What are thoughts on Hakuouki boys and praise? 🤔

Praises

(to) heisuke: would *melt* at a well-timed praise, and also probably a poorly timed one. extremely embarrassed about it, but in a safe space and with a safe person (like you and y'all's sex life), would preen and blush at hearing "you feel incredible" and "you're doing so good" while engaging in illicit activities~

(from) heisuke: heisuke is REALLY good at soft and intimate praising in bed. he wants desperately to make you feel good so right up until the moment he's stuck stuttering your name as he cums, he's brushing your hair out of your face describing how beautiful you are to him, how much he loves you, and "you're doing so good love, just like that" and "hold my hand and keep going, you're perfect, everything's perfect", and especially: "we can take all night, i'm all yours, i'll always be yours, i'll give my everything to you"

(from) ryouma: ryouma is a SLEEZE (affectionate). he knows how to slime you up and get you ready for penetration with his praise (i'm sorry lol). even disregarding his one liners though, he's all about a partner who can take charge and rough him up a bit (step on him). his praises are very much along the line of genuinely praising his partner bc he thinks they are his god/goddess. think: "damn the way you do it really gets me going" or "you really know how to tease me" in honest awe.

(from) kondou: gurrrrrllllll (gender neutral) i know we sit on this man bc he's kind of dad and he's maybe got a wife if you don't ignore that part of canon, but i believe he has a Very Experienced Tongue in all manners. In a modern time, he's the kind of guy who's got it (mostly) together and will confidently text you that he's thinking about you and he "can't stop thinking about your ass" and somehow you're into it? around the canon period though, he's very busy with his whole samurai thing, so when he does come home to you he's on his hands and knees ready to make it up to you in the best ways he knows how. He's mature enough to praise "I love the way you taste" and young enough to call him commander and "lord/daimyo" in bed and use his position in your more ~playful~ sessions ("You do so well serving your lord, I should reward you well").

(from) souma: the king of baby to daddy himself! you can't imagine the things he's heard in prison! and after his years of repression, he's ready to take back control of his life and please you the way you need. He's promising "you can take it" while he brings you to your third orgasm of the night, calling you "my perfect little princess/prince/majesty", and encouraging every moan and sigh you let slip.

(to) nomura: he's almost to completion already if he hears the words "my pretty boy" come out of your mouth. he loves to hear you tell him how "sweet it is that he's so desperate for you". number 1 ready-to-please sub in hakuouki, he wants you to tell him what to do and then praise him for it when he does it.

(from) iba: he's a praised and a body worshipper 100%. this man knows All of your moles, curves, expressions, everything, and he loves you for all of it. As soon as he enters/touches you he's all about how "you're so tight/hard". His panting breaths at your ear are the only warning you get before he's biting and licking them, murmuring that "you have no idea what you're doing to me, you're making me feel so good, no one else makes me feel this fucking good". hell, before you even get to the main meal he's asking you to "wait a second, i want to savor this view".

(from) hajime: saito hajime is a man of few words, but when those words come out in bed, they HIT. a soft "come for me, you can do it" here and a sigh of a "you listen so well" there is all he needs to have his partner feeling thoroughly praised.

special mention (from)s souji & sanan: their praises are like sour patch kids. they look delicious, sound a little like you shouldn't be letting them explode in your mouth, but the sweet taste underneath is the real gem and their unique flavor is always intriguing. think praises with a bite; "I know that's not all you've got", "You can do better than that, there it is, good job", "You can handle it", "Your pout is beautiful, but I know your lips would look gorgeous somewhere else", "Show me that you're my good girl/boy/slut", "Keep going, yeah just like that darling, now faster".

there's definitely more i could say here so if there's anyone specific anyone wants to ask abt feel free!! these are just who came to mind off the top of my head, but i'm even still thinking about more from's (harada, amagiri, kimigiku, yamazaki, kosuzu) and more to's (souji in special circumstances, motoyama, yamazaki, miki)

Hakuouki headcanon: the Shinsengumi going to a ghost house

Modern settings, all the guys don't have the baggage from years of fighting and are not used to seeing gore. I end up tagging every character I mentioned but they don't necessarily get a detailed description of their reactions.

What if the Shinsengumu guys go to a ghost house together

Scenario: The baka trio is the one that comes up with the idea of going to a ghost house together with everyone else. Kondou agrees, thinking that it is good for group bonding. Hijikata and Sannan reluctantly agree.

