New Story Chapter Two

This story I have been working with @safarichan finally has an update. Sorry this one is kind of short. We all know about the pirmarly fights in the anime. Ao3 link. Summary: The second part of the Chunin exams are on there way. Finally done it's time to fight each other to see who gets to join in the final part of the test.

It seems Calesta’s team isn’t the first ones to arrive. There was a team there before them. Sie’s cousin Kiba’s team is there. Right away, Sie dashes off with Ocha to talk to him. 

“Looks like your team got here first,” Sie beams, “Auntie would be proud.” 

Kiba looks at her with a huge grin, “Of course, I am the best you know.” 

“We weren’t the first team here. A team from Suna was here hours before us, “Shino states, popping Kiba’s bubble-making him mad. 

Kiba was about to yell at Shino when the rest of Sie’s team joined. However, it does seem Akamaru was relieved that Kiba didn’t get the chance. 

“A team from Suna, you say. Anything makes them stand out?” Kura asked. 

That’s his way of asking what they look like. Kura thinks he’s being crafty or unique when he does that. But, to his team members, he comes off more like he is showing off. 

“Well, one had a giant gourd on his back,” Hinata squeaked. 

Kura and Sie take a step back. It was the same team they had encountered before. Good thing they didn’t take them on as Kura wanted. Even Kura thinks they dodged sudden death. 

“We heard them talking, and they claimed to have been here for twelve hours. At that time, we only arrived,” Shino pushes up his sunglasses. 

“I hate to have to fight them,” Sie shivers. 

“I pity the ones that did,” Kura is surprised by how fast the sand ninjas got there. 

“Only team 8 and the team from the Sunagakure are here,” Calesta speaks for the first time since they entered the tower. 

Hinata nods her head. Calesta starts to walk away. Her teammates are fast to follow. 

After a few days of waiting, more teams came in. Sie is happy her cousin made it through the forest in one piece and will continue with the Chunin Exam and Akamaru. Kura seems to only care about his team winning. With Calesta, it is hard to tell what she is thinking. While waiting for their lunch to cook, a familiar voice calls out. 

“We’re not the first team here. So as punishment for making us late, I will now do 5,000 one-finger push-ups.” 

Upon hearing the voice, Calesta opens her eyes and faces the direction it came from. Taking a step forward to get a better view as she scans the area. Once she sees the familiar green jumpsuit, bowl haircut with giant eyebrows, youthful boy Calesta sits by the now cooked food.

Finally, it’s the end of the second round of the Chunin Exams. Half of the teams that entered are gone, hopefully not because they are dead; you never know. Now the remaining teams are all standing in what looks like a training arena with their teams joined. All groups are standing in their own line facing the Hokage and other members of the examiner team. 

Since so many teams are left, there will be a preliminary round instead of going right into the final round. Kura thinks it would be fun if Sie had to fight Kiba. On the other hand, Sie doesn’t want Akamaru to get hurt. Calesta couldn’t care less as long as she doesn’t fight any of her team members, Rock Lee or TenTen.

All the genin move on top to join their jonin sensei. Calesta and her teammates met with a young lady with orange hair that curls on the bottom, wearing a black tube top and a long black skirt showing off her stomach area, revealing the scar across her belly button area and her clans mark on her left shoulder. 

“I knew you three would make it,” she smiles at her team. 

All three bowed and said together, “Hello, Celeste sensei.”     

First round Uchiha Sasuke vs Akado Yoroi. It was a short match with Sasuke as the winner. Second round: Yakushi Kabuto vs. Yayoi Calesta. 

Happy to be able to fight someone she doesn’t know by name, only as the card guy, Calesta, reaches the top of the stairs about to head down when Kabuto calls out, “I give up.” 

He didn’t even move from his spot. His hand is in the air, with everyone looking at him. Calesta closes her eyes and makes her way to her team. 

“Sorry, you didn’t get to fight,” whispers Kura. 

