ALL OF DAPHNE'S TRANSFORMATIONS. INCLUDING UPDATED NYMPHIX.

Previously Fairy of the Dragon Flame now Fairy of Embers. She doesn't have any transformations others than these because she was fast tracked into the nymphix path, and unlike the winx the majority of fairies don't pursue additional transformations past enchantix. (i think Daphne would be interested in Dreamix tho, so maybe I'll draw that eventually.

Her major color shifted after dying and being revived, which is shown in her winx and enchantix.

I changed her major color from orange/yellow to more of a teal/green because. she just doesn't look good in yellow I'm sorry I really tried but it wasn't working. Also little updates to her hair color, nothing huge tho. Daphne's primary motifs are a branching "Y" shape and a double oval/tear drop. She's a pants when possible girlie and a one set winger(yes her nymphix looks like it have multiple wings but they all merge into one stem on each side) . Her scars from her Sirenix being ripped out of her caused her winx/enchantix to change a little to cover them(mostly seen in the arms) due to insecurity. Her Dryadix/nymphix flower is a daffodil! because pun Daph-Daff, and Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings (also creativity, energy, resilience, forgiveness and vitality). Her Harpix wings aren't super specificly patterned, but she has darting wings common in small song and seed birds (robins, finches, brown birds etc.) the coloring is referential of a Shrike (also called a Butcher Bird), because Daphne was. incredibly dangerous and if she had sided with the ancestral probably would have been given a moniker similar to Butcher of Domino or Daphne the Slaughterer. (some people do call her these but its mostly among people who dislike Domino/The Royal Family.)

Lore! Daphne doesn't have a great sense of self, she was planned as a necessary successor to Marion/the dragon flame in a period as the ancestral witches were escalating their attacks and search for the dragon flame. Bloom was a back up baby in case both Daphne and Marion got dead and basically worked as intended haha. Daphne was also much more publicly involved in the kingdom than many of the other royals in winx (Stella, Aisha, Krystal and even Galatea to an extent all had rather sheltered upbringings) in a way Daphne is much more like Sky and Thoren in the since that none of them really had the space to develop their own personality outside of their familial duty.

Daphne's 1st winx and enchantixes are as direct a copy of her mom's Enchantix as you can get with transformations, right down to the more greenish tint of her major color. Growing up Marion used her fairy form liberally, so that, combined with being the next Dragon Flame holder left a deep impact on Daphne's subconscious. Daphne was also heavily influenced by Faragonda during her Alfea and Nymphix Quest years, but since she was older this isn't as deep an influence. After being revived, Daphne's years of defining herself as her connection to Bloom causes her major color to shift more blue in response to her trauma. Daphne is slowly starting to develop a sense of self outside of her titles/connections but it's unlikely her major color will shift again unless she has another major trauma.

(for the record the Winx do have trauma over the timeline I have laid out that would potentially cause their major colors to shift but I didn't do that for a couple reasons 1, their colors are iconic and make them easily recognizable as characters; 2, I'm a tired bitch. )

I don’t feel like they’d set off aiming for Nymphix, but after getting harmonix and sirenix and starting the whole process + constantly having to save the magical world, they’d be like “fuck it we might as well we’re already 2/5 of the way there”

Daphne, Nymph of Sparx

Because Tumblr deleted everything and I don’t want to rewrite it, tldr:

So I’ve redone most of my Daphne lore. She is Bloom’s older sister again, but I will detail all of that in another post.

She became Nymph of the Dragon’s Flame and Nymph of Sparx at 32, but before gaining the flame, she was the Fairy of Divination(thank you @drops-of-moonlights for helping with her title). She has a water and dream source, which she reverts to after giving Bloom the flame. This is part of why she was able to communicate with Bloom through dreams.

Taylor was asking me to draw my interpretation of Daphne, so I finally sat down and made an outfit I was happy with bc lord knows I've been struggling with her crown, mask, and wings combo, and I'm finally happy with her!

