Marcia is my (french) 80s music inspired baby ! She's an engineer of the 327th and the exact definition of a party boy. Gender is just glitter they use as makeup and xey collect pronouns like pretty rocks. He's a bleeding heart chewing bumble gum and drinking the most colorful cocktails available.

I adore zir. She's always in my mind xD

They're loud but care with their entire heart. Vae can be brought into tinkering prank material, vae's a very talented engineer (but she's very expensive). And zir engineer siblings always keep strawberry and chocolate ice cream around because it's the heartbreak comfort food (Marcia falls in love very very easily. Alas she's not always lucky)

I want to write a meeting between her and some of our favorite Torrent troopers. Because there is no way she didn't hit it off with at least Fives. And I'm also thinking of finding Marcia a Corrie partner 🤔🤔

I sadly didn't found a satisfying picrew that was at the same time cute, with 80's vibes outfits, and having both a haircut similar to the one Marcia has and a moustache option :( I might be asking for too much, I know x'D (the closest I did for now was a cute picrew I shared here but it doesn't have Marcia's hair)

The Cantina Ghosts are a music band composed of Whistler (banjo and harmonica + "percussions", deployed with the Wolfpack, more country music, he/him), Ivory (medic in the 41st, pianist, more classic music, she/her), Lydian (Ivory's batchmate, was under Mace Windu's battalion but was the first of the three to desert, trumpet plus some others instruments, jazz music) and Hadil Ziveri, the orphaned Mirilian-Twi'lek girl that Lydian adopt.

During the Empire, they are a very mysterious and famous band that appears in various cantinas and bars across the Galaxy before disappearing again. Every spacer knew about them. Or at least knew the name of the band. Some even tell tales of the time they had been lucky enough to see them perform. An entire section of the holonet is dedicated at following their apparitions. The legends are very thick around them. Nobody knows their name, nobody knows who they are (especially not Lydian who even their pronouns are a complete mystery).

But back into the safety of their ship ? They're a family simply going through the days little by little. Hadil and Lydian learn to cook together, and both are pretty good at it. They love to test recipes from Hadil's different cultures and recreate as much as possible the flavors of her childhood. Sometimes Whistler or Ivory will try to learn too, but it's mostly their quiet moments for just the two of them.

Whistler took a liking to engineering while learning how to repair their pretty ship who's also their home. He's also the one that had created Lydian's earring aid. But regarding the prosthetics of his little siblings he doesn't really have much to do, Lydian doesn't really like to wear their aid (the sounds are all wrong, better to barely hear anything than hear robotic, flat sounds only), and Ivory can tuned her leg prosthetic herself, thank you very much.

And Ivory took a liking to piloting. It's more because she like the sight of the stars from the cockpit than she like piloting in itself (even if it feels meditative too). None of them end up really passionate about piloting really. Especially not when they have to swiftly escape from imperial patrols, but it doesn't happen often (they stay carefully out of the most troublesome areas).

The Cantina Ghosts, lore :

Lydian and Ivory are batchmates and very close to each other's. Lydian was part of Mace Windu's battalion while Ivory was a medic of the 41st, they could only really see each other's when they were on leave.

Whistler is a bit older than the two others and should have joined the Wolfpack just before the Malevolent tragedy. It's a transport problem that saved his life. He met Lydian at 79's, both had their instruments at that time and just started a jam session. From then on, Lydian and Ivory had won a new ori'vod. And 79's now had more or less regular sets from 'home-bred' musicians. It certainly wasn't the usual musical genre of the bar but it was very much vode.

It all started to change after one bloody and messy campaign for Lydian's battalion. Too many casualties. Too many civilian casualties (they shouldn't be dead. They fight to protect them. Why fighting is they died because of it ??) While cleaning up the ruins of that city, Lydian found a cadet young natborn, hidden in the rubble of what was once a house and clutching at a stained and dirty fabric that was once beautiful and delicate (her mother's headpiece). They had succeeded to coax her out and get her checked out by a medic, and now were trying to get informations from her while calming her down (her name, if she still had family, where could she go). A fastidious and painful experience for both of them. Hadil Ziveri, as was her name, spoke mando'a, and even if the Vode's dialect was a bit different, they still understood each other's.

Lydian was telling a story about Ivory and Whistler, to keep her mind out of everything that had happened and were still happening around them as much as possible, when falling rubble activated a hidden mine. Thanks to Lydian's reflexes, they both escaped it alive. But what was already nagging the jazzplayer became certitude. They couldn't keep going, they couldn't do this anymore. And they couldn't leave the girl like that, on this devastated planet, without hating themselves for the rest of their life. The explosion was the perfect excuse. They were a little farer away from the rest of the battalion. Nobody would see them. And that was it, both of them officially died that day, in the explosion that damaged Lydian's ears enough for them to be legally deaf.

They deserted.

Ivory and Whistler weren't dupe for long, Lydian made sure of it. They didn't play at 79's anymore, but they played around, close enough to be heard by their siblings. The three of them would always recognize the way the others play, knowing each other's techniques and quirks more intimately than their own heartbeats.

They continue to play at 79's sometimes (sans Lydian of course), but it wasn't the sole place anymore. The four of them (Hadil joined more often than not, once she got comfortable enough for it, playing the violin and bes'bev with her new family was her way to grieve the one that was marching away) met in random cantinas, all of their features hidden (Lydian by his fedora and trumpet, Whistler by a stetson of course, and Hadil had insisted to buy a pretty mask as white as Ivory's name with subtle green highlights to gift to the pianist. Ivory didn't really needed it, her mutations differentiating her enough to not be recognized as a clone, but she loved the mask anyway). That's how the legend of the Cantina Ghosts started. They didn't chose the name, it was simply how the people started referring to them, because of the way they seemed to simply appear in cantinas, haunt the audience by their beautiful music, and disappear. Nobody knew their names, nobody knew their faces (except sometimes for the young Mirilian who didn't always cover her face completely with her headpiece). They were like ghosts of the wind.

Their legend really started to spread and get famous close to the end of the war. Ivory lost her left leg on the battlefield and Whistler called it quite. He took his sister once she was out of medbay, and with a last look for his beloved battalion, he left to join Lydian and Hadil.

There wasn't anyone playing live sessions at 79's anymore and the Ghosts stopped little by little to haunt Coruscant. Some of the Core planets still could be graced with their impromptu apparitions, but if you want to surprise them, you will always have more chance in the cantinas of the Middle and Outer Rims.

Their music is organic, most often than not improv, and a fusion of many genres. Lydian is a jazzplayer, Whistler is soaked of (melancholic and slow) country, Ivory join them in the middle with a more classic repertory, and finally Hadil has been lulled with traditional Mirilian, Twi'lek and Mandalorian music her entire childhood (she only start to sing those tunes during sessions after the rise of the Empire). They know how to fusion their respective sounds to perfection and can play with all those influences until the most unruly and chaotic cantina is holding its breath and the only sound in the entire establishment is the Ghosts' music.

You might have noticed that there isn't a percussion player in the band. That's because they play percussions the way of the Vode. A beaten rhythm on whatever surface is accessible. Plastoid armor changed for the box Whistler is sat on while playing the banjo. The durasteel of the counter behind Lydian where they can kick their heel and make the metal vibrate. Sometimes something as simple as Hadil clapping (she does started to learn to play the spoons, like her mother used to do with the rest of the Mirilian part of her family, but she refuses to play them in public before mastering it and then only for the most personal tunes). And just like the Vode used to do, the audience usually pick up that beaten rhythm and accompany them.
