I brushed out my hair, my robe wrapped around my body. My husband walked up and leaned on the bathroom doorway, his arms folded over one another and a fond smile on his lips.

“You’re so beautiful, you know that?” Dennis said softly to me, I looked up with a hint of a blush on my rosy cheeks. 

“Thank you.” I replied sheepishly, even though we had been married five years and had a child together, he still made me feel the butterflies. 

“Is there chance I can steal you away for an evening?” Dennis smirked confidently, I chuckled. 

“Where are you taking me, stud?” I questioned with a childish smile, 

“Your choice, we could go to the Tipsy Brahmin, The Diner, The Cat’s Paw, or we could take the sedan and go to Starlight.” Dennis gave me a few options. I thought for a while, thinking of which we haven’t been to in a while. 

“The Cat’s Paw.” I finally replied, Dennis smiled. 

“Deal.” He nodded, he kicked himself off the wall and went into the room, he had taken a shower that morning, so he didn’t need one at the moment. I finished brushing my hair, then I brushed my teeth, and put my makeup on.  

Dennis got dressed in a nicer outfit, it’s a faded black suit with a white shirt and ribbon in the shape of makeshift bow. He fixed his hair blindly, he sat on the bed and boot his shoes on, black dress shoes. 

“Baby, I’ll be in the living room!” Dennis called to me, once he was ready. 

“Okay, I’ll be out in a minute!” I called from the bathroom. Dennis walked out of the bedroom and shut the door behind him. I finished styling my hair, it was an evening style. I fluffed it and walked out. 

My bare feet smacked against the wood floor as I walked to my dresser. I opened it and dug through it, I looked at different dresses in the tall-body mirror. I wrinkled my nose at most of my choices. 

Finally, I picked up the white dress, I looked at it and nodded. I set it on the bed and took my robe off. I picked up the dress again and slipped it over my head, putting my arm through the hole of the only sleeve. 

I smooth out the wrinkles as I looked at myself in the mirror, I smiled at the way I looked. I twirled a bit and fixed any cricks in the dress. I sat on the bed and put the matching black and white heels on. 

I stood tall and got used to the heels, I walked over to the mirror and looked at myself one more time. I was satisfied with my look, so I headed out of the bedroom. Dennis looked up, his eyes lit up, like he was seeing me for the first time. 

“Wow, you’re stunning.” He said breathlessly, I bit my lip and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear as I walked up to him. 

“You look sharp, yourself.” I complimented, he smiled and held out his hand, I took it, and he led me out of the house. We walked outside with our arms locked. It was night in Sanctuary City, it was still bustling, despite the late hours. Traders were still going about with their brahmins. 

The streetlights lit our way, we used the sidewalk like we used to in the prewar era, we had it repaired, so there was no more cracks or holes in it.

We got to The Cat’s Paw, just a few moments later. We walked inside and noticed it was busy. The bartender was filling drinks and making food, most of the tables were full, a few people were on stage, a woman we knew as Olivia and a man named Otto. He played the piano while Olivia sang old world tunes. 

Dennis and I sat at one of the empty tables. We looked around and noticed some of our mutual friends inside. Like Piper, Deacon, Hancock, and MacCready. They weren’t sitting together, but they were present. 

The colorful lights set the mood. I sighed a long breath, 

“You okay?” Dennis asked, 

“Yeah, just nice to get out.” I replied with a smile, we haven’t gone out in a while and with everything that’s happened this week, it was nice to have a night off. 

“I’m going to get a drink and some food, what do you want?” Dennis questioned as he stood up, 

“A beer and a sting wing filet.” I replied quickly, Dennis nodded and kissed my hand before walking up to the counter. Hancock noticed him as well as Piper, they looked for me and headed towards me. 

I tapped my fingers on the table as I watched Olivia singing. She was a decent singer; I was impressed with her. 

“Hey sunshine.” Hancock said as he plopped down in Dennis’s seat, he took a swig of his beer. 

“Hey, Han. You get any ladies tonight?” I teased with a smirk, 

“Nah, Piper refused and your taken.” Hancock replied with a shrug, Piper rolled her eyes. 

“Find Cait, she’d sleep with you.” She snorted, I chuckled. 

“I mean unless your fella wants a little action with us, I can provide.” Hancock said in a flirty tone. I gave him my knowing look. 

“Oh Hancock, you’ve discovered out dark secret!” I cried dramatically. 

“Stop mocking me, a guy can try.” Hancock snorted, I laughed, 

“He’d so much as toss you over the wall than share me.” I smirked, 

“I bet you’d like to see that, huh?” Hancock grumbled. 

