Jonny's the self-proclaimed captain of the starship Aurora (though everyone else calls him the first mate), and one of the lead singers in The Mechanisms, a spacefaring cabaret of immortal pirates with lovely voices and extremely gray morals. He hails from New Texas, he's got a heart made of metal, and he likes to play the harmonica and shoot things.

isn’t it crazy that the real life Blackbeard accidentally (if he accidentally did it or not is kinda unclear) shot real life Izzy Hands in the knee and that this injury ultimately saved Izzy's life by keeping him away from the conflict that eventually led to Blackbeards death? that happened in real life. so now we can dig into how this reflects on the fictional characters! did he do him a favour by shooting him? did he kickstart his self reflection? did he save him from destruction? did he make him a unicorn? or do we have a case of this means nothing cause historical accuracy means nothing?

idk I'm disappointed with how jim and oluwande's relationship is being handled in season 2 :( them being poly isn't the problem but I wish their reunion had been more emotional. also the new love interests feel kinda random and tacked on and it feels there's not really any reason to care about them at this point
