october 8th is a very short one shot fic where reader is studying abroad for a year (i can't remember if i decided Paris or some other european city, i don't think i decided at all). The study abroad program has a pen pal program where you can exchange letters with fellow international students and make friends, so she enters it and gets paired with someone from Korea. the program has them exchanging letters for 3 months and she starts falling in love with the person writing the letters... and eventually they meet. it's revealed his name is actually kim taehyung. he confesses he likes her, and she says she feels the. same. they begin dating (cue the smut, and cute dates, etc.)

despite how happy things are, fate has other things in store for them... and things will not end well, is all i can say! muahahahahahahaha

Movie Review!

Oct 8 - House (1977)

So, this movie is not really scary. It is entirely in Japanese, and very psychedelic. There a lot of strange effects for this movie, but they all fit in the movie pretty well. I think it does a really good job of setting the vibe right off the bat, which makes it easy to follow, even when the visuals are crazy.

It's labelled as a horror comedy, which does seem fitting. Like I said, it's not really scary. However, it's pretty interesting to watch! It's easy to let it be unexpected and a little silly, while also leaving you with a little on edge about the fates of the characters.

Oct 7 - More crochet! I'm now seven skeins of yarn into the sweater; above photos are the #6 point two days ago, which I forgot to post, and today's #7 milestone (I wound the 6 new skeins in cakes of 2 each, which is why you can see yarn still on the spinner). Also made an extra big vat of chili, and ran two loads of laundry.

Supper was of course chili and rice, with a side salad.

Oct 8 - Put away the laundry from yesterday. Divided up the chili to freeze (7 big margarine tubs; will probably last into next year before I need to make a new batch). Did more crochet. Turned the leftovers from a BBQ rotisserie chicken the brother and cousin had for supper over the weekend into stock; thinking I'll maybe make some variety of soup out of it tomorrow. Or just freeze it for future use after skimming off the fat (it's in the fridge overnight to congeal).

Supper was saffron risotto, with diced meatloaf for the protein and the tail end of a bag of mixed veg plus some peas and corn for the vegetables.