“Anyway!” Piper interrupted, 

“Blue, I was wondering if you’d be willing to sing tonight.” She said as she leaned on the table, she looked at me with batting eyes. I laughed, 

“I’ll think about it.” I replied, 

“I think everyone will agree that you can sing and would prefer to hear you.” Hancock commented as he took another swig of his beer. 

“Please Blue? We love your singing.” Piper was practically begging me now, 

“Oh, fine. I’m going to eat first.” I replied. Piper nodded, seeming satisfied with my answer, she dragged Hancock away, they back to their own tables.

Dennis came back with our drinks and food, he sat down, handing my plate and beer over to me. 

“Thank you.” I smiled as I picked up my fork and knife, 

“You’re welcome honey.” Dennis replied. 

We dug into our meals and drank our beers. There was a comfortable silence that fell between us, I moved my leg and started to rub Dennis’s calf with my foot, he looked up at me and smirked. 

I gave him my knowing smile, my brown eyes darted around the room to see if anyone was looking, when no one was, I lifted up my dress slightly and showed my husband quite the view. 

He choked on his drink, when he saw I wore nothing under. His blue eyes shot up to meet mine. I smirked at him and put my dress down, smoothing it out. Then I continued to eat, knowing what was going to come next.

We finished our meal and drinks, before heading into the bathroom. The jazz was loud enough to drown out any other sounds. We walked into a stall and shut the door behind us.

Follow me inside the wastelands - Chapter 3 -Arthur Maxson x Female Sole Survivor Fanfic

This one will be a long fic with a lot of chapters, I already write the concepts. Since I don’t play as Nora in Fallout 4 because Nate for me is the real protagonist the personalities and ideas are pretty fanbased from another fanfics I read

Arthur went to see Nora and the paladin squad leave on the Prydwen that morning, he had no obligation, actually he had better things to do that morning that be around her but last night he feeled…close to her…and he didn’t salute or talk or anything he just appeared when the ventibird was on the station and make an Ad Victoriam sign to her.

If the other paladin and his squad wanted to take it too, the better.

She responded with the Ad Victoriam sign, stranged, before raising flying and disappeared.

Arthur sighted, hopping she was okay in the journey, its not like he can protect her but…

Two weeks passed, the logs and communications from Hardware Town were…good, excelent, amazing news! Yes they needed and asked for many resources but it was normal since they were just installing.

First the sleeping bags, Nora insisted in making separate resting rooms or at least the one they designated separate in sections for brotherhood and minutemen so everybody can have their own belonings to not be public sharing, the brotherhood have sleeping bags and the minutemen beds with matress.

Second, the automated turrets  for the outsides and the laser one for the insides.

Third, water.

Fourth, ammo, shit tons of ammo

Fifth, the arrival of the second paladin and his squad, they were going on a mission with the Sentinel and one of his companions to blow up the supermutant settlements around because they were getting their attention and moving around was difficult by being shot by those green bastards.

He didn’t receive any news about that mission until…three days later

Success: all the brotherhood members were at least alive, two knights were injured but considering they were facing at least 10 supermutants by settlement it was okay, just fine, a few bruises and pain in the bones for a while…

Maxson was so impressed, he hadn’t been this amazed by someone since she destroyed the institute a year ago.

He did receive an alert from one of the paladins, that Nora companion this time was again the sniper from the take over Hardware Town operation, that it would be a nice idea to investigate him…just because he warned them about being carefull with Nora external connection, althought even if the men delivered it.

Well hell take note over that MacCready guy…

Six: this time, they cleaned the raiders around the place, 3 raiders settlements in just a one hit operation for each, the paladin descrived it like smashing the door down and start to trow granades and rocket lauchers, the sniper taking down the leaders and stronger ones, and another guest invited by the sentinel, a fighter named Cait that just went inside the explosions to take advantage and the chaos and twist necks and legs.

Okay another one to investigate he supposed…apparently Nora was a super cool person with a lot of easiness to make friends and allys…that was nice to know, she was nice nice.

Seven: not Nora and paladins squad work, but the third paladin squad started to do patrols around to clean the roads, anyway the news about the brotherhood presence around that point of Boston was spreading, even caught Diamond City attention since now the roads were free of dangers, finally the Diamond City guards can rest a bit of shooting at something 24/7.

One of his soldiers give him a newsletter called Publick Occurrences where they mention the action of the brotherhood over the roads, special mention to the blue vault woman they new since so long.

That piece of paper over his hand…even if it was written by a…non educated citizen of Commonwealth…filled him with pride, people were starting to notice them, their service and adchievements. This never happened before, he never had a proof of the peoples opinions, people he was supposed to care and protect and now thanks to Nora…the paper shake In his hands as he take a big breath.

