Stepping from behind the camera to in front of the camera. Growing up, I struggled with vulnerability and the fear of being judged. I allowed other actors to tell my story for years. I slowly started to show my face on the other side of the lens, but this was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt in front of the camera. Quite frankly, I wanted to run away from filmmaking. I even canceled my big project that was set to release Fall of 2021. I fell into this dark hole and didn’t know how to get out of it. I ran from therapy, I ran from friends and family. I felt like the world was closing in on me, leaving me feeling claustrophobic. Do you believe that the first time I told myself “I love you” was a week ago?