In my verse people's magic has a specific color, and Daphne's is blue, so I made a blue "ghost" Daphne, alongside how Daphne appears to Bloom

It makes her hair look like it's a part of her outfit, which really diminishes the impact of her mask especially

Winona the Witch of Enchanted Steel and Diaspro the Fairy of Gemstones have arrived!

After Diaspro's plot to once again try to kill Bloom failed (again), Diaspro decided that enough is enough and let go of her obssession with Sky and to return home to her kingdom of Amethia. Soon after arriving she learns that her antics have made her fall out of favor in court, causing her to loose her right to the throne. Angered and determined to get back her birthright, Diaspro asks for the aid of her bodyguard and now lady in waiting, Winona. The witch didn't want to at first, as she'd rather not deal with Diaspro's unwanted reputation but after a year of hard work and positive political stunts, Winona feels proud of working for her lady. Soon, the two develop a strong, yet secret, relationship after a night in Eraclyon turned steamy.

Theoretically, in my rewrite, if Daphne were to have properly died Bloom could’ve gained Nymphix even if it wouldn’t have been worth a whole lot in her case

She doesn't look like this right away, but a few years down the line, after she's had a chance to heal.

Companion piece to this

I knew going in that I wanted the green and the absurdly long ponytail. The most important thing was to make it easy to move in - so the train is open and flowy, and the restrictive metal from the earlier design is removed. Her crown is largely unchanged, but the purple chains have been replaced with black pearls. There is no mask (or even the hint of one. Pretend there's a mask in the other design 😭) because she doesn't feel the need to hide her emotions or discard her own needs anymore.

The looser design shows how much freer and happier Daphne is. She's found a way to come to terms with what happened to her and she bears the scars proudly. I like double meanings, so the lack of a tight skirt means this is better suited for combat as well. I'd imagine Daphne to be very aware of the reality that there's nothing stopping further horrors from finding her and hers.

Originally I tried to make the whole thing a loose gown, but bearing in mind her character development, I thought pants would suit her better. It had the effect of making this look more like her Sirenix, which wasn't intentional, but I can call it a happy accident. It is still very much Nymphix though.

Since she's no longer burdened by the Dragon Flame, she instead wears her personal symbol of a teardrop. I think it suits her, not only because she has a water association, but also because she's gone through a massive tragedy. With the loss of the Flame, she instead uses the unique dream magic that earned her her Nymph status!

The potential Elememtal Guardians for The Council of Elders

These are really quick roughs but I might as well post them since I haven’t had the time to make much new winx stuff because of my new job

Originally the transformation were going to be called Druix (Druid, Earth Elemental), Zephyrix (Zeyphr, Wind Elemental), Sirenix (obviously lol), and Phoenix (also obvious I think)

I realized Phoenix amd Zeyphrix would be very similar though because of the whole bird motif but I’m considering just going all in with fire and smoke for it, but there’s also the issue of their being 2 bird representatives, which isn’t the end of the world but it feels too samey to me. Insert the Milf I drew above lol

As a result of loving her design so much I’m considering renaming and redesigning the fire one Kitsunix (Kitsune) and also changing the name of the air one to Slyphix because that’s a more direct air themed thing whereas zephyr is a specific kind of wind and as a result I’m not sure how satisfied I am with it being the name for a flat air transformation if that makes sense

✨Winx, Nymphix!✨ (v. 2.0)

I first wanna shout out @wtchlings, @catlliecal, and @lordofthewinter for the wonderful help and support when redesigning Nymphix 2.0! Especially @lunar-draws, who designed the mockup for Aisha's wings and some of her outfit! Please go check them out they all have lovely content!! ❤️ It's been almost 3 years since the start of my writing, designing, and drawing Nymphix and my style has changed a lot, so the girls definitely needed the facelift in multiple ways! Below are each separate girl's designs compared to their original concepts! Thank you all for the support so far even with my very weird posting and updating, Chapter 0 is coming along super well and I can't wait to let you know more about it! ❤️✨

Also, just a little add on: If you are ever interested about Nymphix in general be it lore, design choices, why would i subject myself to this, etc. don’t be afraid to send in an ask! I would love to tell you guys about the world I’ve written! :D

Re-done harmonix! Lore and design process tid-bits below

So I decided to scrap the first designs I did mostly because I seriously reworked how harmonix functions and as fun as the huge whooshy fabric tail is its not that functional lol, so I’m saving all the whoosh for Nymphix instead. 

