My main fandoms now are: Demon Slayer, Spy x Family and Naruto.
I will update my fandom list to the new information
I am still Dawn 🌸🇫🇷
I am a French writer. So sorry if I do have mistakes in my English.
My ships in KNY are the canon ships. But I do like non-canon ships, long as they're not gross or nonsense.
My favorite KNY at the time is Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
I have OCs. Miyoshi, Suna and Kunjuro Tsugikuni, Yoriichi and Uta's children.
Mizu Todoroki who is Obanai and Mitsuri's adopted daughter and the rest of Mizu's little siblings.
Naruto favorite ships are NaruHina and SasuSaku 🍥☀️ 🍅🌸
I have my Naruto OCs ever since I was a teenager, Sasuke and Sakura's children, Ryusuke and Mio. Sarada is an older sister, she is the canon SasuSaku child, my OCs are her fanmade siblings.
I do draw some simple doodles. My OCs are always my favorite stuff to draw.
My understanding of the straw hats based on OPLA, the first 66 episodes of the anime and being on the internet at some point in the last 20 years feat: the best art ms paint can supply on a way too zoomed in canvas
(this isnt an invertation for spoilers btw please dont confirm or deny any of these)
Do you take commissions? If so, do you have a commission sheet? I’m sorry if this is an annoying ask I just really love your work lol
not annoying at all! i really really appreciate this a lot, thank you!
i have done commissions in the past on other platforms, but for now i am not taking them here. i'm not saying that i never will, because sometimes life is.. you know. Like That™️. but for now i'm steering clear of it to try and keep my passion up! 👍
btw if youre an artist please go to artstation to look for inspo instead of pinterest. not only will you get good quality images but also youre not looking at reposts, you can easily find more stuff from the same artist and if youre brave enough you can potentially upload work yourself and make yourself an online portfolio
i dont see a lot of people talk about artstation, i assume its because its mostly realism-esque drawings on there but you need to know fundementals to know how to make sillier styles work so theres no harm in finding professionals in realism that may inspire your non-realism work
please just use artstation for me if all of that didnt convince you
Honestly, "He would not fucking say that" as a criticism of fan fiction people don't like often feels not a million ways away from "Why are they all singing and dancing?" from people who don't like musicals to me.
This is going to be such a weird and long ask, but what do you think of Michael Jackson as a dancer? I knew he was a great performer, but I was really surprised that he was crowned as one of the best dancers by Fred Astaire, despite the fact that Jackson was not a professionally trained dancer. For context, before stumbling on your blog (which I'm very grateful for between) I always thought that, usually, main dancers in a kpop group were on the same level as professional dancers, so when you explained the real gap, it made me think of how we view performers like Beyonce and Michael Jackson as some of the best dancers, but I don't know whether these comparisons are made with only other singers in mind, or if they really are considered among the best dancer, including professional dancers. Your thoughts?
oh no michael jackson was the real fucking deal. his body control was insane he is legit one of the greatest dancers of all time. it's also important to remember that michael jackson was a street dancer, which was a form that was quite literally growing with him. of course he wasn't professionally trained as a dancer; at what school?? nowadays we have dancers who are professionally trained in hiphop, popping, locking, and other types of street dance, but as a form, these genres are probably only about 50-60ish years old; tony gogo (who worked WITH mj) is still alive and occasionally working. michael jackson was a HUGE part of the reason why schools for street dance even exist at all, bc he was the one who made the form popular. he's the blueprint for the pop star, the reason why we even HAVE kpop in the first place. the thing about the performing arts is that because there are so many aspects of it, you're almost always going to find someone who has better technique in some way; yes there are better dancers than michael jackson now, just as there are better singers, better musicians, etc etc etc. but art isn't about technique, it's about what you DO with that technique, what you make with it, and how influential you become. when someone is recognized as being the 'best', it's always a combination of skill, artistic ability, and influence, and that's something that other artists will always acknowledge.
everyone talking about their most-listened music lists via pandora/spotify/apple and meanwhile my early-2000s-channeling ass is only listening to shit on youtube ✌🏼
An art teacher of mine said composition was the most important part of an artwork. If your composition sucks, doesn't matter how detailed your work is, it will still suck. "Put as much glitter on a turd as you want, it's still a turd. Get that composition done."
For Artfight it's basically an event hosted for the whole month of July where you're sorted into two teams to attack each other. You gain points by attacking/drawing oc art for the other team so the competition encourages people to draw and hopefully receive more art!
The Artfight tumblr has a post on it but it's also on artfight.net
I see this year won't be a year of much fanart, ~like someone care😒, i accepting that this year won't be a year that i will draw much, I mean i will draw a lot, but nothing interesting
Every now and then I'm reminded Real People with Actual Jobs use tumblr and I've always been legitimately curious what all you weird adults are up to when you're not on this site and with tumblr's New Poll Feature I can finally get an answer! (or the closest approximation of an answer possible with only 10 available options h a)
I used to teach painting parties, which gives a lot of insight into the artistic skill set of the average, non-artistic person. Let me tell you….most adults struggle to remember which colors make other colors.
I’ll ask “okay, which colors make purple?”
And I’ll get a very long audience pause in response, before someone very cautiously answers.
One of the most frustrating things for a party guest was being able to create, not just the color I instructed them to make initially, but having to make the color again. I’ve seen all manner of professionals furrow their brows, wasting entire plates of paint just trying to replicate a color they were using five minutes ago. (And not succeeding, they sheepishly ask for help)
Mixing paint and knowing how to apply it is a skill. I’ve had guests ask me ‘how are you doing that?’ ‘She makes it look so easy’
I went to school! That’s exactly what I tell them. There are entire units and lesson plans in college just dedicated to critical painting fundamentals. We were made to mix paints into wheels and various gradients. I was taught how to manage different kinds of paints for the desired texture or consistency.
“I could make that!”
My dear, I can paint. I have a degree. I am a professional.
I have no fuckinh idea how he made that canvas that blue,
