I don't know how I feel about Ahsoka behaving more like Anakin… I know she idolized the man but Malachor happened! And I always thought pary of Ahsoka as a foil is to hold Anakin back in certain places. She's temple-raised after all. We should be seeing her questioning what it means to be a Jedi! Maybe the show presents it better and it's just her internalizing Anakin's fighting style physically or picking up his habits, but Anakin only never forced her into his form!

anyways ithren canonically starts the game as an oathbreaker paladin always. she was oath of conquest as a bhaalist, but her oath broke when she was attacked by orin and humiliated, and the subsequent brain damage means ithren literally cannot remember what it was. though the urge thing kinda overshadows it, trying to remember what was so important to her it gave her paladin powers is a major thread for her through act 1 and 2.

Just here to say that [no order 66] is AU to me but [cody went to Tatooine after he went AWOL and lived with Obi-Wan] is just straight up canon. Maybe it’s just me but when I saw OBK (the series] I just assumed at this moment either Cody wasn’t aware (yet) that obiwan had survived either he was helping Rex on a mission somewhere else.

it's sooo funny to me that im like yeah i love this pathetic flawed old man character whose life is ruined and who loses everything he loves and gets beat up like an above average amount and who is prideful at times and oblivious at other times and plays a role in his life's destruction but doesn't completely understand it because he doesn't want to see but that drives him to agony and faithlessness for ten years in the aftermath

and then someone else is like yeah damn. he's really pathetic huh.

I may not be a prolific enough writer for this game, but I’ll give it a go.

most hits: Adrift & Entangled (85,483 hits). My first ever stab at writing fanfic, first chapters published in 2019. This story is so very, very dear to me, as it has literally been my refuge through the hardest years of my life. Chapter 27 was posted last March, and I am still chipping away at the epilogue. I will never abandon this story, but I am slower and more scattered than I have ever been. If you’ve enjoyed this story so far, please don’t give up on me. You don’t see me around, but my heart hasn’t left the fandom.

After the Hardeen operation, emotions are raw. But before anything can be fully sorted out, the boys are sent to Christophsis for their next mission. Things don’t go as planned, and they find themselves alone in an unknown system with no hyperspace capabilities and no effective means of communication.

2nd most kudos: A Plea from the Lost to the Found (561 kudos). Started prior to OBK series, completed nearly a year later. Brought to you by the world’s slowest fanfic writer. Wanted to explore how Ben would have handled a regretful Anakin showing up at his Tatooine abode (before we learned he lived in a goddamn CAVE for 10 years, good lord).

Two knocks.

Both inexplicably timid, but sharp against the silence. Enough to make Ben feel dislodged from his own being. Disoriented in his own home.

4th most bookmarks: Out of Place (19 bookmarks). I starting writing this because I needed to laugh. Only one chapter written here, but I’m SO NOT DONE WITH THIS IDEA. I really wanted to explore the comedic potential of an in-universe Obi-Wan Kenobi meeting up with an out-of-universe Anakin Skywalker. I had so much fun writing that first chapter, and I loved stretching my creative muscles to develop this setting.

A crack au in which Jedi-Master Obi-Wan Kenobi has managed to get himself pulled from hyperspace and yeeted into an entirely different galaxy. He crash-lands on planet Earth and is taken in by Anakin Skywalker, an airplane mechanic who’s made his home in the hangar of an old airstrip in southern Nevada.

I want to preface this by saying that I'm not trying to say that Filoni is a better writer than Headland. I just find it interesting to note some differences in approach that stuck out for me:

In TCW and in TotJ, jedi funerary practices come up from time to time and are solemn occasions. There's even a brief funeral for Master Piel when they're still in enemy territory. I thought about this when Master Sol was prepared to leave all the bodies behind without a second glance. (which isn't deeply taboo for me personally, but it's notable in how it doesn't interact with Disney's other shows- even OBK has a scene where seeing the preserved bodies of the jedi is intended to provoke horror)

In TCW when Ahsoka leaves the order as a padawan she has a wide range of skills that impress her peers, who call her education privileged. She finds work easily and is recruited to a position of high rank. Osha calls her skills non-transferable and can only find exploitative illegal work.

They both bring their own versions to the table, clearly, which is good in the sense that I would dislike it if everyone were absolutely bound by the last holder of the baton. But anyway. an observation.

Questions about Asajj Ventress' return that TBB didn't answer 😞

(I knew it wouldn't, but I still had hoped)

The "I have a few lives left" line explains very little. And I still have a bunch of questions after reading Dark Disciple. I can guess she was resurrected by Nightsister magic, obviously. The mechanics of how she's back doesn't worry me. I wonder the when and what happened after.

My first question is how long it took her to come back. Does Quinlan and/or Obi-Wan know that she's alive? Did she come back as soon as the book was over while Vos and OWK were still on Dathomir? Was it after? But how much after? Was it before or after Order 66? Does she know Quinlan survived the purge?

Dark Disciple spans like 5 or 6 months through the timeline, by my calculations. Let's see: I took Quinlan a month or so to find Asajj and gain her trust while working together, and another few weeks while they trained on Dathomir. Yet another month until Ventress tried to rescue Quinlan after their failed mission. Who knows how long it passed after he fell to the Dark Side (this is Star Wars, so of course the time passing clues are as vague as possible). Then another whole month (as the book says) after OBK and Ventress did rescue Vos (and nobody noticed he had fallen except her). And it should have passed at least another month after she "died" before Revenge of The Sith, assuming Obi-Wan was again in charge of Quinlan's recovery (as the book hinted at, but I may be wrong) and Vos was nowhere to be seen during the movie, meaning that he was well enough to leave unsupervised. I know, I know, TCW and the book were made after the movie and all that, but I'm trying to make sense out of this mess, logically. So, logic tells me that if the book is set on 19 BBY between seasons 6 and 7 of TCW, which doesn't even encompasses the entire year, there's little time between the end of the book and Order 66.

Considering that, I'm divided between 2 possibilities of when she was reborn:

If she came back to life before Order 66 was executed, there are 2 ways in which things went. A) She told Quinlan she was alive, and they're happy together now (even if he didn't appear on TBB). This is the option my shipping heart wants. However, my head tells me, it's the least likely 😭. B) She didn't tell him. She sacrificed their relationship, as not make him chose between her and the Jedi and/or not to tempt him to fall again with attachments. And then Order 66 happened, and now she thinks he's dead 😭😭😭

Or she was reborn after Order 66, and she thinks he's dead anyway😭😭😭

See, this is why I shouldn't consume more new (to me) media. I get attached to characters and ships, and then I suffer. I need answers! I need to know!!!