Harmonix is earned by befriending one of the elemental companions a selkie, kodama, djinn, and sylph, and then have the corresponding quest started by the individual companion. However since the winx were in a rush they found the creature of the rainbow mantle as a cheat code to get harmonix, and then used the Elementix Compendium to kick start the Sirenix quest. Harmonix is a general boost in elemental magic, and allows a fairy to fly underwater/at high altitudes with out any additional spells. Its motifs are a structured boned bodice, mesh, short trains(just barely brushing the floor when standing) a singular hair accessory, ribbons or ties on the legs, simple shoes, and a four times repeating shape in the wings somewhere symbolizing the 4 elements.  Harmonix is a stepping stone to the four elemental transformations, but also to Nymphix. In the few times Nymphix has been earned, it has been observed that Harmonix transformation foreshadows the appearance of a Fairy’s future Nymphix. Especially with regards to the ribbons on the legs, they seem to indicate the future placement of the metallic accents on the arms and legs in Nymphix. (yes I will be drawing the girls in Nymphix and the other elementix)

So design wise I didn’t change too much in the wings from my originals, I added a fourth shape if necessary and made them more complex but that’s about it. I decided to scrap the wrap style ribbons on the originals just cus they were too busy and didn’t make a lot of sense when transitioning to shoes but I didn’t want to get rid of them entirely so I just simplified and tied in Nymphix. So I LOVE corsets/vest/suspenders/etc. because of the lines they give to a human torso, I especially love ones that use non-traditional construction and pattern pieces to get this effect. These bodices were super interesting to play around with since I try to visualize how a garment would be made while I draw it, not totally sure if these are possible irl but it was still fun!

Abridged and very hastily summarised version of my winx magic system

(There will eventually be a whole post going into detail but that day is not soon)

Okay so you’ve got your 3 alignments, you have to be one of these if you’re going to do magic frequently:

Witch: using negative feelings and emotions to channel their magic. There’s transformations

Fairy: using positive feelings and emotions to channel their magic. There’s transformations

Wizard: not using feelings to channel their magic, instead just relying on your connection to it. There’s no transformations

Spells can be cast in two ways:

Oral (chanting, writing, singing etc)

Kinetic (waving your hand, dancing magic, magic punch etc)

And there’s also 4 different types of spells:

Offensive

Defensive

Healing

[no name rn] which encompasses: practical spells, Enchantments/Curses and Charms/Hexes.

Then there’s the types of magic, the list is kinda long and I’m debating whether or not some types should stay and also the names of some types but for now here it is:

Water

Fire

Ground

Air

Ice

Floral

Faunal

Fungal

Sound

Electricity(?)

Mind

Light

Dark

Opposite

Form manipulation/shapeshifting

Space

Everyone is born with at least two magic types (their native magic) with the maximum being five and they have a primary and secondary (and tertiary, etc depending on how many they have) magic. Magic types tend to manifest by the time a person is five or so. Magic types can be inherited, though you’re also very likely to be born with a naturally occurring magic if your on a certain planet (eg: if your parents have light and dark magic, you still might be born with floral if you’re on Linphea).

You also don’t technically have to have a full connection to use a certain magic (example being Stella, who was born with light, dark and space magic but still knows a fire spell or two). You can’t preform any powerful spells if you haven’t formed a connection to it though.

The two following are sort of different types of magics, and they’re magics you can’t be born into either. You either have to be gifted the ability to use them or you have to spend years trying to find a way to connect to them

Primal (like the dragon flame, a very source of magic itself)

Wild (essentially chaos magic)

Nymphs are all born with a connection to Primal magic. And on that topic!

Nymphs! They’re sort of like fate assigned protectors of a world. They’re not so much there to protect the people so much as they’re there to protect the magic of the planet they’re on. Nymphs, once they start practicing magic properly will earn a form called Nymphix. Nymphix is the only exception to the alignment transformation rule, as nymphs who are wizards can also earn this. And again, they all are born with a connection to primal magic and 99/100 are born with the main magic type of a planet (eg floral for Linphea).

