My favourite thing about 7, or my favourite moment is when he's in the daleks shuttle, and he was reconfiguring something, and there was a lone dalek left in there, so when the dalek was shouting screaming and crying, he fucking puts his hat on his eyestalk, basically tells it to shut up and carries on about his day... Doctor Who on iplayer only has a sort of random selection of episodes from the archives, and I've literally never gone looking into Historical Who before now despite watching since the 9th Doctor but Ncuti has me so hype I'm actually going back to watch, and suddenly I have a huge project to check against iplayer and wikipedia and trying to work out what fandom wiki is good, sorting out how to watch this monstrously huge sprawling show over multiple sources...

Anyway, how do I even find out WHY iplayer has curated its episodes despite sort of implicitly advertising they have all the old Who. Do they think the episodes they aren't hosting are too bad to show or are there just weird conflicts? I mean I can find the episodes elsewhere, it's just weird.

As someone who grew up in Sci Fi Fandom surrounded by a low key radiation of Doctor Who but Forbidden From Watching because my dad disapproved of it, it's not lost on me either that I've got really excited to watch it as he's like. On his deathbed. Shaaaaame on the family. Shaaaaame lmao

Honestly watching Doctor Who back when it rebooted in the 2000s literally did dig me out of the hole of curating my entire media landscape to what he approved of and daring to watch "bad" TV so I'm trying not to make too many parallels in my life. It really is just the raw charisma beam that hit me on Christmas and not JUST belated rebellion from a safe distance :')

Any advice or recommendations on where to start with Doctor Who content outside the show?

To all the Doctor Who super nerds out there who have ingested every ounce of Doctor Who content in existence, I was obsessed with Doctor Who as a kid but kinda fell out of it once I had caught up around the time of the poorly written 13 era. Now that RTD is back, I'm starting to slowly reignite my passion for the series, and am wanting to get into some of the extended universe stuff like the audio dramas or comics or something but don't know where to start. Any suggestions?