He wanted to thank her.

Arthur Maxson was indeed in debt with her for destroying the institute but this was…so gratifying…

4 weeks later…it was operational, there was indeed caravans moving, coming in and out the rutes around Hardware Town safe and sound, the base become a post between roads giving people safety to move, if things get complicated in the forest they will run to the roads guarded by the Brotherhood of Steel to seek protection, when they will be given.

It was just a Brotherhood of Steel base, no expending the night inside, no food, no water, no resources, but they can rest in the outsides feeling protected by the soldiers.

The Minutemens sometimes comes to share their food and water when they have news of a lot of people stopping by the base, but that didn’t happened a lot luckily, and it wasn’t their obligation neither.

The 3 paladins reported the success to Maxson, but they also reported that Nora was out of sight since a week ago, that she mention heading to Castle…and nothing more…

If the Minutemens were around, that mean that the sentinel was fine at least, out of sight for the brotherhood but alive for the rest.

Castle was not so far from the Boston Airport, in fact it was a trip in water not so long, they where barely neighbors but…

It doesn’t matter, is not the first time he loose track of her.

He will trow that party anyway, every one did a fine work, they deserved it.

A week later, there was a celebration over the Prydwen.

Some music in the speakers of the Prywen, a small feast for everyone with the overproduction they make out the Minutemens as Nora said…and a lot of people actually having fun. Yeahyeahyeah not everyone on the Prydwen was involved in the new base work over this 7 weeks but a bit of fun wasn’t a bad idea to keep the morale high, it make the soldiers think that everything was better than ever and they can actually afford to have this events, which wasn’t a lie right now so it’s a winwin, everybody partys, take off the overproduction stock of food, raise up the morale…

And he had a bit fun, went down with the soldiers, chat a bit, have some drinks, people were always so nice towards him, no secret intentions, not trying anything, not looking for something…

The night went down eventually, people started getting sleepy and coming back to their beds and quarters, tomorrow and like always was a day of work and service. Most people wouldn’t hear it, but he was so used to the sounds of the Prydwen and their sintonys that this one was  weird and out of place.

He was literally the king of the ship, so like nothing he open the door just to found…

A woman was sit on the floor of the plataform, a dog getting up from his rest next to her alarmed that anything that could harm her. She had the legs open, a bottle of beer on one hand, a comic book in the other, and a box of fancy lads on the floor.

-I go to the hair saloon in Diamond City frequently, it helps me to camouflage –Maxson raised an eyebrow- you know since you named me sentinel I cannot assist to any party no more…

-Pass, pre-wars aren’t my favourites –he said like nothing but then see a funny smile on her face.

-If the weather allows it…usually after dinner hour you know before sleeping for tomorrow…

-Since is hard to contact you on working hours, you have your own quarters to read alone anyway

-My little fan is broken and the technical service hasn’t give me a proper response in a month, but I was away from the Prydwen and didn’t have time to check it on anyway, the air inside the closed quarter all day without a window or ventilation is very heavy to stay there conscious and non sleeping.

-Right –he gave the dog a last pat and stand up, confusing the lady who just looked at him raising the head, Maxson smiled. Well well what about that look? Heartbroken? –ill head back to my quarters, im getting a bit more woozy than I want for tomorrow…

-You don’t like the highs? –when she ask that the men took the moment to look down and focus his eyes on her thinn long open black legs

-Maybe not with beer and a full stomach –at hearing her giggle his eyes looked for hers –see you around

His hand posed in the cold door when he hear her low, almost inaudible.

Having made it past the Rust Devils, Paladin Danse, Scribe Haylen, and Knight Rhys enter the Fort Hagen Hangar with the unusual robot to track the Mechanist and their minions? Dr. Amari, Curie, and the Lone Wanderer receive an escaped synth at the Memory Den who wants to tell what he knows about the Institute before having his memory erased? Nora and Cait take in the progress being made in constructing the signal interceptor while ferocity in Nora's will continue to crack her? Having been admitted into the facility wherein Dima stored his memories by the Children Of Atom, the General, the detective, the secretary, and the General's right hand man and his daughter begin to retrieve the memories of Acadia's leader? The first character you loved:

Paladin Danse - The moment I saw him in power armour firing lasers I was impressed, and I hoped he could be a companion! I took Haylen at her word that he was a good man and travelling with him proved that! It was also nice to meet another friendly group after Preston’s!