Transformations! List is incomplete and will be added to but this is what I have so far:

Base, Renamed to Winx after season 1, can be earned in a variety of ways, from just happening when your magic fully manifests to a moment of strong emotions. It makes magic outside of transformation weaker but when transformed it is significantly stronger.

Charmix can be earned by overcoming a fear or a flaw and generally improving yourself. The vast majority of schools that teach fairy or witch magic will have earning this as the final exam, generally to show dedication to magic, a willingness to improve and also because it’s the easiest transformation to earn that doesn’t take a huge toll on the body.

Each magic type has its own transformation (I’m not gonna list them all here, as I said this is the abridged version)

There is a transformation (lacking a name currently) that is formed out of a deeper understanding of oneself and a stronger connection to the magic they were born with.

There is a transformation that can be earned from finding a familiar, working name being Familiarix (the exception to this is if a familiar is found before someone’s magic is fully manifested. They’d have to some one on one bonding with their familiar to earn it in that case)

Enchantix, earned through sacrificing yourself to save someone. There’s a catch though. Most assume it has to do with home world, nah it’s just what magic you were born with, which conveniently, people of the same home worlds tend to share. This would mean that someone born on, say, Linphea had water magic and someone from Andros who also has water magic sacrificed themself for them, they would earn enchantix. It doesn’t happen a whole lot because most people don’t ever get in a situation where they need to sacrifice themself for someone, even rarer off your home world.

Disenchantix, same premise as Enchantix but you have to kill someone for someone else (of the same magic type).

Unfortunately that’s all I got for now (most of the cool names I had are for the magic-type transformations). There will probably be a Believix-esk transformation though it’s not gonna be earned the same nor will it have the exact same function, but because I haven’t ironed it out I’m not listing it.

Anyway as far as I can remember that’s everything, I know it’s very messy and disorganised but I like getting my thoughts out like this and then later returning and clarifying things.

Fairy Transformations

Yes, they can go back to a previous form. Except Charmix, read it.

WARNING LONG POST

Winx - Yes

The most difficult of transformations, even if you only need to do it ONE time. And then the other times, to transform you again are optional. Love yourself. The wings are of medium-small size AND the only ones purely solid, like extra appendages. They move like the wings of a hummingbird.

Charmix - Yes/Redesign. Actually there are many types of Charmix. 

Charmix is what you call the temporary boost or power up, the antechamber you can summon while chasing a transformation, while fighting/training/searching for said form. It usually invokes the wings and superimposes some other characteristic detail of said transformation with your current form.

Obviously It's temporary and once you get the transformation you're looking for, you never get THAT Charmix again. Like If you was searching for the Believix, you lost your Charmix/Believix but still can get the Charmix/Enchantix, or if you were in Enchantix your Enchantix-Charmix/Believix.

I already said in another post, fairies spend a year shaping their basic fairy look - sometimes with hilarious results - until it stabilizes. The charmix is a similar process... but easier, more directed, more focused since unlike the basic form, you have a good foundation and an clear objective where the Winx was a doubtful jump where you did not see the end.

Enchantix - Yes

Sacrifice - but not - for others. Love others, apreciate others lifes. But not from a point your conscience perceive ir as selfish. Big but not solid wings, although fairies can perceive them as both an appendage and an extra sense. Most wings feel like this.

Believix - Yes

To be loved, believed by others. Very big wings too. Like basic ones, also like hummingbirds. It is highly influenced by the people around you, but it also allows you to influence them. Not many people use it. But it has a lot of potential.

Gifts of Destiny: Sophix/Lovix are reinvented, as they do not exist as this transformation per se. These are environmental transformations and some winx manage to win these in Believix.

Harmonix - Yes

It’s have a witch equivalent form.

A better form than enchantix, which works to face easyly any Realms Transformations (Life, Death, Space/Time, Dreams, Magic). So to get like all the new forms under here, you theoretically want to have the Harmonix first. Unless an Ethereal gives you a quick pass (which is what happens to the Winx with the Forestix and the Polarix). Kinda, love the world, the universe where you lives.

