Foxbury Campus Overhaul

I personally hated the sleek modern look of Foxbury, so I've replaced the buildings to look more like Britechester university. Note: I did my best to preserve the core Foxbury object interactions, but my focus was aesthetics first, so there may be a slightly 'imperfect' experience for sims attending Foxbury university.

Coffee Cart Overhaul

The university coffee carts have a new design and a new expanded menu, featuring food & drinks from various packs such as croissants, crepes, macarons and café lattes. (Only food from packs you own will work.)

Paris-Inspired CC

New objects that you can use to decorate your own builds, including a functional espresso machine for the obligatory french cafe.

This save file uses all EP’s, GP’s (not Journey to Batuu), SP’s and most of the kits (Country Kitchen, Blooming Rooms, Incheon Arrivals, Retro Fit, Industrial loft, Moonlight Chic, Little Campers, Pastel Pop, Everyday Clutter, Bathroom Clutter, Simtimates Collection, First Fits, Desert Luxe, Modern Luxe, Poolside Splash, Book Nook, Basement treasures, Greenhouse Haven, Pastel Pop and Bust the Dust).

What’s new in this update?:

Chestnut Ridge and Tomarang have been completely redone, added multiple new lots, updated other lots and provided make-overs for the households.

Added new households (when living in world; with jobs, friends, preferences etc).

Added rental lots in multiple other worlds outside of Tomarang (Brindleton Bay, Henford-on-Bagley, Britechester and more).

Spooky Fall Festival has been moved to Chestnut Ridge (bigger with haunted house ride). The old lot in Brindleton Bay has been changed into a cemetery.

What do you get with this save?:

For my save file all lots are either completely new builds (almost all) or renovations, ofcourse created by me. Exceptions: I have added the official builds for the releases of the Paranormal SP by Dr Ashley and the Dream Home Decorator GP by Deligracy to this save, since I thought they deserved a spot. These two are therefore not my own creations, credits are given in the description to Dr Ashley and Deligracy. Mt. Komorebi, Henford-on-Bagley, Tartosa, Moonwood Mill, Copperdale, San Sequoia and Chestnut Ridge lots are largely created by GameChangers. Most lots have gotten smaller updates, others are completely new builds by me.

All the townies had make-overs plus I added new families to spice it up a bit. Some of the townies are made by other creators, who are given credits in the description of the household. All the townies in the different worlds have a story, some include sentiments and adjusted relationships to the story.

Added plenty of community lots to give your Sims something to do (YAY!). Almost every world has one restaurant, but it also includes festivals that represent the four seasons (park lots) and a fully functional shopping street in Magnolia Promenade (toy store, bridal store and more).

I have added rental lots so you can go on vacation in more worlds. For example in Sulani, Willow Creek and Windenburg.

Other details:

As mentioned at the beginning, this save uses almost all packs (except Journey to Batuu and some kits). This means that if you download it without owning or installing most of the packs a lot of objects will disappear from the save, but if you are not bothered by this you can still download and play in it.  

I disabled the autonomous fame gain and neigborhood action plan voting/environmental changes, you enable them again in the pack settings menu.

I would love to add some households in this save created by all of you! Add your household under the hashtag #fleuraliatownies in The Sims 4 Gallery, you can add a storyline and world in the description but thats not obligatory. If I respond on your creation it means that I have incorporated it in the save for the next update.

Sadly every game update comes with a lot of bugs. I suggest before reporting problems in the save to me, to check on forums if its related to a general bug/glitch or to mods (if you use them).

Hey. Look. Promise me you won’t take Spanish. Don’t do it. I haven’t taken it here but everyone I know says the teacher is super transphobic/homophobic/conservative/etc. Apparently there’s complaints against her every year but she hasn’t been fired yet. Otherwise, I haven’t heard much anything about the French teacher but she seems pretty nice, nobody’s ever complained about her. The Latin teacher is great so I’ve heard. If you want to go into certain sciences, apparently Latin is a pretty good language to know, too. I’m taking German, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you actually want to learn German because the class is really hard and most people barely scrape through it. We also have a new mandarin teacher but I don’t know anything about her, she starts this year.

Hi, I know I'm not fully an editing blog, but I felt the obligatoriness of posting these transparents

I have those transparents for sometime on my gallery, so I think its good giving other editors them because they seem to need more Vertin content (she doenst have too much content 😭)

For the first one I used AI to erase her name, so if you're against AIs I think you wouldn't like to use the first one, but I tried my best to use other versions of that image to erase the name too. Even thought the background was removed by myself, not an AI.

