you saw it happen in the mcu again and again and wondered why nobody else seemed to learn the lesson.

it's not that there are no shows with queer relationships of course. it's just that most are very upfront about it or leave it vague enough that anyone with heteronormative lenses on doesn't pick up on it. nobody waits 7 seasons to float the idea an assumed-straight character might be bi.

you thought were prepared for star wars. so busy believing they wouldn't do a queer relationship but hey at least the resulting het relationship would be great. and then they did fucking reylo and you realized you can't even bet on the right het ships as you recall disney also wouldn't even follow through on clintasha.

so when you start watching another show tumblr's pretty hype about you don't expect nothing. like the canon relationships are great, and while you enjoy the fandom ships and queer heacanons you don't expect anything else. especially because the show has queer characters and relationships, they aren't afraid to go there they're just choosing not to with certain characters and hey, that's fine.

and then you catch up on the new season and that one supposedly straight dude IS KISSING ANOTHER DUDE WHAT THE FUCK I COULD'VE BEEN BETTING ON THIS THE WHOLE TIME I CAN'T EVEN USE CAPTAIN HOLT VINDICATION GIF BECAUSE I WAS SO SURE THIS WOULDN'T EVER HAPPEN.

Being aroace is so cool, but so, so hard sometimes. Watching all the persons you hold dear finding *their* person. Grieving the idea of an allo relationship. Realizing that, maybe, somehow, you're the second choice fo everyone. Because friends are great, but **lovers** are the goal in our society.

Most of the time, i am sooo happy to be aroace. And then, when im alone in bed, at 3 am, i find myself crying by fear of being alone.

And I think it's normal. It's grieving a certain way of thinking. And it's hard, especially when you were raised this way, and that everyone keeps doubting your identity.

So yeah. Shout-out to all the aroace people, wanting a deeper connection, without wanting romantic love.

ok so i read an article abt that article about the "godfather" of AI quitting google and.... it's bad. i mean, if THIS guy is saying this then it's truly serious. he basically explained that AI can be really dangerous in spreading disinformation, of course, but also that it can completely replace certain jobs and become smarter than humans which again can make some people's jobs (and entire process of acquiring knowledge) obsolete. why hire someone who studied for years to be an expert on something when an AI can learn all of it in a shorter timespan and accumulate much more knowledge than a person can too? and he said that he was one of the people who thought AI could become smarter in a short amount of time but that meant 30 or 40 years not in like 10 years :|