This is because the Harmonix gives you an overall boost in all magical abilities and allows you to move through all environments to some degree.

... I'd better redesign the costumes a bit because suddenly this is the most important transformation.

Ok, pre-series??? the easiest, trickiest of the roads to getting the Harmonix, was to go to Domino and have the "ok, just go away I’m working, gesh, I can believe I must donate 1h of my time every day to this” of someone from the royal family. Since they are "blessed" by an Ethereal on our planet of existence.

The other way is to go to a crossing of ley lines and open your magic core to natural magic, manifesting your resolution. The world is semi conscious, it does not care if you are good or bad, it look at your determination and if you do not let yourself be carried away by the waves, because as the weather changes, on the ley lines, the magic changes too, it can be overwhelming.

“Elemental” -More like Envionmental ones, Life Realm

My equivalent to: Sirenix, Sophix, Lovix, Greenix etctera.

Do not had exacty witch equivalents but their harmonix get the alltogether called Milieu Talismans.

You don't need the Harmonix for them, but it makes it easier.

To get these forms you are supposed to do a search for a special object at each transformation. If you have been able to tune into natural magic, it is a matter of doing it again and it will give you a vision. With time limit. You have to interpret the vision and complete the mision. Of course, if you love where you are, the mission is feels easy because you know how to move.

These are "blessed" by the Great Dragon, since they are transformations that affect the Plane of Life, so Bloom gets a +1 in all and usually seems the strongest one, minus in the Desertix, here +3.

Polarix: Won by the Winx during their Believix period. The perfect transformation for ice or snow users, for those living in the taiga, tundra, polar deserts or even the arctic. It has the peculiarity of covering the whole body, either with tights and long sleeves and translucent materials or clothes that really look warm. Fluffy it’s best, but also geometric details. Equivalent to the Lovix one.

Forestix: Won by the Winx during their Believix period. With details of flowers, branches, leaves, moss, mushrooms. Anything of a vegetable or fungus environment. It gives Flora more strength (+2) and she keeps its as her default form if there is any problem with their current one. Equivalent to the Sophix one.

Desertix: Deserts, savannas. Increases heat tolerance and and temperature changes in general, favors fire, fire related and crystal attacks. It would favor Bloom, if she got it. The wings give a rough impression, like swirling sand or fire.

Cavernix: Suitable for life in the deep Earth. Helps with pressure, darkness, temperature changes, lack of oxygen. Their outfits and wings show rigid lines and some kind of gem depending on the person. It would favor Diaspro if I had it. In fact, it also would favors Musa, because it boosts her ultrasounds.

Mountainix: A tactical agreement between heaven and earth. Altitude, lower oxygen, low temperatures. It is a form quite sought after by people who want a general boost in their magic since it takes up a bit of everything. This would be the best for Tecna as is a liminal transformation, as her magic is -liminal I mean- which tapes natural and artificial magics-

Skyix: If you want to live uniquely and exclusively in heaven, this is your transformation. If your magic revolves around the weather or winds, this is your transformation. Sometimes people get it accidentally while looking for the Mountainix. The ears disappear and the eyes change to adapt to strong winds and harsh weather. Featherlike wings.

Mermaidix: A form adapted to life in the oceans and the depths, includes beaches, mangroves, etc.  It can tolerate unsalted water, but not too well (marshes). It gives Aisha more strength. Wear details of the sea such as algae, corals, shells, starfish, sea dollars, etc and the wings become a little they act more like a dorsal fin, also, mermaid/octopi/jellyfish tails. Equivalent to the Sirenix.

Naiadix: The transformation akin of people of fresh waters like fountains, wells, springs, streams and brooks. Includes swamps and bogs. It can tolerate salty water, but not too well (marshes). Use very delicate fabrics, reeds, wild rice, water lilies and some other ornamental flowers. It maintains the legs but swimming membranes appear on the hands, feet and ears, the wings shrink to be more dynamic. It’s cries “wet”. Also favors Aisha.