Beware This Person

Before we begin, obligatory disclaimer: do NOT harass the person I am about to bring up. I don’t want things to spiral out of control and I am simply here to warn you guys about a potentially harmful person I advise you stay away from. Ok? Good. Also a TL;DR is at the bottom of the post just in case.

It has been brought to my attention that someone I had beef with on Discord took to Tumblr and has been badmouthing me for months. Sidetable-Drawer (also one of the mods on Hottoepecker) and I met in a Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends server though I came across her blogs around the same time. We initially got along well, but then I noticed her behavior would change when it came to disagreements. It got to the point where I felt she was getting extreme, and she blocked me shortly before leaving the server entirely. I thought that would be the end of it, but I find out that two months after she left the server (and two months before the post was sent to me with monthly reblogs), she made an entire rant about two sides of the fandom. However, I noticed for one particular side she seemed to talk less about the side in general and moreso one person, and that person is me. Since she blocked me and made me powerless to defend myself on the post itself, I’m here to warn you all about her behavior.

The post is about how the “Bloo is basically Cartman” and “Bloo did nothing wrong it’s everyone else’s fault” sides of the Foster’s fandom are really annoying. But when she talked about the latter, she brought up multiple things I did specifically, in addition to how her saying she won’t pretend Bloo is an UWU Soft Baby or whatever was something she only started saying after I had the audacity to claim…that the rest of the main cast are flawed individuals that likely don’t understand the weight of their actions against Bloo (ex. excessive yelling, hitting, double-standards; for more info watch The Hidden Pain Of Blooregard Q. Kazoo). For the record, I never claimed “Bloo did nothing wrong”, I only claimed “Bloo deserved better”. But enough about that, I’m going to point out the tip-offs that give away she’s using me to cover up how she’s actually a bully.

“Guys he's just a goofy little asshole who's fun to watch (most of the time) but sometimes needs to be thrown against a wall.”

-She said this a notable amount of times in the Discord server and it sounds unironic. I don’t want to read into this too much, but I firmly believe children don’t deserve to be abused. Yet I’m the demonizer?

“He’s got his own problems…but it also doesn’t justify him being a jerk.”

-I never said his reasons make it ok for him to be a jerk, all I said was he has reasons for acting out. Understanding is not the same as excusing. This is also the same person who thinks Mac was in the right for abandoning Bloo twice but three a fit when Bloo dared to “cheat” on Mac with another kid later on (she can believe it if she wants, but I find it funny that she makes excuses for Mac while having a zero-tolerance policy for Bloo).

“I've seen some people come up with BS takes defending everything Bloo does and throwing every other character under a bus and demonizing them (we had an entire video post about FRANKIE derailed with a reblog about how everyone is "too mean" to Bloo. Please make a new post for your bad takes)”

-As I said above, the first half is not true. Sidetable-Drawer specifically accused me of demonizing them when I explained how leaving Bloo to die in the pilot episode despite mustering the courage to save Mac mere seconds later was the catalyst for his behavior. As for the other…yeah, I derailed one of her threads (because she mentioned Bloo was being a little shit for wanting credit for a rescue), but it was one time. A singular time. This is hypocritical of Sidetable-Drawer to complain about because she’s guilty of doing the exact same thing MULTIPLE times. She not only derailed Bloo conversations to gush about Mac, but also invaded Gloo shipping spaces and constantly called me and others disgusting proshippers over a HEADCANON. Here are some screenshots of Sidetable-Drawer’s continuous derailments, as well as others trying to get her to stop ship-policing: (for privacy sake I’m blocking out all pfps and usernames aside from mine but will put “SD” next to Sidetable-Drawer’s messages)

So much for not burning me at the stake. Imagine calling my opinions bad takes when she’s the one actively harassing others over a ship she can’t accept is genuinely harmless, simply because it doesn’t fit her interpretation of a tweet Craig McCracken made. I’ve talked many times about how the aging thing is not necessarily set in stone for Bloo because of the existence of loopholes (Land Of The Flea) and the implication that Mac’s subconscious reason for creating Bloo was to have the big brother Terrence should have been, so I’ll just leave it at that.

“He's a funny jerk. Sometimes you just have to leave it at that.”

