change of plans. 

honestly, it feels weird to say because of how happy they make me, but i feel like i’ve been bogging myself down with iron maiden gifs a bit too much and it’s the kind of thing that i don’t notice until after i take break after break with less and less time in between. 

the problem is that i love(and will always love) iron maiden more than anything else, which is why no other band videos have felt right to gif because i wasn’t that interested in anything else. so i feel like suddenly getting back into sweet is exactly what i needed.

i have decided that i will slowly finish the iron maiden/bruce videos i’m currently in the middle of, concerts and everything, tie it all up as nice as possible, and then i’ll try a longer break from them than i’ve ever taken before and maybe branch out a little bit more to other things. or not even do anything the entire time, i have no idea, it’s whatever i feel like doing. or not doing.

i don’t have plans to stop permanently because there’s so many iron maiden things i still want to gif, but i guess i can’t really speak for my future self right now, which is why i want to finish what i’m in the middle of first.

this is just to let everybody know ahead of time that these are my current thoughts on the future direction of my blog.

LIFE, DEATH, AND THE FURY

I started Hades with the goal of romancing Meg, but over the past couple months I’ve played it through the end credits, maxed out some more bonds, and started trying higher heats! I love it utterly. Here’s to many more runs.

This is long overdue, but here is the ref sheet for Klaus Lierstark! He's the main character of my personal passion project where he's a monster hunter who, due to specific circumstances, lost 10 years of his memory and is working with a demon to get them back. The two of them travel through the mortal realm and through different planes later on, solving different dilemmas and unearthing the greater plots at play in their world. they also discover more about themselves and each other along the way!

Hopefully now that i'm on summer break i can start posting more official stuff for this project of mine!! im so excited to finally have more time in my life to write more for Klaus and his world! i hope you enjoy reading thru it twirls hair stick around if you wanna see his boyfriend's demon patron's ref sheet in about a month hehe

I'm celebrating 6 years of running this blog by going back to the very beginning of the blog and finding old posts to stock up my queue with and dripfeed steadily back into the Tumblr dashboard ecosystem

I wonder if Ines wears contacts.

We know that her Arts affect her vision, and the crystals under her eye suggest that this area is especially influenced by Oripathy. So, nowadays her vision is probably bad enough to require some aid, and she may need specialized eye medicine to deal with her Oripathy.

Of course, it's all good while she works for Babel/Rhodes Island, since she has access to people, medicine and technology to help her. But I imagine it was quite troublesome back in Kazdel/Reunion, when even a good meal wasn't a certainty, let alone specific medical help.

Another complication is that her vision may rapidly drop when she overuses her Arts, as seen in Darknights Memoir. It probably gets better afterwards, otherwise she would be blind by now, but it still causes some long-term damage. In that case, if she wears contacts, I imagine she removes them during Arts-intensive combat, since they would soon turn into more of a nuisance due to wrong prescription. Although, she can probably rely on her shadow vision to compensate, at least until she is safe enough to stop using her Arts.

And on a less dramatic note, her sewing hobby may also negatively affect her eyes, especially since she likely does it during evenings and doesn't always have adequate lighting. Obviously, it wouldn't affect her nearly as hard as the other things, but with her eyes already being at risk, it may contribute to the problem.

No, I'm not a terf, I support trans people 100%. Also terfs are uncomfortably cozy with the alt-right and that's uhhh... a whole other layer of awful.

But I think I may be following a secret terf? Tumblr keeps showing me these posts that are like "liked by someone you're following!" And I follow 4k people so I'm not like. Keeping track of anyone but my mutuals. And some of the posts tumblr shows me are obviously terfy which makes me go HMMMM but then some of them seem fine? So it's hard for me to tell the difference between "posts tumblr reccomends me that are normal and in line with the regular leftist and feminist things I'm into" vs like "posts tumblr reccomends me because they're liked by whatever secret terf I'm following and have suspicious undertones that aren't immediately obvious to me". I'm certainly not intentionally following any terfs or following anyone who publicly identifies as a terf* or puts terf shit on my dash but I'm apparently following someone who doesn't blog about terf shit but LIKES terf shit (and I think it might be a fandom blog so that makes it harder to identify) and then those likes show up on my dash and it's not always obvious that it's terf shit or from a radfem blog-- it's just a random posts from a url I don't know. And sometimes the posts themselves are fine on the initial read.

So pls let me know what the radfem blogs in question are so I can identify and remember them if they pop up on my dash again

*caveat that I've been on this website for 10+ years and follow 4,000+ people and it's theoretically possible that a blog I followed multiple years ago that I never see on my dash now publicly identifies as a terf, but I'm not gonna go through all 4k of my following to try and find out if any of them have become publicly shitty in a way that doesn't affect my dash in the years since I've followed them. I like to think of 3rd as a former bodyguard of All for One, maybe he wasn't born with a quirk too. Maybe he received one from All for One and dedicated himself to serving him as a result only to come to his senses later on.