Cosmix: This form doesn't actually fall under the Great Dragon, but the Ethereal that dominates it can't be bothered to cares. To get it you have to befriend a Lumen. Who are creatures that live in their stars (not planets). It allows you to move through space. Favors Stella.

MORIX AND SOMNIX, Death and Dreams Realms - mine and retouched dreamix/onyrix

They had witch equivalents.

Morix - The transformation blessed by the Phoenix. You must have Harmonix. A very misunderstood transformation, it allows you to communicate with the world of the dead, rest agitated spirits and the people they left here, not just summon zombies -which look like shadows. And you are sooo much harder to kill. It also increases your healing abilities, humans and nature related. [Not all Good is purely Good. And not all Evil is purely Evil.] Ripped, gnawed clothes. Their wings barely move. Darkar is a Morix Fae in this rewinxing. Witches from almost dying a couple of times can access this form. That's bad and sad and traumatic. And it doesn't work for fairies. It is a complicated transformation for the fairies if you have not received it as a gift. Accepting and welcoming death as part of life, especially for such long lives, is difficult.

Dreamix - CANCELLED, Harmonix acting as this au charmix. Time limit.

Somnix- You must have Harmonix. SO, kinda transformation blessed by another Ethereal but this one usually kinda say hi to people more frecuently (in their dreams -no joking). Then you have to immerse yourself in a magical induced dream, come out of your own dream and find the Door to the Ethereal Palace and get an ok. Or unconsciously wander outside of your own dreams long enough to collect energy from the Dream Plane. On the Plane of Dreams which watch out, it's a realm of dreams and nightmares. Good thing fairies attrack good dreams... normally. It’s the Onyrix one.

Bloomix - As much as it is one of my favorite designs when it comes to outfits... Cancelled.

It’s simply tuning in to a ley line and recharging in this au, although it is crazy, like having a broken leg, fixing it, getting high and going for a run, it is better to give some time or meditate, just meditate... unless you do it as a group in a wild magic crossroad and don’t die in the attempt I guess. Then Wild Renmants.

Faunix - Yes

Love and be loved by an animal. If Roxy were a fairy in rewinxing (here is a witch), she would have gotten this form by default.

Tynix - Cancelled

Along with MiniWorlds There are many planets, there are nature reserves. And if there wasn't, from enchantix you can miniaturize yourself.

Mythix -... YES

Ugg... I REALLY DON’T LIKE THIS FORM AT ALL. redesign redesign, REDESIGN.... *note to seft, armor, give the armor I delete in Bloomix*

Can be use by a witch, or even a specialist, Mike or Vanessa, same name.

You must prove themselves before any of the Seven Ancestral Rods. All identical in form and color, except when used. They contain the fragments of conscience and magic of their former users. And they demand fragments of yours to be used, so that each next user who comes is more worthy of their power and gets even stronger. Commit.

So it's someone else's clothes with little, very little influences from you. It includes armor -because I want- Because the Ancient Ones were prepared to die.

NYMPHIX - my version

Has a witch equivalent.

Only achieved by those who have achieved ... all of the different Realms. Daphne has it.. because, she's Dahne. And she is older than she looks.

A long robe-tunic-flowy cloth, any style, just a single accessory, bare feet.

Its looks like an ageless version of the winx form. With bigger wings, intricate details only appreciable up close, intangible.

Winx form is achieved by feeling proud or with yourself for a moment, and that memory is the activator of the subsequent transformations.

Philauntix It is achieved by loving yourself (2.0), the good and the bad, what you did, are doing and what you will do. Not forgiving it, loving it. And not for a second, it has to be something frequent enough that energy has been stored for a while to activate this transformation.

ENKIX  - NEW

Believed it was only obtained by those who have obtained in Nymphix... until the Winx obtained it. Be loved... by a Ethernal.

The last transformation for the last Realm. Magic. Magic at its Purest Form.

There may be more transformations based on things that people love. Music, travel. Or in different acts of love. Kill for love, surrender, give up something IMPORTANT for love. But I'm not going to start designing more.