-Mac is a happy little kid, you could just leave it at that too. But you love to dissect how he’s a powerful character for coming out of his trauma a better person and theorizing how Mac’s life used to be before the show’s events. Why shouldn’t Bloo’s complexity be talked about? It sounds like you take issue with the idea that Bloo can be as layered as his peers.

“People are allowed to like Bloo but people are also allowed NOT to like him for these reasons, and you have to deal with it.”

-Then why did you accuse me of demonizing the main cast for saying the others needed to do better too? Why did you harass Gloo shippers to the point of trying to guilt-trip them out of shipping it? YOU’RE the one who’s not allowing people to think differently from yourself.

“(In the tags) Sometimes I remember that horribly squicky ‘Bloo Defense’ video and die a little bit. Sometimes you need to back up and tell yourself…it’s JUST a drawing :p”

-Ship-policing wasn’t enough for you, now you’re policing character analyses just because my view is wildly different from yours. How would you feel if someone told you that for saying Mac deserves better? You yourself are adamant against using “it’s just a cartoon”, but I guess you have no issue using it when someone else’s opinion doesn’t fit your idea of how things should be. Also if you really hated my video that much, you could have left a comment on the video proper instead of dragging my name in the mud for months.

All of this happened over simple disagreements I tried to be polite about despite her ignoring boundaries and shaming others time and time again. Normally I don’t respond to hate comments, but after having to deal with Sidetable-Drawer’s behavior on Discord for months and eventually finding out how she went out of her way to mock me and leave me powerless to defend myself, I knew I had to speak out about all this. If anybody figured out she was actually talking about one person and knew it was me, I could have been harassed. If I can help at least one person avoid being on the receiving end of her bullying, so be it.

TL;DR A Foster’s Home fan vilified me for having a different perspective, disguised a Tumblr post and subsequent reblogs targeting me to be about another group of Foster’s fans, and I’m warning others to stay away from her so they don’t go through the same thing if not worse.

At some point we have to talk about the weird or maybe not so weird connection between CAFAB kids who maybe liked yaoi or BL a bit too much and then turned out to be trans........in a normal way that has compassion for all concerned. Becuase I remember when there was that blog on here that had several mods who were trans masc and directly credited a teenage interest in yaoi as being a stepping stone for figuring themselves out later down the line. However unfortunately they channeled this into ‘cis girls who are into yaoi and BL are horrible disgusting fetishists! Trans mlm who are into yaoi and BL are ok and harmless (but maybe should read something better quality)’. The whole blog was like that. It may still be but I’m not checking! I don’t think I need to explain what’s wrong here, right? For a start, today’s apparently cis girl is obviously tomorrow’s transmasc, depending on how the minds flow. Obviously. (Obligatory disclaimer that I’m NOT saying every cis girl into yaoi comes out as transmasc.) Secondly, I’m not claiming that no kid into yaoi has ever done anything harmful to people in real life because of their interest, e.g. asked innappropriate questions upon finding out a guy is gay/bi, making remarks or demands to a gay couple to ‘perform gayness’ for them, etc. I absolutely have witnessed this and it was gross, absolutely was fetishisation, and should not have happened. But also, the harm caused by a cis girl and a not yet out trans man who do these things are no different- the targets of the harrassment feel the same either way. So surely we should focus on the behaviour rather than whether the person doing it comes out as trans later down the line? Behaviour is far easier to talk about than the blog’s favourite nebulous question of ‘are you fetishising in your thoughts? Is certain media leading you astray? Are you a cis woman or nonbinary person who is not a man? Then yes it is, work on that!’ Followed by a cycle of self flaggelation and swearing off all M/M content just in case of fetishisation for like a decade (oh look, that one is me!). I don’t want to pick on one blog too much because a few years ago this line of thinking was very common on the trans positive but kinda sex negative section of the tumblr left. (Not judging anyone for being sex negative because I’ve been there are various points in my life due to my experiences. It’s not something that is tied to any particular set of politics/being a TERF or anything like that. If this is what describes how you feel at the moment, then that’s ok. You just need to leave other people’s sex stuff alone.) I won’t ramble on any more because I know the longer I go on the less likely anyone reads this, but please please let’s try and do better than the past, by being more nuanced and compassionate than ‘cis girls who like yaoi are all bad and creepy!’ Btw I generally agree with this kind of blog that yaoi can often have bad consent practices and unacknowledged sexual violence. I have no use for it any more and I assumed most people grew out of it but I do know an adult (trans) woman who regularly buys and reads it. I’m not judging anyone who likes it and maybe it is better quality now. I hope so!