Calesta only shrugs. She doesn’t care; it only means she will move on and fight in the third round. Hopefully, she won’t be the only one on her team. 

Now it’s time for the third match. Aburame Shino vs Abumi Zaku. Shino won in a creative yet creepy, disturbing way. Sie had to look away while also covering Ocha’s eyes. Fourth is Kankuro vs Tsurugi Misumi. Kankuro is the winner; it felt like he spoiled a significant theme of his attacks unless the real Kankuro was there the whole time. 

Fifth round is Haruno Sakura vs Yamanaka Ino. Both lost in what was the most boring fight ever. Celeste almost fell asleep. Here’s hoping the next round will be more enjoyable—Temari vs. TenTen. With Lee cheering so loud, everyone in the arena can hear him even if they cover their ears. Sadly his cheers weren’t enough to save TenTen from losing to Temari. 

“I bet that Suna chick cheated somehow,” Kura mumbles. 

“If she did, Hayate would have intervened,” Celeste reassured Kura. 

Everyone’s eyes widened in surprise when Temari tossed TenTen’s unmoving body like it was nothing and the fainted ninja meant nothing. Good thing Lee was able to jump down and grab poor TenTen before she hit the ground. Calesta looked both worried and angry for a bit.

“She didn’t have to be so rude,” Celeste crossed her arms. 

Kura and Sie nod in agreement. Calesta looks at the board to see who’s next. Nara Shikamaru vs Tsuchi Kin. The winner is Shikamaru, in a funny way. The smirk on Celeste’s face says it all. The next battle is Inuzuka Kia vs. Uzumaki Naruto. Sadly Kiba loses in the most embarrassing way possible. Poor, poor Kiba. She will win her fight in honor of her cousin and clan. 

Next is Hyuga Hinata vs Hyuga Neji. It is not that Hinata lost; it’s how she did. Neji wanted to kill her, and if it wasn’t for the Jonin that stopped him, Celeste included, he would have. The next fight is Gaara vs. Rock Lee. It was an epic battle, a very intense fight. When Lee dropped his leg weights, everyone thought Lee would win. But instead, Gaara took the victory, causing a great deal of damage to Lee, and some wondered if he would survive. 

Calesta was worried for Lee. She even rushes down to see him. Her look of worry matches the look of anger on Naruto. There are two fights left, and Choji is getting more worried. He’s glad he doesn’t have to fight the scary sand guy, but Choji doesn’t want to fight the frightening sound ninja or the girl with the cute puppy. Choji doesn’t want to fight a dog. 

The second to last fight is Akimichi Choji vs. Kinuta Dosu. Sadly for Choji, he had to fight the creepy sound ninja; and lost. So the final battle is between two of the same team. Yamakaze Kura vs Inuzuka Sie. The two teammates look at each other before looking at their sensei. She only smiles and shrugs. 

With a sigh, they both make their way downstairs. Neither Celeste nor Calesta is cheering for their teammates doesn’t seem fair. The fight starts with the two not moving for a bit. The referee was about to say something when Ocha jumped off Sie’s head, and Kura simultaneously moved his left leg behind him. 

Kura planned to stop Ocha before she ate any food pill. He didn’t know that there were food pills in the treats Sie’s been giving Ocha. Kura jumped back and moved his hands forward, throwing something, but nothing was seen. Sie dashes to the left as Ocha dashes to the right, leaping all over the place. 

The two meet up again behind Kura. Ocha runs to attack but is stopped by having some kunai tossed at her. The dog changes its course but still makes her way toward the human. Kura grins as the dog gets closer, but he fails to remember her owner. Quickly he remembers when she rams into his back, knocking him down to the ground. Ocha jumps on his head-scratching his face and gnawing on his ear. 

Kura gets up after Ocha jumps off his face. He heads to attack Sie, but when she tries to dodge his attack, she notices she can’t move. Falling into Kura’s trap, Sie got tangled up in some thin wires she couldn’t see. Kura grins a smartass grin, and it quickly leaves when Sie turns into Ocha. 

