On March 12, 2019, Torigoe Yuki went to watch "Ai no Rekishi Theater ~The Beginning of Love~"!
To quote Yashima Norito-san @meganeouji840,
To put it roughly, the Touken Ranbu Trio ♥
How cute is Tori though? xD
Torigoe Yuki @Torippiyo2
The lovely and charming Ryuu-chan was cool, I was overwhelmed by how incredible Yashima-san was, everyone was too wonderful.
He then pointed out,
And, We've been wearing personal outfits that are the same for quite a few times.
And, Tori also posted about "The Beginning of Love" on Instagram (@yuki_torigoe.cleftchin) where he included the tags,
#Ryuu-chan #Pii-chan #Ryuupii #When we go out for meals together as a pair, it's generally shabu-shabu [1] LOL #And, we are generally prone to wearing the same clothes
NOTE:
[1] “Shabu-shabu” is a type of Japanese hotpot dish made of thinly sliced meat and vegetables.
PERSONAL COMMENT:
The Himawari boys do have the tendency to match outfits without planning pffft. They also did the same thing during the “CDTV Special! New Year Eve Premier Live 2018 → 2019” where Tori posted these photos and noted,

Torigoe Yuki @Torippiyo2
Taking a photo with Ryuu-chan in our personal clothing Red and blue This wasn't planned,, A coincidence In other words,,, That's what I wanted to say (^^)

Think Note Vol #90 Various
Myojo 10.2020
(Please let me know if there are any errors.)
Kei-chan and Ryo-chan’s bond is deepening into something good.
Yamada plays Kanzaki Ryuichi, a compassionate and super serious detective on the drama, “Kiwadoi Futari - K2 - Ikebukuro Sho Keiji Ka Kanzaki · Kuroki” (Dangerous Duo - K2 - Ikebukuro Station’s Criminal Investigation Unit’s Kanzaki & Kuroki) (starting September [11]). [This issue] will deliver his various (いろいろ) faces now and the various happenings on set to you.
Tumblr media
---------
Due to the long periods of rain, as you can imagine, there were [many starts and stops] in the location shoots for the drama, “Kiwadoi Futari - K2 - Ikebukuro Sho Keiji Ka Kanzaki · Kuroki”. The scenes that cannot be shot during the rain have been gradually pushed back, so in the end, the filming of the first episode took around a month. In addition, we need to take precautions against the novel coronavirus, so now, whether we are resting or rehearsing… basically any time other than the actual take, we are wearing face shields. Although us actors can take them off during the actual take, the staff cannot take them off at any time, so given how hot it will get, I am worried about their health.  Hopefully we can all work together and get through this.
The atmosphere on set is really good. Me and (Tanaka) Kei-chan are pretty busy right now, so when we meet on set, we’ll worry about each other’s health and encourage each other (laughs). Right, we have gone from calling each other “Tanaka-san” and “Yamada-san” to “Kei-chan” and “Ryo-chan”. When we were shooting the video for the YouTube channel, I suggested, “I want us to call each other “Kei-chan” and “Ryo-chan”!” Since then we have smoothly shortened our distance, but we can’t go for dinner like before. Earlier when the corona [infections] were subsiding, Kei-chan invited me to dinner around 3 times, but I had to do a number of music programs, so the timing didn’t work… After that, the situation [has gotten worse] so we can no longer go for dinner. If we can, I would like to go at least once while we are filming, but if it’s difficult to do so, I hope the entire cast can go for dinner even if we have already cranked-up.
Yashima (Norito) san, who plays Kanzaki’s boss, co-starred with me in the 2008 drama “Scrap Teacher ~ Kyōshi Saisei ~”. However, when I was around 19, I had dinner with him privately one time afterwards. One of Yashima-san’s drama co-stars at the time was talking about me, so they invited me along. So after that meeting, it has been around 8 years [since I’ve seen him]. That said, his appearance and personality have not changed at all and he is still the reliable senpai who can make things lively on set.