Cullen - I’ve always played a mage and my mage warden thought he was adorable, my mage Hawke was a bit salty but overall okay with him and my Inquisitor fell in love with him! Throughout all the games I was hoping for the chance and was so happy to not only romance but marry and adopt a mabari with him in DAI! 

Farkas - He’s a big, strong warrior with a gentle heart! Also a werewolf at first - what’s not to love? XD

The character you never expected to love so much

Gage - He’s a raider, while Nora’s the General and Sentinel. She’s moral, he’s not and he doesn’t seem her type at all - but there’s still chemistry there and even when they’re just friends, leaving aside their very differing methods at times, the pair get along! I was heartbroken when she had to kill him during Nuka World, but currently rewriting with a friend so XD

Sera - Not going to lie, when I first met her I thought she was the height of annoying. I didn’t like the way she spoke in riddles and didn’t take her anywhere, but when I gave her the chance I just fell in love - she’s hilarious, knows how to have fun and honestly I agree with her so much on sticking it to the nobles!

Miraak - At first he was just a villain you’ve got to beat, but when I realised he and Danse share the same VA I looked more into him and the cut content and - yeah. Would totally have sided with him over Mora if I could! He’s a lot more pitiable, not to mention he’d have made Marcurio look humble if he was a companion! I also headcanon he looks like Danse now too so XD

The character you relate to the most

Danse - I totally understand the burying your feelings part and I just really resonate with him. He might take things too seriously at times, but his heart is in the right place! His awkwardness in romance also rivals mine so yeah!

Cassandra - Same reasons as Danse and maybe even more so! XD She’s just amazing and I love how despite her serious personality, she’s always loved and wanted romance and is loyal and there for her friends, plus she changes her stance as she learns things like she comes to befriend Cole and regrets what happened between her and Varric! Seriously love her! 

Maybe Vilkas - idk I don’t think the characters were written with any real depth in game as a lot of it is radiant dialogue or a couple of lines, so I can’t really say!  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Backstory:

- his parents, Ryan Hudson-Zander, his father, was a Brigadier General, his mother, Olivia Zander was a pharmacist;

- graduated Harward Medical School, he works for a while as a family doctor in a small clinic, also meets Nora in that time (their parents were friends);

- his father forces him to join the army and signs as combat medic;

- stays 1 year in the army, signs off when he finds out his cousin and his father were killed on the battlefield;

- tries his best to recover from the army and from the lose of his cousin, Nora finds out and decides to help him, even convincing him and helping him to retake his job as family doctor;

- later he married Nora, and moves to Sanctuary Hills, in the house that Vaughn’s mother bought for them.

Present:

- being driven by revenge, he has nothing on his mind but to kill Kellogg

- passing close to the Museum of Freedom, he first refuse to help Preston, but then he and Codsworth were driven by raiders in the museum, helps them and escort them to the Sanctuary, but refuse to help them further, going to DC;

- meets Piper, gives the interview, goes to rescue Nick and finds Kellogg and kills him;

- joins the Minuteman later after he and Nick gets out from the Glowing Sea;

- gets in the Institute, tries his best to bond again with Shaun but with no success, both arguing on the current situation;

- saves Danse and threaten Maxson to never hunt down Danse; 

- after the battle of Bunker Hill, he returns the synths to the Institute, and when Desdemona finds out, she banishes him from the RR, despite Deacon's and Debbie's arguments

- being stressed out, later he hurts a scientist after they insult him constantly, and gets banished from the Institute; 

- 2 weeks later, Sanctuary gets attacked by the Institute synths but its saved; 

- Vaughn gather the Minuteman and some of the companions and launch an attack to the Institute; 

- saves little Shaun and adopts him; 

- later on, Vaughn gets married with Hancock and Nick, all moving to the newly constructed house in Sanctuary;

- gets reaccepted in RR, but he doesnt wish to come there often;

- continues to help the Commonwealth with the Minuteman;

- later, he joins Nick to Far Harbor;

- they help the people of Far Harbor, gaining their trust;

- meets DiMA and agree to help him out;

- joins Children of Atom “by mistake” - tried to sneak into their base, they were caught and Vaughn wanted to join them (despite Nick’s protests)

- finds DiMA’s memories and helps Nick figure it out his past and accepts DiMA as his brother;

- agree to hide DiMA’s secrets and helps him out with the Children of Atom and finally make peace;

- months later, on a patrol mission, Vaughn and Danse were caught up by the raiders in Nuka World and survive the Gauntlet, Vaughn becoming the Overboss;

- making plans, Vaughn and Danse agreed to earn the raiders’s trust and attack them when they wont expect;

- later after the raiders were defeated, the Nuka World is freed and is under Minuteman’s control