There was a bit of time when I thought that the ponytailed masked bodyguard of AfO was going to turn out to be the same as the pineapple silhouette one, (the indents on one's mask being similar to the shape the other's headband made from the side) and that like, he put his hair up when he changed sides and wore slightly new clothes and that he was the one to either get Yoichi out of that vault or pass information onto Second so he could get him out. But then we got more clear shots of Third with lighter hair and it seemed more likely Giga was the fate of the bodyguard... But I'll always have a fondness for former AfO guard Third. Perhaps his turning is why Yoichi is glad to see Izuku trying to save Tenko, perhaps that's why Third kept away from Izuku, shame or sure that he'd fail because at least Third was an adult at the time, and what hope do they really have, and why drag the kid in further... Love that plus I think we really should have more former villains in the OfA lineup

hey, so people need to be aware that youtube is now (randomly) holding basic features for ransom (such as being able to pin comments under your own videos) in exchange for Your State ID/Drivers License, or a 30 Second Video Of Your Face.

not to pull a "think of the children," but No Actually. I've been making videos as a hobby since 2015 (and I've had my channel since middle school), I was a minor when I started and I'm not sure I would have understood the kind of damage something a seemingly simple as a video of your face can do.

this is a Massive breach of privacy and over-reach on google's part No Matter What, but if they're going to randomly demand a state ID or license then they absolutely should not allow minors to be creators.

google having a stockpile of identifying information on teenagers is bad enough, but the Alternative of recording your face and handing it over to be filed away is Alarming considering it opens the gates for minors who Aren't old enough to have a license.

and yes, there is a third option, but it's intentionally obtuse. a long wait period (2 months), with no guarantee of access (unlike, say, the convenience of using your phone's cameras for either of the other two), with absolutely No elaboration on what the criteria is or how it's being measured.

it's the same psychological effect that mobile games rely on. offer a slow, unreliable solution with no payment to make the Paid instant gratification look more appealing (the "payment" in this case being You. you are the product being offered).

something like pinned comments may seem simple, you don't technically Need it. but it's a feature that's been available for years. most people don't look at descriptions anymore. so when there's relevant information that needs to be delivered then the pinned comment is usually the go to.

for my little channel that information is about the niche series I create for. guides on how to get into the series, sources on where to find the content At All (and reliably so). for other creators it can be used for things Much More Important.

I was just getting ready to have Smiler super-sell the rest of the greenhouse when I checked back in on Victor –

I. I got a notice from the game that Victor had picked up the Curse of Repulsiveness from a failed potion, as Victor himself turned green and warty. Shit – should have gone with the “Hexproof” Talent!

II. I got a notice from the game that Victor’s potion had failed, but he HAD managed to get a Bottle of Questionable Contents from the failure.

III. I got a notice from the game that Victor had successfully completed an aspirational milestone and thus had completed his New Year’s resolution!

Yes, apparently failing his Potion of Nausea and getting a bottle of – stuff counted as brewing another potion to the game! XD Well, I happily took it, as did Victor. Once he woke up after fainting from the fumes of his vile potion. XD And the curse was no big deal, as Victor has LOADS of aspiration points, and thus was easily able to buy himself some Potion of Curse Cleansing and down it to clear the curse. (That should PROBABLY be more expensive in the rewards store, but currently not complaining.)

-->Anyway – with Victor’s curse cleansed, and Smiler having cleared out his cauldron for him while he was unconscious, I sent him to join Alice for a nap (she’d already zoomed off to bed earlier for a snooze after having her waffles and taking care of business afterward), while Smiler super-sold the greenhouse and then flew up to their party barn area to practice mixology – after all, they did have a house party to rock that afternoon! Alice woke up first – I had her go talk to Smiler’s Sixam Mosquito plant Snappy, as per her wants, then sent her downstairs and, eventually, got her to take Shadow for a jog to both make the dog happy and continue working on her Fitness. Smiler then got their Plasma Fizz and started work on some Strawberry Fizz while Victor got up, Repairioed a busted water collector, and cleaned up some dishes and such around the house –

TRANS OHIOANS - START STOCKPILING YOUR HRT AND PLAN HOW YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE YOUR TRANSITION CARE

Ohio has taken a page out of Florida’s book and is proposing to effectively ban adult transition care via the requirements of numerous specialists - a psychiatrist, endocrinologist, and a bioethicist.

Since most trans people get their HRT from nurse practioners via the informed consent model, this will create undue burden on both trans people and the medical system -- the bottlenecks will effectively ban transition care for adults. This is what has happened in Florida, and Ohio's rules look much more draconian and surveiliance-heavy. All trans healthcare will be reported to the state.

These new rules have not taken effect yet. Trans Ohioans should plan for the worst now.

As a Floridian who saw the writing on the wall and fled his state (my clinic hasn't been allowed to fill HRT prescriptions since May 2023 now) -- do not delay on making preparations. If this is approved, the rules will likely catch everyone by surprise. Start talking with your providers now and plan out your options assuming the ban will take place.
