just me rambling about my job (affectionate):

the job can be rather stressful but the pros FAR, FAR outweigh the cons; legitimately every single person that i work with/for (and yes, i am including the ceo whom i have actually met) is either on the spectrum (both lgbtqia+ and/or autism) and/or some form of mentally ill and/or some form of chronically ill and/or some form of “weeb” or “gamer” and i just... like no it isn’t perfect and it’s really stressful right now because i’m new and there’s shittons of policies and procedures to memorize and the overall job duties to learn but the incentives and overall EVERYTHING make me feel like bawling my eyes out y’all screw veterinary medicine this is my career (at this specific company which shall not be named) for the rest of my life

#kayleigh.txt #don’t mind me i just am really genuinely enjoying my new job #is it still new if it has been almost an entire month 🤔 whatever #yes it is a job but y’all... i am so fucking lucky #the MAIN downside is that they do regular drug testing (without warning)#and if you have certain drugs in your system you’re immediately terminated #which makes sense tbqh because this is a high security place and you most certainly cannot be high while performing the job #but also... weed makes me feel good LMFAO #oh and the fact that facial piercings aren’t allowed of course 😭 💔#BUT SACRIFICES MUST BE MADE 🤷🏼‍♀️#y’all they literally encourage you to bring stimming stuff/toys to work as long as they don’t make noise #oh cellphones aren’t allowed save for in the break room/locker room/outside of the main room/floor basically too which sucks #anyways i started typing this out last night and then crashed hardcore so ugh #i am gonna doze for another two–ish hours and then get up and shower and go to work #it’s mostly processing low priorities and high priorities and going over more stuff re: benefits and working for the company #i am bringing my fidget spinner today idgaf #also we got squishies last night because our trainer brought them in for us #free squishy toys to squish while processing because high priorities can be very stressful and anxiety inducing obviously #i got a stegosaurus and a pterodactyl 💗