The ones who will be very little scared or not scared at all: Kondou, Hijikata, Sannan, Nagakura, Harada, Shimada, Yamazaki, Souji, Saitou, Gen.

The ones who will be slightly scared: Heisuke.

The ones who will be most scared: Souma, Nomura.

What will happen:

Souji will be actively trying to make people scared by making ominous noises or sneaking up on them. Hijikata will be his first target but Hijikata is so used to Souji's bullshit that he will not act scared at all. Souji will also try to draw some reactions from Saitou but Saitou is so stoic that Souji fails to gain much reaction from Saitou. Souji will then try to pick up on Heisuke, who will get creeped out by sudden noises and scolds Souji for doing that. However, Souji's best success is when he tries to attempt those tricks on Souma and Nomura, who get scared awfully so they start shaking and say embarrassing stuffs loudly for everyone in the ghost house to hear.

Nagakura and Harada will be having fun talking about the elements of the ghost house. They will not be scared very much but when they see Heisuke being creeped out by Souji's trick, they will be making lighthearted jokes about Heisuke being still a kid and being scared of ghosts.

Hijikata will scold Souji for trying to scare people and everyone for being so loud.

Yamazaki will just be quietly walking with everyone while giving Souji judgmental glances.

Kondou and Gen will try to be the adults among these kids and fail spectacularly.

While all of this happens, Sannan stays silent but when he opens his mouth, the Shinsengumi realizes that the scariest thing among this ghost house is not any of the dummies or the staffs trying to scare them, it is Sannan. Sannan will probably attempt to make some people scared but unlike Souji, he will not be so obvious with his attempt and just add to the general ghost house atmosphere by making some seemingly unintentional comments. He will probably succeed at making Hijikata's spine feel chilly and enjoy teasing Hijikata. Yamazaki, Heisuke, Souma, Nomura number among the people who are his easiest victims. In the ghost house, the entire group gets separated at some point and it is said that the person who has to walk with Sannan alone (Yamazaki, Heisuke, Souma, or Nomura) comes out of the ghost house traumatized and forever changed. Since then, no one ever invites Sannan to go to a ghost house anymore.

October 1866, a few new people had joined the Shinsengumi during the summer. Among them was Kazue Souma and Risaburo Nomura, they are to became Kondou’s pages. Another young man had also joined, Tetsunosuke Ichimura, who has become Hijikata’s page. Along him was Tatsunosuke, his older brother. The brothers were both taken in, though with how young Tetsunosuke was, there was a bit of resistance until Tatsunosuke convinced Kondou and Hijikata.

Chizuru was to be in charge of teaching them how to do their job, being she’s Haruka’s page. Of course, none them knew she was a woman as her pretending to be a male.

“Yukimura-senpai?” Souma said. “Is this tea alright?”

“Ah, well..It might be a bit too hot.” Chizuru said.

“Oh. I guess it is hot today..” Souma looked down at the tea.

“So what do we do? Water it down? ” Nomura asked.

"I-It will lose flavor that way, Nomura.." Chizuru pointed out

"Ah, right..." Nomura tilted his head back thinking.

“What about cooling it down with well water?” Tetsunosuke said.

“Oh! That’s smart!” Nomura looked at the younger boy in delight.

“Ah! Wait!” Chizuru said. “It doesn't have to be that cold, just a little warmer than room temperature.”

“Oh, yeah, you’re right. Hmm…” Tetsunosuke crossed his arms to think.

That’s when they heard footsteps. “I see we have new members.” The four of them turned to see Haruka.

“Haruka-san! You’re back!” Chizuru said. “Did things go well?”

Haruka sighed. “It bared no fruit, I’m afraid. I thought it was worth the trip but it seems it really was too good to be true. Sorry, Chizuru.”

“Oh..I see.” Chizuru then put her hands together. “Ah, I should introduce you!” At each them, Chizuru introduced the boys to Haruka. “These are new pages. Kazue Souma, Risaburo Nomura, and Tetsunosuke Ichimura. Souma and Nomura are Kondo-San’s page. Tetsunksuke is Hijikata’s.”

Haruka put a hand on her hip. “Oh? Didn’t think Hijikata would take a page for himself.” She then smiled at the three. “I’m Haruka Shinomi. And Chizuru is my page.”

