHERFUCKER. WHICH I DID NOT DO #he was renting a room from my dad. for cheaper than he wouldve been able to find anywhere else. his brother was too #his brother didn't pay rent for over 6 months and my dad just forgave him the debt because my dad knew how much of a difference it wouldve #made when he was that age. and i had told him ex friend was family to me & my dad applied that to the brother too. bc he is a good person.#and one of the strongest parts of my support system. and i didn't say a word to him about what was happening until i knew he already had a #plan for when he would be ending ex friend's lease. so there would be no subconscious impact on ex friend's housing either #mgmt at work straight up asked me if i thought ex friend should be fired immediately multiple times and i'm in retrospect livid they put me #in that position but told them to go by the strike system in the employee handbook and to follow policy that ex friend knew perfectly. that #it couldn't be on me as acting assistant manager to choose #and after 10 months of workplace harassment i got a different job to save my life. ex friend didn't get fired.#he did saw trap shit to my brain!!!!!! jesus christ #he moved cross country to live with his long time gf he called his wife despite never having met irl. to a way more conservative state.#despite being gay. and she left him this summer lol #hadn't checked his twitter in over a year when it got pulled up frm an old link and i saw that. and when he was already at a low point too #me voice. oh no who could've seen this coming. from how you behave in every relationship in your life #may delete this in the morning. but i have to talk about it sometimes #i'm never reaching out for closure both bc he wouldn't give me any and because i know it would trigger him and i don't intentionally trigge #people. unlike him :)#vampire pit #like. i have to talk about it sometimes. i have to talk about it.#jam posts

my friend's game crashed suddenly in the middle of the investigation during dangan time today ........ he hadn't saved the whole chapter.......... ah...

#bri talks #he's gonna catch up on his own time so we can get right back into it when we're all together #but man that sucks #in the future we're gonna set timers to remind him to save every 15 mins or so #i got stuck in a wall and had to repeat a lot of chapter 4 once before #but i've never seen it outright crash like that #and i initially played it on a low-power Kinda Crappy laptop #wonder what happened #... what is kinda funny though #is that we wanted to ensure he would have access to the rest of komaeda's FTEs but we didn't think he'd hang out with him on his own #so we lied and said there was a bug/flag error that made it so komaeda's free time events didn't work properly--#--if you didn't see his first event during the first chapter #... i guess the game being a little buggier than the first kinda ended up supporting my little fib. LOL

the one thing that is saving me in the "desperately needs to do an assignment that i cannot care about" department is the fact that i made an arrangement of this piece once. cause im not gonna lie if i had to sit here and analyze alto clef it would ALLLLLLL be over

#i can read alto clef if im actively playing it but sadly analysis is Not That #fuck alto clef and while im at it also fuck all of the other ones like tenor clef etc that are just alto clef but bad at parking. shut the #HELL UP and learn to read ledger lines like a NORMAL PERSON (<- not normal. what flute players do is Not Normal In The Slightest)#(fun fact. flute players read ledger lines so much that by my freshman year of college as a music major i could read a high D (not that #one. an octave Up from the one above the staff.) on sight without having to count ledger lines Despite Never Having Seen That #Note In Practice Before. also Nobody Else really does that as much as flute players because even violinists dont have to compete with the #entire rest of the ensemble being 8 billion other instruments on 8 billion different parts WHILE ALSO BEING THE ONLY INSTRUMENT FOR WHOM #DYNAMICS ARE ACTIVELY REALLY HARD NO MATTER WHAT REGISTER YOURE IN. so because of Flute Gravity (high note = loud. low note = soft)#composers write flutes to be Higher so that they will be Actually Heard and basically thats how you learn to read ledger lines. by counting #ledger lines until you no longer have to count ledger lines. YKNOW. THE WAY YOU DO WITH URI.#i have Never seen 우리 romanized as '(w)ooli' so WHAT'S UP WITH THAT.#and don't get me started on ㅗ. when they romanized jin/soul's name they kinda had the right idea in that it's a more rounded sorta 'o'#compared to ㅓ (during korean classes we called them low o and side o lol) BUT THEN. wy has the 'ou' in his name BUT IT'S ㅓ.#this is all to say your little guy's named uyeong. sorry #i feel like basing the romanization of korean on english is sorta stupid because they're different languages but ALSO because phonetically #english is in NO way consistent. so ㅓis 'u“ (jung) but also it's ”ou“ (wooyoung) and “eo” (hoseok). girl whatcha doing #when it's like. ʌ in ipa. sun + son + young. but it's ONE (1) SOUND.
