Seven years ago today I sculpted this guy for my first daily challenge. Today I made this little 2D animation test out of the old renders. More to come!
This was my 2015 3D-sculpture of a Mano (Hand) alien from the classic Argentinian graphic novel "El Eternauta".
Thang (Martin Gardner)

The titular creature is large enough to grasp Earth between two fingers. It clears off all water and ice before chewing the planet, core and all, before it, in turn, is also eaten by a planet-eater eater."
El Eternauta (The Eternaut) (Héctor Germán Oesterheld)
"Juan Salvo, the inimitable protagonist, along with his friend Professor Favalli and the tenacious metal-worker Franco, face what appears to be a nuclear accident, but quickly turns out to be something much bigger than they had imagined. Cold War tensions, aliens of all sizes, space―and time travel―this one has it all."
Matttt: Héctor Germán Oesterheld & Eternauta - The comic that cost this writer his life
It is almost unthinkable not to read Eternauta by Héctor Germán Oesterheld (born 1919, presumably murdered in 1978) and Francisco Solano López (1928-2011) as an astonishingly anticipatory portrait of Argentinian society under the military dictatorship.
An anticipation of the violence perpetrated by the state in the 1970s, to which Oesterheld and his four daughters also fell victim. To this day, they are among the "desaparecidos", the disappeared opponents of the military dictatorship. Eternauta is the main work of Argentina's most important comic author, which unfolds an oppressively prophetic power against the backdrop of his own fate.
Gustavo Trigo is the artist of the comic series 'La Guerra de los Antartes', written by Hector German Oesterheld for leftwing Noticias newspaper in the 1970s. The series continued the theme of Oesterheld's successful 'El Eternauta' series, about an alien invasion. However, 'La Guerra de los Antartes' had references to the political reality of Argentina. The comic ended when the government forbid further publication of magazine Noticias. Trigo has also illustrated episodes of Oesterheld's 'Sgt Kirk' series. Later in his career, Trigo started working for the Italian market, where he illustrated such series as 'Dylan Dog', 'Nick Raider' and 'Julia'. Gustavo Trigo - Lambiek Comiclopedia