Just An Act - High school AU with the ASOIAF cast putting on a Christmas play. Jaime is lead of course. Super cute. Has mild Rhaegar bashing which is always a plus.

General Information:

This event will run from January 3rd - January 9th 2021 to celebrate the Yamanaka clan members. This event is organized in English, although we do accept work from languages other than English.

 For more information, please read further.

Event Guidelines:

1. Any original work is welcomed, it can be: fanfictions, fanarts, gifs, graphics, video edits, moodboard, or/and any other creative works you can think of. Plagiarism is prohibited.

2. This event is to celebrate all official Yamanaka family members, so, feel free to celebrate members other than Ino, Inojin, Inoichi, and Sai, if you feel like it!

3. We will not accept any character hate, ship bashing, incest, pedophilia, or reposting / editing / tracing of other people’s work, or anything related to that.

4. Feel free to collaborate on working for the original fan content with fellow Yamanaka family enthusiasts, if you want to! Kindly make sure to properly credit your work if it is a result of collaboration.

5. Although this event is organized in English, we welcome work from other languages too! You can read more about it in our Posting Guidelines below.

FAQ:

No, because this event is also geared to include Inojin, thus it should be family-friendly or PG-13 maximum.   

4. ‘I want to participate but I don’t know what I can make. What should I do?’

Feel free to check out our Prompts Muses  for some inspirations! Also remember that we accept all kinds of original creative work, including moodboards or videos.  

5. Do we have to follow examples provided in the Prompts Muses? 

Of course you don’t have to. The Prompts Muses are there to spark your inspiration in case you need it. Don’t hesitate to expand your imagination beyond the muses! 

6.  Can we combine the prompts?

Yes, you can combine the prompts that are in the same day, such as Tradition and Telepathy (for example). 

7. Can we make up elements from the existing canon? For example, making Inoichi alive,  aging up Inojin, giving Inojin a little sister, or giving a name to Ino’s   mom for fanfiction’s sake? 

Yes. As long as such changes don’t erase nor undermine canon development (such as: Ino being clan leader of the Yamanaka after Inoichi’s death, Sai being part of the clan after getting married to Ino), changes are okay. Redesigns are also okay. These kinds of changes are what the “Reimagination” prompt is aimed for.  

8.  Can we post or submit  previews of our works before the event?

Yes, feel free to do so. If you want to do it, you can mention yamanaka-week  (Tumblr) and/or @yamanakaweek (Twitter) or so we can reblog/retweet it, provided that it adheres to the rules.

Please also add #yamanakaweekpreview to your post, in order to differentiate it with your actual work on the week of the event.

9.  Are other Ino-related or Sai-related or Inoichi-related ships allowed?

This event is inspired from the canon Yamanaka family members. As much as we respect other ships, this event wants to to celebrate bonds between the canon-married Yamanaka family members and/or their dynamic with their children. Therefore, we cannot accept contents that do not follow the canon pairings (Ino/Sai and Inoichi/Ino’s mom). 

Fanon ships are only okay for Yamanaka clan members who are not canon-married, such as: Fuu Yamanaka x Torune Aburame (for example).

Obligatory Cyberpunk 2077 rant

(Spoilers, duh; also I'm an absolute noob)

Somehow I didn't enjoy the game, and I think I may have figured out why.

I guess I approached the game with the wrong expectations.

I expected there to be more gang politics. You had a goddamn trailer about gangs. I expected to make allies and enemies. To fight in battles between them. Turn the streets of night city into a warzone. I didn't expect all gangs to still exist once I finished the game. Or at least make interacting with them in any way more meaningful than changing the voice lines of your enemies/friends. Change the items shops have to offer. I didn't notice a diffence in combat styles, but I may just be inattentive. You changed the cars, why not the rest?

I expected to not only see the skyscrapers from the outside (with a few exceptions). I expected to have firefights on rooftops and apartments, to jump across skybridges. Maybe fly from rooftop to rooftop in a helicopter?

I expected the corporations to not be distant entities which do... Something? I expected to be involved in their actions. To work for various employees. To hack the cameras of boardrooms, steal files, to manipulate, persuade or blackmail my opponents. (Don't get me wrong, there are "steal file" type missions, except they don't matter at all)

Perhaps I even hoped to be able to play my enemies against another. Frame a rival gang for the murder of a corpo.