“Sorry but I wasn’t aware the Shinsengumi let women joined.” Souma said.

“Yeah, thought it was just men.” Nomura said.

“I’m not part of the Shinsengumi. I’m an Okuzume working with them.”

“O-Okuzume!” Nomura said.

“Shinomi…” Tetsunosuke thought for a second. “Ah! The Icy Okuzume!? Then you are Shinomi-sama!” The three boys then stepped back.

Haruka caught on to the young boys words and kept them for later. “No need to be so formal.”

“W-We don’t?” Souma asked.

Haruka shook her head. “No. Not at all.” She then looked at Chizuru. “Did Shigeru give you any trouble?”

“Not at all.”

“Wait..that baby is yours?” Nomura blinked at Haruka.

Haruka just nodded her head. “He is. I’m married to the 10th division captain, Sanosuke Harada.”

“This…is a lot of information to take in.” Souma said.

Haruka chuckled. "Well, you'll get used to it. Along with other surprises the Shinsengumi can come up with.... Anyway, Chizuru, how do you think their doing?"

Chizuru smiled. "They're eager to learn and get along well. I've been teaching them what I know, like serving tea and how to attend to Hijikata-san and Kondo-san."

"That's good." Haruka said. "Guess you're actually a good teacher. And for you three," she turned to Souma, Nomura, and Tetsunosuke, "I'm available for advice if Chizuru can't help you with something."

"Thank you, Haruka-senpai," Souma said, expressing gratitude.

Haruka nodded. "Alright, I'll let you continue what you were doing." She then walked away, off to find her husband and son. But when she found a moment, she was able to pull Tetsunosuke alone in a room.

“Tetsunosuke…Why did you call me Shinomi-sama?”

“B-Because the Shinomi clan protects us..”

“Who told you this? And what do you mean by us?”

Tetaunosuke looked down. “My father told me that we could rely on the Shinomi clan if we ever ran into one. Tatsunosuke and I are..well..”

“Ichimura…You were a small demon clan right?”

Tetsunosuke nodded his head. “We were..basically ran out of our home by humans. And not a lot of us found a place to live. My older brother and I are the only ones left.”

Haruka sighed. “Ah. I guess I need to update that...Tetsu-kun..If you want to call me Shinomi-sama, it’s okay. But do not reveal what you are, okay? The only people who now about demons at the moment are myself, Miko, Shota, and My husband, Harada.”

“Not even Hijikata-san knows?”

“No. There may be a time where that comes but not soon. If anything, I will reveal it when the time is right. Understood?”

Tetsunosuke nodded his head. "T-Thank you, Haruka-sama." "Thank me?" "Yeah. Tatsu-nii and I have a home again. Even if it is with the Shinsengumi, we feel we belong. And with you here, it feels even better! We owe you!"

Haruka gave a soft smile. "Just don't get in trouble, Tetsu-kun. Tell you're brother the same thing I just told you, Okay?" Tetsunosuke just nodded his head gratefully.

Reunion [Chizuru x Souma] [One-shot]

Spoilers for Souma’s route.

Souma was returning to her at last.

Three years had passed since his surrender and subsequent arrest as the final Chief of the Shinsengumi and not a day of that had gone by when Chizuru hadn’t found herself yearning to be by his side after all they had been through. She kept replaying their final night together in her head on a loop during those first initial months when she’d been terrified that she might wake up to the news of Souma’s execution.

Fortunately, that hadn’t happened and today they would be reunited.

Not to mention she had something to tell him.

Or rather, someone for him to meet.

“Okaa-san? How much longer?” The small child in her arms wriggled around, his brown hair unkempt while the breeze that surrounded them on the docks where they were waiting only added to his unruly mess of hair.

“Just a little longer.” Chizuru murmured to him, pecking his forehead affectionately.

It had been difficult starting over when Souma had left. Everyone she had known within the Shinsengumi was either dead or missing. The only person she had left to turn to was Dr Matsumoto who had graciously taken her in as an apprentice where she studied rigorously under him. He’d also been the one to recognise the signs of her pregnancy first. When she’d found out she wanted nothing more than to tell the father of her child, but she’d been allowed no contact with him.

And so they had to wait it out.

