Noob adventures:

Today Merlot found an easier solution to his injuries in the form of a tonic. Having healed himself, he decided to spend the day at the circus.

He visited the fortune teller, the gondola to the depths, and the anatomy tent, taking particular interest in the male anatomical model. His later encounter with a rubbery man in the same tent, however, left him feeling disturbed and scandalized for even being around such a thing. To make things worse, his fortune included lots of tentacles.

Afterwards he attended the big show, taking note that it's a good place to meet with associates of other people but not speaking to anyone yet.

On the way home, he bought a goldfish to stave off the nightmares of the deep that he'd have later on.

Sonic Adventure 2 was my heavy ref for this, I love that game, but this was for Regretevator! They were doing a submission for floppy covers for the floppy shop floor I think and I submitted this :]

…I thought up a Forsaken au, based upon the song “Make Believe” by Jakeneutron.

Basically, Specter underestimates c00lkidd and after deleting a now useless survivor, (couldn’t create anymore agony anymore), it causes c00lkidd decide to snap and manages to overtake the Specter. Probably corrupting his code, like the jerk deserves. Regardless of the Specter’s fate, c00lkidd then gains control over everything.

c00lkidd then transforms the Forsaken realm into a personal playground, instead of freeing everyone. Now everyone has to survive the rule of a traumatized 10 year old who desperately wants to make all the bad feelings go away.

It’s basically shifts from different play styles, with everyone forced into different roles (Shedletsky, Guest 1337, and Taph are usually put in the “bad guy” role, cause they’re meanie heads in c00lkidd’s opinion. Chance barely gets out of it, cause c00lkidd thinks he’s a clown… and he is)(Elliot is always made to be the main villain or dies in a stupid way as c00lkidd’s running “joke” because c00lkidd decided Elliot was his nemesis, who he also hates)

Now, everyone has to make an uneasy truce to find a way to convince c00lkidd to let everyone out.

Also, you may ask… where’s 007n7 in all this? To that I say- who do you think was the deleted survivor?

This is based off my au but I like to imagine Bi-Han regaining his humanity, taking orders from no one, but still looks like Noob, so everyone’s convinced he’s still like Noob. And he just uses this to troll people. Like:

Frost on her first mission to Outworld, standing in the middle of a crowed street and turns around to see Noob staring at her and she just- pauses.

Then he takes a step forward, causing her to take a step back. They do this a couple times and then he starts sprinting at her. Cue the most terrifying chase of her life because Noob’s know to have extreme prejudice against the Lin Kuei and has tried to murder his own brother several times.

Just before he grabs her, he just teleports away, leaving her shaken and anxious as all hell.

Bi-Han, returning to his temporary hide out with a shit eating grin: Did you see that?

Sareena: What? You nearly giving that poor girl a heart attack?

Havik, perking up: Did you have fun?

Bi-Han, side stepping her to look at him: Absolutely.

Sareena: Well, I’m glad you’re happy, but if you ignore me again I’ll cut off what’s left of your nose.

Meanwhile…

Frost, grabbing Kuai Liang by his shoulders: I hate your brother.

Kuai Liang: ???

Taking a break from his war against the rats, Merlot visited the scarred naturalist to hold up his end of the deal on info. Trading the freshly slain rats, he was told many things about the creature, how it smothered its prey in its wings, fangs that could break off and kill victims days later, its taste for royal blood, and how it may have existed for thousands of years. He didn't quite understand the significance of a "second city", but he was glad for the information.

The next day he resumed his efforts in helping the Clay Coalman. He bared his fangs and showed his fists at the right people, eventually tracking down the culprit and giving him his just desserts. Afterwards, when he returned the stolen secrets to his clay friend, he advised him to support the revolution. Bringing another clay man might subject him to the same persecution, so it would be wise to befriend those who stand against such things. The coalman agreed and was happy to help the revolution, even if he didn't completely understand their ideals.

Afterwards, he returned to his lodgings to resume his war against the Rattus Faber, with thoughts of the Vake in the back of his mind. Even though he was a vampire, Merlot wouldn't stand a chance against such a beast. He was no undead lord with hordes of minions, he was a vermin hunter living in a smoky flophouse. He would need to hone his skills to even survive an encounter with such a beast, a challenge he willingly accepted. He hoped that his beloved Erasmus, wherever he was, would be proud of him.

Further notes: Merlot fought hard against the Rattus Faber. It turned out that they were using his dwellings as a stash house. He faced off against their chief, but decided to spare the rodent. He fought admirably and had no reason to take any more rodent lives, his debt to the scarred naturalist had been paid already. Perhaps the bandit chief could find some manner of redemption? After all, rats are people too.