This is the big one:

And I guess I didn't expect the world to be so horrible, the story so unsatifyingly sad. I was under no illusion that I would be playing in a dystopia. But I was also expecting that I would be playing as an overpowered protagonist killing machine (and in combat, you do). From this I concluded that I would be able to "fix" the world. After all, noone can stop me. Except the plot, apparently. In cp2077, "mission completed" has a good chance of meaning either "nothing I cared about happened" or "someone I cared about died, and there was nothing I could do". And I'm not talking about a dramatic death; I'm talking about pointless deaths ofscreen, without me even beeing there. All important choices are between bad and worse (and of course the npcs will blame me for it). (Or maybe these are just the parts that I remember).

I expected to win. Or at least to be able to. To save my life. "Oh no, your body started rejecting you because the relic overwrote it with johnny. We only have an AI a that can swap engrams at will and the relic still stuck in my head. It was even designed to work on dead bodies. There is definitely nothing we can do. /s". And why? I get that raising the stakes last moments is a plot device or something, but not after I did all the things, shot all the npcs, made my way to the big glowing monolith and pressed the button labeled "you win". Not with zero foreshadowing. At this point I expect to have the credits roll, wake up and continue playing side missions (properly after the mission, none of that "reload last save" bs)

The last two paragraphs were major story complaints. People sometimes use the term "emotional rollercoaster", but rollercoaster engineers are artists. Every bend is just wide enough to not actually hurt you, every acceleration is just low enough to still be fun, and once you get off it, you enjoyed it. Cp2077 is a pair of rocket boosters and infinite 90° angles. The game can't decide if it wants to be a lighthearted power trip or whether you should experience total helplessness, leading me to enjoy neither. I do not care about floating items, t-posing enemies or what must be worst car AI since forever (even though I do appreciate the "drives to side of lane to let you pass easier" part), if you just make sure your game doesn't feel like it was designed to make you feel bad. I guess I expected the "game of the decade" to be happy. (Also, does anyone else find it weird that the ending clearly labeled "none of your friends die" is considered the bad ending?)

I am actually quite happy that you almost didn't do the whole "Skillchecks for better endings" and diplomacy skill bs, because it would have turned the game into "how must I invest my skill points to pass the next check", which I consider extremely boring. Slipped up in the last Delamain mission though.

There are a couple of small letdowns like that actually, for example, why is a 90k €$ motorbike worse than Jackie's arch, which you get for free long before you get 90k €$?

On the topic of €$, I actually quite like the 2077 slang.

Another note: what tf is the deal with max tac? They get their own special introduction in the into-car-trip and an ominous loading screen tip, and then just don't show up for the entire game???

I guess I also expected more diversity in items, especially Cyberware. The current one is fine, but I exped more than fine. There is still a bit of stuff locked for me, but my point still stands. You could have done something more with eyes and legs at least. Increase movement speed? Reduce fall damage? Increase max-tagged enemies count? Detect enemies though walls short range? Display camera fov? Honestly, I'd pay just to make the enemy highlight less obnoxious so that I can see if they are standing before or behind cover.

I expected crafting to be less boring. You have a whole skill tree for that! But it's installing generic mods, creating items, and a generic "upgrade" option that just adds a bit of damage. I expected to take my guns apart, build or configure scopes, firering-patterns, magazines, barrels, stocks, ammo types,... But I do absolutely love the "turn any weapon non-lethal" option.

And I expected this game to have a descent UI. Ignoring the glitchy HUD (actually, don't ignore it, pleaaaase make the minimap zoom out while driving), what's up with that inventory menu? How am I supposed to navigate that? Find aything? I get that you have to optimize for controllers, but seriously? Is there any real structure? You have your main page, which is nice, but then you have all the subpages, form which you can navigate to some others. Sometimes there are random elements dotted about? The Messages and shards menu are almost unusable. Have you never heard of "sort by new"? And the grouping is off anyway. Also, why tf do car advertisements not include the car's ps / curb weight?

Worst part is, I will come back to the game. I can just leave a broken world. I enjoy the combat. I even started to like driving with a keyboard. The scenery looks beautiful. But for some reason they need to keep telling me how terrible the world is and don't allow me to do anything about it. Maybe realistic, but if I wanted realistic, I wouldn't play a videogame. Overall it's not fun, at least for me.

Does anyone feel about the story like I do? The reviews mostly praised it iirc, but it just make me feel bad, and not in the enjoyable melancholy way.