“What? When? How?” Kura was shocked; he didn’t even know Sie could transform into Ocha.

While distracted, he missed his mark while attacking, giving the real Sie time to tackle Kura to the ground. Then, pinning him while Ocha sits on his head, whacking him in the face with each wagging of her tail. 

“I know your weakness. You are good, as long as you keep your enemy at bay and they don’t pin you down,” Sie gloats.

Kura growls, “You win. I give up.” 

“The winner is Sie. That includes the primaries,” coughed Hayate. 

The third and final part of the Chunin exam is in a month. So, of course, Naruto complains about it. But, he doesn’t think that this means he and everyone has a month to prepare.

“He needs to learn patience and when to shut up,” Sie thinks with an eye roll. 

She still might be upset about how he beat her cousin. Calesta places a hand on Sie’s shoulder, and she closes her eyes and lowers her head.

“I know, Calesta,” she whispers. 

 The final round of the chunin exam is going to be exciting and fun.

Fierre's office AU back story can be that he used to work at a black company where all he had for lunch was 1 black coffee and some white people salad if he was lucky to have a break at all LOLL. I was going to give him a little tear but then i was like nah. He can be like when a baby falls but doesn't cry yet and the people around him are wondering if they should be like omg are you ok??? But nobody ends up asking him for better or worse cause he is too prideful to burst out crying in the middle of the cold office floor. *delusional*

I've been busy doing a lot of nothing, if that makes sense. Well, maybe not nothing - a random assortment of rl and blog odds-and-ends that don't seem very productive but I'm going to call it self-care. lol

(read more cause this got longer than I thought it would.)

I don't usually take March Break off work, but my empty schedule this year surprised me and I didn't really know what to do with myself. I spent the first few days fending off a persistent headache, then I spent some time re-watching Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel while I worked on some crossover/fusion potential with OM. Today the headache is back and I'm dog-sitting which shouldn't be as distracting as it is. (She's only a little Boston Terrier but my cats get all worked up about it even though they're the ones stalking her around the house for no reason.)

I've also been playing Honkai Star Rail. I have no idea what I'm doing but it's kind of fun. I want to give Genshin Impact a try too, but I'm not sure I want to play both. (I know dailies are optional blah blah blah but if I'm going to spend time doing busywork like that, I might as well go back to playing WoW.)

Someone sent me another ask about my current WIPs so I think I'll just ramble about them here.

The canon cast and OC post for surgery!anon. I'm trying to balance fluff and angst and realism and make it comforting at the same time (aka what I would've wanted to read before mine). There's some overlap with a post about Solomon's humanity that's it's own separate WIP.

Naming conventions in the Devildom and CR. These are my worldbuilding ideas to explain how Solomon has an established pact with Bathin (my OC for Mephisto's younger brother) since he's part of the Ars Goetia. This also discusses how those same ideas apply to Luke.

Fleshing out the angel OC stuff with Gabriel and Uriel. They're situated in the AU where MC is sent to the CR for the exchange program and not the Devildom which is why I haven't talked about them much. I have the fem!angel OC as well but I don't know what to name her (I want her to be like Zee where she's an "ordinary" angel). To be fair, she's probably not going to show up much outside of the story I originally wrote for her.

Genderbending-the-OCs anon, you have no idea what this is doing to me. It changes their kinks and their dynamics and how they would approach MC and I am mentally screaming into a pillow right now.

I've been writing directly in my Tumblr drafts lately, but I found a holiday fic for Solomon in my google docs. I thought it was a WIP but then I re-read it and it turns out I actually finished it and somehow forgot about it? Like...how does someone even do that. Anyway, do we want a smutty Solomon Xmas-in-March fic? (It's only holiday-ish because of a corny mistletoe joke on his part.)

On a random note, part of me regrets not making separate blogs for AT and my OCs (for organizational purposes) and I'm lowkey tempted to do it anyway.