The toughest part about playing Kanzaki is the number of lines [I have to learn]. Although there are fewer lines compared to the “Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo” (The Casefiles of Young Kindaichi) series, I am no longer the same age as when I played (Kindaichi) Hajime-chan (laughs). Especially with the exposition in [the scenes] where I am questioning the suspect, there are so many similar lines that it was very difficult. “My past self would be able to memorize this volume of texts much quicker... I haven’t changed the way I get the lines in [my head]...”; I was shocked at the deterioration of my brain while desperately fighting* [against reality].
* I think there is a misprint in my magazine. The text said 悪銭苦闘 (akusen kutou), which is like struggling with dirty money. However, 悪戦苦闘 is also akusen kutou, which means struggling desperately. I did try googling to see if the first one is an idiom but got nothing, so I went with the second one since it fits the context.
Although I want to tell you lots and lots about my private life… but unfortunately, I got nothing during these times (laughs). If I have to say, I’m going to the gym. During filming, it’s considered early if we are done at around 9pm or 10pm, so in those days, I’ll go straight to the gym. Since I want to keep my current shape, I have to somehow inspire myself to keep training. After that, I will spend a little time skimming live stream gaming videos while thinking “I’m going to play this game later”; and I will look at Hawaii magazines and firmly decide that “I’m definitely going there when I can get time off!” I can’t wait for the time when I can tell you all sorts of stories from my private life.
“As I’m learning my lines, I truly feel old." - Ryo

Touken Ranbu: The Movie Cast Roundtable Talk, A Summary ②
This is from Ginmaku no Touken Danshi, the behind the scenes special for the Touken Ranbu movie. Part 2 is discussion between the actors of: Nihongou: Iwanaga Hiroaki Heshikiri Hasebe: Wada Masanari Uguisumaru: Hirose Tomoki Fudou Yukimitsu: Shiina Taizo
Tumblr media
Taizo, as he sits down: Whew! Hirose: Whew~ Hirose, points at Taizo: Only old men act like that! Wada: You did the same thing!
Any special memories with other cast? ♔ Iwanaga shared how Yashima Norito only had scenes with Wada and Iwanaga, and it was a lot of fun. Hirose was envious that they worked with Yashima. When you see the latter act, you could tell he was an experienced actor. Wada said he learned a lot from him. Yashima always gives his 100% when he acts, even during dry runs.
Tumblr media
♔ Taizo's scenes were mostly with Wada and Hirose.Wada brought up how Hirose went strawberry picking: Wada: Didn't you go strawberry picking? Hirose: I did, but are you really bringing that up now? Iwanaga: And he didn't go with his fellow cast members; he went there by himself! They asked him if he had fun doing that, and he answered that it was lonely doing it on his own. ♔ The day after, Hirose had a scene with the Wada and Taizo, and he failed to say his lines 3 times, much to Wada and the staff's amusement. Taizo was on standby far from where they were filming, he had no idea why everyone was laughing. He'd come up to where everyone was every time and be like, "What, what is it?" Only to find out Hirose made a mistake.
Which scene did you have difficulty with? Which were you satisfied with? ♔ Taizo had an action scene he wasn't allowed to mess up because there was something in that scene they could do only once. It was very nerve-wracking for him, but the scene turned out great so it's something to watch out for. ♔ Iwanaga had a tough time with the action scenes since Nihongou is so long. "Shocking long", Hirose and Taizo said. The spear broke on his first day. He wanted to be careful with it, but was told not to by director because it would've made his movements smaller. He also had to use it often in melees, and it was a challenge to not accidentally hit anyone near him. ♔ Wada was satisfied with his short scene where Hasebe was very pissed off at Mikazuki.