There had been no shortage of names to choose from when Matsumoto placed a bundle into her exhausted arms and told her she’d had a healthy baby boy. Chizuru had known so many good men who had given their lives for their country, and whom had given their lives so that she and Souma could live to see this day.

But there was one young man in particular who had sacrificed himself during their mission to commandeer the Ironclad warship so that Souma would return to her.

Risaburou Nomura - Souma’s best friend.

And much like his namesake, her little Risaburou was exceptionally lively and ungodly cheeky.

Chizuru couldn’t wait for Souma to meet his son.

“Is that you Chizuru-san?” It was his voice! She relished hearing it for the first time since his departure 3 years ago.

Immediately she spun around to see him standing before her and a smile bloomed across her face, her cheeks warming as blood rushed to them.

“Souma!” Their eyes met and before she knew it she’d hurried forward to place her hand against his cheek, savouring the touch of his chilled skin under her palm.

He brought his hand up to hold hers against his face and he closed his eyes with a smile.

“I dreamed of this moment for so long. I can’t believe I’m really here.” He smiled again and his eyes shined.

She was pulled back to attention when Risaburou poked her cheek indignantly.

“Okaa-san! What about me?”

Chizuru chuckled to herself and for the first time she saw Souma look at their son, perhaps having not noticed him after being caught up in the moment of their reunion.

“Who is...?” Souma couldn’t hide his uncertainty on his face. He almost definitely had already thought of the correct answer but wasn’t quite willing to dare to share his thoughts.

Chizuru beamed. “This is Risaburou. He’s your son. Our son.”

Souma was rendered speechless as he processed what she had told him. When he finally came to he couldn’t stop the shock from leaking into his voice.

“Our son...? Son...? I have a son...?” Then he met her eyes again.

“Risaburou? That name...”

“I thought it was what you would have wanted,” she said softly. “He was your best friend after all.”

Already Souma had bowed his head eagerly and regarded Risaburou with bright eyes that were verging on tears. “I’m happy to meet you, Risaburou!” It was perhaps a strange way to greet a small toddler but Chizuru sensed the sincerity behind the gesture.

Risaburou pouted a little. “You’re my Otou-san?” Chizuru smiled sheepishly at Souma.

“He’s just being shy. Ever since I’ve told him you were returning he’s been chatting non stop. He’s told every patient who came to see Matsumoto that he was going to meet you.”

Souma blushed. “I hope as a father I can live up to those expectations.”

The three of them returned to Dr Matsumoto’s clinic where Chizuru and their son had been living with the doctor for the past 3 years. Matsumoto was currently out of town which meant that after Chizuru had put Risaburou to bed, only she and Souma remained in the sitting room.

She took a place beside him and he quickly entwined their fingers, a blush on his face.

“What are you thinking?” She asked him, her heart already fluttering from the warmth of their joined hands.

“I can’t believe... that I’m really a father.” He murmured, eyes trancelike before he snapped out of it and she saw traces of guilt flicker in them instead.

“It must have been difficult bringing up a child without a father.” He squeezed her hand but Chizuru gave him a small smile in response.

“Maybe. But I had Dr Matsumoto to help me. And you’re here now.” The emotions she’d withheld earlier for the sake of their son now poured down her cheeks.

“I missed you so much! There wasn’t a day that went by when I didn’t think of you, Souma.” She didn’t know when he’d drawn her into his embrace but she pressed her ear over his rapidly beating heart, taking in the familiar smell of chestnuts.

“I was the same.” He whispered into her hair. “Thinking of you and what was waiting for me if I got out - that was what got me through the years. I just didn’t think I’d have a family to protect when that time came.”

His voice cracked and he hugged her tighter. “Thank you for waiting for me Chizuru-san. Thank you for bringing our son into the world.” She nodded.

For a while longer they stayed like that, wrapped in each other’s embrace until his hoarse whisper - rough from his tears - reached her ear.

“Marry me.”

Chizuru let out a small gasp and untangled herself to meet his earnest eyes.

“From now on I’ll never leave your side. You and Risaburou. I’ll protect you both with my life. I promise. So would you do me the honour of being my bride?”

Her lips were on his before he could say another word, her hand reaching to meet his cheek as she kissed him tenderly before drawing away, breathless.

“Of course.” She whispered to him, resting her forehead against his. “I love you Souma.”

“And I you, Chizuru-san.”
