Hello from the Panathenaic Stadium! Located in Athens, Greece, it held the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and is the only stadium in the world made entirely of marble. Isn’t that wild? I think a lot about what other passions I would pursue as a career if I didn’t choose architecture. And one of them is to be an Olympic World Class Badminton player. I currently play as a hobbyist, but I would’ve loved to see how far I could’ve gone with proper training from a young age. I definitely have the competitiveness and self drive covered, but without proper training, there’s no way to get to that level. Are there any other things you would like to pursue in life? Some of my other interests that I haven’t dabbled in, but would like to are DJing, being a performance artist like dancer and an MMA fighter. Life is just too short, in my opinion, to do everything you want. Oh well! I’m happy with my passions, but there’s just so much I’m interested in. Happy Wednesday y’all! International Olympic Day.

Wednesday (June 23) marks International Olympic Day. The day was chosen by the International Olympic Committee in 1948 to promote the Olympic idea and the importance of organising mass sports competitions across the world. Over the last two decades, the day has seen Olympic Day runs across nations, and some nations have even incorporated the Olympic idea into school curriculums.

This year is special given the highly-anticipated Summer Olympics in Tokyo, scheduled to be held between July 23 and August 8. Delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will, however, still be referred to as the ‘2020 Tokyo Olympics’. A total of 339 events across 33 sports are lined up at the Games.

Yesterday I finally made it back to the the Big O Pipe. I was surprised there was no people sessioning it on a Sunday. But I still had fun by myself though, mostly practicing my ditch grabs. I love skateboarding cause it teaches me to work hard to achieve my goals and also be patient with my limitations. At the beginning of the sesh I was not getting this trick at all, mostly cause I wasn’t committing to the tight land. My mind was like “maybe this is the year where I’m too old to land these”. But my soul said “No way, I’m gonna prove you that Chris is gonna catch this lil bit of air till the day he dies!!”. Day 2 in Athens (January 2020) - The Temple of Poseidon and Olympic Stadium

We took a 2-hour bus ride from Athens to the Temple and the scenery was amazing! The weather was lovely (bascially an Irish summer) and the whole experience was just phenomenal. We met two American girls at the Temple and we got to talking about Harry Potter because I was wearing a Hogwarts t-shirt :D
