Obsessed with the sudden shift in Cas' willingness to say insane romantic shit to dean in season 8. A couple of seasons ago, he would tell dean that they had a profound bond to his face. That everything he did, he did for Dean. Now? He's hesitating. He clenches his fists to avoid hugging Dean back in purgatory. He stutters and looks away before saying he stayed away from Dean to protect him. When asked what broke through heaven's brainwashing, he looks away and says he doesn't know. It's so interesting to me

|| 🍍• Unpopular opinion time…maybe…
…but I hope Husk was a fucking SAVAGE overlord.
• I hope he was an overlord that you’d think twice before fucking with.
• I hope he was actually the opposite of the Husk we fucking love from all those Overlord fics of him.
• I hope that one of - if not the only reason - he thinks he can’t be redeemed/doesn’t want to be redeemed, is because he knows how fucking god awful he could be.
• I hope - in a way - Alastor coming along, rocking Husk’s shit and stealing his soul, gave Husk the biggest fattest reality karma bitchslap he needed to realise how vile he was dealing in souls - in people - as if they were mere commodities.
• I hope he runs into someone who he used to own, and, with that, I HOPE we see how he truly feels about his past.
Why do I think this is all important?
Because I think it becomes massively important when thinking about his budding association with Angel Dust.
Someone who is currently also dealing with that torment of not owning their soul, but someone who HASN’T dabbled on the flip side of being in the Overlord role.
Someone who would likely have only bad associations with Overlords.
How would Angel really react to knowing Husk’s overlord story in its entirety rather than the glimpse we see him learn?

For the record I think Vox is being effected and possibly swayed by Val’s poison just like Angel is, the pink signifying it on Angel shows up on Voxs screen during and after interacting and being influenced by Val directly, when Vox is operating independently it isn’t an actual normal feature of his
This paired with an earlier moment from episode 2 when Val first mentioned something had happened with Angel Dust, Vox seemed happy about the idea of Angel quitting
“He quit? :D”
It’s interesting for sure, makes me wonder what Vox actually thinks about Angel, and more importantly, actually thinks about Valentino. He’s a business man, and clearly the Vees all teamed up (at least initially) because it helps elevate their status and power spread, they may be friendly with each other but we as an audience don’t actually know if there’s more to it as of now. But still, interesting

Angel is tactile.
His many hands like to poke, hug, grab, pat. His long limbs entangle themselves in other people's personal space like pale branches.
It used to drive him mad, it really did, when it came with jagged edges of aggressive, unwanted sexuality - made to attack, provoke, discomfort.
It's different now that they are friends.
Husk had thought that the constant touching would go away along with the relentless come-ons, but if anything it seemed to increase by the day: it was now rare not to have a long-fingered hand on his shoulder, a bony knee encroaching on his stool, or as of late the whole seven-feet fluffiness slumped gainst his side while bitching about another shit day at the studio.
Husk would have put an end to it pretty quickly, nerves unused to familiarity and distrustful of it, If he hadn't seen Angel do the very same with Cherri.
He thinks he understands at least the vague shape of Angel's want for touch that is free of… ties, obligations. Consequences.
And Husk finds that he cannot deny him this, his own mild discomfort fading in the face of the reward.
Especially when Angel is tipsy, happy, laughing in that loud and unfiltered way that shouldn't be as endearing as it is, talking about a million things at once.
Never mind that the dancing fingers on his fur leave him with a strange buzzing under his skin. It's just him being a grumpy-ass old man that hasn't known any contact for decades, Husk can deal with that no problem.
This kid deserves it, and Husk will gladly give it.
