Found myself doing some doodling to distract myself today, and have ended up doing a two little drawings of Elyse... including doing a very rough design of a more formal outfit for her? I'm posting them even though I'm not the happiest with them, mostly because I love drawing her :)

i haven't talked trans stuff with irl people in a while so when i tell you today was exhausting

#sat in my class minding my own business when the entire class started shitting on trans women #how to argue with these ppl without breaching stealth #i don't pass well as a woman anymore so i'm assuming these people think i'm a very butch lesbian or whatever #no one's uncomfortable with me being in the women's toilets but as soon as a trans woman steps in there all hell breaks loose #hypothetical trans woman in this case btw because there aren't any trans girls in my class but my language recently started using a #more gender-neutral approach to speaking and added an nb gender marker to job descriptions and passports #so of course every language teacher under the sun has to complain about it #and that turned into an unhinged 30 minutes of my teacher pretending to be a trans woman but actually acting like a very flamboyant #drag queen getting ready to bother some ladies in the women's bathroom #and i have never been more uncomfortable in my life #lucky for ME i don't have to attend that class often so i think i'll only head in there for any exams that might come up #transphobia tw #adding this one for the girlies following me #rant time sorry #this is the second time a teacher tried to get some kinda anti-trans approval out of me and i don't know what they're trying to achieve #here but they're barking up the wrong tree here #the m/f/nb gender marker does exactly what it says btw whatever marker's in your passport dictates where you can go and nb bathrooms are #kinda welcoming to anyone men and women included #and all of this is a discussion on its own #but the starting point of this argument for these people was that trans women and trans men can only use nb bathrooms because #they're not 'real' men or women and where to even start here you know #in the end while i was arguing my teacher told me that i don't know what i'm talking about but 'every other man' in this class #knows exactly what he means #cut me off and that was that #it's not about winning or losing here but i think he realised that i was using arguments that he just didn't feel like talking about rn #so i just ended getting cut off and talked over and i wasn't feeling like #raising my voice but it's just uncomfortable to know what this class would have been thinking of me if i hadn't #decided to go by my agab in this evening course #by the way the very first day i attended this course i showed another guy to the women's bathroom because the men's bathroom was closed for #repairs

I've been kinda busy with some IRL stuff lately, so I haven't found much time to draw. In the meantime, I've started using a habit tracker app to try and motivate me to make some more positive changes in my life. Today, I finally decided to add, "draw for at least 1 hour a day" to my dailies list, so hopefully I'll have at least one thing to post a day for a little while, even if it's kinda shitty.

Anyways, as you can probably infer, this is what I did today.

I actually did the sketch for Neon GAB a few weeks ago to go with the Kun3h0 1010s I did, but since I stopped drawing again, I got really rusty (again), and this was one of the simplest sketches I had to try and get back in the groove.

Normally I would post a doodle dump of all the bad sketches I've done since the 1010 oddloop animation, but instead I'm gonna try to use those for my drawing hour for the next few days, so you'll get them eventually, just as a drip feed (and since I'm working on them, they should actually be something worth looking at for 5 seconds).

He's helped - well he knows about this stuff- george has heard.#alex's shaky smile on the other screen as he breathes out a thanks is enough for George to push through the trepidation as he makes the call #Of course Lewis tells him everything #but george cant hear 'emotionally meaningful' and 'sex' and 'alex' in the same sentence without feeling like his chest is being hollowed out #so he lies. says Lewis told him it has to do with life stressors. tries to ignore how his skin crawls when he suggests it to Alex #that he should see if Max is in Monaco. Swallows thickly around the sound of 'you know because of your seat'#Alex laughs unkindly. aghh everybody keeps asking me to consider doing More Things on wednesdays and i don't know if i can do any of them 😥

#dept head asked me to consider adding another class to my schedule. and it sounds super cool #music theory genre studies seminar. aghh #the course says it's offered on a rotational basis but idk when it'll be offered next so idk if this is my one shot or whatever #but i would have to redo my office hours schedule to fit it in. which is annoying for me and my coworkers :/#and the (redacted) band rehearses wednesday evenings. and i COULD make it #but that would be a third weeknight out of five i'd be busy all day #and pack both a dinner and a lunch for myself on the go. aghh #i could probably do one or the other though it'd be A Lot. doing both seems insane #the smart thing to do is probably turn down either. but aghh. fomo :(#i like playing and the class sounds cool!!#but gd i need downtime. and i need time to do homework for my existing classes.#aghhhh #well. i think tomorrow i'll email the prof of that class and ask for more info about it #and i'll talk to my coworkers about potential schedule shuffling #and i'll talk to dan when we get coffee bc man i could use the counsel of a fellow oboist about all this LOL #kindred spirits and all #i wanna talk about me
