"it's getting late, you know ... maybe you should just ... stay. if you wanted." for soo <3
@sunfollows : unprompted ask .
bin taesoo was not used to waiting for anyone.
he had always been someone to get what he wanted when he wanted it, or move on to the next person if someone was playing hard to get. after all, he often had more than enough people just waiting for an opportunity — so why should he waste time chasing after someone? he had more important things to do.
however, things were different when it came to harper yi. how long had it been since taesoo had met them? a few months at this point, perhaps. at first they would only see each other on occasion, but then taesoo had grew more insistent, more present in their life. of course that didn't mean harper wouldn't continue to run away from him for awhile still, but he was being patient. it would be worth it in the end, he knew it. taesoo couldn't really explain why he felt such a way about someone he hardly knew, but he wasn't one to question his instincts — and, this time, they were telling that this was his person.
so, he had been taking it slow. sort of.
just because he was taking it slow, didn't mean he had to be casual about it. taesoo didn't bother to hide or tone down his interest, making it clear from the beginning exactly what it was that he wanted. perhaps that was part of the reason harper felt such an urge to flight, but that was something non-negotiable. he would not feign nonchalance or play hard to get, knowing that wouldn't take him where he wanted to go. instead, taesoo continued to double down on his behavior, waiting for the day that harper would finally just... accept it.
it wasn't the first time he had taken the other home, but it was the first time had asked him to come inside after being dropped off. immediately upon hearing those words, taesoo couldn't help the small smirk that appeared on his lips, looking a little too full of himself. " mm, it really is getting late. " taesoo hummed in response, head tilting to the side slightly as he casually placed a hand on the small of their back. they were close to each other, yet it wasn't close enough. it never was close enough.
the hand that rested there subtly pulled him closer, until their bodies were mere inches apart. the tension in the air was almost palpable, so thick that taesoo felt as if he could cut it with the pocket knife he always had with him. still, he very much enjoyed this feeling and how it felt like electricity was running through his veins.
still, taesoo came closer. the gaze that was fixated on harper was as intense as it always had been, as if he was stripping them naked in every way possible. he wanted all of them, with nothing in between, both physically and mentally.
" i will have to warn you, though... " taesoo continued, barely doing anything to touch him more while knowing that the proximity would be more than enough to make harper feel insane. after all, he had gotten quite good at learning how to read them, and he knew just what effect he had on the other too.
after trailing off for another moment, letting words linger in the heavy air between them, taesoo leaned closer even more to whisper by his ear, lips brushing against their skin. " you're playing with fire, harper yi~ "

“c’mon, megumi. tell me what’s botherin’ ya.” satoru pouts at megumi, his arm thrown around the boy’s shoulders. you watch the scene unfold with a tense smile.
megumi was exhausted from school, training and so much more. the teenager’s patience was wearing thin. especially with satoru almost pressuring him into telling you both what’s weighing on his mind. when all he wants is to be left alone at the moment.
the tone satoru’s using to talk to megumi only pisses the high schooler off more and more. it’s fatherly. like he’s still the little child satoru took in and cared for. it pissed megumi off, along with everything else;
“you’re not my dad, so stop fucking acting like you are!”
you freeze. satoru freezes. megumi freezes. time freezes. the silence was deafening. no one was moving. your eyes flicker over to satoru’s and your heart shatters in a million pieces.
satoru’s hurt. so hurt. it’s visible and he’s not hiding it — not hiding it like he usually would behind a wide grin. his blindfold and glasses aren’t there to hide the way his face falls either.
“i know.” satoru whispers. his voice lost its cheery tone, his eyes have lost their spark. the sorcerer slowly distances himself from megumi. a bitter chuckle leaves his lips. a futile attempt to hide his shaky voice, “i know.”
all you could do is stand there in shock. megumi doesn’t know what to do after his little outburst either. and satoru. . . well, satoru is the first one out of the room. you hear his breath hitch as he walks past you. you see his eyes twitch. the strongest, in tears.
