yk how when you put the frogs in the boiling water they jump out but if you put them normal water they just chill there and then you slowly boil it they just dies . like the first time you play through oneshot everythings chill like yeah the world's dying but its going so slow and like there aren't many squares so people are just really jaded about it and niko can just fuck around riding roombas and herding rams and eating pancakes but in the solstice playthrough the world is decaying way way way fucking faster and there's this sense of urgency that wasn't there in the last playthrough because people start to realize that they actually want to live and and and something something the eleventh hour from the ost

PROPAGANDA FOR NIKO Oneshot (pulling straight from my tags plus a little extra)

They canonically don't have any gender they really refer to! I think the creator uses they/them for Niko, so that's primarily what a lot of people use. Lots of nonbinary energy radiates from that cat.

They're so so so so SO precious! You can name yourself a swear word and Niko will gasp and say they can't say words like that. They LOVE pancakes, especially ones made by their mom! They want to help everyone and they love making jokes and you get to make them ride on a roomba which they think is fun.

On top of all of that: their current competition is the bajillionth warrior cat(exaggerating but not by much considering one of the current polls is just two warrior cats pitted against each other). I love warriors and I grew up reading a lot of the books but CMON....

Niko is precious and deserves to get to the next round and also to the end to be the winner of everything ever 😤

Thanks again for introducing me to that world with Niko, The World Machine, Alula, Calamus, Cedric, Silver, Prototype, and the others. Maybe one day we can shrink down and join Niko on the Roomba.

IT'S TIME TO FIGHT CRIME

OneShot Trailer

IT'S TIME TO FIGHT CRIME is a track that was added to the OneShot OST but did not appear in-game. In the World Machine Edition released in September 2022, it was added when Niko rides the roomba. Yes, that is official Nightmargin art. OneShot Trailer is self-explanatory. While the second motif in it is almost exactly the same as the Refuge's theme, the ascending sequence at the beginning is also recurring in a few other tracks such as Silverpoint, Library Stroll or Vestige.
