one thing i love abt vi is that she is overtly masc but also has several stereotypically more feminine aspects abt her in a way that feels very natural (that isn’t to say masc women need any feminine characteristics to be “natural”, i’m just used to women who are more or very masc in media being more devoid of any femininity, so it’s nice to see some variety). i feel like they perfectly balanced her femininity and her masculinity together.
she has the longest eyelashes (at least i think so?), she wears heavy and obvious makeup, she has the highest-pitched/more stereotypically feminine voice between her, cait, and jinx, and she’s incredibly emotional. she has moments of sadness, of crying, of crumbling.
when i 1st watched arcane, i was honestly a little (but not negatively) surprised to hear that vi had such a high-pitched and “pretty”/feminine voice. i had subconsciously expected her to have a deeper one bc that’s what i’m used to pretty much all masc female characters having.
what i’m trying to say is, it’s nice to see a heavily masc female character that also has naturally feminine aspects.