What do you think of Mikazuki Munechika's actor, Suzuki Hiroki? ♔ This movie was the first time Iwanaga met Hiroki, and he said Hiroki was one of a kind. It's not that he gives off a leading role aura. He's the type of person that would silently support everyone else, and express himself through actions. He may look delicate, but he's actually manly on the inside. It made Iwanaga believe that Hiroki must have a lot of grit to be the way he is. ♔ Hirose has known Hiroki for a long time now, and Taizo has known him for even longer (10+ years). Hiroki and Taizo moved to Tokyo around the same time, and probably were in their first play together too. Back then, Hiroki wasn't very agile, and not very good at stage combat either. He also struggled with his acting. Taizo was very worried for him, even though Hiroki was a year older than him. Still, Hiroki did various plays, and probably worked so hard through his incompetence to get to where he is today. Now Taizo looks at him and sees how cool and compelling he is. He's shining so much that it made Taizo wonder just how much he must have gone through to be where he is today. Hirose: He looks like he's about to shed a tear! Taizo: Oh, that's because I yawned a little. Wada: You didn't need to admit it! You should've just agreed! ♔ Hirose said Hiroki himself admitted how much he fumbled back then, even though it's hard to imagine, seeing him now. Surely it's because he worked hard to get to that point. ♔ Hiroki and Taizo hung out at Wada's family home before and played with his niece. However, Hiroki doesn't really change even to his niece. He's still the same old Suzuki Hiroki, the Buddha. He just placidly hums at Wada's niece. Then Wada's brother came back, and Taizo introduced himself and Hiroki in a friendly manner. Then, recently, Wada's brother recently called him on his phone, and at some point they talked about their meeting with the other two. Wada's brother: "What's the deal with that one guy? The tiny one was very friendly, but what was up with the other guy?! The unfriendly one!" Taizo & Iwanaga: *laughs* Wada said people from Osaka who had not heard of Hiroki before may find him gloomy, which Taizo found amusing since Hiroki himself was from Osaka. (T.N.: People from Osaka are stereotyped to be more boisterous compared to people from Tokyo.) On the other hand, people who have seen him and worked with him have witnessed how much charisma he has, and Wada thought that the gap between how he seemed and how he actually was was amazing.
Favorite scene/Which scene to look forward to? ♔ Iwanaga's favorite line is from Hasebe: "We arrived just in time, huh." (間に合ったか) ♔ Taizo liked the stage direction, when the footage only showed Nihongou and Hasebe fighting, and then Fudou suddenly swooped in the frame. He thought this was something we got to enjoy because it's a movie. There was also a scene by the waterside that Hirose and Taizo weren't in, and they were envious of the ones that were since it looked cool. (Yagen was in that scene, apparently.)
Ending: Taizo: Okay, how do we end this? Wada: All together! 3,2,1.... Iwanaga, Wada, Taizo: Thank you― Hirose, holds up hands at the same time: Bam! Taizo: Wait, hold up! What was that?! What did you say? Hirose, laughing and holds up his hands: Bam! Taizo: What was up with that! In the end, they decided to go "Bam!" together and thanked the viewers . Iwanaga: What a mess. *laughs* Wada: It's okay. It had personality.

Hayako Sensei (Ep 8)
"It wasn't his intention to get wound up by her, but he was hurt, wounded and had become badly bruised."
This scene was so hurtful to watch as it's so relatable and real. It's very rare to see a man's life struggle in love in Asian dramas.
Sendagi is a 40 year old teacher who is caring, kind and patient that the children and fellow teachers love him. But he has difficulty getting a date as he grow older. Despite numerous times being rejected and heartbroken, he remains optimistic and keep trying.
He finally found one, a smart and cheerful office executive in her late 20s. They instantly clicked with each other and find comfort in each other's company but her colleagues who found out about his age mocked and ridiculed him, calling him a pervert.
Even though he was hurt, he did not retaliate in anger because he knows it is wrong to hit someone. Especially being a teacher. Although he was heartbroken by the incident, he still showed up in school the next day to teach, which shows how strong he is.
Sometimes I wonder, why are people so cruel? Are their lives so messed up that they need to pick on others to feel better? What's wrong with having an age gap if both of them genuinely love each other and feels comfortable being themselves?
When an old man date a young woman, they think he's a pervert and she's got bad taste. When a young man date an old woman, they think he's after her wealth and she's desperate.
Why are we so judgmental? We don't even know their life stories or who they are as a person but easily judge what is right and wrong, ruining their relationship that they struggle to build together.
We hide behind our "self-righteousness" when we're just jealous or can't believe that people can be happy doing things that contradicts our own sets of beliefs and values we try to impose on others.
