idk how other ppl learn to read characters but even when someone has very few lines, if they're not a few throwaway lines and have a smidgen of thought put into them, you can really deduct a lot of things from what they say without mountains of dialogue and array of actions they take.

cIaus, even Iucas via his few lines and interactive dialogue, is so easy to understand and learn what hes about from the dialogue you are given. it shouldnt be hard to mess him up

and even tho these are more active characters in the story with goals to achieve and story beats to hit, u rly can apply the same to lngo and 3mmet. u can make assumptions or deduct possible aspects about how they act from breaking down their dialogue and possible routine. some things might be completely speculative and pulled out of thin air but as long as it matches the characters general front its hard to go wrong

anyway the boyfriend/girlfriend thing was essentially saying u shouldnt ask a coworker 'do you have a boyfriend' or 'do you have a girlfriend' bc it assumes someones sexuality and thats bad. u should say partner instead. and tbh my first thought was of one very gay coworker in my department and i was like bro if id walked up to him and asked if he had a boyfriend thats literally fine like i prommy hes not going to be offended that i can tell hes gay he knows everyone can tell hes gay. idk i get 'do you have a.... partner' all the time and its kind of annoying come on we can all tell just say girlfriend. theyre either saying partner because they can telll but they think its the pc thing to say or more likely theyre saying it because they are pretty sure im gay but want to confirm and this is their way of trying to seem subtle when asking. just fucking ask if im gay literally its fine yes i am. you think its offensive to ask but youre still asking youre just wrapping it in other words. the training had a q like 'what should u say in this situation' where the options were like 'you should say x thing' 'you should say y thing' 'its not a big deal' and i knew 'its not a big deal' was clearly a wrong answer but i was like sorry it physically pains me to lie i cant not select that option its how i feel

with the way that some of you talk about will you'd expect every other scene of his to be a suicide attempt, for there to be scenes of him talking about lonnie negatively or at-fucking-all, for there to be scenes where we can see this supposed disgust or hatred for his sexuality, for him to have been the one that said "what did you think really? that we were never going to get girlfriends and stay in my basement playing games for the rest of our lives?" and "it's not my fault you don't like girls!" and "we're friends! we're. friends.", for him to have been the one to make fun of mike's campaign, for him to have been the one to ditch his interests to be Cool and Grown, for him to be the one with the family that doesn't give a rat's ass about him, for him to be the one in a relationship with someone he doesn't love because he doesn't want to face the truth, for him to be the one that can't ever talk about his feelings or let himself feel them, for him to be the one avoiding love, for him to be the one that went through a depression and grief arc, for him to be the one that is shown to not be okay even when there's no supernatural fuckshit going on, for him to be the one isolating himself from his loved ones, and so on and so forth cutting this post short now even tho i could 100% go on and keep rattling off the Actually depressing shit tht you guys keep stealing from other characters on this show and trying to pin on him. but anyway ....
